Amazing burgers - Aussie and cheese. Great friendly co-vid safe dine in experience- Thank you
The cafe asked customers to write down all their personal details and the list is easily available. Wondering how are you going to deal with all these information?
Had take away coffee here this morning, coffee was so so. Service was quick and polite staff. It was little pricey for a franchise coffee, it the job but nothung special.
After lunch at Garden City’s Food Court we need a strong coffee and Cherry Beans is around the corner. Waiting in line we admire a humongous slice of Rainbow Layer Cake but we are just too full, even for cake!
Our triple shot Cappuccino arrives after a long wait. It is a good strong coffee and we enjoy this hot beverage. Thanks guys!

Came here for breakfast because I noticed that they had a breakfast platter. Ordered the “Cherry Beans Platter” to share between two. For drinks, ordered the “Mixed Berry Smoothie” and Cappuccino.
Food:
This is by far my favourite breakfast platter I’ve had yet! This platter had eggs, hasbrowns, bacon, chips, haloumi, salmon, yoghurt, ham, salad and toasted bread. Compared to other platters, I have found that this one has good flavours and the food is more fresh and all the flavours work really well together. With other platters I would find that either, the bread is too dry, the haloumi cheese is too rubbery and oily or the bacon is way too salty that ruins the taste overall. This platter had so many elements, my favourite was the yoghurt (tasted like Greek yoghurt), the hash browns, the salmon, chips and the bread (still soft and a bit crispy on the crust). I especially like that you can choose how you want your eggs cooked (usually it’s always poached eggs) and choose what type of bread you want (multigrain or white). This is a great idea as everyone has different preferences and it adds more value to the platter as you can choose how you personally like it to your own taste or preference. It is also another great idea that they offer butter, honey and jam as well!
Drinks:
The cappuccino was quite average, not too bland but I added a tiny bit of sugar. The mixed berry smoothie was quite disappointing! Usually I would love to have a mixed berry juice first thing in the morning but with this smoothie, they added way too much milk that it diluted the berry taste. Usually mixed berry is not strong in taste so with milk, I could hardly taste it (it just tasted like a plain yoghurt with a hint of berry).
Price:
I was attracted to the platter because it was only $35.90 (platter for 2 people) which is the cheapest I’ve seen (usually they are around $45). It was definitely worth the money (recommend to try!!!). The cappuccino was slightly cheaper at $4 but the mixed berry smoothie ($6 for small size) was not worth the price!
Ambiance:
This place is usually busy so it was a lively atmosphere. Nice open area where you can see shoppers walk by. The food came quite fast and the staff were very friendly. I like that they have a station where you can help yourself to water, small packets of butter, jam or honey, napkins and cutlery. Definitely will come back! 😊
Staff and service always fabulous. Had the “eggs in hell” this afternoon and it was outstanding! Love every visit to this place. Always a surprise to find a gem like this within a Westfield! It’s worth a visit for everything from a cuppa to a full lunch.
On a cold and wet day, decided to visit in doors cafe, cherry beans was the choice, busy cafe it was. Usually trying to find a big breakfast as always and this one did not disappoint. Big serving for under $20 along with a good latte. Offered with a choice of breads, went turkish.
Meals came out at a decent time, cooked to my liking especially the bacon, hate it when it is cooked to a biscuit.
Go back? Yeah another to visit when shopping here at garden city
Great little cafe just a short stroll from the insanity of the food court.
The service here is always good, they do a good coffee. And I am fan of their cafe meals, meals are typical: salads, melts, burgers and sandwiches.
The chicken club with chips is a great choice for lunch, I very much appreciate the little bowl of tomato sauce it comes with, plus there are free additional condiments available for diners too. My dining partner's meal was a bit charred and her chip serve was a little on the stingy side but they are usually a decent size serve. I would have lowered the score if I was eating her meal. My club was super yum although the third piece of white bread got tossed and was not missed.
They weren't kidding when they say "Ultimate Big Breakfast" - at just shy of $18 there is so much food on the huge plate the sides have to be curved to keep it all in! Usually I put in a pretty decent effort when it comes to "Big Breakfast"s and nearly always eat everything bar a couple of mouthfuls or a slice of toast but I got to 2/3 of my plate when I was starving and now I'm going to have to be rolled out of here. Very fresh and satisfying, great taste and doesn't try and be unecessarily fancy. Has all the big breakky favourites with delicious and fresh ingredients. Oh and their chai lattes are made with powder. Will definitely be coming back!
Excellent ristretto shot and smoked salmon smashed avocado on toast. Good customer service though the service was slow. The ambience was good though the tables were placed too close to each other, giving a clustered feeling.
Nice cafe with lovely big tea pots! It's always nice to get a bucket of tea rather than a thimble! A nice selection of cakes and more substantial food was available too - I had the coffee cake and enjoyed it.
Cute little place to stop for breakfast. The waffles were tasty and very nicely presented. The flat white I ordered came out lukewarm and a little flat. Good place to stop before you start your shopping spree.
Surprisingly good. We've walked by Caffè Cherry Beans whilst shopping at Westfield Garden City on numerous occasions. Decided to get something to eat and took a chance. The food and coffee was nice and came out promptly. For the hot chocolate fans, they use Belgium chocolate and it tastes amazing ☺
Stopped here for breakfast today during our early Christmas shopping. They were busy with all tables outside full which was a good sign. My partner and I were able to grab a small table inside against the wall. Drinks were quick to come out, coffee was good and OJ was freshly squeezed. Food was decent; I ordered the eggs benedict (my eggs were nice and runny) and my partner ordered the Big Breakfast. Service was friendly enough. My only complaint would be that we were asked to move tables as they had to access storage in the wall (why put a table there then?) although they did ask us nicely. The EFTPOS machine had difficulty getting a signal (this is out of their control as I've noticed my phone always says SOS on the lower level) - however the worker stepped outside the store and waved the machine around with our credit card sticking out! Other than that, would come back again to try their lunch menu.
First visit. I had the Aussie burger with chips, and an iced coffee. The burger was a generous portion, light toasted sesame seed bun, very tasty. Chips were fresh, hot and crispy. Iced coffee was terrific - espresso was strong but not bitter, drink was not too sweet. I would eat here again.
Caffe Cherry Beans - Upper Mount Gravatt, Brisbane. Caffe Cherry Beans roast their own coffee, in fact, they are essentially a chain from around Australia. Originally, the coffee was sourced from and brewed in Sydney's Darling Harbour and it has grown within the state to many locations including the enclave of the capital region. Only recently has it managed to travel north to the neighbouring state with several planned to open plus one in South Korea if their website is to be believed. For what it is worth, the coffee is decent and pretty strong. If you are familiar - even just vaguely - with the cafes often found at malls, this more or less serves similar fare as usual.
Before some grocery shopping, my dining buddy and I saw an opportunity to get a coffee beforehand (and since it was in the morning, a spot of breakfast). This was one of the new places - especially the ones for coffee - in Garden City, and it looked good enough. It is fairly plain in looks, and has no walls from the outside mall area. The feel is relaxing, and it would be a good place to go during the middle of a shopping venture (or to hang out while other's go and shop, am I right guys?).
Since he had not eaten during the morning, my dining buddy more or less went for something to eat. Trying to go simple and focus on his health, his choice was a chocolate muffin. I had a bit (we share) and it was good, a modest amount of chocolate in a cake-like, moist texture.
The coffee here is not bad. To get a kick out of the espresso, a double shot is more or less a must - there is big degree of difference between the two. It had a good texture with the creamy milk, a smooth consistency between the foam, espresso and milk and a decent enough taste. For what it is worth, those who do not like their coffee too strong would like this place; I am certainly one to have it really strong where I can. Objectively though, it is still good quality and well made.
It took me a little longer to decide what to have, lingering at all the options on the menu for what could be a substantial meal in itself. After a while, I got drawn to the Belgian fruit waffle - This was really well presented and had quite some colour to it. The waffle part of it was a generous square, and it was served with sliced strawberries, one whole banana chopped into slices hugging the edge of the plate and waffle, a scoop of cold vanilla ice cream, and a small pot melted Belgian chocolate with various bits of melted chocolate already around the waffle. From a presentation point of view, this dish already had merits. From a taste and quality point of view, it was pretty darn nice. Pouring the melted chocolate over the ice cream, the chocolate solidified quickly coating the ice cream. The waffle was well cooked, with the fluffy inside encased with just a bit of crust on the outside. On top, the ice cream was really creamy, and dripped into the holes of the waffle plus all the fruit was fresh produce. A well-made, and properly balanced meal
Look, there is the stigma surrounding cafes in the mall which is hard to shake off. Often they do serve up the standard fare, which given the right amount of care can actually be half decent. When they become complacent, then it is not worth the time; at Caffe Cherry Beans the service is pretty good and the quality of the food is wholesome and filling. Therefore, it is a step up from many of the familiar names that pepper the suburban malls.
As a Sydneysider, it’s nice to see this franchise up here in Brisbane at Westfield Garden City. I’ve been here a couple of times and it’s a nice place to rest a bit and close to places I frequent like Eight Street, Daiso and Sunlit Asian Grocery.
My go to beverage is the Green Tea Latte, and I do like theirs. I’m not sure what it is, but it has a nice cinnamony / gingery zing to it. It’s got some nice menu items too like Belgian Waffles; one day I’d love to come back and try.
