Review Vermont Thai - Vermont South

Food is good and authentic. But minimum 30dollar for card payment😢 service is good too. Will be back

Vermont Thai. I'll start by saying I don't like Thai food but was invited and happy to attend. restaurant was cosy and staff were nice. Everyone enjoyed their meals and I enjoyed my pad satay which was exactly what I was expecting. Would recommend

Fairly quiet during lunch hour. Had the the Thai fried rice. Asked for it to be spicy. Came out really spicy. Quiet enjoyed it. 30 mins wait time. Otherwise all good

Ordered takeaway via Menulog. 90 mins after I ordered, the status said delivered but it hadn’t arrived. I kept trying to call restaurant and they wouldn’t answer phone. Menulog eventually spoke to restaurant who said food was 15 minutes away and out with the restaurant driver. 30 minutes later, it still hadn’t arrived so I called restaurant who said it was 5 minutes away (still with driver). 20 minutes later it still hadn’t arrived (still with driver!!)… In total 3 hours and still no dinner. Fed the family toasted sandwiches instead and have requested a refund - was just too late to order anything else at that stage! Absolutely disgraceful!

Vegetarian spring rolls and fried tofu were delicious. Value for money. Nice local thai place to enjoy with family and friends.

Amazing customer service & great food. This is probably the 3rd time I have visited this place. Though I'm not a huge fan of minimum $20 spend for card transaction, quality of food and accomodating staff makes up for the negative. Will recommend and visit again.

This restaurant is really cute and the people are really nice. There are little decorations everywhere and we got given little chilly key rings. The food was really nice and came quickly. I’ve been here a few times and I recommend it.

Super tasty, fantastic service and reasonable price. Delivery was also on time. Everyone enjoyed the meal. Will definetly become a regular!

Vermont Thai used to be one of my favourite Thai restaurants but it’s so disappointing now. The Pad Thai has no flavour or sauce. The red curry had little to no flavour but a bit of spice. Overall not a good food experience
Good Food Good Mood
We picked up what seems like our weekly Thai takeaway last night and decided to try a new place due to last weeks stingy serving sizes at another location. I’m happy to report the portion here was far more sizeable but the beef In my pad see ew was pretty stringy and not of the highest quality so I probably wouldn’t go back
Karen
Food was not authentic Thai.
Tom yum soup - seems like it was made from a pre-mix paste and not from scratch.
Lemongrass vegetable beef stir fry - no lemongrass flavor at all, taste like any ordinary stir fry and beef was tough. Minced pork salad - watery and minced pork were more like pork patties.
#alwayshungry
Had the red curry and rice which hit the spot. Service was really good and the restaurant itself is quite nice. The serves were huge too. Would recommend

We ordered the pad thai and pad see ew dishes. The food was decent but there was not enough sauce and I also found egg shells in my pad thai dish.
Mad Dawg
I ordered the prawn Thai fried rice. I felt that it was overly sweet. Service was friendly although the food did take awhile to come out. Average at best.

Menus falling apart and very old. Decor makes you wonder about the kitchen hygiene as there is a distinct lack of pride.

Mixed entree was a greasy affair. Tomyum was strong on flavour. Pad Thai filled your stomach as was the green curry. Service was minimal.

My wife and I went here for the first time last week and we were very happy with their customer service. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had the Lime Fish and Sizzling Beef dish with Rice, great balance of heat and spices it was plentiful and amazing, loved it. Not many good Thai eateries that are authentic in the area. Definitely will go there again.

Went here on New Years Eve as a group of 6. We shared 3 entrees, and 5 mains plus steamed rice, which was enough for everyone without any leftovers. We were very pleased with everything we tried, but especially the grilled chicken, green chicken curry, and massaman beef curry, the meat really did melt in our mouths! Prices were great, it worked out at $22 per head including corkage for our BYO wine. The service was good, even though they were quite busy when we first arrived. Will definitely come back again when we are next in the area.

Went here with colleagues of work, there were big differences in time when food was served. Some were already finished while others were still waiting. The tom yum soup was ok, nothing special and too small to have for a lunch, even with a bowl of rice. I think there are better Thai or Asian options around this area..
KathBick
Love this place. Especially for lunch where they have $10 lunch deals. Always been happy with the quality of the Thai food - very tasty and lots of vegetables. Quick service.
Choc Pudding
I was very happy with their customer service. The staff was friendly and patient, as I had a lot of dietary restriction, she was happy to explain to me which dish would be fine for me. We had roast duck salad which was okay, not bad but not fantastic either. The sauce was tangy but small portion. We also had the grilled beef and that was amazing. The sauce was to die for. They can give me a bowl of it and I would be happy to eat it with my rice. The beef was nice and tender. So overall I am happy with this place, just the portions are small for the price.
We went again for a lunch this time and they had lunch special for $10 per dish and rice which is great. Had pad thai and red beef curry. Pad thai was good, although red curry was so so. The downside was the beef was tough.

Reading the reviews, decided to try this new thai place, since my recent quest for pad thai is disappointing me. We ordered pad thai and nasi goreng. My husband liked his nasi goreng and have been to this place twice. But I did not enjoy the pad thai. Tasted blend, and it had 2 pieces of each vegetables, seriously 2 pieces and again hates big chunky tomato piece. I won't b going again.
Fiona
Disappointing. Bought take away green curry. It was in a small container, the curry was runny and wasn't great. There are much better options in Vermont South
Amy
Came for a weekday lunch... overall the food was tasty but there's still a lot of room for improvement. The spring rolls were tiny, chicken skewers were quite dry, the curry sauces were too thin and stingey with ingredients. I also found the coconut rice to be too wet. However the pad Thai and fried rice exceeded my expectations... they were really quite tasty and well balanced. Couldn't fault the service, the waitress was very friendly and food came pretty quickly

Really good Thai food! I ordered from
Vermont Thai through the app EatNow. Menu looked great with decent pricing. I ordered green curry with tofu, veggie stirfry with satay sauce, coconut rice, veggie curry puffs and roti with peanut sauce. Once it had all arrived the food was really good. I could not fault the food. The only issue I had was with delivery. It took 1.5hrs to be delivered when I live 10mins away. The staff offered me a voucher to help calm my anger at the time which I appreciate now but at the time it was too little too late. So lesson learned - don't be lazy I'd highly recommend eating in or picking it up. Overall really good food!

Our local Thai that unfortunately has progressed to smaller portion sizes and a lack of good service. What was once our favourite take home meal is now not the way it was. Small serves of sauces if asked for extra on the side however great food regardless.
Gemma
Came here with a group of colleagues on a weeknight, and unfortunately the waitress messed up a number of our orders (this is what happens when you hire staff that speak NO English!!!). Food was nice, but unsure whether I will return due to poor service and communication. Travel the extra 10 mins to Thai Tables in Bayswater!
Larry Ma
Tried takeaway for pad Thai and it taste ok.

Had so many pad Thai in Thailand and this one was close. A little more attention to the details such as authentic sauces and ingredients would be a lovely touch to it and make it amazing. Would give a second try for other dishes next time
Littlemissyh
Pretty decent Thai food! Love the green & yellow curries and the grill is quite nice. They're always generous on veggies with the meat dishes, so you honestly wouldn't need to order a separate veggie dish. Service is quite good too.
Mo
I order a green curry chicken and a green curry lamb and some rotti for delivery on Tuesday night the chicken curry was acceptable but the rottie's were cold and seems like frozen and the lamb pieces were absolutely tough to the point that I had to cook it furthers for it to be eatable and i have to say the chef has got no f******idea about cooking👎🏻😟 if your going to serve these kind of meals then I reckon you need to shot your restaurant down as it was at its poorest quality. Very disappointed
Bagelhutzy
Good standard Thai food with all the classics on the menu! Nothing spectacular but good value, good service , friendly staff and a cute little set up!
Lets Talk About Food
Went to this place with a couple of girlfriends on the weekday. It was a small place and it didn't look at all busy when we arrived. We were greeted and seated but then no service was given to us. No water for the table. The waitress didn't even come and check on us after some time we were sitting there. When we were ready to order, one of us had to get the attention of the waitresses just standing there at the counter doing absolutley nothing. Food was good but the service could have been way better.
Mr Fox
Good cheerful Thai. I particularly enjoyed the Pumpkin Fritter and Tom Yum (Thai soup) when we visit. Good value Thai that you can visit on a regular basis as the menu is quite extensive.

Vermont Thai is a little Thai restaurant, along the strip of Vermont Shops. We have only been to Vermont Thai a couple of times but it has never been very busy either times we have gone. The staff we're very friendly and service was quick. The food is fresh and very tasty! The servings are big and cheap. They have the best Satay Chicken skewers here- mouthwatering!

TIP: Do order the Satay Chicken and Prawn Pad Thai- both super delicious.
Denise
We have been going to the Vermont South restaurant for many years. The service is great and the meals come out very quickly. It was hard to fault. Unfortunately the meals have been going downhill. I have always loved my green curry with beef, however the quality of the food, especially the beef and lamb is no longer tender. I wouldn't even feed it to my dogs. Please go back to your old source to buy your meats and patrons will return in droves. The staff are still as great and friendly as ever and this has no reflection on them. I think they are doing the best job with inferior products. Unfortunately, we haven't been back in the last month and we know many who will not be going back either. We miss your quality!

This is a small restaurant, about a dozen or so tables. The food here is really good and is very good value at lunch time. They have a lunch special for a full size meal with rice for $8.90! I'm sure most of the customers would be regulars. This place keeps us coming back too.

Overall not too bad.

Place seems to be more popular for middle aged dating couples than for families.

Stir fried vegetables is nicely done.

Thai fish cakes can do with a little more oomph.

Beef is a little over cooked in the hot plate

Green curry has too much coconut milk added in, I think. Otherwise, a very good dish.

Acceptable. Just.
Jonathan Lee
A really pleasant experience. The staff were friendly and accomodating - and the food came out quickly, despite the fact we had given them a surprise appearance of 14 people. Visually the food didn't look that exciting, but it more than made up for it in flavour. It was slightly expensive for the quantity provided but that seems normal for Thai cuisine.

Not the best Thai I have had before, but a pleasant meal nonetheless. Service was not bad, the place was clean and the decorations/displays were beautiful.

The meals came out quick and hot. Green curry (with chicken) was my definite favourite. Garlic Roti bread was decent but the sauce was nothing special. I preferred using the curry sauce to dip the Roti bread in and Twas heavenly!
Pad Thai was only so-so. To be honest I didn't really like it. The lime fish was ok, the fish was tender and the spicy lime flavour was delicious.
We also ordered the specials of the night: Prawns in Cones. (Prawns deep fried in spring roll pastry). Came out looking quirky (which I liked) but the flavour was nothing different/special. Not bad but was disappointed.

The price was a tad bit too pricey in my opinion but the dinner was not bad. :)

I am so lucky to live in walking distance to this gem. The food is consistently fresh and amazing whether you get takeaway or dine. Service is amazingly quick and staff are so smiley and friendly. As a lover of spicy food I appreciate how flavoursome and not over powering their dishes are. It really is for everyone! Must try.

I've gone to most of the Thai restaurants around the Eastern suburbs and Vermont Thai is the best so far in terms of price and taste. Also, I have to mention that their delivery service is reliable and quick, food is always fresh and wrapped nicely to avoid spills. Highly recommended to those who want cheap and quick Thai food. I've tried almost everything here except for the fish dishes. If you're not sure what to get, go for their curries or stir fries (chicken/beef) with some bread or coconut rice. The fried entrees are nice if you've a group of people and need something to start off with. The prawn salad and tom yum soup is great if you want something light.
Donal Mahon
Food good. Service almost none. Very disappointing. Staff seem to concentrate more on their take away orders than on restaurant guests. Would not recommend to friends
Cookielessvee
nice cosy place to have dinner. the dishes seemed a bit too sweet for my liking and the fried rice was kind of soggy. The green curry was good with a good amount of spicyness. service was alright
Ben Seah
One of the best Thai food around this suburb. Good for those who doesn't take spicy food.
Moderately priced. Good customer service.
Nice ambiance to enjoy a quiet dinner.

Charlotte Miller
Pretty good for your lazy night take away, it's not the best Thai I've ever had but certainly no the worst! It's great for when you have a girlfriend over for a movie night and for Friday cleaning night when you just can't be bothered doing dishes.
Ron Berry
Very tasty food, quick service and friendly staff make this one of our favorite restaurants. Prices are very low, so value is great. You have to try the Red Duck Thai Curry with coconut rice.
Tina Mitchell
Not the best Thai I've ever had, needs some work. Prefer pad Thai with a flat noodle not thin noodle. Masaman was a bit too spicy and lamb not tender.
ReadySteadyEat
Came here tonight for my mum's birthday with all of my family.
It was great service and great food for a Friday night!!
Vermont Thai has become a local for my family, and it's a place we never get sick of!
Their massaman lamb curry is to die for!! And it's the only place where my dad likes the satay sauce so much that he asks for it in a soup bowl.
I would highly recommend this place! Lovely food, attentive and helpful staff, and quick service.
Side note: If you're coming for dinner during winter, make sure you bring a jumper, it's always a little on the chilly side.
VJ
Went here with family for dinner today....would rate it below average. Entree - chicken statay skewer's was very dry, chicken spring roll's extremely small serve.
Main - red curry chicken was worst we ever had.... too much coconut milk....all we could taste was the paste, stir fry chicken was the only dish we liked.
Overall - did not like the food and will not return. VJ
UrbanWanderings
Full flavours, fresh and tasty. Always enjoy the red curry of offer here...its my go to takeaway from home along nights. Served over sticky coconut rice, its a delicious treat
Drmc
Disappointed Most food was .... Disappointed
Most food was nice with generous servings but the beef was quite tough. Service only fair at best - came time to leave and asked to take the left overs away so they just dumped a couple of plastic containers on the table. Never had to pack our own before and they weren't even busy! Wouldn't return, too many others in the area to put up with that.
Roseaquatics
Bad delivery service. Took 2 hours for our home delivery to arrive after being told 40 minutes. If you can't cope with the orders, don't take them. Order cancelled

Amazing fresh flavours my husband loves Thai food as he has lived there, and we absolutely love this place great staff fast efficient and affordable!!! Must try:)
Andrew Jacobs
Consistently great food. I have been here many times as I live and work nearby, and I have never been disappointed. The lunch special is great value - lots of choice, good portion size and a soft drink included. The food is authentic, flavourful and fresh.. This is definitely my favourite Thai restaurant. Service is always wonderful and the decor is really beautiful.
Palala
Dined here and had take away a few times, first time service was very nice so we were very willing to come back as the food was nice (except for the small portion curry)
Had dinner here tonight, service was terrible , staffs were talking among themselves not attentive to customers at all when they bring food to the table no word came out of their mouths (let alone smiles) just a thud from the placing of dishes. When I went up to pay the bill the waiter did not speak at all, my mum told me to give tips to them (as it was only 30 cents) but the service was that bad that I hesitated to give that 30cent.
Jazz45
Underwhelmed. I was so disgusted with my meal. I ordered the fish salad, which I expected to be light and flavoursome like all of the other Thai salads I have had in the past. The fish was deep fried, dry and obviously not close to fresh, and was sat on top of the lettuce in the container, making it brown and soggy. This was the only form of salad apart from fried shallots that it came with. The sauce was the same as any bottled sweet chilli sauce, which I do not like at all. My entrees were soggy and oily, the spring rolls were filled with minced chicken tasted strange. I ended up binning everything after a taste. Worst $30 I have ever spent.
Chris
Best thai restaurant in melbourne!. After few trips to thailand , i am in love with thai food. when i am back in australia i have been searching for that triditional thai food tast. After my visit at vermont thai last night i know that i dont have to travel thousand miles away to get real thai food. The food was amazing. nothing less than perfect! staff were exceptionally polite and friendly, food was fresh and cooked in the triditional thai style. could not have asked for a better place to eat!
Samuel Jacobs
Impressive. First of all great food and services. I have been to Thailand few times and loved the food over there. I have been trying to find a good Thai restaurant that remind me of the time I was over there but this seems to be an impossible task. Finally, I found this place after a friend recommended to me. Simply put I was impressed.

I don’t usually write comment on internet blog but I like to recommend this place other foodie so I do. To my surprise, amongst the many positive feedback. There are some negative ones which I have found astonishing. I have seen this sort of behaviour before thou, usually they are other restaurant competitors. Last thing, I want to see is a great restaurant being affect by this appalling behaviour. I do recommend this place to everyone. Bon a petite!!

Great food..... Great service. I have been to Vermont Thai many times. Always keep coming back& recommend to friends& families to go there as well. Because of, the food are authentic Thai food. I would like to recommend my favorite dishes which are golden bag, stay chicken, duck salad. The curry& stir fried dish are fantastic too. Also, the staffs provided a great service& friendly . It's such a lovely place to hang out with friend& family.
Tatiana
Excellent Food. It was our first time at this restaurant and we really enjoyed both food and service. We loved the starters, curry puff and golden bags. We have tried one of their special menu the fish and apple salad.... yummy. Compare to the other restaurant I recommend the local should try this one also and you will find out. Its not that bad. Don't let the negative comments hold you to try their food. We did told them about the curry which was a little bit spicy for us, a staff politely apologized and asked a chef cook a new one promptly. Definitely be back again.
Albert
EXCELLENT TASTE AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I went with 4 mates and since i just got back from Thailand, the food was amazing. Very authentic and similar taste just like Bangkok. If you have group of 4 or 6 people, this is the idleThai restaurant to go to as the serves are very very generous. Very friendly service as the Thai staff creates a friendly family Thai environment.

Will always come back to Vermont Thai anytime!!
Gavin
Good food in East. I and my family went to have dinner last week. We normally get take away from them. This was our first time for dine in. We really enjoyed authentic Thai food with their entree, Golden bag, Stay chicken and Tom yum soup. Then for the main we ordered Kropao Gop(Thai Basil), Duck curry and Pad thai noodle, They were delicious indeed!!! and also they came out with big portion. They have very good customer service and fast. We strongly recommend to my friends to this restaurant and definitely come back.
Gabby
Loved It. Firstly we have been avoiding this place even though its so close to home because of the negative reviews. But some friends asked my husband and I to go last night so we gave in and went.
Well how wrong were the reviews and we have been missing out on beautiful Thai food right on our doorstep.
We had the chicken satay skewers, beautiful sauce and the chicken was lovely and juicy not like other places that deep fry it or dry it out.
The prawn skewers full of flavour and a great chilli kick to them.
Pad Thai prawn, great flavour maybe a little gluggy but still good.
Calamari, so lightly dusted in spices and fried to a tender perfection.
The sizzling chicken hot plate, bursting with flavour and a good amount of sauce underneath to use on rice and noodles.
All in all we had a great night, the 2 young Thai staff a very bubbly girl and boy could not do enough to make our night enjoyable, nothing was to much trouble and they both had big genuine smiles all night.
So the food was good, portion sizes were big (we 4 could not finish our meals), the staff were fantastic and the price was good.

The friends that took us have been several times and had the same experience every time so I really can't understand all the previous negative comments. All I can suggest is ignore them and try it for yourself
A N
Had dine in. The food was .... Had dine in.
The food was simply not cost worthy.very ordinary service. The food came in small portions ! I only had 3 pieces of small prawns in my 20$ prawn curry !
Definitely not going back. Left the Restourant hungry .
Arkin Djouma
Very Disappointing. Had been hanging out to try this place.
It was the worst Thai food I have ever tasted.
Won't see me or my friends hear again.
Not a happy ending. Also it appears that more than a few people have had a negative experience and the person posting under the title of "To all negative comments" would be better served to take note rather than to adopt a defensive approach to people's honest feedback.
Maureen Murphree
Ate here recently on the recommendation of a friend. The food was okay without being outstanding. Just average really. The service was very good tho, prompt and friendly. The place is easy to find, being on the outside corner of South Vermont shopping centre, but like many Asian restaurants these days, very noisy when full. I do wish restaurateurs would consider putting some sound proofing in when they decorate.
Greg Awayalot
Ish bish delish! Tasty food good service nIce wine (oops we brought our own). All in all a very pleasant evening.
Dr MS
Tasty but costly. I enjoyed the food here as it was unique.but to pay 35$ pp in a far away suburb like Vermont and emerge not completely full means it is a place that I will rarely visit
Ganaman
Enjoyed the food. Very authentic street Thai. Thought it was a tad pricy for the location and ambience. Cut your prices 10 to 20% and you're the 'hot' Thai place in the East !
Richard M
Great night. I have been to Vermont Thai twice now. The first with my wife and last night we went with a group of friends. The food is very good and liked by all and the service was friendly and helpful. Looking forward to my next visit.
John
Delicious Thai food.... This is my favourite thai restaurant and having visited thailand many times I am a big fan of thai cuisine. I've tried many thai restaurants in Melbourne, but for me this one stands out when it comes to taste and really friendly service. Personally I think it is reasonably priced for the quality of the food and service. I particularly like the starters and love the "mixed entree". Strongly Recommended!!
Mark
To all negative comment. User name basil you misunderstanding or you try to destroy this restaurant frst of all duck was never thin like you say, I've always had pretty much actually and in red duck curry NEVER have potato in there, so what's your propose??? and the rest that comment about small size I don't think it's small at all or maybe was bit too small but come check it out now, full dish, reasonable price, nice&warm service [if they not too much busy] best Thai food in areas, taste also stable everytime, What's other think??? and Ms.Blog you said everything was perfect but you end with the word probable not come back!!! have you think carefully before you make a comment, weirds
Chris
6/10. We went there for lunch and had a mix of the $10 lunch special dishes. The restaurant is very nice, still new.. The service was fast and polite. I noted we were the only customers there the whole time.
The portion size was just right for lunch (who wants to stuff themselves at that time of day?). The food was nothing special though. It wasn't bad, just not very good. In Melbourne, one gets used to excellence in Thai cooking very easily. If the chef lifted his/her game, this place could be a real hit.
Willow
Had take out from here several times, prices are reasonable and comparable to other Thai restaurants and food is superb.. Highly recommend
Hannah
I've eaten here several times and my friends and I love it. The food is delicious and I think it is really good value for money and we are all uni students!! Can't wait to go back!

Don't Ever Go There - Never again. Firstly we ordered a lunch special - Red Curry with Rice - for $10.90 but they purposely tried to charged us $14.90. Make sure you check your bills because they don't seem very honest in their business dealings.

Secondly, as noted from other customers, their serving size is terrible small. If you want better Thai food value I recommend Thai Yim in Glen Waverley.

For the amount of money you pay, and their ability to overcharge their already high prices, Vermont Thai disappoints.
Catherine Wite
Great Night Out. Our experience at Vermont Thai was very positive - the Red Duck Curry had fantastic flavours and the duck was very tender, and Mike's Pork Noodle dish was delishious, again tender meat, generous serving and the service was excellent - very attentive and eager to please. A great place for a very reasonable price, under $50. Will recommend to our friends.
Slickjts
Disappointing!!! We ordered take-away and the container was only half full. We called them only to be told this was their "standard serve". The beef was tough, they use can mushroom and their curly carrot is annoying. We definitely lost our patronage for good.
Basil
Will Never Come Back Again!. Overall, very disappointing experience. Serving size was ridiculously small for the price. First thing in front of me was a broken glass on the table. Entree' was four pieces of little larger than 50c sized fish cakes for $7.90. We ordered the duck curry (about $16) with two serves of rice ($3 each) which was very disappointing with only a few small pieces of duck and potato, most of it was sauce and flavour was only average. The pad thai was joke. It did not taste like pad thai at all, more like a chinese stir fry. It didn't even come with lime and gave me lemon when I asked for lime. The Tom Kha tasted average however still very pricey. The service was appaling. The waitress was in the middle of processing my bill and decided to do something else and had me waiting in front of the counter for at least 5 minutes before slamming the receipt in front of me with no eye contact whatsoever or saying thank you and continued talking to another staff. I will definitely not come back again. Expensive, appalling service, ridiculous serving sizes, and did not taste like authentic thai food.

The new local. Drove past on a wednesday night and saw this new thai place. It was packed which was surprising for a weeknight so we diverted our dinner plans and popped in.
I had the pad grapow with tofu and vegies and my partner had chicken kee mao. looking around at others dishes I thought that they were a little small but once we got ours they were more than ample!
The awesome part is that it was piping hot (in temperature) so they don't muck around getting it to your table. service was quick and nice. The food itself I was quite happy with - plenty of fresh vegies and good amount of spice for a spice lover (although my partner thought his chicken was too spicy (to the point of not being able to finish it).
It's not my favourite thai place of all time but it's my local so I will be heading there more often I think! price was fairly pricey for thai (especially to eat in) but I have had crappier more expensive thai so it was reasonable.
Chris Hunter
Great warm duck salad ,terrible fish cakes
The World’s My Oyster
SMALLEST SERVES EVER!. We ordered 2 curries -Red Duck and Massaman Lamb. For the massaman we literally had 3 small, 1.5cmx1.5cm cubes of lamb, lots of curry sauce and 2 chunks of potato. The taste was good, cept the serve was seriously appalling. With four people eating not even everyone got a small morsel of the lamb. Lamb was also terribly tough. Same with the Red Duck, had tonnes of veges but again evidently very mean with the duck, we had 5 slices of paper thin duck that was lost in the veges. The discs of duck were no bigger than the the diameter of a small lime. The pad thai has loads of flavour, I loved how the citrusy lemon taste cut through the richness of everything. The beef was SO SO SO SO TOUGH. At least they gave a proper serve of beef with the noodles. I cannot understand why this place is so busy, the serves are incredibly small and they hold back waaaaaay too much with the meat. Will not have my patronage again or anyone that I know.
Hold The Peas
It looked quite small, especially for the price, but was bigger than it looked, and the noodles were underneath. It had lots of vegies and this was my favourite main dish.
