San Churro recently launched their new home delivery service with a promotional offer of free delivery. We tested the service with an order of the lil loopy snack pack: $17 for 6 loopy churros in your choice of coatings. This is $1 more than getting a 6 pack of regular shaped (straight) churros, though you get more coating options with the loopys.
We chose a mixture of the following options:
* plain - dusted with cinnamon sugar
* choco nut - chocolate doughnut glaze + chopped peanuts
* unicorn - chocolate doughnut glaze + 100s and 1000s
* kooky butter - cookie butter & lotus biscuit crumb
There’s also an ‘over the rainbow’ one that we didn’t choose, which looks to be chocolate doughnut glaze + M&Ms. The snack pack comes with a choice of one dip, and we had the milk chocolate. I found the choco nut to be a bit too sweet for my tastes, and whilst the plain one is always a good option for this reason, my favourite was actually the kooky butter flavour.
Is it just like Alice in Wonderland? This espresso just became a Spanish latte by adding condensed milk!

🏞 it was nice just to sit for a while and enjoy the fun decor
It has been six months since our last visit so it is time for an updated review. Phuong Tran decides on a double shot Cappuccino. No desserts here today as she prefers the sweet treats at Le Bon Choix.
Our pretty Cappuccino topped with chocolate flakes arrives within minutes. With a generous sprinkling of chocolate flakes, our Cappuccino almost tastes like a Mocha.
Came here to get a friend’s birthday treats aka churros for two. The place was spacious and had great decor, so it was a nice place to hang out. The churros came quite fast and they were pretty good. The churros themselves had crispy texture and were little bit bland in taste. Totally love the dipping sauce, salted caramel and dark chocolate. Both sauces had great taste but not overwhelming. The service was friendly and nice, since they allow us to borrow knife for cutting my friend’s birthday cake :) Would love to come here again!
Excellent and fast service. Their lines were massive yet they managed to service and have our treats on the table very fast. Their churros are so fresh and super crunchy. The chocolate sauce was finger licking good. We got the mini cup for our lil ones 6th birthday. She loved it.
Churros were 5/5 warm, crispy from outside and moist from the inside nicely seasoned with sugar and cinnamon. To die for!
but the dips can be a hit and miss. The cookie butter was the best out of all the dips we tried
When places start offering more vegan options, I feel like it's my duty as a fellow vegan to help support them. So I'm even more chuffed that a huge percentage of the menu is vegan friendly, and clearly marked as such. I can't ever go past the churros for two, with dark chocolate and cookie dough dipping sauces. This is enough for two small children and myself - the dips are quite rich so I definitely get my sweet fix! Service is from the counter and it's never as speedy as I'd like, but the sweet treat is worth the wait!
Visited this branch of San Churro during the promotion week of 'churro week' - donate $2 and receive double the churros. We ordered the churros for one ($9.95) and donated an extra $2 to receive a total of 6 churros and one dipping sauce. The churros arrived within 10 minutes piping hot and smelling delicious. They were covered in plenty of cinnamon sugar which is such an indulgence. The churros were not overcooked - they were crispy on the outside but still doughy on the inside (which is my preference of how I like churros cooked). We ordered the milk chocolate for dipping and even for 6 churros it was enough. Overall our experience was positive; the staff were very friendly, the food quality was great and will definitely be returning to try some other items!
A few of my buddies would know that for the last month or two I've had a long standing churro craving that has gone unsatisfied due to numerous circumstances out of my control. With that in mind, I made firm plans to go to after running some more errands at Garden City the other day. Arriving after a quick dinner, it was still somewhat empty, but perhaps I was a little too early.
My girlfriends and I had dessert at San Churro last night and the place was packed with only a few tables left, but the kitchen was quickly taking out food so we decided to stay. I order the Strawberry Bowl with milk dipping chocolate and my friends ordered a cheesecake and some churros. Most of our food came out rather quickly, apart from the Churros which came out when we had almost finished our food. The strawberries I had where very fresh, tasty and where great with the chocolate; not too sweet after a large dinner.
Chocolatey goodness with a very friendly young waiter. This San Churro never seems to get too busy so orders come out in decent time.
The caramel hot chocolate is to die for, but stir it well first unless you like thick caramel blobs at the end of your drink.
Had the Churros for one with hazelnut chocolate sauce. The serve was generous but I must say they were not the best churros I have ever had. I think the chocolate drinks are their speciality.
Very prompt service and food comes out quickly aftering ordering. The restaurant itself is incredibly noisy and cavernous inside which makes it very uncomfortable for having a chat with friends, especially when they always have overly loud music blaring at you. Sitting outside is definitely quieter, however, there tend to be a fare few smokers out there too for the pub which is next door. Desserts are always amazing! Spanish hot chocolate isn't much to rave home about but definitely get the funnel cakes! Absolutely worth every cent and have been getting them ever since they came out. Their signature churros are very delicious too! Fondue platter is great value for money and will satisfy your sweet tooth for sure. If you can, get the salted caramel shake. Absolutely to die for and very individual caramel flavour that I haven't tasted anywhere else.
After our dinner we went to San Churro for a drink and a little snack. I ordered English breakfast tea, my partner ordered an iced tea and we got one of each macaroons.
We sat outside (they have a lot of seating of varying sizes) because I find the inside seating area very bright and cold. We only really enjoyed the chocolate and raspberry with the over flavours being underwhelming and almost tasteless but it was nice to try them once.
The quality of the food and the cute decor keep this restaurant pumping most nights. Unfortunately the service is below par but if you like chocolate as much as I do you'll come back again anyway. The churros with chocolate dipping sauce is a great coffee accompaniment and the ice cream is great quality. Book ahead and don't be in a hurry and you'll have a good night.
YUMMMMMM! Love it!!!! Best dessert ever. Always relatively quick and friendly. Food has never disappointed ! Tried a variety of the menu items and all well made and presented. Portion and prices are fantastic.
This place is full of chocolate temptations, if you consider yourself a 'chocolate lover' you will find yourself having difficulty in choosing what to order. I've dine here several occasions and the customer service is sadly below average. Ambience is positive but prices is what you would expect to indulge yourself in, churros are a bit dry inside which is quite a disappointment.
Delish. My daughter got a Free Churros For Ttwo from San Churro, for her birthday. We went to the one in Garden City. It was delicious. The 2 dips (choices of dark, milk, white chocolate and Spanish caramel) were generous and tasty. The churros themselves without the dips are nice and crispy, but with the dips, it creates an altogether different experience. The service was good too, the waiter was polite and friendly. Will certainly come back.
