Review The Coffee Club - Tweed Heads

We went to coffee club tweed city and the food and service was disgraceful! I ordered a chicken Caesar salad that came with no chicken, drowning in dressing with a rock hard poached egg. My daughter had rainbow pancakes that were rock hard and inedible. I immediately took her pancakes back and showed the rude girl and she said “I can see that” no apology nothing.. I refused to take it and asked if she could have a bowl of chips and they came out undercooked. We wasted $44😡 NEVER again! They give the coffee club franchise a bad name. I have been to other coffee clubs and the food was lovely. Rudest staff awful chef! Disgraceful!

I understand that we need patience specially now that we suffering with this pandemic, but the lack of experience from the waitress and chef it’s so obvious. We had to wait around 20 min for the meal. Waitress called the manager because she didn’t know whats is “double shot espresso”. I ordered twice for soft poached eggs and I got rock eggs. Seriously???

All I ordered was 3 croissants takeaway, it took them 20 minutes to realise I was there waiting for them. Then when one of the girls asked are you still waiting on your croissants, she panicked. She then took the 3 that were sitting in the fridge for days and proceeded to pack them for me. I get to the car with my 2 girls waiting for their breakfast, I go to tear it up and my eldest 5 year old said dad these are really bad quality! At that point I took them back in and said you can have your rubbish back! Appalling service (there was 3 girls and chef on at the time) and even worse, food was rubbish! I will never go back!

Does the owner even care? Clueless staff - they don’t even notice the seagulls all over the left over plates. As soon as our meals came I could smell the old oil everything was cooked in. Club sandwich for $20 was 3 thick slices of bread with very little filling. Bacon was bacon bits and a few small thin slices of chicken.. I could go on. What a shame. What a waste of money - we spent $100 for 4 bad meals with coffee

Not a bad feed and coffees were good with another business under strain from staff shortages.

Between me and my partners breakfast all 3 poached eggs where way over cooked to the point of being light yellow n dry. The cook should of been ashamed to put them on a plate.

Worst poached eggs ive ever been served :( drinks served well after meals finished, chunks of shell in every bite of my eggs & still soaking with the water they were cooked in

I find all the coffee club franchises to be more or less the same. I've only been here because it's close to my workplace. I order the same thing every time and it s always nice. It's a tad overpriced so I try not to go in too often. A pretty standard place and nothing special.

Terrible terrible service... a joke!. Seriously bad. No staff looked older than 19. I dont think they have been trained at all in what customer service looks like. A waiter cleared a table so myself and my mother sat at it assuming she was coming back to wipe away the excess food. She did t. We waited 5 minutes and asked her to wipe it down she came back instead of wiping towards herself amd wiped sideways didnt catch the food but allowed all the chunks of food to go all over my mother and i. I looked at her shocked and thanks for that in an disgusted tone she didnt make eye contact and kept walking. Another table were watching and began to laugh in disbelief. We ordered a white tea among other things we had to wait 15 minutes for the milk after the tea arrived. We tried to get waiters attention and said excuse me 4 times as the waiter was standing a metre away she wasnt attentive at all and was not really paying attention to anyone. Again the other table laughed at more terrible service. Even after asking it still took another 8 minutes for thr milk. By this stage the tea was getting cold. The service is a joke they honestly have no idea. Whole thing was disappointing staff need training.

A last minute decision. 4.25pm. Walking through Tweed City with my daughter who is a special person. She points to The Coffee Club and
says "cuppee Dad" so in we went.
The experience has moved me to write this unsolicited review.
The reception I and my daughter received at the counter from the young lady was genuinely warm and gracious. The service was excellent and delivered with a smile and polite conversation that made me feel glad.
I think that they may have been packing up for the day but we didn't seem to be an inconvenience .
My understanding of a good business, inter alia, is that it has to have the elements of attractive premises, good products, professional presentation and a service provided by competent and caring staff.
Well, Coffee Club Tweed City, take a bow, as far as I'm concerned, you tick all the boxes!!
Will I come back regularly? You Betcha!!!
