Review Zaab Zaab - Traralgon

I have a new favourite when it come to fried rice! It was delicious. I ordered the chicken fried rice and I was not disappointed. The quality of the food was exception, customer service was very good and the restaurant was spotless. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Also, the coconut water is fantastic. There a hint of toasted coconut which was a very welcomed surprise. 5 stars to you Zaab Zaab!

Authentic Thai Food!! Must try if you're a Singaporean looking to satisfy your Thai food crave! Tomyum, Clams, Pineapple Fried Rice are our fave. Very friendly boss even if we are a group of 10! All the best to you. 🙏

Authentic and absolutely amazing Thai food prepared by owner/chef. The fish dishes (steamed fish + lemon, garlic and chilli sauce) was amazing and resembles the flavours of Thai food in Bangkok! Fresh fish, zingy + punchy flavours in the sauce. Another two highlights were the Pad Thai & Fried Soft-shell Crab with curry powder sauce was another great treat to tongue palate. Note: Photo of Soft-shell crab not taken because we were busy digging into the food served. Friendly staff/owner who knows to stay true to their authentic Thai food, and doesn't compromise to providing under-prepared Thai milk tea. We had ordered a Thai Milk Tea, the owner was honest to let us know that the Milk tea isn't ready for serving customers; as the milk tea preparation requires time to concentrate/set. A place that I would definitely come back to visit without hesitation, whenever around Traralgon.

On a busy Christmas day , Zaab Zaab delivers great Thai food , Friendly staff, clean restuarant, and convenient location in Traralgon CBD. Highly recommended.

I chose this restaurant because it had good reviews. The actual venue is sort of like a shop/take away place, but, that didn't matter. The service was great - very personal, attentive and friendly. The tom yum soups were just right. I had stir fried veg and tofu with chilli and basil leaves - it was the best Thai meal I've had in a very, very long time. We'd highly recommend Zaab Zaab, and will definitely go there again.

Food and service were excellent. Props to the chef for coming out to speak to his customers personally. The Chilli And Basil Fried Rice is a must try and is highly flavourful, as was the Green Curry. Portions were also great. Overall, a great experience. A definite must-try when in Traralgon.

On a busy Easter Friday weekend, we had the pleasure of eating at Zaab Zaab. They serve authentic Thai food catering to your taste buds. We had a spicy Red and Panang curry which was really tasty. The service was also excellent. Highly recommend it to anybody looking for fast and friendly service and a variety of Thai food options.

We were in Traralgon for the night and discovered a gem, Zaab Zaab Thai. A small restaurant with a great heart and generous servings. The food was some of the best we've had outside Thailand! We're from Melbourne and our local Thai closed down recently. Zaab Zaab is a great replacement but a long trip for dinner, but one we will make when travelling through Gippsland. The Larb gai, Duck Cuury and Pad Thai were all good, fresh, tasty and authentically Thai. Five stars for food and great service.

Visited this small family-run Vietnamese restaurant in Traralgon. We had the Tom Yum, Red Duck Curry and Stir Fry Noodles with Roast Pork. We really enjoyed the roast pork which had a nice crispy skin. The Tom Yum was a little bit disappointing though. However, its a bit on the pricey side, although this is understandable due to its location.

Very polite and friendly owner. Was recommended to come. Pretty busy place. Food looks very appetizing.

We loved our meal so much! The Tom yum was spicy and sour and perfect. The kids loved the chicken satay and the yellow curry. The Thai chicken salad was fresh and spicy and flavoursome. The service was friendly and thoughtful and the food came out super fast. Thankyou so much we will be back!!

Despite it being a very small restaurant, the family who run the place are so welcoming and nice. The food is also amazing and possibly one of the best Pad Thai’s I have ever had! Would drop by next time I hit up Traralgon,

Thanks for the BEST gluten free Thai meal ever. The red curry with beef and mixed vegetables with ginger, it was superb. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys good Thai cuisine.

We ate at Zaab Zaab for dinner over Easter. Lucky we made a booking as the place is tiny and it was busy. We loved it, and will definitely eat there again next time we are in Traralgon. The best Thai food we have had in a long time! The man serving was fantastic. He was friendly, funny, very polite and although he kept apologising for slow service, we actually thought service was quick considering he was the only person serving and it was full. I didn't feel that we waited too long at all. Service was 5 stars!

We had the Red Thai Curry with chicken (full of flavour, chicken was tender and I can honestly say this is the best Red Thai Curry I have eaten). We also ordered the crispy pork belly. At first it came out full of onion (I ordered no onion), but when we did get it the second time, I was glad we waited for it. The pork was crispy and delicious, and not just full of fat like you get in a lot of places. Entrees we had the tofu (I didn't really enjoy this. The tofu was cut too large and just tasted like it was deep fried and nothing else), and the prawn spring rolls, which were crispy and tasty. We finished with dessert (banana dumpling and egg custard). They were both nice, but I made the mistake of not ordering the coconut ice cream with the egg custard (I had mango which was nice, but didn't go with it so well. The coconut was amazing!)

The atmosphere wasn't the best. It was very small and cramped and very noisy. We had to shout to hear each other over a large table nearby. The toilets were also not the nicest. I would reconsider using those again. Overall, a great meal and fantastic service. Thank you Zaab Zaab!

Busy Thai Cafe that has a small amount of seat and is always full.
Friendly service and the owner was kind enough to make one of the recommend dish from main to an entree size which was the mined pork with garlic and chilli sauce. Tomyum is quite spicy and rich. Drinks are decent.

A small hole in the wall serving simple but delicious Thai fare. Service was quick and friendly, food reasonably priced and not suffering from the usual sickly sweet Thai flavours commonly found. A hidden gem

I came here with my wife and my two kids. The owner (I think he is the owner) is very very friendly. He understands how hard it is to go out eating with kids. So he gave our kids some snacks (spring rolls to be exact) while waiting for the food to come. The food itself is also nice. We ordered pad Thai and whole barramundi. Generous amount of prawns. The pad Thai is to my liking (although it is tad too sweet for my wife). The barramundi is quite spicy. But both me and my wife can handle it fine. Anyway, highly recommended ! I wish I know this place sooner. We are about to relocate soon, and this place will be quite quite far away for us.

Good foods and great services. This place offer me a real Thai cuisine flavor that as same as I had in Thailand. I always had take away from this place when need Thai foods.

This is the best Thai food I have had in Australia. We had a variety of dishes including red and green curry, vegetable satay and green pepper prawns and each was delicious. I only wish they would move to Melbourne!

This is by far the best Thai restaurant in Gippsland. Have been coming here since it's opened. It might be small in size but it delivers in quality food. Tasty, tender, generous and most importantly authentic Thai food. I wish they would re-locate to Melbourne.
My favourites are Green & Penang curries, Pad Thai and Pad Cha. I have eaten in Thailand many times and this is as good as it gets. You won't be disappointed. .

We were a group of 14 at the restaurant. The restaurant is very small but everyone can sat comfortably. Food nice but not overly tasty. It was also reasonably priced. Staff very attentive.

Great food & friendly host/owner. Love those little restaurants that you go to for the food rather than flash decor. Real Thai food. 10/10. Recommended 110%
