Review Herveys Range Heritage Tea Rooms - Townsville

Best place on the hills. Great food. Good coffee and scone with plum jam. Breakfast was refined. Early in the morning, we found a spot in the sun (table 55). Friendly teams.

What can I say apart from amazing. The best ice long black I have ever had, and the scones where nothing short of awarding winning. I had a steak sandwich which my wife ended up eating half because it was so good. The ambience and tranquility of the place made you want to stay there just a little longer. Want to add that it’s very reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly. Thank you for a great brunch. I can’t recommend this place enough. If your anywhere near Townsville, definitely make the effort to come Herveys Range Heritage Tea Rooms, you won’t regret it.

Great experience. Loads of food and choice of lots of different types of tea. Hostess was very friendly. Loved the short stroll around the grounds where we saw an amazing number of butterflies.

Great place, Good food and friendly staff but unacceptable waiting times. We have waited over 1.30hours to get the food. The management has to do something to sort out the long waiting time.

The best cappuccino and dessert in Townsville. When you ask for a large cappuccino and they bring you a boat you know you are in for a treat. Great fresh coffee beans and a yummy dessert.

Brilliant lunch here today. Great little historic past hotel, working farm and now Heritage Tea Rooms. Fantastic little spot, friendly staff, fast service, DELICIOUS FOOD, great prices and beautiful area to relax in and walk around their lagoon and historic relics. Dog friendly. We'll be back.

Highly recommend. Not that they need to be busier as they are usually always reasonably full. Booking in advance is advised to ensure your not missing out. We try and make it up here at least once on each of my tour breaks. Absolutely love it. Peaceful, relaxing environment with attentive and happy staff that make and bring out amazing food and drinks. Thanks folks.

Booked online. Wait for 2 hours to get coffee and tea and foods. Over 90 min, asked is there any chance when our foods and coffees comes out? Answer was ' It is comes out when it's ready'. Breaky beacame a lunch. Paid 80 bucks for 2 ppl. Canned baked beans, cheap sausage, expensive comepare to quality. Tea is alright. But not really worth for 2 hours tho. Take 30 min to get sugar for my tea. Well I can not use the sugar becasues tea is gone. Clean my self for space on table. Selling old memory with 'don't give a s*** mind'. Never again for me. Quality, service both are not here. Pic : $18 veggie breaky. Not even anything in the smashed avo. No salt paper nor lemon juice.

Lovely staff, so friendly and great food! We had our wedding here and it was the best day, throughout all the planning and organising the staff were incredible and so helpful. We are always returning for breakfast and lunch we love the tea rooms, it will always be one of our go to places!

From the time we arrived at the tea rooms to the time we got our simple order of drinks and a cake for two people it took 2hours. It was good food and drinks, however probably not worth the wait that we had. It’s a nice drive, and if it hadn’t had been for that drive, it would have been a poor experience.

The tea rooms holds a special place in our heart with being married there in Feb. The owners and staff went above and beyond especially since it was flooding the day before (who gets married in February in Townsville ). We always bring our out of town family and guest here, and we all speak so highly of the Tea rooms Ps the scones are my fave!!!!!!

My wife and I recently were lucky enough to have been married at the tea rooms and hold the reception up there. Couldn't recommend more! Very accomodating and great friendly service. Have been back multiple times for breakfast and walk away with a smile each time

A random find by googling things to do. Great drive for scones and tea. Our experience was positive, and enjoyable. It was something different to do on holidays. I prefer scones from an oven not microwave so the only negative from me. But overall ok. Loved the pumpkin ones. There was a wedding on while there, but service was reasonable. I’d recommend.

We always love to visit the Tea Rooms. Such an amazing atmosphere and the food is always delicious, especially the scones! The staff are very friendly and willing to go above and beyond. The wait time may be a little longer when it gets busy, but it's always worth it!

My Daughter and her Fiancé were married at The Teahouse yesterday the 25th February. We had the ceremony and reception under The Shed. It was amazing!!! Desley was wonderful- she was so helpful and the staff that were behind the bar were brilliant!!! Thankyou so much for everything you done last night and leading up to the special event. I highly recommend The Teahouse for any function. We appreciate your help so much. (Also would like to thank Mother Nature for the wonderful temperatures and not raining on us )

Great place, just relax and have a simple breakfast with some friends. Placing your order is slow but that's because there is so many people waiting in line, always seem to take forever. Food arrives fast though. Coffee arrived cold we just drank it, there is just to many people to try and get a replacement made.

Haven’t been for a drive up that way for awhile. Great after the rain, everything is lovely and green. Family enjoyed a great brunch. Good food and friendly service.

Couldn’t fault the business in any way! We had our wedding here earlier this year and the owners and staff were amazingly helpful, friendly and the venue was stunning! They went above and beyond to make our day perfect! We have been back many times and have always had wonderful, friendly service from all the staff!

Its awesome place to visit and experience the simple way of food. Not very flash or starred meals. Simple dishes presented well and every meal or share platter came out with a pleasant smile on the face and always a can do better approach. Doing very well, but also have to add its got more potential than just a couple of snacks. All the best. Will see tou next time.

Waited exactly 40minutes for a large coffee and home made iced tea and another 5 to 10minutes for the Steak Sandwich and all day breakfast, poached egg were like hard boiled egg didnt bother to return coz we might wait for another half an hour for an eggs.

Very Disappointing 😢 We had Family Fly in from Melbourne so we Specifically Booked a table for 7 People , Only to get there and be told someone else was seated at our table and they would not ask them to move or leave ??????? We Needed Facilities to cater for our disabled Aunt , the Ramp was Essential What was the point in Booking ?????? Needless to say we left and did not spend a cent . Their Loss !!!!!!!!!!!!

Very disappointed to see a business not being proactive & identifying their busy days as a potential greater income stream. I sat & watched so many people leave without spending a single dollar. The line up to buy a simple bottle of water would take over 40 minutes. Same time to order a coffee or a meal. One would think that a mobile coffee unit would of been introduced by now to be able to relieve the long queue. A simple Bacon & Egg bbq tent would also relieve pressure. The majority of bikers & car clubs are not looking for a 5 star meal. However queuing up for that period of time loses your business so much income it is sad. Please take this as a constructive comment & I would love to hear your thoughts on why you don't look at alternative ways to accommodate your clientele Our food & drinks were good when they finally arrived. Luckily for me, I had water on my bike to stay hydrated. Sorry you missed out on that $10 worth of cold drinks we didn't buy. How much more did you miss out on?

Great place to go outside of the hussle and bussle of the city for a nice coffee and food. Recommend this to all.
Mitchell Lowy
A absolutely great hangout. Every time I have been up there the service has been great. Although the waiting times are long, I am not to fussed with waiting around while I have mates to chat with which 99% of the time.
Jenny Floyd

Always love getting up to the Tea rooms. Best caramel tart you’ll ever taste. Always helpful staff and we appreciate the work they put in. Love the history of the area.

Yesterday I went to the tea rooms with my family and family friend and it was busy but they had our food out before 1pm and the lady was very friendly because I have coeliac disease so she made a note I am coeliac.
