Review Miss Songs - Townsville

We had an amazing night at Miss Songs last night. Our table of 5 was well looked after with regular service in a friendly and relaxed manner. Our order included duck pancakes, quite a few dumplings, signature fried rice and our favourite the Mongolian Lamb served on a sizzling plate. We can’t wait to return! Thanks for a sensational night Miss Songs.

Good quality food. Not cheap. We enjoyed the duck banquet. 5 courses of duck based dishes. All very tasty. They were happy to swap out the crab and duck buns for spring rolls at our request.

Great restaurant. Expansive menu and reasonable wine list but not many wines by the glass. I recommend the sashimi and the duck pancakes!

We had a wonderful experience dining at Miss Songs. We were visiting Townsville for only one night and thought we would 'wing it' in regards to dinner plans and didn't make any reservation. We first went to Quarterdeck and found it to be was too packed and too noisy so we thought we would try our luck getting in here. We called as they seemed very busy, the girl on the phone was very friendly and let us know there was one remaining table, lucky we were only just outside the restaurant and we were able to secure two seats. Although the restaurant was absolutely packed our service was very quick (this includes being brought water, having our order taken, food and drinks arriving quickly). We both had the banquet #1 - we found it to be very tasty and perfect sized portions (we were so full at the end!). The cocktails were very tasty. The price certainly is on the higher end however we did not mind as the food and service were great - it is definitely not a place we would dine regularly but I would certainly be happy to return. I want to make special mention of our waitress 'Emily' - she did an excellent job.

My partner and I came here for date night. We sat on a table overlooking the pool. Cocktails we had Coco Colada i had the Amaretto Sour both drinks were delicious and well presented Coco Colada had a bit too much coconut shavings on top. Food we tried Entrees Porkbelly we we're not fans it was greasy some pieces where nice but no taste of 5 spice. I would remove and change to pork belly slices wok fried Salt & Pepper calamari was beautiful well seasoned good serving. Duck steam buns bland just had a little spicy taste. But the buns themself light and fluffy how they should be. Mains Sweet and Sour Pork recommended by the waiter and it did not dissapoint the sauce was the best I've had beautiful pieces of pork. Wok fried scallops had so much flavour would highly recommend Miss songs fried rice scallop was undercooked needed to be a bit more seasoned. The table lighting was cute and different but not bright enough felt like i was Harry Potter trecking through a menu. Our waiter was funny great communication followed up on how our meals were. He is the kind of waiter you want for your business. Being used to restaurants at Crown Melbourne this place has so much room for potential Would come back

Completely overpriced and underwhelming food this here is their “pork Belly” which was greasy battered pieces of something nondescript. The whole experience was entirely under whelming the waitresses were not attentive and I had to wait over half an hour for my drink to arrive. When I complained that the pork belly was not as described the manager there said well since you ate some of it we can’t refund it. That wasn’t the point this place was so average I would have had a better meal getting a frozen meal. I will not be returning here again. Poor service average food please avoid at all costs. The food is supposed to be fusion but it’s cheaply put together average quality ingredients. And the worst “pork belly”I have ever tried. If they do not improve the quality of food this place will be on its way out.

Amazing food and exceptional service. Our waiter Joe was absolutely amazing. I can not praise him highly enough for his excellent attention to detail and personable demeanour. Definitely would come back again and recommend to our family and friends.

We had a table booked for 8:30pm but on arrival had to wait half an hour for a table to become available. It was a busy night for a Sunday and the staff seemed flustered. We were seated near the kitchen and during our visit we heard at least 4 plates / glasses smash onto the floor. The air conditioner vents in the ceiling above us dripped water on us the whole time. Drinks took 15 minutes to arrive after ordering. We had Banquet 1. I’m not sure that I liked the salt and pepper calamari but others in my group thought it was ok. The peppered beef and the sweet and sour pork were delicious. The Miss Songs fried rice was nice overall but the pieces of scallop were weird - strange texture and an artificial taste (I usually love scallops). They did give us a free round of drinks (beers and coke) in lieu of a table not being available. For the price I did not see the value. The meal overall was good but it was a rather average dining experience. We probably won’t go back.
