Stayed here early Feb 2022. Very clean, quiet and best views to Magnetic island and beyond. Will definitely stay again if I find myself in Townsville. They have a bar area with all beer stubbies for only $5. That's practically bottle shop prices. Best value for money and best views! Wonderfully friendly cleaning staff who double as bar staff.
Very clean, very quiet, very nice views. Very pet friendly Sophie our foxy wants to come back as it is closer to the top of Castle Hill goat track. Great hotel with magnificent views out to Magnetic Island and the Whitsunday. Great deck area to enjoy breakfast (Get the Omelette) or watch the sunset. Quiet Rooms that are clean and tidy and the owner will go out of his way to assist you with anything if required.
We needed a quick escape from the Melbourne winter and The Island View Motel was absolutely perfect. It was wonderful after a day in Townsville and Magnetic Island to walk up the hill away from the bustle of the town and be greeted by the peace and tranquillity of our accommodation and to sit and have a drink overlooking sea and Islands. Thank you Chris and Toni for your hospitality.
So pleasant to stay with our dog. The room was spacious with all amenities. The best part is outdoors with breathtaking view and lush gardens. Lovely bbq area with clean bbq. Owners are super friendly and helpful.
Very convenient location if you have a car. Close to the Strand and supermarket and restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable. Quiet location but soundproofing to adjoining room not great.
