The meal at Arya was delicious and the service was excellent I would highly recommend this restaurant and will go again, I consider myself a bit of a foody and this restaurant besides good food I'd recommended for reasonable prices and great service.
When a place has been around for as long as they have, you know they must be doing something right. The curries here are delicious. The garlic naan is 👌 but I think it must be the type of flour they use, it gave me the worst stomache ache. Apart from that the the rice and curries are great.
Food was amazing and the layout was very nice indeed. Ive been there a few times and will always recommend it to friends.

I absolutely love authe tic indian food and Arya hit the spot. On a freezing cold Adelaide night, a friend and I were lucky to get the last table at Arya. It was very attentive service throughout our entire menu, and they explained everything in rich detail about what we ordered. Especially considering I do not tolerate spicy food so well. It was ambient and warm, amd they kept our drinks well topped, we ordered a butter chicken and a fish curry and both were absolutely delcious, soaked with onion bhaji and Garlic Naan. We absolutely loved it, and will return again. It was fine Indian dining at its best.
It's hard to find proper South Indian cuisine in Adelaide CBD ... Arya is probably the closest one you would get. They've got a mix of North and South Indian cuisines. Fortunately for the chilli lovers out there, if requested they can make your dish as spicy as you'd like it to be. My favourites are the eggplant masala, fish curry and chicken vindaloo.
Went here with my friends a few weeks ago the service was great and the food was to die for, the best Indian iv ever had. 10/10 also very good value for money.
Best place I ever saw in Adelaide and experienced tastiest Indian food with excellent standard of service.
Lamb shanks are amazing paired with Yalumba wines.

If I have to spend my money on Indian food in Adelaide it would be at Arya..the food that Chef Padma and the crisp naans that chef Baljeet dish out are to die for.. The food presentation is great, fresh and great portioning.. A good wine list to compliment the food as well.. Will keep coming back..

What can Kerrlinne say at About Arya that hasn't been said before by kerrilinne??? The mint dip that might be chutney but probs isn't has changed the recipe. Pale Ale was so good but Yalumba $68 not today missy. Service is amazing and I love my Indian flavvoes.vege platter great choice 3 curries and bread and naan and rice but I don't like rice because I'm gluten free so my friend ate it. Another friend who eats meat (why are we friends haha kidding with him haha) ate Chicken chilli not curry he doesn't know if he'll get it again. I got korma and Dahl both great. Service is 10 will return good price see you in 2 days hehehlolomhrlp. Salt lassi on try list. Reminds me of gasebah.
Second time back and did not disappoint. We had the "feast 1" for two which included samosas, lamb sheesh kebab and tandoori chicken with accompaniments. I've eaten a few samosa in my time and this is up there with the best. For mains we got a vegetable korma, lamb rogan josh (we asked to substitute a Rogan Josh for the lamb madras that the feast normally comes with - this was totally fine by the staff), a butter chicken and garlic AND plain naan as well as raita, steamed rice and mango chutney. Oh and did I mention a glass of white wine each (they ran out of Chardonnay so we had a delicious Eden Valley Riesling instead at no extra cost) all for $35 each. If that isn't good value I'm not sure what is. To top it off the wait staff were extremely attentive and very pleasant. We'll definitely be back again and again.
Pleasant atmosphere, friendly & attentive staff, great flavours. As we don't eat meat, we took advantage of the extensive vegetarian menu. We ordered a great cross-section of well-priced dishes with highlights being fantastic samosas, a spicy eggplant masala and delicious jalfrezi. The only thing that marred the meal was that everything was extremely oily. We brought some home and it was swimming in the takeaway container. Still, an enjoyable experience.
The food won't disappoint. Especially the potato balls in the almond curry on the last page. I persuade someone to get this every time (so I can eat one :P ) Reasonably priced, friendly service. Best Indian I have found in Adelaide so far.

Intimate, relaxed, professional, quiet. This would have to be my favourite place to eat Indian in Adelaide. You'll need to book a few days out because it's popular even though it's a little hidden. Entrance via a doorway off O'Connell st. you have a welcoming staircase to follow before reaching a landing whereby you're greeted with friendly smiles and positive demeanour from staff. Good start.Â
Providing there are no kids, dining is always more pleasurable this way, you'll be seated in a quiet little restaurant of all things nice. Food service has been hit and miss throughout the times I've been there, but no biggie because I know I always walked out stuffed with a bag of takeaway my eyes convinced my stomach would be JUST enough.
Well, unless you're like the Indian friends of mine who have mothers to cook the best Indian, I recommend this place, good for a date or with a mate. Anything larger than that, give them time, book. Big ups, going back soon :)
Oh... and Vindaloo. IS HOT - loved it!

I have eaten here many times. The food is beautiful and well presented. Staff very courteous and friendly. I think it is the best Indian cuisine in Adelaide and I have eaten at lots of Indian restaurants in this city. I hope everyone supports it.
Excellent place for a Sunday Curry. Not sure what all the fuss is about. The restaurant is situated on the second floor with good ambiance created with the open views fringed with green leafed trees. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Good wine list with plenty of options. Waddle home happy and full we did.
They catered the grand opening of a medical clinic. Enjoyed their food so much I had to try it in their restaurant. My yardstick for good Indian is butter chicken. Get it wrong & how can you cook any other type of Indian food? They are in my top 5 butter chickens! (had to go to Singapore for number 2 on my list). All of their dishes were delicious & authentic. Generous serving sizes. Pretty good value. Happy to recommend this place :) & will eat there again
I always come back to this place.. I have eaten here many times and never been disappointed with the food or service. All the staff are always friendly and service is high. The standout last visit was the lamb shanks.

Good Indian restaurants are few and far between in Australia. This is one of the good ones. An extensive menu, good portions and presentation. Only criticism is food served on to cold plates.
Above expectation. First time dining here after hearing about it's good reviews. Delicious Indian food at a reasonable price for the level of dining experience. Service was variable. We were ignored for the first 2 minutes when we arrived and so stood at the door waiting for seats. Once we were seated, the waiters were more attentive and friendly. I didn't appreciate however their concept of an 'open kitchen' as it seemed to take away points from an overall beautifully set dining environment.

I travel a lot in Oz and enjoy Indian food. Arya has set the bar in terms of service, 'feel', and superb quality food. I've never had better.
I've dined here twice now over a span of 5 years and have found the cuisine to be top quality with top service to match. The desserts are a must try (we had the mango kulfi home made icecream & gulab jamun - delicious!! Will definitely be back many times!

A friend told me about Arya and how good the food was. Some months later,a few of my colleagues spoke about Arya at our meeting.i thought ill give it a go with my family. True enough what I heard was true. Their food and service is pretty good. My family and I have tried a few Indian restaurants in Adelaide but Arya had to be the best in food and service.
Yummy. I'm a bit inexperienced with Indian food, so luckily our foodie friend did all the ordering. Everything was delicious - a lightly fried shrimp starter almost derailed me from trying anything else as I just wanted more of them! Highly recommend.
Good Indian food but i cant assure their consistency of the quality thou. But if you are lucky, you can have an awesome time here.. best of luck guys :)
Best Indian in Adelaide!. We just stopped past here some time ago, didn't have a reservation, they were wonderful and said they would fit us in. We went back to the Oxford a for a couple of drinks and then came back and were seated straight away.
Our table had a party of 4 and we all ordered something different, everything arrived hot and on time.
Fresh Naans and Rice were perfect and the Chicken and Seafood were the best of an Indian restaurant I have tried.
Yum! Naan was the best! Our table of five agreed the best dish was the palek paneer (a big call from two meat-loving men who laughed when this dish was ordered). Very good value when using Entertainment Card. Definitely will be back.

Good service and food- try it !. I am pleased with the service here. This is my second favourite South Indian restuarnt in Adelaide, the first being Cafe Chennai. I like the atmosphere also. Again, the service is too good. Really impressed with the staff's memorising skill of the orders. But i could not find the consistency in the taste of the food for the three times I went. The first time it was amazing, I am bit disappointed with the second time but the third time was good :) All the best and Thank you

Absolute favourite!!. The curry at Arya is the most exceptional curry I have ever eaten, and I've been to India and eaten A LOT of curry in my time. Their home made paneer is perfection, particularly in the palak spinach sauce, and the breads light and fluffy and to die for.
The service is second to none. They remember my name, my favourite dish, and most of all my favourite wine, once telling me that upon seeing my booking realised they were out of Momo Sauv Blanc and went out to get it from the bottlo.
Excellent value too, would expect to pay far more for the standard of the food, the location, and the fine dining service.
I do get a touch narky when I'm charged for takeaway containers though, sometimes it's just a dollar, another time it was eight as there was someone new on the till and I wasn't given a reprieve. Having said that, I'd pay it regardless because I love it so.
I go there at the very least monthly and every time is an absolute pleasure.
Good for a group. Great to take lots of people here. Try the buffet on the weekend as the dosas are divine. Gluten free is well catered for too.

We always loved this place. One of the best Indian restaurant in Adelaide. Food is simply superb and the service and hospitaly is excellent. We had a party and used the hall and hall was very good for the large group.

Modern setting in the restaurant, meals served on modern plates and bowls etc, quite nice. Friendly wait staff, most importantly the food was excellent! If you always have the same dish when you eat at an Indian restaurant, do yourself a favour and order their Chettinad, you’re welcome.

Best Indian food and excellent service!! I have been looking for a good Indian restaurant and I finally found it. Must try their chili cheese garlic naan which I have never had at any other Indian restaurant, my absolute favorite. My other favorites are samosas, chicken biryani, butter chicken and malai kofta!! If you are in town definitely try Arya, you will not be disappointed!!
We have visited the North Adelaide restaurant many times and enjoyed every meal. The Unley restaurant is just as good. The food was spectacular The staff were great and the bill was very reasonable. I would recommend to anyone. 10/10 Well done.
We had dinner here last night arriving on a whim, were welcomed with a friendly face and found it just perfect. Service was friendly and attentive and the food was plentiful and delicious. Restaurant was stylish and clean, dishes were spiced as requested, meat was beautifully tender and we were so happy with everything, especially after recent experience with another restaurant. Would absolutely recommend and would return again.
