It was just the best find whilst on our way peddling home the other morning. We had pass two other establishments on our way but we couldn't say no to this one!!

Hoi Polloi is our favourite coffee place in town. Quirky, funky with awesome staff and gorgeous coffee. We love the new addition of the 'Jazz Room' upstairs for those who want their fabulous coffee with air conditioning.

Great coffee, best espresso in town. I think it's amazing on the nights in the laneway when you also get to see a great old film and all for just a gold coin donation. Keep up the good work!

Great service, thanks guys. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They even gave us plates and serviettes for our birthday cake. Will be back.

Lovely little cafe that you can enjoy either from Flinders St, or is the tucked away laneway! Coffee spot on, and the Barrister was friendly and knew her stuff!

Funky spot in the city If it wasn't for the humidity you could be in Melbourne

This little cafe is a hidden jem in Townsville. 'The Hoi Polloi'. Denham lane. Three brothers starting out. Would love to see this happen for them. Great tasting coffee. Loved the decor and the guys relaxed nature. If you love coffee with an atmosphere you have to get yourself here! Xkg

Mum says "good coffee, very hot with good aroma, nice tartness. Loved the banana bread thanks to the walnuts and banana chunks. Also liked the seating outside! Nb. Table had character but a bit wobbly. Still liked it."

Served delicious iced lattes on plant-based milk (with metal straws!!) by two lovely baristas. Very cool cafe decked out with vintage trinkets, plenty of board games and books to keep you entertained during your visit. Highly recommend

Strong smooth long black. Hip interior, thoughtful design touches throughout! Love the scrappy boho chic in the alleyway seats too.

Strongly recommend this place. Perfect for friend meetings or dates. Very good experience: nice coffee, alternative music, personal service. Best part is all decoration making an UNIQUE cafe in town. Weekend nights have very good vibes too!! Just go!

We were looking for a coffee and this place had good reviews so we decided to give it a try. It has fun, eclectic, street arty vibe. We ordered caramel almond lattes, a cappuccino and a flat white. All coffees were good 8/10. We wanted a bite to eat so tried the orange and poppy seed cake and a roast beef roll. No complaints. We will drop by again next visit to Townsville.

Fantastic quirky coffee discovery! Out of the way hidden gem. COVID safe. Friendly and clean. Great coffee. And the Cheese ham & tomato 🍅 croissants 🥐 are yum! Such an interesting little cafe! Thanks guys! We will be back! Little slow with getting coffee out but not to worry as everything is so tranquil and interesting to look at around the place... even a ton of books!
