Great food and great staff a very beautiful place to go.

Fantastic fish curry. Big chunks of crispy fish with lots of veggies is a rich curry. Loved it and a very generous serving. The staff were eager to please and the owner a great host. Toilets were super clean.

The first thing that caught my eye upon entering Satay Mas was the beautiful interior design, they hit the nail on the head on that one. You really do feel like you are dining in at an authentic Chinese restaurant. The food itself is amazing but it can be easy to become bored of it. The parking situation can be confusing however, as you have to park around the corner of the establishment and walk over.

Delicious food and fast friendly service! I bout the Chinese curry chicken tonight and was absolutely amazed, my tastebuds are bouncing! Thank you so much!

Have been coming here for over 15 years now and it never disappoints. The staff are friendly and there are dine in options available as well as take away. A favourite for me is their buffet however with COVID currently they have removed this and are doing dine off the menu instead. Hand sanitizer is provided at the door and tables are sanitized between diners to ensure that cleaning standards are kept. They have a very large menu range with items including Malaysian and Chinese dishes that are at great prices. Desserts are also available. It's recommended to book ahead if dining in. For take away, wait time is usually about 15 minutes as food is cooked to order. Parking is available at front and also around the back. Note that there is no wheelchair ramp available so assistance may be required if you are using a wheelchair to access the restaurant.

Offers very good value. Every dish was fresh and delicious, place was clean and the table was cleared often. Perfect family meal.

Just ordered take away lunch and was very disappointed . Meat overcooked and dry . Sweet and sour veggies could be counted on one hand . Special fried rice .. nit so special ... dry and tasteless . Wont be back .

I reserved a table couple of days ahead and when we got there there was so table under our name and he had to set a table up for us which he wasn’t too happy about. We sat down and got our drinks order but we were unsure if there was table menus or just the buffet as we haven’t been there before. One guy explained there was no menus and then another waitress brung us menus. The food was average, but wasn’t restocking the food enough for everyone in the restaurant. The desert was shocking. And my boyfriend decided he didn’t want his food anymore so when we got home he threw it up, it actually made him very very sick. Satay mas you were a big let down. Disappointed.... never again.

We do date night every thursday night at somewhere different each week. This was by far a winner. The food was beautiful, deserts nice too. Could do with a few more options for fussy kids, n maybe softdrink station, i wont be taking the kids there but overall there was a great selection. The service was 2nd to no other that I've come across in north qld. The price was great for the food you get:)

If you are ever in Townsville and are looking for a good place for Malaysian food, this is the place. When we lived in Townsville we frequented Satay Mas. It is an enjoyable dining experience, with wonderful staff and even better food. With a buffet and a la carte menu, everything for everyone. And the lunar new year is celebrated wonderfully as well :-)

Always exceptional. Never found anything in the slightest to complain about. Great variety. Could eat there every night forever. Staff friendly and attentive.

Enjoyed dinner on Saturday night. Loved their beef and black bean, sweet and sour pork and omelette. Great variety of food, something to please even the fussiest eater.

So much better than Capitol as the food actually has flavour. Buffet price on Sunday through Thursday is good value. Would be a 5 star rating if, like most buffets, post mix drinks was also included such as restaurants like Aqua or Sizzler. Post mix is cheap to provide and means that children are catered for better as they only have a couple per visit. It would so mean the adults would spend more $ on drinks for themselves when budgeting for a night out.

Yummo yum yum was the best buffet spread ever .. and deserts yum
