Review Frank's Pizza Napoli - Townsville

Really disappointed tonight. We have been going to Frank's Napoli for years regularly for both dine in & take away. Food & service is always amazing, have never been able to fault. Tonight on our way to Frank's we withdrew $200. Meal & service was beautiful until the end when we billed out. Our total was $156.50 and I had in my mind there was only $150 in the wallet so I grabbed the 2 x $5 notes as well from my bag. She put the cash straight in the til without counting it. My husband was saying something to me and it was so quick. We got to the door and he asked why I gave her $210 when there was 2 x $5 notes & 4x$50 notes and I received no change. I quickly mentioned to them I gave them accidentally $210 and she said no love u didn't, it was 2x$5 and $150 and I said no we got $200 out and she just said no. Yet never counted my cash she just put it in the til. My bank app also states we drew out $200. We have never had a bad experience until now made to feel like I was lying or trying to rip them off. Such a big tip they have now received tonight an extra $53.50. So Franks if you add up the bill totals & your til tonight & your over by our amount of $53.50 then it is kindly ours. I suggest in future it would be good if you actually counted peoples cash in front of them not just pop it in the til & for everyone else I suggest you do the same. I will make sure I do the same also also, a lesson learnt by myself tonight 😞

Just as good as I remember! Went here multiple times when I lived here 10 years ago, and came for a visit recently. The parmy was just as good as I remember! Easily feeds 3 people, and everything comes with Spag Bol. Yum!! A family run restaurant with passion. Frank’s is a Ville Institution!

My fettuccine carbonara tasted like it was garnished heavily with flour. We would have sent the dish back but unfortunately we were seated near the kitchen area and got to listen to the chef talk terribly about other customers/their children and their own workers throughout our meal and decided not to. Absolutely disgusting and over priced with horrible service, I asked about the wait time and was told there was no wait as all of the tables had been served.. then watched the other 10 tables get served their pizza first. After about 30 minutes waiting I started a timer to humour my friend and clocked 28 minutes on top of my already rough 30 minutes.. only to have a horrible under cooked and flavourless pizza ohh and then told I can't pay with card.. I haven't held cash in years as it's 2021 and it's not often I visit dodgy cash only businesses..

I have forgotten how good Frank's is! It's been a while between visits (over 6 years) and both times the friendly service was above and beyond. The food is amazing, generous and fresh. Family owned and run, it's always a nice change to eat at a place that doesn't try too hard but focuses on the things that matter. Food and its customers. We'll be coming back more often. Big tip. Bring cash as they have no eftpos.

Great value for money, Traditional tasty Italian food. I highly recommend Dave’s Special

$19.50 for a small container with maybe 4-5 pieces of ricotta cheese ravioli pasta, absolutely not worth it, and thanks for heavily cross contaminating my vegetarian pizza with meat, not a care in the world making these pizza, sloppy, hard base and absolutely tasteless. Never again, will not recommend. Pictures are nothing like the real food, don't be deceive.

Kid free, date night last night so decided to finally try Franks Napoli for the first time & it was amazing!!!!!! Such friendly welcoming service, prompt food timing. Food was very delicious. I have been saying for ages I wanted to try & my partner hasn’t been since he was a teenager & i can’t believe I haven’t been sooner!!! Definitely will be going back to try all the other yummy food on the menu. Must say it is honestly the best Italian food we have had in townsville & in a while anywhere else. Pretty good price to ��

Fantastic value for money...best value in town!!!! Great pizzas, pastas, and meals! Cheese focaccia is awesome!!!! Been eating there for over 30 years and never has a bad meal or bad service!!!!! If you cone away from Franks hungry then there is seriously something wrong with you!!!!!

Slack service, inconvenient with no eftpos, food was terrible and expensive. Not to mention 90% of the menu consisted of either pork, beef or seafood - how about some variety for those who can't eat those? Will not venture there again.

The garlic aroma hits you as you walk through the door and makes your heart sing. The Family uses the freshest ingredients, making their pizzas second to none. Dave's Special Parmigiana is hands-down the best I've ever had..took me four (4) days to eat it all, but hey, you can't let quality like that go to waste. Definitely a priority destination for locals and visitors alike.

Amazing spaghetti and the Vienna Schnitzel is to die for. If only they had tiramisu to top off a great meal

Worst pizza in Townsville. So bland and tasteless. Not too heavy on the toppings either.
