Lovely cafe, great food and friendly service. I'm impressed by the measures they are taking with reusuable takeaway options such as discounts for BYO cups and paper straws.

These past few months, I've visited Colonial Cafe from time to time. Their chocolate milkshake is the best in Townsville. I also usually leave with an egg and lettuce roll on dark bread -- it hits the spot. The staff are friendly and efficient, the only real drawback is that it's quite small. That said, I always have found a seat. Oh, a nice touch. The tables have inspirational sayings on them. Well worth checking out.
Colonial Cafe is a shining gem in Townsville's suburbs. The food is excellent and they have options in savoury and sweet to suit a range of dietary requirements. The vegan, gluten free fudge brownies are the best ever - I have brought them along to work functions and no one believes they don't contain animal products or wheat.
A fantastic lunch time coffee and eating experience.. With the added bonus of being able to phone in orders for timely takeaway!
Great lunch today the locally made cornbread , tomato chutney and passion friut tart was delicious 😚
