Review The Brewery - Townsville

Great atmosphere, have lots of great house brewed beers on tap. Food was nice and great prices especially the specials, game same palmie and pot for $15 is an absolute winner in my books.

Had a delicious main meal there (crispy skinned salmon) last night. It was so good and accompanied with lovely asparagus and potato. The service was very good. I have to go back now and try the seafood linguine. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Nice relaxing atmosphere, good selection of beers and light lunch menu. Live music and friendly staff.

Had the best night. Our 1st night there. Loved the food, atmosphere and service. Loved it. Thank you to all the staff. Bar and kitchen, well done. Pepper sauce is best I've had.

Nice salt n pepper squid, air-conditioned with comfy booths, service is friendly. Basic menu.

An eclectic pub located in the old Townsville post office building. Great atmosphere created blending homely furnishings with modern technology. Interesting craft beers to explore from the brewery in house. Friendly helpful staff.

Hot chocolate was bitter, and wasn't overly chocolate like I would like. The coffee was good other then a little mix up which was sorted promptly and efficiently. Customer service was a positive.

Very disappointing. Have been there before & they have had GF options as I am coeliac. Only one item on the menu was potato curry. Asked if there were other options and was told the chef said only what was on the menu? Really, not even any meals listed as Gluten Free Options (steak & salad for example). Won't be returning until things change.

Called in for a in house beer & pizza. What fantastic place, looks great, brilliant beer & food with quality service. Well done Townsville 😎😎

This was our first time we had visited the Brewery and we were impressed! We have travelled around the USA several times and have found this kind of Restaurant over there however this is the first time back on home turf that we've found something close to what we have seen. Well done Townsville for having such a quirky establishment, great seroundings, food, beers, prices and staff. We will travel the 3 1/2 hour drive to dine in again someday soon.

Just spent over $100 eating at this place and my partner got food poisoning. After calling, the manager admitted that other people had also previous received food poisoning as well but refused to refund us our money. Was a complete joke, will never eat here again!

Food restaurant side was perfect, quality and quantity. Brought the beer paddle $12 amazing price to try every beer. Definitely recommend.

i got a 10% off for a year card because one of the staff gave my family and i bad service. i used it multiple times untill an unhappy manager told me it was only good for one use. i feel that the service In general has gone down at that place while the food prices have gone up.

My Husband and I had dinner New Years Eve at the Brewery and were very impressed! It looks really nice inside and we thought dinner was well priced for the quality and quantity of the food we received. Ended the night with one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had :) definitely recommend and will be back!

My new favorite place, ordered the steak burger on the lunch menu and it was amazing (for a thin steak, it wasn't leathery at all, nice change). The guy running the bar is so bloody helpful, letting me try all the different Townsville brews through the afternoon until I found the right one for me. Surprised more people aren't here at lunch, really.

Fantastic atmosphere - lovely building and decor. Staff are friendly and efficient. Food was delicious! Dessert platter highly recommend �

I went to a wedding recently the meal was not restaurant quality and was way over priced by at least $50 a head and that is being generous as the meal cost a hell of lot more. Each guest was given a bread roll. I asked for a bread roll for a child and told the catering did not allow for that even though at least 4 adults didn't attend and no extra bread rolls where on the table. The tab went up quickly when 90% of people were drinking soft drinks. staff started bringing out jugs of soft drinks around 9pm then they would take the half filled jugs away soon after and then return with fresh jugs without anyone requesting a jug. I was thinking of having a wedding there for a family member as the place looked nice but after the food hell no and the experience of the bar tab even though I didn't pay for it. Lesson learnt through others. Winning.

Service leaves much to be desired and their beers aren't nearly as good as the staff seem to think they are. Staff do not create a friendly atmosphere. Could use an attitude readjustment.

Awesome place! A MUST do if you come to Townsville! They brew amazing beers! Such a shame you can t buy them in Sydney 😁

An enormous shout out to all the amazing staff working on Thursday night (Dec 7th 2017) helping with our Christmas Party! You all went above and beyond.. in particular the barman/photographer! So I went to Malt The Brewery for a work function with a dozen colleagues on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was not busy, with maybe another 2 or 3 small groups of dinners. I should have been concerned when it took the staff over 30 minutes to come and take our order, but I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. I waited as a number of meals come out for my colleagues at sporadic intervals (I mean why would we want to eat our meals together?). Sure enough after most of the meals had arrived over a 45 minute period there were three of us who had not received our meals. The waitress then tried to explain that they had a new 'system' and that our 3 orders out of the 12 had been 'lost' (not sure how that happens when she wrote them all down and then plugged them into their 'system'). So we were assured the problem would be fixed and that we would receive our meals promptly. That did not happen and by the time my meal arrived I had waited almost 2 hours from the time I originally ordered. Sorry but in a service based industry that is just not good enough and not even an apology was forth coming. I raised my displeasure when paying the bill and yep you guessed it, I was still charged the full price. Very unhappy and will not be recommend this place to anyone �

The food was excellent, loved how you could choose to have it paired with craft beer. Bloody nice beer!
