Smashed avo on sour dough bread with grilled tomato & haloumi is definitely keeping me from purchasing a new house. Coffee's good too. Shoutout to my millennial's

This is a great place with an awesome feel and great staff. Please guys, if you go there accept the give and take. Please don't sit on a coffee for hours while you work or study. Be generous and buy stuff, or at least move on if the place is full and you're keeping someone out of a table.

This place has the best music!

Replay Espresso has been iconic in North Shore cafes for a long time. Similarly, owner Grant Andronicus’ pedigree in coffee is formidable; Andronicus has been the pre-eminent coffee family in Australia for more than a century.

This morning I ordered the doppio for myself and the hot milkshake (large caramel skim cap) for the wife. Luckily, the wife’s skim cap was extra hot, because on the way home, I had to fire up the hazard lights and pull the vehicle over to the side of the road to finish my double espresso. I was that overwhelmed by the Replay Espresso single origin.

The aroma hit first, it was inviting and esoteric, with the unmistakable scent of fresh cigar smoke in a study lined with leather-bound books and the mounted heads of exotic animals. And something else swirling beneath, undercurrents of a deeply familiar cologne, as if the help had left the study window open, and two suburbs away someone was smoking pork belly over hickory in the early afternoon, and the combined fragrance now drifted into the study and swirled into the plumes of cigar smoke.

The viscous mouthfeel drifted back and forth between silk and satin, deeply chimerical yet grounded, obesely plump yet syrupy, a tribute if you will to the substance one would extract from the rind of a dwarf Seville orange. Many years ago on a drive across Death Valley, I stopped in the scorching midday heat to scoop a mouthful of fresh molasses as it slowly oozed down the side of a Joshua Tree. This is the mouthfeel of Replay espresso.

The structure was complex and disorienting, like the Gruen transfer when entering Macquarie Shopping Centre, leaving you feeling lost of course, but happy and compliant. The flavours were nuanced and layered, animated by a lively duel between frankincense and ambergris, softened by the unmistakably bright and refreshing fruitiness of an African Horned Cucumber. As bright and refreshing as a cool IPA on the back of a friends boat - you don’t have to worry about driving or docking, you just have to kick back and enjoy that ale.

The shifting, layered intrigue in the cup carried deep into the long, resonant finish, with an umami hit that harkened back to maple-cured bacon. Then the finish rolled on into freshly cut cedar, before settling on gently scorched almond wood. I have to point out that the finish was exceptionally long, seemed as if it would outlast religion, until like Keyser Soze… poof, it was gone. Then, I was finally able to restart my vehicle and drive home.

This coffee didn’t just wake me, I learnt something, I'm smarter now. I am woke. Replay is the Modafinil of cafes. 10 out of 10, highly recommend.

Friendly little local cafe, everything is super cosy and I can tell a lot of love goes into my daily morning coffee. The staff, especially the managers Manny and Grant are always so friendly and great leaders to their lovely team. This place never disappoints!

The rating for the location and coffee. The location is excellent just a few steps from the train station, I would just come here because it is convenient. The barista obviously knew what he/she is doing because the coffee was smooth and beans are caramelised at a level. The breakfast menu was a disappointment though, too oily and too much flavours that spoil the coffee.

Great little coffee shop close to the station. Good Gabriel coffee. There is a small menu but it is tasty. The bacon and egg toasty is a bit expensive but worth the buy.

I always slip in nicely to this wonderful cafe and experience the open-arms of the owner and his pleasant staff.
Replay is like an old pair of shoes, you know you'll always fit in nicely and never want to get rid of them.

Keep it up!! (If you can!)

Food and drinks:
I absolutely loved everything about their old acai bowl! It's surprisingly really filling and a delicious choice! Sweet but healthy, it's a real guilt-free delicious option which is great for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or just a snack. Also, this is one of the few cafes on the upper north shore that serve acai bowls so it's a great find if you're looking for a local place. I've come back here twice just for this bowl so it should tell you something. However, they've recently added a new recipe that I'm not as huge a fan of but maybe that's just because I hate passionfruit haha. Their chai lattes and bacon and egg on sourdough toast breakfast are also delicious.

Transport:
It's just by Turramurra station and extremely easy to get to.

Would definitely recommend! I'm actually came back here this week during my exam period when I should've been studying because I was craving an acai bowl so much!

Tucked away around the corner from the highway in suburbia Turramurra is the quaint, quirky and somewhat hidden Replay Espresso. It's cosy but uses its space well and focusses on good coffee, a selection of tasty looking cakes and pastries on display at the counter and a range of hot cooked meals from the menu.

We tried Replay Espresso for breakfast this morning. We'd heard very good thing about the coffee and the breakfast so off we went. I was actually quite surprised to find this hidden gem on the North Shore. The North Shore very well-known for it's spread of dining options, but its safe to say we will definitely be back.

We ordered two coffees, the breakfast BLT and two açai bowls. They were very accommodating with gluten free options which is exactly what I look for when dining out. The coffees were brought out promptly, but unfortunately the food was not brought out at the same time, which meant that by the time the açai bowls were brought out, my brother had already finished his BLT. This was a little disappointing but we weren't too concerned.

The only other complaint was about the table service. We were told to sit anywhere we could fit, which was fine. But then our table was not cleared of the cups and bottles left over from the previous customers, which was quite annoying. Every server also seemed to overlook these which was frustrating.

Despite this service, the food was very nice, the coffee was lovely and we will most certainly be back to try something different on the menu!

Great cafe! Great menu with many healthy options. Open so early and also very late. It is a little cramped which is understandable with location but makes it hard to dine out with the whole family. Super hot spot!

Great little corner coffee shop, funky interior, great atmosphere. Flat white was well balanced, albeit a single shot, it was not too milky, coffee good tasting, beans from El Salvador on the day. Would definitely recommend to others.

This place is very pleasant with good customer service. There is a nice assortment pastries and the all day breakfast style menu is a winner for me. The Coffee is Gabriel which is pleasant with milk and its actually refreshing that a cafe like this exists in the leafy quiet corner shops of Turramurra.

You could search and search the North Shore for a great coffee (I have!) and this place has it!! They lose a point because they are $4.50....but I guess you pay for quality.

The coffee is good - maybe a touch hotter would be ideal for me. The breakfast is substantial and delicious. Sitting inside with the sun streaming in is a great way to relax on the weekend - or brave the cool in winter and sit outside!

Great coffee and sweets at Replay Turramurra Coffee. It’s packed so come in early to get a seat at the cosy tables inside. Want your coffee to taste like coffee and not watered down with too much milk, or burned? You came to the right place, the coffee is tasty with strong flavours yet easy to drink, inviting you for more. Try some of the nice and healthy food treats like bircher or the fresh sandwiches and quiches. Did I say it’s packed? Great atmosphere for a Saturday morning stroll to local shops. Highly recommended.
