Review Hey Griller - Victoria Park

Foodie Foodie
We were there for dinner, had tried some entrees: eggplants 🍆, cauliflower and pork belly wraps, and mains: garlic prawns, beef ribs and steak burger 🍔. We were very impressed with the beef ribs, very tender and tasted great, but disappointed with the steak burger, the garlic prawn sauce was a bit watery. We will certainly go back for the beef ribs, and will try others, hopefully the other dishes will be as good as the beef ribs. Personally, I like the painting on the wall.

New menu is amazing - worth a regular visit here 🙌 Quality meat and authentic charcoal sticks you can’t get elsewhere. Highly recommend their octopus dish and yellow chicken, they are to die for 😍 You can’t go wrong with this new menu

First time visiting the Restaurant and the food was amazing! Ate the Philly cheese steak burger, was so flavoursome with the combination of spices and sauces. Received it pretty quickly too. The customer service was fantastic! Very helpful and nice. All over a great experience and will definitely dine at Hey Griller again!

Fantastic food, tasty, well presented. Our taste buds thoroughly enjoyed the burst of flavours. I recommend going with a group of friends and sharing a few platters 😋😋

The food here is really delicious! The Northern style skewers were well seasoned, the tamarind tofu was crunchy, the ribs were soft to the bone and the WA tiger prawns were massive and meaty. Service and atmosphere was great. It did take a bit of time for the food to come out, but it was definitely worth the wait!

Great food, served fast by friendly people. Generous serves, especially the mains. You won't be disappointed, the grill smell alone with make your mouth water. Use the online booking system to easily and quickly secure a table. Grab a cocktail, wine, beer etc. Settle in for a great meal.

A real hidden gem, great food, prices, service and staff, easy parking out the back. I recommend the Philly cheese steak burger. I will definitely eat there again.

Not a good experience. The food totally don't worth the price. The crispy pork belly main was tough and flavourless. The jus was alright but definitely not the best. Crispy pork belly was slightly chewy. Had a glass of lychee mocktail, flavourless as well. Only tasted slight sweetness in plain water with lots of ice.

My friends and I chose to come here for dinner a couple of weeks ago because we were running out of places to eat in Vic Park and this restaurant had good reviews. The booking was done effortlessly through dimmi and communication with staff was swift when I informed them I had to change my booking to a later time. When we arrived at the restaurant it was empty, which wasn't a good sign but seeing that it was only 7pm, we gave it the benefit of the doubt because it was still a bit early and it was only a Wednesday night. Between the 3 of us we ordered crispy pork mini wrap, grilled harissa chicken, flaming pork belly, twice-cooked pork belly, chocolate fudge & green tea pannacotta. The food came out quickly and the presentation was great, unfortunately all the dishes looked a lot better than they tasted. R's crispy pork mini wrap had good flavours but the sauce was salty and the pork was very dry. His grilled harissa chicken was also very salty. R could handle salty food but he left half of the chicken because he just couldn't bring himself to eat it. The salad was the best part of the dish, he said. A's flaming pork belly came out quite theatrically with the meat being set on fire at the table, it was great to watch but painful to eat. The pork belly was 80% fat, with very little meat and the corn fritters that came with the dish were dry and didn't really add anything special to it. My twice-cooked pork belly had a good balance of fat & meat but every piece was so dry. I also found a piece of plaster wrapped around it and when informed the staff, they checked with the kitchen and told me it was a piece of cling wrap because their meat was individually wrapped. The staff then offered a discount on the dish, which was fair. A's dessert was the chocolate fudge and while he thoroughly enjoyed what he could eat, he commented that it was a very rich dish and perhaps the portion size could have been smaller or there could be something else to cut through the sweetness. My green tea pannacotta unfortunately was very dense and didn't have that "jiggliness" when it came to the table. It, however, tasted delicious and was definitely my favourite dish of the night (we tasted each other's food). Even though the food wasn't impressive and there were many faults, we could not fault the staff and their customer service. Both of our waitstaff were delightful and made us feel welcome. It was a shame that the food was not up to standard.

Came here just the other night and what a great find! Booked through Zomato but it didn't find them- thank you for accomodating for us so fast. We were one of the first that arrived at around 6.30PM and within 30 minutes the venue was full and this was on a Tuesday night. All 8 of us couldn't fault any of our meals- even got greedy and ordered another main- the flamed pork Belly then also desert. All of us tried each other's meals and couldn't fault anything. From the lighting to the menu to the music to even the layout of the restaurant 10/10. Only fault was that I felt that the 2 girls could have used an extra server to keep up with the pace however they did amazing and they were very friendly and efficient. Will be back for sure and will be spreading the good words 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Went there without any booking and they were still able to accomodate us.. food came out quickly. We ordered steak and the trio of skewers.. food were well marinated, tasted great and got our steak a perfect medium rare with a bit of fire on top.. service is exceptional as well.. so glad this place is right around the corner from us 👍

Hey Griller only loses 1 star for the lane way view (some blinds or plants would be good), the food and service was fantastic! We had pork skewers with xo sauce and added chilli for entree, the flamed steak (which was incredibly tender) and grilled fish for mains. All the food was full of flavour and delicious lovely drink choices made for an unexpected great dinner date, will definitely be back

Had scallops and calamari entree calamari came first had to ask where scallops were.! Scallops tasteless and frozen.! Ordered the flaming steak medium to well done was rare to medium.! Honest opinion over priced for what it is.! Tried the place on a recommendation wont be back to recommending to my friends.!

Service very poor. 6 at our table and we all got our meals 20 mins apart !!! By the time the last meal was served, no 1 was on dessert. No excuses. Twice we saw waitress drop meals !

We just had dinner at Hey Griller tonight & we're so impressed! The lamb shank was sensational and well priced too. Great value for money. Will definitely recommend & return.

Could not fault it! Delicious food for a great price. Good drink selection. Nice, friendly staff. We will definitely be back!!

Nothing is as good as food and beverages served in this restaurant. Will bring my friends here again to try the belly pork skewers and cheese cake.Superb!

Our group had Salmon, Steak, Pork Belly for mains and Skewers for starters, our first time there, Great food, Great service, will be back for sure 😊

Found this place by accident and certainly glad we did amazing food and amazing friendly service. Very cosy place and perfect for a date or family time. Awesome! Be very happy to come back again!

Very last minute but best decision made. Most friendly staff ever and so happy with the food. Come visit here

Great food and good Service. Pork belly was amazing.

Absolutely amazing food & the service was outstanding. We are going to be regulars 😂😂😂

Great Valentine's Day set menu. Thought the service, food taking so long and the lack of cleaning up the other tables was a let down. My hubby got his main meal and I had to ask if mine was on its way. Hubby waited a while but in the end he ate his cold and I was still waiting. Had run out of a dessert option. Love this place and food... Staff standing around at the counter doesn't cut it when there were at least four tables need clearing.

Delicious food and very friendly service!

Been here three times now.

Last time I was here we had the tasting fusion skewers combo to share, flame iron (medium rare) & smoked pork ribs. As always cooked perfectly and taste wonderful. Would definitely recommend all three dishes.

Only downside is that it is quite pricey for the food/atmosphere you are getting (assuming you are not getting any sort of discount for your food). Hence there are plenty of alternatives at that price point.
Janet @ Perth
The food is pretty good especially the flame iron which is quite interesting. The steak marinated perfectly but the stuffed mushroom is a bit heavy & salty. Also the wait time is a bit long as we waited for 45 minutes after ordering.

Finally visited Hey Griller. Hubby and I escaped the kids and went for dinner. The Cheese bread was pretty good actually. Nothing special but would order again.Hubby had the Flaming Steak - One of the best steaks he has ever had (so he said) and the pepper sauce was really good. Instead of the mushroom he asked for chips and this was no hassle.I had the Twice Cooked Pork Belly - very nice though the sauce got a little sickly once you got to the end of the dish. The only "bad" part was hubby's meal was served first and mine came about 7-8 minutes after, so he had finished and I was still eating. Service was very friendly and we would definitely recommend and will definitely go back.

The food was fine. We did order the tiger prawns but got these tiny prawns that were more like shrimp so that was disappointing.

The pork belly was nice but the flames were so small it was a little disappointing. The fish they forgot to make and came back a skinless piece of thin fillet which was disappointing for my mum who was looking forward to the crispy skin advertised in photos.

The flaming steak alone lacked flavour and was a bit tough but the gravy did make it much better . The highlight had to be the lamb shank which was soft and lovely.

Service was ok, our order wasn’t taken properly and they tried to blame us for not saying it when I clearly did. They also rushed to clear our table which wasn’t amazing. But other than that they were nice and took a photo.

All bark and no bite.

Tried the flaming steak and pork belly here. While the flames are unique, the food itself is a massive disappointment.

The prawn skewers and fried chicken were so average I can barely recall what they looked like. The seasoning was haphazard and I was left wondering how they got it so wrong.

The steak lacked any sort of crust or colour. Although it was tender it wasn't the flavour you're looking for in a steak. There was no crust, and the sauce was like peppered starch.

The pork belly crackling was too hard and sticky, instead of being genuinely crispy. The apple sauce didn't actually taste like apple.

We had the chocolate fudge... Or so we thought. What we were served was closer to a lava cake, but not a good one. It was also served in a dark cup which annoyed me further as you could not see clearly what was inside the dish.

I find it hard to see why I'd return.

For weeks I was looking forward to coming here for my birthday. Finally the day rolled around. I ordered the scallops for entree and the twice cooked plum pork for main.
Scallops - where was the edamame? Where was the mango tequila salsa? Oh I found the noodle though, a dry packet noodle placed strategically on the scallop (one on each) hallelujah for that... not.
Pork - um. If I knew I was going to get that much fat I would of just asked for a spoon full of lard. Would of saved me 26 bucks. Literally half of it was fat, not rendered, soggy, limp, no need to say more.
My partner ordered the flaming steak. We saw it.... but there wasn’t much of it...
Friends said their dishes were ok so maybe we’re picky or ordered the wrong dish although think again before you decide to eat a plate full of fat... or leave it to the side like I did.
Oh and don’t let the waitress try tell you it’s pork belly, that’s how it’s meant to be... yeh nah, no pork belly should be unrendered and fatty like that.
Sammi
Everyone ordered something different and everyone raved how good their food was. The flame some dishes at the table. Can recommend the crispy pork belly
OnePointFive
Been wanting to visit HG for ages and finally did recently. Everyone was satisfied with everything we had. All dishes cooked to perfection. Tofu Salad was awesome. I really enjoyed their Salmon & Lamb Shank. Beef was good but not my fav. I didnt try the Pork Belly but others liked it! Good service. Shame that they dont have good lightings, hence photos turned out bad. I am really keen to go back!

This resturant has great lighting and ambience, and it's not too packed. The food was delicious, incredible flavours, but it's a shame the service wasn't up to scratch. It definitely wasn't the staff's fault as the three staff on were lovely but they were run off their feet on a busy Saturday night. We got through almost two bottles of wine before we got any food. Keep up the delicious fusion flavours but give those lovely staff some help.
Kitty_tippy
Visited HEY GRILLER with my partner, I ordered the Flame Iron and was disappointed. The steak was served on a hot stone with a side of sauce, salad and prawns. The stone wasn't even that hot so my steak wasn't sizzling a lot and the size of the steak itself was small, about the size of my fist. I assumed it was going to be bigger as it was $30. My partner had the double sliders which he was happy about, and had nothing to complain about. The food was good but I think my steak was overrated and a bit pricey. I've seen bigger steaks on the stone.
Food meet expectations. Staff is friendly and efficient. A bit noisy in small restaurant with only hard surfaces. 20% off food when I booked using zomato.
Little Epicurean
Attentive service by friendly waitresses. Although the food wasn't fabulous, it was great for what it is and not overly pricey for what you get(for dining out in Perth today). I'd return to try a few more items out on the menu. Keep it up Griller!!

Dissapointed... I’ve been here twice before and thought that the food was great however I definitely do not feel the same anymore. I ordered the char grilled lamb shank and the middle of it was cold. The wait staff who served us then kept saying that it shouldn’t be cold because it’s made fresh and I started to doubt myself.. so I got my partner to taste it and he confirmed that it was definitely cold in the middle. The wait staff then still went on about how it shouldn’t be cold...

What I’m most disappointed about is not just the food, but the fact that when I told her my food was cold, the wait staff tried to disacknowledge me. Perhaps next time, acknowledge that it might be a mistake and I would have been ok with an apology.

Another suggestion for Hey Griller - I think you may need to change the writing on your 20/30% off voucher (the ones that are put in mailboxes). On the voucher it says that “Locals 30% off on food” however when we paid, the discount only applied to mains and not entrees. I thought that it was a bit misleading.
Tina Nguyen
Last minute plans turned out to be one of the best place I've eaten. From entrees, main, dessert and drinks - all dishes were incredible quality and full of taste. To add the extra cherry on top, it was my birthday and the two staff members came out sung too - best service ever. Would 100 percent recommend.

Great little Restaurant! Staff were nice and friendly. Food was amazing! Great crunchy sweet potato chips. Only disappointment was that their menu has a lot of seafood on it (not the biggest seafood fan). However the food was very well priced
Green Foodie
Verdict: Delightful dining experience for a high price. Will I revisit? Considering the price, no. Came here in a group of 5 with the 50% off the bill offer. We restricted ourselves from getting alcohol to see how much the bill would total up. Good grief, it was $270+ after discount. Imagine if we did not had the 50% deal, we would be breaking our pockets. Food is relatively good like the Crispy skin salmon, Flaming pork belly, skewers. It was a little noisy tho and food service was really slow. Portion isn't huge and that is why we had to make a 2nd round order to fill our stomachs.
Mia Ridzuan
We ordered the lamb shank, crispy pork belly and the sweet potato chips. Serving size was very generous (massive for me - took some leftovers home plus we didn't finish the chips). Both the lamb and the pork were cook perfectly and it was awesome to have a little show with our dinner (came with the crispy pork. Just order it and you'll understand!). The overall balance of the lamb dish could be improved though as it was very indulgent and at times a little salty. It could do with a fresh or citrus based salad on the side to cut through the fattiness. We still had a lovely time. Definitely keen to come back and try the skewers and try a more tapas approach.
Smashmouth
Great food, well cooked and presented with decent portions. The space is well appointed and the beverages reasonably priced. My only criticism is that the friendly wait staff seemed to want us out too quickly and rushed the service (mains arriving as we were still finishing entrees and sort of hovering as we were finishing mains with half a bottle of plonk left). All this going on before 20:30 with other diners in the restaurant.

We went there for dinner at the Saturday night. The food here is absolutely perfect and great value. I especially enjoyed the flaming crispy pork which I thought was wonderful. Excellent service and friendly staff. I will definitely be back!

Was OK. Food was over priced. On tap beer advertised and charged for Pint (425mls) but is actually 355mls. The signature dish (steak) $34 was average for the price compared with The Old Brewery's 100day old scotch fillet $39 which is perfect.
Very noisy with sound bouncing around off shiny surfaces.
Wouldn't recommend it after spending $125+. Very forgettable.

Came here on Tuesday night- aside from the restaurant not receiving our booking- (cough cough booked through Zomato) this place is a great find! A little restaurant in the heart of Vic Park we couldn't fault anything. There was 7 of us- thank you for quickly assembling our table. And every single dish that came out we were very impressed with. From the layout of the restaurant to the music and volume to the lighting seriously this place I can't speak any highly of. Only thing was I could tell the 2 girls were a bit off there feet and could have done with an extra hand but they were amazing 👊🏻👊🏻

Fusion cuisine with both Asian and Western. Highly recommend for the dishes with "flame" title, You will be amazed :) Meat lovers will find their satisfaction with the taste and the portion.

It's one of those nights again where we wanted to try something different . After recommending an overseas friend to the restaurant and receiving a thumbs up, I decided this was the night to pop in for a visit .

Our entree came pretty quick , the crispy pork belly with homemade wrap. Well, who don't like roast pork, you can massacre the meat by over cooking it and we will still eat that . Will give this. 6/10

The main we ordered the grilled fish and the beef . I had the the flaming beef. The beef was nice and tender and served on a hot stone . It comes with side serving of theatrics, not sure what it adds to the flavour though. The fish was nicely cooked , the star for the dish though was the crispy fries. It was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside . Their fries was ten times better than Rockpool . ( note : never order the fries at Rockpool , the fries taste like you left it in a box too long and it becomes limp and lifeless)
7.5 /10

We then proceed to the pana cotta . It is nicely balanced with the cherry compote, pistachio and
Mango - 7.5/10

Overall nice atmosphere , friendly service and decent food . Would definitely go back . 3.75 / 5
Earlier this year, my friend and I decided to go to Hey Griller to catch up while she was holidaying from Adelaide to Perth. We ordered 2 entrees, 1 side, 2 mains and 1 dessert to share. If you can’t already tell by our order, we are 2 girls who love our food and we love to eat. The scallop entree was alright, I personally was not a huge fan of the flavour combination. I normally am a huge fan of scallops and mayo but I think the mayo was a bit too rich and over powered the sweetness of the scallop. The traditional skewer combo was nice – it came with lamb, pork and winglets. My favourite (surprisingly) was the winglet! I say surprisingly because I thought the lamb or pork would have been the best of the 3. I really liked the smokey grilled flavour in the winglets – very Moreish. For mains, we ordered the pork belly and beef which arrived to the table in true theatrical form – it was flaming! The meats were both cook well, but I thought the overall dish lacked a bit of flavour and oomph. I personally found the food here to be quite under seasoned for my liking. My friend and I found ourselves having to add a lot of salt to our meal which I normally do not do. We ended the night with dessert – this was both of our favourite dishes. The yam cheesecake was lovely and oh so yummy and dense (but not too dense). Overall it was a decent dinner experience for a bit high price.

Went with family on Sunday. Nice cyte place wirh great decor. Good staff. Food was amazing and really tasty. Loved the orawn toast and the scallops. The flaming steak was a beauty. Awesome 😊😊😊😊😊

Highly recommend the crispy pork on flat bread, seared scallops, char grilled lamb shank and flaming crispy pork belly! 👍👍👍
The service is really nice and friendly.

Ooooooooooo an Asian griller. The crispy skin salmon is to die for. The whole menu begs a look at. The drinks are great and it's a nice out of the box night out.

A decent dinner experience for a bit high price.

We started with lamb cumin satay. Not bad but I had better one for cheaper price.

The flaming pork belly was pretty good. Its crispy and juicy. The shitake salad was good as well. The flame serves no purpose other than theatrical in my opinion.

The calamari was okay, not the best one though.

Would I come back? Maybe. Not anytime soon though considering the price.
Johnmcinerheney
After having to wait for 15 mins to be seated even though we had a booking I was hardly impressed.
I was told by staff the reason was because people hadn't left yet. Go figure. If you are looking for a hassle free evening then please avoid this place. 10 minute wait on water, cold mains, under cooked vegetables, unapologetic staff. Food was not as described either, see pictures. I ordered the lamb shank and the Harissa chicken salad. The lamb was cold and the chicken salad had no pumpkin. The entree I ordered of scallops was meant to have edamame but kale was used as a substitute. Overall the food tastes good, but the service and misrepresentation of meals leaves me feeling like I won't be back anytime soon. Also please don't serve food on chipped bowls (see pic)

Lovely little gem in vic park. Went out Friday night night family of 4, booked thorough Zomato, we were running a little late and the manager was understanding. On arrival we could see why it is important to keep your booked time, the restaurant is small and it is only fair that customers arrive on time and exit to give other patrons a chance. Ambience is good, however it is a little loud, people talking on top of each other maybe because we are all in a small place. It will be helpful to turn off the radio as it doesn't help at all it just adds to the noise. Food wise no complains at all, the fish and salad was terrific the dressing in the salad is amazing, the skewers-pork, lamb and chicken were good too but found the pork and lamb to be a little bit fatty. Overall very good customer service.
Perth Eats
What a disappointment! I ordered the smashed peach cocktail and there was nothing smashed peach about it 🙈, it tasted like a lime soft drink ( to the point that I went up to the waiter to ask if I had been given the smashed peach drink, and they replied yes)!

The scallops were good.

The Prawn toast with caviar had like 3 tiny caviar dots on it, don't know why they even bothered adding it on, couldn't taste it and it served no purpose!

The lamb skewers, the meat was filled with cartilage and was so was tough. The garlic sauce (couldn't even taste the garlic in it).

The sliders, the bread tasted like it was deep fried in oil and not drained, it was soooooo greasy, it was inedible!

The hazelnut chocolate fudge dessert was extremely decadent to the point of being sickly sweet, that it had to be shared.
BrookeM
Nice place for a mid week feed. Service was great...serving sizes a little on the smaller side (especially fusion skewers) but overall a pleasant dining experience.
Konnesewer
Friendly people.
Food was a bit slow but great serving portions and great taste.
One down side was the slow response to order drinks, we were waiting 30 minutes between finishing drinks and getting somebody's attention to order more. A bit dissappointing.
Over all recommended.

Went to Hey Griller on last Saturday. Busy but friendly attentive staff made the moderate wait very tolerable. Food was amazing. Ordered the flame iron and flaming crispy pork belly, both delicious and tasty. Highly recommend, see you next time.
Agnes Morrie
Ordered the signature dish - pork belly. Very oily and heavy. But at least the mocktail mojito was nice. The chicken harrissa was not impressive
Nick Qi
What a fabulous place to dine. Quite tasty modern Australian food for reasonable price. Everything was perfect and looking beautiful on the plate. I love the traditional lamb skewers. Will definitely be back to try another dishes, thank you Hey Griller.

Went here for dinner yesterday and loved it! Excellent food, great price and amazing look! Had the flame iron and grilled fish as the main course, was amazing! The staff are all very helpful and friendly, will be back again and again!

I was a bit hesitant to try out this place with all the mix reviews from Zomato. Alas, I thought to give it a go to give them the benefit of the doubt. I had the twice cooked pork belly with plum chilli glaze, crunchy wonton pastry slaws and sweet potato chips. I was amazed by how the pork belly just melted in my mouth and the glaze sweetened the pork even further. The slaws were a bit bland, but that worked out well to balance the sweetness of the pork. The sweet potato fries complemented the meal. I underestimated the size of the meal. The picture did not do justice to how full I felt after finishing my meal. I have to say, "Hey Griller, I would like to come back again"!
Master Roshi
I was so interested to come here only because of the negative reviews that had been put up. Firstly, reservations for the place was effortless and convenient. Not having to call up the place and getting a reservation made and confirmed was already putting this place in the positive.

I ordered the Flaming Crispy Pork Belly. After all the negative reviews I have to disagree with them completely! A note especially to Vicky and Hippokathy88, pork belly needs at least a minimum 50% fat unless your pig was an athlete. The pork belly I had was perfect. It was about 60/40 fat which was great. The skin was amazingly crispy and salted to perfection. The accompaniment of the shiitake mushroom was just amazing. All parts of the meal complimented a full meal. It was quite a big meal and I was slightly struggling to finish.

The place had an amazing atmosphere and the short entertainment from the flambé made the night perfect. Also pictured is the Grilled Harissa Chicken which mom had and gave it 10/10. Will definitely visit again to have the others on the menu.
I went to Hey Griller Restaurant for dinner yesterday with my friends. The service was excellent, food amazing.
We had squid, kao corn and fusion combo as entrees. Everything was cooked to perfection. The fusion combo is the best skewers ever!
We definitely gonna come back! Thanks Hey Griller!
Vicky Young
Came here with a large group and they were very accommodating. Unfortunately the food was terrible. I ordered the pork belly which was 80% fat, mildly warm when it arrived at the table. I wasn't alone in the low quality, seeing half finished dinners every where. For the price I paid of around $30 I expected at least a decent meal however the size did not make up for the extremely low quality of the product. Would absolutely not recommend

Awesome main meals! The service was great and it was fantastic! Every dish that we had was great and it came out quick. This will definitely be added to our favourite restaurants. THANKYOU
The Taste Bud
Hey Griller is quite a small, cute, Asian style restaurant. The decor is pretty cool and the atmosphere was great. Staff were all very nice but considering the size, they weren't very attentive and it was hard to get their attention - I saw a lady with her hand up for 5 minutes, actually had to walk up and ask to be served. About 10 mins for drinks and 30 for food, not bad! Happy with the prices - mains all under $30. Drinks were pretty good, selection wasn't very big but there was a bit of everything. Food was nice and very creative - I loved the flames!
Party Spoon (Grace Coombs)
Great local, cheap, meat lovers heaven! Had the best experience at Hey Griller - the casual setting, affordable food and tasty food made for a great night out. The idea of a restaurant purely for meats/fish on the "grill" was just good fun. The skewers we're tasty and the steak was perfectly cooked. Loved my experience and will be back!

I came here with my sister. She ordered the lamb shank and I thought it is just an average dish. She insisted anyway. When we got it, it looked well presented and the test was not as same as I thought. We love it and I recommend it. By the way the green tea pannacotta is good as well. Overall I'm happy with this place and will definitely come back again next time I'm in town.

dilicious food, elegant environment, unique food styling, everything is perfect in this restaurant.it reminds me of my hometown, and the taste of western food.

We were curious about this new restaurant, went there on weekday night. The environment is really nice, staff are friendly. However the food portions are quite small for this price.

We made a reservation and our table got given away within 5 mins of us arriving. They prioritised the walk ins over reservation customers. Absolutely appalled by the customer service given out at this restaurant.

Nice, but I waited Wayy to long to got my orders, and I've waited over half an hour to 40min that day, and my kids are crying.... I was a bit disappointing on the service rly..

Most wonderful and helpful staff helped cater for our party of 25 people. The asian fusion restaurant provide a wonderful and delicious selection of food and drinks. Complements to the chef that provided a mouth-watering char grilled twice cooked pork belly has the most flavoursome sweet plum glaze and signature diah the flame iron was fulfilling and provide a great show for the table it was an amazing experience to watch!

Overall have a great and hardworking staff working at hey griller, who were also super nice and friendly would definetly recommend to large and small parties will be visiting again soon 😀🖒
Jay
amazing dinning experience I had the flaming steak and my wife had the crispy flaming pork, the steak was cooked until perfection, and the pork was nice and tender. The crispy pork skin was delicious. The wait staffs were very friendly, we will definitely come back again

Not a bad place. We ordered the seared scallops with gochujang chilli jam, edamame with mango tequila salsa; Pumpkin pops with mango aioli, rainbow salad in plum vinaigrette; and the pan grilled squid for entree. The scallops were delicious. Just the right amount of acidity. The pumpkin pops were ok. The grilled squid was tasty, was a little salty by the time we finished the dish. For mains we ordered the spiced chicken on bed of couscous, mesculine, and fried chickpeas with roasted capsicum sauce. The chicken was cooked perfectly, not dry and still moist. The char grilled lamb shank seasoned with northern chinese spices served with vegetables and a side of gravy. The lamb was tender and fell off the bones, the sauce was tasty. The twice cooked pork belly with plum chilli glaze, crunchy wonton pastry slaw and sweet potato chips. The pork was delicious and tender. Overall, quite a satisfactory dining. Would come back to try other dishes on the menu.

Fabulous menu! Very creative, although real foodies may say the meals dont really go together... but ita still a very good feed! Loved the pumpkin pops, the chilli prawns were not chilli, the sizzling firey fillet was amazingly cooked, the twice cooked pork belly was good but not great, the scallops were tasty and I will be going back!

This restaurant is fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the service was great. We were 15min earlier than it's open time but the waitress saw us and welcomed us in to take a seat and have a look at the menu and pretty quickly we were able to order. Food came out quick and at a good pace (I have a pet hate for things coming out all at once).
And the food was excellent! All sorts of interesting flavours and cooked to perfection (the scallops were soft, the chicken was moist, the lamb skewers were not at all chewy, the prawn toast was perfectly crunchy and the yam cake had a spongy delicate texture).
Definite must!

Whoow, totally surprised!! Food good and well prepared! Good ambience and interior really good. Can't fault this Restuarant and they were packed! Will be back !!

This place is a gem! The food was excellent and great value for money. I dined with a group of 9 and the two wait staff coped with us rowdy diners and all the other diners effortlessly.

What I liked about the food was that it was different to the normal 'grilled meat' selection you'd expect and was excellent value for money.

My steak was absolutely delicious, whilst my friends had pork belly, lamb shank and roast pork. Everyone was smitten with their food, which was well cooked with some really inventive accompaniments. The creamy sauce on my steak was devine. Drinks / cocktails were pretty darn delicious as well. $2.99 beer night on Thursdays is a great offer.

Disappointed there were only two options for dessert on the night, which fell flat with our group. Maybe Hey Griller could offer a specials board with more options. Just a suggestion !

Decor was cool, although a bit echoey.
Catch this place before you can't get a table. I know I'll be back!

We went on last friday, waited 20minutes for a table( we didnt make booking). Quite like the atmosphere, not too noisy. The food is above average, appreciate the chef make effort to make create the menu, not too boring yet not over killing. Food is nice, steak cooked to perfect. Just the service at the front is a bit too slow.

Went on a Thursday night and the restaurant was half full. Ordered the traditional skewers combo, the steak and the salmon. Waited along time for the skewers, which had the tiniest amount of meat for the price and the pork was entirely fat. Was then advised that they'd just run out of the steak, which was surprising for a half full restaurant. Waitress recommended the pork belly. The pork was dry and uninspiring, but the corn fritters which accompanied them were very tasty. The salmon didn't have a crispy skin, but was nice. Very expensive for what's on offer, slow service and apparently run out of their headline dish very quickly.

It was very quiet when we went on a Tuesday night, in fact we were the only diners there. The setting is relatively modern however they could do away with the concrete barren floors.

I ordered the scallop for entree and my partner ordered the beef salad. My scallops were tender and cooked well, partner's beef was very flavoursome.

I ordered the flaming pork belly for main, my partner wanted the flaming salmon but unfortunately they didn't have it, so he had the crispy salmon instead. My pork belly being set on fire made for some cool visuals and is not something I'd experienced before. It was a decent sized piece of pork and the crackling was crispy. My partner's salmon was cooked well.

Overall I enjoyed my meal and would come again.

We went for dinner with a small group, sharing a range of skewers, meats and small dishes. Everything was absolutely excellent! The skewers are hands down the best items on the menu, with a nice smokey flavour. The poke-ball desert was also pretty amazing!

Such quality food! Ordered the Singapore Chilli Prawns for entree, not spicy like I expected unless you ate a chilli with the prawn but it was still very delicious, prawns cooked perfectly.
For mains we had the Twice Cooked Pork Belly with slaw and sweet potato chips, and their signature Flaming Tenderloin. Beautiful tender and juicy pork, again the plum chilli glaze had no heat which I actually preferred, some may be disappointed but I thought it was scrumptious! Also really enjoyed the crunch of the wanton in the slaw, was a great extra something. But the stand out was the Flaming Tenderloin, we like ours medium rare and it was cooked to perfection! Love love loved it!
For dessert we had the Chocolate and Hazelnut Fudge with toasted marshmallow, was basically a chocolate mug cake but with the toasted marshmallow and silky ice cream it was a tasty dessert.
Loved our trip to Hey Griller, will definitely be back again.
Foodieperth
We ordered the lamb skewers, grilled salmon and the pulled beef salad. The salad was actually really good as the tender meat was smothered in BBQ sauce. The skewers were very flavoursome although were very chewy. The grilled salmon was perfectly cooked and the sweet potato cake was crispy and tasty.

For dessert I ordered the torched marshmallow and chocolate fudge with a scoop of creamy vanilla icecream. The fudge was beautiful and so dense! My favourite dessert in Perth🙂

Absolutely for the meat lovers :) whoah as a guy i enjoyed it very well, the only thing i would pick on is their beef tenderloin which i believe they could really do better by changing their suppliers . It was a matter of good raw ingredient and the kitchen did their best yet the ingredient failed them. Lamb skewers were great really brought back many memories of late night out in Shanghai, they soften the flavour to make it more Australian though still enjoy it! Must order the Pork belly flame on grill stone. just stick with Pork Belly here, good job in service too staff are well trained and very attentive. i purposely test them out by being difficult saying that their beer was flat and they replaced one for me :) shows integrity in this restaurant!

Found this place from Dimmi, and took my family here. We were all very pleased with the meal!! Every dish was delicious, even from something as simple as salad dressing , to Moroccan chicken which didn't just have normal chickpeas but roasted and crunchy chick peas which provided lovely texture to the meal! Agreed with other that the prawn toast was great, not like your typical cheap deep fried bread. RECOMMENDED!!! The venue is also newly renovated and funky!

$75 for 3 people.. Thanks to Dimmi
We had a tasting skewers combo.. Was amazing.. It's a must
2 Flaming tenderloin beef fillets
1 Crispy pork belly
They were all served with babies vegies
And 2 pokeballs for dessert.. The girls were quite excited.. And they were delicious

I wish they turned the music down a bit especially when a lot people in the room. All in all we were quite happy.

Went out for dinner after finding this little gem online and reading solid reviews. Very impressed by the venue to start, small but very nice. Started with some skewers which were very tasty, would personally recommend the lamb! For mains my table had a mixture of the beef, pork and salmon which were all presented beautifully particularly the flame show! They tasted just as good, the salmon was cooked to a treat, not to dry, I had my steak done medium and it was perfect, juicy and tender. The sides were also fantastic with fresh vegetable and potato dishes.

Our dinner party was very impressed with my choice! Had a very happy group of customers. Will definitely be returning.

Been there few times before, loved the food but menu was limited at that time. Heard that new menu just came out with more varieties, cant wait trying it. At the time we walked in, it was pretty much full house already. Still impressed with the good service, the staff there are just so nice and patient as always. Entree-we loved all the entrees, prawn toast is like a special for HG and a must try, the scallop and the chilli prawn were juicy and perfectly cooked. Peach salad is my personal favourite, with nice presentation and taste. We also had the skewers combo - I have to say, HG has the best best skewers! We only had two mains as we already ate too much, the flaming tender was amazing - tender and juicy with the homemade sauce and veggies, and the best part is the theatrics of the flame. The Salmon was also my favourite, I can even taste the freshness in the dish. Dessert- matcha puff and poached bear were just so great, I even taken away a serve of matcha puffs. We wanted to try the Pokemon dessert, but already sold out when we made the reservation. Will definitely get to try that next time! Hey griller is now one of my favourite restaurants and will come back for sure!
When I saw pictures from my friend who is a food blogger, i was so excited to try their signature flaming beef tenderloin. I came around 6:45pm. I would say 60% of the seats are occupied by customers. so I ordered my "the signature flaming beef tenderloin". when i came to my table I was a little dissapointed. It wasnt look like wat i saw online and from some other photos where the meat looks tender and juicy. Mine pretty much abit on the chewy side and small, it also lack of seasoning and a bit tasteless. I am very sad when one of the waitress came and asked me if she can clear the plates(its right after i finish my last bite of steak). then she asked me if i would like dessert but i replied no thanks. right after that moment, she asked me again if she can get the bill for me.then i feel like im being chased out from the restaurant right after i finish my meal. i saw a couple who was sotting behind of me. they came first and yet they havent got kicked out. so I feel annoyed and quickly pay my bill and walk out from the restaurant. i feel very dissapointed.

Decor is good and staff is friendly.

Instead of ordering an entree, ordered a main course - salmon to share for two. Really nice! Perfect.

Ordered flaming steak, excited when it arrived, tasted average when eating the steak. Could have a bit more taste or sauce. But the side salad is good.

Also have a lamb shank, tasted ok.

Disappointed for mini matcha puffs dessert, didn't taste much matcha inside puffs.

I've passed Hey Griller many times but have never tried it before. Came here on a Sunday night and the place was almost deserted (although a few large groups had reserved tables that came in after so that might explain it).

Loved the atmosphere and design, definitely date night atmosphere. Service was fast and the waitstaff were really friendly.

Only tried a few dishes as we weren't hungry. Had the tasting skewers which came with beef, chicken and pork skewers (I thought the beef tasted the best), pan fried squid (nicely cooked) and the crispy pork belly wrap (pretty much a delicious taco, just a little clumsy with the hoi sin sauce).

Overall, the food is delicious but a little pricey, would try it again.

Nice location, friendly service, but pretty quiet on a Thursday night. Very limited menu, so we tried a bit of each course. The Prawn Toast looked like a speciality for theirs - was nice, fresh and crispy. Then had 2 skewers each of the Pork and Lamb - saddened to find both were marinated with the same spices, was hoping they were different - flavour was good, just enough fats in the meat so it wasnt dry when grilled. Then we chose 4 mains - both the Flaming Iron and Tender, Salmon and Lamb Shank. The beef dishes were decent, tender meat cooked to more like medium, loved their trademark secret sauce and the side salad was pretty tasty and best of all - came with theatrics of pouring fire onto the meat. Lamb was cooked well, not too dry, but marinated in similar spices to the skewers - hope they change this. Salmon was done just right, and went well with the mash and sides. They are going to release a new menu soon, with many new items and removing some old items, so things will change here - which is exciting. Will come back to try new menu for sure.
Wintersolstice
Nice restaurant with a dark ambience. Friendly staff and fast service. Food was ok but quite pricey. Some of the meat were tougher than others and the meat on skewers were tiny even as an entree. Some theatrics with the flames.
Helen
Second time to have dinner here , as great as the first time, both the food and the services. Will come back again for sure! They very catered for my friend's gluten free orders; though the options were limited, their services are pleasant and genuine.

A group of foodies and I got invited to Hey Griller for dinner a few weeks ago. Hey Griller was recently opened in Victoria Park, serving modern Australian with a touch of Asian Fusion grill cuisine. . We started off with a selection of dishes from their Entrée and HGTM Skewers sections. The Prawn Toasts (4 pcs) topped with sautéed squid, garlic sauce and caviar drizzled with chilli oil came out first.

Went to this place on a Wednesday, the restaurant was unexpected quiet due to the week day. Quickly greeted and seated by the waitress, lovely service and the person who served us was full of positivity and energy.
The BBQ lamb skewers and chicken wings taste like authentic Chinese BBQ, the meat was tender and flavour was delicious. The Wagyu beef could almost melt in your mouth.
The wraps were also delicious, finished off the night with a little dessert, matcha puff was delicious and great texture and flavour.
Where they lost points:
• firstly I understand how BBQ is slowly cooked, however, each time the four of us was given 4-8 skewers ( we ordered 20+ ) and each time we'd wait for 5-10 minutes before the next batch. During our arrival and the time our order was placed, this placed had less than 3 tables seated, so this to me was a little slow
• the Wagyu beef had lovely texture however still lacked flavour
• the wraps were tiny in portion
• overall the place is lovely however, a little pricey.
Take Me To Foodie Heaven
A few weeks ago, I was invited to try Hey Griller with other Perth food bloggers. New to the food scene in Victoria Park, Hey Griller serving up Asian fusion food. It was a tough decision to decide what to order but in the end we had a bit of a taste of nearly each dish. We had some entrees to share. The lamb skewers came in as the favourite on the table. It’s deliciously tender, flavoursome and well seasoned.
THE ILLUSIVE FEMME
Simple, beautiful food cooked extremely well. Visited tonight for a late dinner and had a lovely evening. Staff were very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. There were a few specials for the evening, but me being me had already stalked the menu on the way to dinner and I knew what I wanted as soon as we got in. The menu is short and sweet, with different meat, proteins and fish on offer (from the grill of course) plus an extensive entree list. I went with the Salmon. Beautifully cooked it was perfectly pink and melt in your mouth soft. Served with cauliflower purée, crisp chargrilled cauliflower, fresh beetroot, snow peas and spinach, and sprinkled with crisp nuts and seeds, the dish was executed so well. It was a simple meal, but the flavours and textures worked so well together and the perfectly cooked fish was the star. E ordered the Chicken, cooked in a spice rub mix and served with chickpeas and couscous and finished with a red capsicum sauce. Of course I had to sneak a bite of the chicken and the spice combo was insanely good. I'd like the recipe please! The prices were very good too, and our total was only $60 for dinner and a few soft drinks. We'll be back for sure as I want to try the meat skewers next!

Oh wow! What a great place. The service here was friendly and fast thanks to great front of house staff and a battery of chefs! Menu choices are extensive and make choosing hard. We had chicken in a potato crust, lamb skewers and a peach and rocket salad with pistachios for starters. Washed down with a WA SB that was well priced despite being off the menu (no byo here). He had the flaming beef cheeks and I had the lamb shank with mash. The flaming is a great show stopper! Dessert was a shared hazelnut pudding with marshmallow topping. Not a complaint to be had. Well done to this new place. You should go!
Inexology
Hey Griller offers a good variety of different dishes for their main course. They have salad or grilled vegetables, beef, lamb, chicken and fish listed as well. I knew right away that I had to order the Flame Tender HG especially after seeing some photos of the flaming steak on Instagram. TIPS: The staff said that we could swap the tenderloin with wagyu beef so me and some other people swapped it right away. It was very tender and even though the menu said that the meat will be cooked medium to medium well, my steak came cooked in medium rare (yay!).

The best dessert of the night was the chocolate and hazelnut fudge which enveloped everyone who tried it in warmth. This dessert was served in a ceramic cup where choc and hazelnut fudge were mixed together with torched marshmallows, finished with a dollop of vanilla ice cream on top. This will go very well especially as the weather gets colder.

Unfortunately for me, it wasn’t the dessert that I ordered…

A new restaurant has hit the Albany Highway strip in Vic Park. Hey Griller serves up some tasty and interesting Asian fusion food. I headed along to a bloggers dinner at Hey Griller last month. I am always keen to try a new spot and till I received an invite from Hey Griller, I hadn’t heard of them. I don’t visit Vic Park very often and they’d completely flown under my radar. We were treated to an epic three course dinner, share plates for entrée, then my choice of main and dessert. There was so. much. food. Here’s my best dish picks from the night…

A few weeks ago, I was invited, along with a group of other food bloggers to try out this newly opened restaurant, Hey Griler in Vic Park.

We tried a variety of dishes and shared it within our table. Below are dishes we got to try:

Lamb shoulder skewers - these were seasoned with special herbs and spices. This had an overpowering fragrant that smelt just as good as it looks! The lamb itself was lean, tender and very flavoursome.

Pan grilled squid - these were tender and the sauce was very tasty - a salty/xo-type flavour.

Prawn Toast - topped with sauteed squid, garlic sauce and caviar drizzled with chilli oil. I must say, these were the fanciest prawn toast I’ve had! Crunchy and tasty.

Chicken Wing on Skewers - one of my favourite dishes of the night! These were brushed with a special marinate of herbs & spices. The chicken was tender, smokey and had so much flavour. They were however interesting to eat as they were served on skewers but the trick to easily eat these was to pull them off the skewers! :p

Flamed Wagyu Beef Tenderloin - I didn’t order this, but I wished I had! I got to try a few pieces however and loved it! This was an absolute highlight as the meat was lighted up by the waiter and your dish is pretty much on fire! This was cooked medium rare, accompanied with seasonal veggies, roasted potatoes and house made flaming sauce. The beef was very tender and juicy.

Lamb Shank - this was served with mashed potatoes and veggies. The lamb serving was very meaty, tender, and had a smokey flavour.

Grilled Watermelon - this was served with vanilla ice-cream and in-house made lime sorbet. Not a super sweet dessert. The sorbet was very refreshing with a citrusy flavour. Watermelon was warm and juicy and the candied toffee worked well to provide sweetness. Make sure you get some when eating the watermelon otherwise there isn’t much sweetness to the dish.

Matcha Puff - Green tea infused cream puff filled with custard and served with a scoop of lime sorbet. This was tasty but for me, I felt that the green tea needed to be stronger.

Chocolate and Hazelnut Fudge - served in a cup topped with torched marshmallows and scoop of ice-cream. I can’t believe we almost missed out on this! We saw the other food blogger table order it and decided to order one too. Considering how full I was and not normally a huge chocolate dessert fan, I loved this! Fudge was just right, not too sweet and ice-cream balanced out the dish.

Overall, I had a very enjoyable night at Hey Griller. The food was great with friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place to dine in Vic Park!

Entrée: Love the prawn toast! So yummy!
Skewers: Love the chicken wings best! Lamb was good too. Squid was perfectly cooked. Pork was decent.
Main: the Flame Tender HG was excellent!
Desserts: OMG the chocolate and hazelnut fudge was out of this world! Perfect ending! Matcha puff was, however, underwhelming. The puff was too densed and the taste was somewhat bland.
Service: Excellent!
Savour The Moment Perth
We attended Hey Griller as guests of theirs for a wonderful night of food!! We loved the accommodating and friendly service!

Some of our favourite dishes included the pan fried squid, which was perfectly cooked and came with a delightfully tangy sauce, and the pork skewers. The pork was so tender, sizzling off the metal skewers, seasoned with fragrant herbs and spices. The chicken karima was also fascinating, similar to devouring a deep fried crumbed chicken toastie. For mains we had the lamb shank, with meat that fell straight off the bone and was also seasoned similarly to the skewers, which came served with carrots, greens and mashed potato. I also was very impressed by the serving size, which was very generous. We also had a sampler of the flamed tenderloin, which was cooked a beautiful medium rare.

For dessert, the matcha puff was an exotic treat, similar to eating a matcha green tea Hong Kong style pineapple bun, filled with green tea custard. We adored the decadent chocolate hazelnut fudge which came with a torched marshmallow.

A thoroughly enjoyable night with some fantastic food!! Highly recommended! Thank you for a wonderful night Hey Griller 😄.

A new restaurant to hit the Vic Park area serving up Asian fusion cuisine. This place serves up some amazing entrees and mains and desserts.

We had received an invitation along with other foodie bloggers to try this new place and we didn’t know what to expect. We had ordered some lamb skewers, pork skewers, squid, chicken karima, mini pork & lamb wraps for entreé - which we delicious. The lamb skewers were the stand out, just the flavours were spot on and it was so tender.

For mains we had the flaming wagyu tenderloin and the barramundi dish. When the flaming tenderloin came out everyone was like ‘wow” very theatrical experience. The barramundi was delicious and was served with mashed potato and a salted egg salsa.

When it was time for desserts we were all full but hey lets be honest there’s always room for dessert. We had the chocolate and hazelnut fudge which had to be the best dessert of the night and also had the matcha puff.

Such a great venue and the staff were amazing and very friendly. Will definitely be back again :)

Amazing experience in hey Griller, one of the best restaurant I have ever had! Excellent service and excellent food! Highly recommended! Brilliant night and will be back again soon!

Crispy Pork Mini Wrap was ok but wasn't spectacular.
Chicken Karima like Toastie was extra ordinary.
Lamb Skewers taste like authentic Tibetian taste, very tasty.
Flame Iron was great, very tender, and they even light it on fire!!!!!
Macha Puff with lime sorbet goes very well.
Service was excellent. Highly recommended!

A new addition to vic park, but different from all the usual restaurants there! Came in for a rare date night and felt so welcome! The service was great and efficient! The food is gorgeous. We ordered pork and lamb skewers, which came out nice and quick. They call them their speciality and I see why! We then went on to have the lamb shank and flame iron. Delicious! I wasn't expecting the steak to be set on fire haha! I would say the portions are a tiny bit small for the price maybe, but the taste makes up for it :) We eventually went on to share the macha puff, I wasn't expecting to like it that much but it's their most popular desert, so I gave it a go. Absolutely loved it, it's a weird infusion of custard and green tea in a pastry puff that somehow tastes gorgeous! :) we left very happy and full! :)

Very good food and excellent service, grilled squid and flame beef are excellent. A very enjoyable experience and will definitely be back again.

Hey Griller was newly opened in Vic park. It is a modern Australian fusion grill cuisine. Their skewers were so delicious which remind me of what I have had in my hometown. Flame tender HG was stunning with tenderloin beef on fire🔥! And the barramundi was delicious, that fish skin was so crispy. We also like their grilled watermelons with homemade lime sorbet.

All of the dishes we tried were on points and delicious. I can't wait to recommend this restaurant to all of my friends! Will surely come back very soon!
The Perth Brunch Blonde
Cosy new restaurant in Victoria Park - loved the interior and the finishings. It has only opened for about a week and the restaurant owner said they are still getting ready for a proper launch. I reckon they're doing pretty well for their first few nights of trade. It was quite busy on the Saturday night that we went. Service was a little slow but I guess they're still fine tuning the details. Food was great. The Prawn Toast was a must-have for me. SO GOOD. Also try their Flame Iron or Flame Tender for interesting theatrics and good steak. I consider it's definitely worth visiting again further down the track :)

The flame lamb is must try. We also had the lamb shank And the meat was cooked perfectly. The skewers have a very authentic Asian flavour.
Sheng Yi Xing Long.
