Review Scales Seafood - Tweed Heads

Reasonable price. Fresh all products. Many local people come and grab fresh fish. Or you can choose fish you like, shop will cook for you. Here is very popular place, so you need to wait long line. But don't worry local people are all friendly. You can talk with them while waiting your fish.

Pretty popular little seafood shop. They have fresh seafood that you can weigh up yourself so you know the price before you buy it. You can choose from the fresh section and ask them to cook it for you. They also sell cooked food with the usual fish and chips ,calamari, Chiko and spring rolls. Nice oysters and bugs. . They have a couple of tables and chairs out the front and a park on the river across the road. Parking can be a bit of a problem if they are busy as they are on a busy road. You will be able to judge just by driving past. Worth a try if your in the area and want some fish and chips or fresh seafood.

Bought fish and chips from here and have always been very happy with what we have received in the past. This time, the fish was very tasty and well cooked, however the chips were not cooked well and not up to their usual standard. Slightly disappointed

The most delicious peices of fish, hot and fresh with light, fluffy, crunchy batter. A single seafood basket was enough for my partner and I!! Hit the spot sitting by the water , and even got some fresh fish and prawns to take home for lunch the next day!

Loved the food here. Super fresh prawns and Dory fish for a late lunch early dinner...huge range to choose from. Definitely the best place l've come across...

We got ourselves a lovely lunch here. The staff were friendly and patient while I worked out what I wanted. There was a great selection of seafood battered, crumbed or grilled. One half of the shop has a variety of fish fillets, whole fish, mud crab and other crustaceans available for purchase. The really good part of going here is that there is a park along the river across the road and it has plenty of tables and seats so you can enjoy your seafood with a view. Cheers UPDATE We dropped in at 1:30 on a Monday and Scales was very busy. The fresh seafood section was packed with people.

Average fish selection much the same as Coles Chose flake to test the waters Very dark crumbs, but OK Calamari was nice and tender, not chewy at all , and the crumbed scallops with roe on were plump and tasty BUT the chips were tasteless and just like empty when you bit into them Front counter staff were pleasant and quick to serve, reasonably priced but DO NOT GET THE CHIPS, (even the seagulls across the road didn't eat them) that's a waste of $10, try the Tasmanian scallops instead.
HIPHOP.
I stop here everytime when i come down from Central Queensland. As they fish is always fresh and i always get it cooked. Always cooked to perfection everytime. Awesome calamari. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place.
