It says a lot about a place when you CAN'T DECIDE! I didn't know whether to have a lunch dish, or late breakfast... seeing someone else's Eggs Benedict come out of the kitchen made the decision for me. Great portion size. Eggs cooked to the right ooze. Cooked ham or salmon... I hadn't tried ham, and was perfect.
My wife had the Tuna Melt sandwich, and she loved it. I stole some crust of the bread, and even that was great. Multi-grain sourdough jam packed with various seeds.
Next visit I don't know whether to order the Korean Roll, or Risotto, or Stuffed Peppers, or home-made Chicken Pie, or... or...
It's one of those places that has a well rounded menu, plenty for all tastes and diets, and just wish I worked nearby so it could work through each dish for lunches.

I'm a regular visitor with my cycling group and this is one of our favourite cafés in Melbourne. Nothing is too much or too hard. The food is fantastic, the coffee is awesome and the staff are just great!
We recently booked the venue for my sons 18th birthday and again, just a stress free, easy going and painless event. Everything was a breeze and we got nothing but rave reviews from our guests.

Love this place. Great food with a good variety of choice, really friendly service and the best iced coffee I've ever had. Don't let the medical centre put you off as it has a great atmosphere.

Sensational breakfast on Mother's Day! We all loved our breakfasts and my scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection. The rosemary hash was also very tasty. Coffee was great and servings were generous.

What a fantastic gem in the Eastern suburbs. Our family love to visit Javascipt - for the coffee, the food, and the service. The food is always amazing, with very generous servings (we never leave hungry), the coffee is very good, and the staff are knowledgeable, attentive and always happy to offer suggestions. Do yourself a favour and give javascript a go - you won't be disappointed!
Stopped off here for lunch whilst out for a ride, I have only had coffee here in the past, which was excellent. Decided to sit outside as I was a little sweaty, had a very nice calamari dish, which was tasty and well presented. This place is not cheap or overly expensive, $26 for 1coffee and one main, but the quality of the food and coffee is excellent so worth it. Located In the front of a small private medical centre, it is easy to get to with plenty of parking. Well worth a visit, even if only for coffee.
Great cafe - a real standout in the area. By far the best coffee in Vermont South and the food is fantastic Chef/Restaurant quality meals.

I admit it, my heart sank a little when I saw this cafe appeared to be connected to a hospital. In the 'olden says' that would have meant dodgy sandwiches wrapped in glad wrap, a stale biccie from a commercial packet all washed down with dishwater tea.
The reality was quite different. This is a light and airy cafe with big windows, which because it's set high above the road lets diners enjoy lots of light and sky. We were immediately welcomed by a wait person who appeared from around the corner as my dining partner and I wandered in. We were shown the menu and it was explained clearly where to find drinks and food on the menu, along with the screen on the wall featuring specials. I noticed almost immediately the biggest sausage rolls I have ever seen....though we were there for breaky, not lunch. Turning my focus back to the menu, after ordering hot drinks, the selection of dishes looked very tempting, and our desires were sated with everything we enjoyed this day.
Very good Cappuccino and equally pleasing Dirty Chai first off*. Our meals were freshly made, but didn't take long to arrive at all.
Opposite me, the Smash Stack arrived. A poached egg perched atop crispy bacon, smashed avocado, grilled halloumi (a beautiful golden brown), lemon spinach and Turkish bread. Huge meal - finished to the last. My own selection was no less impressive and generous. Now I ask you, how could I not order something titled 'Breakfiesta'? Initially I was concerned as the zucchini and corn fritters were large golden globes, and I feared they would be dense and gluey inside, but no, they were light and flavoursome. The corn puree was not overly sweet, and the lemon roquette was super fresh and a great foil to the rich flavours. The feta was creamy and red pepper salsa complimented it all. It really doesn't need the optional bacon....but you know, it's bacon right? I got the bacon.
I ordered some take-away as well, and the Ham and Cheese Toastie and Flat White with two were ready in no time - I am told both were very, very pleasing.
Don't be put off by the location, there's good food here - gigantic sausage rolls - and very friendly service. Lovely clean space too - shiny not sticky tables.
*I have to say, I do prefer cups with handles you can fit your finger into though.
It's a shame a hidden gem like this cafe doesn't get as much recognition as it should. It's on a dearer end for a cafe but looking at the portion, fresh ingredients (you'll notice this in seafood and veggies), quality food and friendly staff you're getting a lot more than what you pay for! it is really really bad for my wallet!

Kids love the options for them including the generously sized kids pancakes with ice cream and the cheesy pasta which is our son's favourite.
In the short time it's been open we've made it our local and look forward to staying regulars in 2017 and beyond... will just need to slot in amongst the busier times ahead with the medical centre ramping up in the new year.
Such a funny place ! Cafe in Vermont private ! Cafe in hospital normally not that great … but they got a good coffee and food ! Staff are friendly overthere , nice small area ! Fantastic find! This place was recommended by a friend and she wasn't wrong! Lovely food, exceptional customer service, the coffee is good but not great. Wheelchair friendly, pram friendly, kid friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating and parking underneath. Highly recommend!

Came here for the first time this morning with my Dad - I had the raspberry pancakes and he had the breakfast roll. Both meals were large, tasty and presented beautifully. The surroundings were lovely and all staff were very efficient and friendly. Would definitely recommend and go again for breakfast or lunch!
A month in to their new operation, the team at JavaScript Cafe are doing great in part of Vermont where previously the choice was limited to a Bunnings coffee coupled with a fundraising snag. Sure to be packed once the medical suites all populate, locals should make the visit beforehand as they're in full swing.
The location's perfect for those traversing the Dandenong Creek trail, and a short detour off the Eastlink Trail - worth changing the cycling route for.
Sure to be busy once all the medical suites are populated, the licensed cafe saw pairing the sensational lamb burger today with a James Squire American Pale Ale as an excellent choice. Kids were happy with their cheesy pasta and kids pancakes (huge serve). And while my wife's fritters were good, she's a tuna melt fan which she rates highly from her first visit.
Part of a new hospital complex, so parking isn't obvious (at the rear), this geekily named cafe has a lovely ambience, open and well lit by huge windows. Take away coffee was great, and they have almond milk and lactose free milk available. The food selection is delicious - I personally love the Breakfiesta, but I've also tried the freshly made rotis, focaccias and salads and confirm they're top quality, top taste - not the cheapest, but you won't leave hungry. The staff are very lovely, and know me by name now, which is a great touch in a regular cafe. Can heartily recommend JavaScript cafe!

Drool-worthy food, great location & excellent service! The Breakfiesta was a total winner - SO delicious - LOVED IT!!! Perfect spot on Burwood Hwy with no noise & great parking & ideal for cyclists who want to break up the Eastlink trail. Have ended up there 3 times in a week!
If I could rate javaScript higher, I would! Excellent food and coffee, with welcoming staff and great, relaxed atmosphere. Absolutely my new fave breakfast spot!
