Review Raja's Curry House - Townsville

We were recommended Raja's Curry House from our Indian friends (now aussies). They said it was the most authentic Indian restaurant food they've had in Australia. We've had their take our three times now. It's not the Australian version of Indian food, it's the real thing and it's delicious. Cost is on par with other Indian places so totally worth a try

My order was to be a large tikki marsala chicken (curry only). I got rice with my order. I asked for medium but it has NO flavour. The girl taking orders was very nice, didnt seem

With all due respect, I would not consider this authentic let alone "Indian" food. It looked like something an Aussie would make at home having no Indian or cooking background. I ordered a butter chicken which lacked flavour, there was no sauce it was like a thick stew chicken veggie stew and seemed to be made with a shredded woolworths chicken... The rice was also gluggy like glue when you put too much water in the rice and over cook it. The second dish we ordered was some sort of beef dish which was a step up from the butter chicken which was below average to say the least. I don't want to be rude but I wouldn't go back. Especially as each dish was roughly $18.50+ I was honestly shocked with what we received and really disappointed. I should have taken it back and asked for a refund as I threw it in the bin.

The lovely lady who served us had great customer service and made really good food. Haven't eaten indian food in a while but I will be back here when I want it next.

The best Indian food I've had in Townsville. Rogan Josh's curry and garlic naans are delicious. Excellent prices...Highly recommended

Over cooked rice, real thin curry sauce and the chicken was hardly marinated if at all. 16.50 for a half rice half curry container. No thanks.

Have enjoyed eating from here for over 11 years, delightful owner who understands great food. Still amazing :)

I didn't like the food I had.. I don't think this is a good place to experience the Indian cuisine...
