A little know gem in Traralgon, Bistro Grata works hard to bring fresh, seasonal local produce to you for a great price.
The head chef has a sustainable and enlightening philosophy towards his menu and it blends into delightful dishes that change with the season, just as our food and produce does.
Eating here gives a wonderful example of amazing Gippsland and Australian produce. They stock great craft beers and alcohols from within Gippsland.
Comfortable and spacious the venue is non-pretentious and the staff are knowledgeable and approachable.
Awesome food, great chef. Highly recommended
Lovely seafood sauce, 300 gram rump. Nice locally brewed wheat beer to go with meal. Lovely side of fresh veggies. Very polite service. Will need to try there spirits (gin, whiskey) next time.
Great food! The staff were wonderful at helping me to choose a wine to go with my meal - I am new to wines. It was a local Gippsland wine and I really enjoyed it.
The prices are similar to the Bowls Club but the food is top quality and cooked with obvious passion. My friend had a steak and he said it was the best he's had, and that's saying something! He also had a suggested craft beer (also a local Gippsland brew) and it went down well.
Worth coming back to that's for sure.
Clean environment, table cloths and smart looking staff in uniform, helpful and friendly.
Delicious food prepared with great care. Small menu so that produce is fresh and top quality. Nothing was too much effort. Thanks for a lovely experience
Quite pleasant - damper was exceptional. Would be good to have The Age Epicure article available for patrons to read. Staff could make more of the chef's reputation and the emphasis on local produce.
Great restaurant. Every mouthful was amazing. So much flavour. Staff very attentive. A hidden gem in Traralgon
Highly recommend.
