Awesome food great price and really decent portion size . Great job guys
Came for Taco Tuesday, will be coming back for Taco's errrrryday. Top service, great vibe AND coriander-free Mexican food!
Best Mexican hands down. Great vibe. Great staff.
Amazing service, Top quality food, Great prices and deals.. what more could you want?
The guys running the place are absolute legends.. They always put up with my drunken requests for the mighty Carolina reaper hot sauce.
Looking forward to my next visit.
Massive respects.
I eat here every Tuesday! (1/2 priced Tacos) Excellent food!!
Had 'The Burrito' here. You can taste the freshness in the ingredients and the flavours are very authentic. Will definitely come back.
Everything good, I just wish they were open today :'(
On the way to the cricket we wandering in here for a quick bite to eat. We both had quesadillas, one beef and one chicken. We chose one as a meal with chips and drink. They were served fresh, hot and tasty by the cheery staff, in time for us to jump on the event bus straight to the stadium.
The best quesadillas in Perth! The potato chips are also delicious and are seasoned with mexican spices. Always friendly and prompt service too.
We attended Two Gringos on a Tuesday night, taking advabtage of the $3 taco Tuesday. I was a bit skeptical about the tacos after reading other reviews. I was pleasantly surprised, with all the tacos we ordered having a good amount of flavour and meat/fillings. We ordered 2 or each, being beef, chciken and vegetarian (All soft shell). All were great and will definately be back for taco Tuesday. Seeing as it is byo, it could be a nice cheap night out for those on a budget.
Had two types of tacos, Fish and Chicken Strip, and both tasted yum! Really enjoyed the crunch and flavours in the fish tacos in particular.
Also had two types of quesadillas, Triple Cheese and Beef. The Triple Cheese was a crowd winner, with the warm, gooey cheese deliciously oozing from the quesadilla with every bite.
Enjoyed the Fristas Magicas, but not the Squid Burrito. The squid had a soggy coating and was a bit rubbery.
Nachos are decent, but we were missing guacamole. We weren't aware we had to order it separately until we realised it was missing from our dish.
Service was warm and friendly. Staff was very accomodating. Portion sizes are pretty generous too. Good place for a fast food Mexican meal.
Very friendly, the food is good and fresh, a little pricey for what you get but consistent quality. I have tried a few of their burrito and find them quite tasty.
Oh what a treat! We had chicken quesadillas and beef burrito bowl for dinner. The portion is very generous and the taste is so fresh and perfectly balanced. One of the good fast food Mexican food around the area I reckoned. Will definitely come back for more. Perfect meal for summer for sure!
My daughter wanted to have burrito so we went to this little restaurant which is just outside our house. She had a steak burrito and absolutely enjoyed it. I had a burrito bowl with steak and it was so good. The beef was really tender and the sauce was so tasty (wish I had the hot sauce but couldn't since I was sharing with my younger daughter). Tacos were a bargain for only 3 dollars each on Tuesday!
I visited for the Two Gringos for a ‘Befriend’ event and it was a lovely evening.
The food was good and tasty while being not too expensive.
The staff were friendly and accommodating.
Thank you
Awesome serving size. Great value compared to similar restaurants. Vegan option was so full of flavour and had a great heat to it. Very happy and very full :) Love the $3 tacos on a Tuesday too.
Sweet little find! Can't believe I've never tried this place before. Great food, customer service was nice. Would definitely return with plenty of friends, as I believe more people need to know about this place. I promise you won't be disappointed!
Went here for lunch on a Groupon voucher. Had a burrito and a burrito bowl, both in meals. The food was lovely and fresh and flavoursome! And sooooo much food too! We couldn't finish it and took it away as takeaway. We shall be back!
My partner had a craving for fish tacos...pregnant ??? Who knows.
Anyway, after some extensive googling we settled on the nearby "two gringos" restaurant.
Its not a traditional restaurant, more of a fancy fast food set up ... nice none the less.
The food was spot on, the fish tacos were in a soft tortilla, nice piece of crispy battered fish, sauce and heaps of Mexican stuff inside...just what the craving required.
I had the beef burrito, which was full of Mexican goodness and a good whack of heat.
The prices were very reasonable, 35 for both of us which included the main, chips and a drink.
Great spot for a quick bite
Great night out with the family. Really value for money. It's not often you can go out with a family of 4 and send less and $60. Thanks guys.
Tried this place after walking past it a few weeks back and seeing some joke about trump, turns out marketing works as it was the only place we could think of when me and my partner wanted to try something new.The sauces were tangy and actually had a bit of kick in them, which is not something you find in most places around Perth. Food was pretty well priced, weirdly enough actually cheaper than the franchise alternative (Zambrero). The ingredients felt a lot more fresh as you would expect. Dude serving us was ridiculously nice and very happy to walk us through the menu. Wanted to give it a 4 but my partner yelled at me until I gave it a 4.5 just because of the service.
Didn't get to try some of the more interesting stuff on the menu (jalapeno poppers), but the tacos and burritos were good. With shared chips and a drink the total came to about $35 for me and my partner. Filled us both up for the night. Would recommend if you're in Vic Park and craving Mexican food.
Came up with Scoopon couple montsh ago and from that time we have been coming back regularly.Despite we don't live in the area, we always go there on Friday after work to grab delicious burrito and burrito bowl.I love their vegetarian burrito bowl. This one of few places which serves decent vegetarian meal full of vegies, beans and rice. My husband loves their chicken burrito. Great food and service. The guy behind the counter is very friendly and makes you feel like at home. In my opinion, they portions are pretty big and prices are reasonable. Very good value. I love the interior as well, since they started, they've done a few changes so they are developing and that's good.Forgot to mention their great chips- because of mix of spices they use, they are really delicious, a little spicy and different than others but perfect! It looks like family business and I like it, I prefer it that way than big branches.
We will be coming back to support this local business because the food is always fresh and feels you up and staff is extremely friendly!
Been having the burritos and chips here since they opened. Probably the best Mexican place and cafes on the the Vic Park strip. The owner is an awesome dude who is aways up for a chat and takes suggestions/ gives freebies if he is making anything new. I highly recommend this place - you will come back for more!
Recommend the new Oreo Churros they are kills!
Taste sensations galore!!! Burritos packed full & bursting with flavour; Beef Nachos are 'to-die-for', tender pieces of beef mixed with the right balance of Mexican staples (black beans, homemade sauce, guacamole etc.); and Quesadillas, yum, yum, yum!!! But, the biggest surprise was the dessert 'Apple Pie Nachos' what a taste-explosion!!! A unique mix of apple, choc sauce & cinnamon coated chips, with a dollop of vanilla ice-cream; try it, you wont be disappointed!!! Overall, service top-notch, decor gorgeous and great value for money!
An amazing little gem in Vic park. The food was overall good quality and tasted amazing and the staff were very friendly and chatty. The best part was the sauce selection. They have four sauces. A low heat, mild heat and a hot one. They also have an extra one labelled 'ring of fire'. We and my dad both ordered this and the guy told us we shouldn't, as it would be too hot. We ordered in in confidence, both being very experienced with extremely hot food of the Thai, Indonesian and Indian variety. I cant count the number of times that someone has told me something was too hot on both hands. Its never true. This was an exception. It was hot and amazing. I couldn't finish it and my dad, who grew up with a dad who stayed in Asia in the navy and was an A grade Thai cook (who didn't hold back on the heat), admitted it was the hottest thing he was ever eaten. We ended up spending more on drinks on the actual meal.
Good food, friendly service, serious heat. Would recommend and am definitely going there again :)
Came here on a Scoopon. What a find and so well priced. So delicious & chips are yummy. Our whole family enjoyed it. Will definitely be back. For Mexican it's top notch.
Pretty tasty first visit, and I'm pleased to have found a local place where you can get a sauce that is actually spicy if you want it. (the "Ring of Fire" sauce is no joke! But it's not ridiculous either if you're ok with very spicy food). We shared a couple of burritos with chips today using some Scoopons, but after that promising first impression I'll definitely be back to try some of their other options. [Edited the next day to add] I can confirm that Ring of Fire is an appropriately-named sauce.
Such a cool little Mexican restaurant in Vic Park! Visited today for lunch and fell in love with the interiors as soon as we got in. A lot of Mexican restaurants are over the top with their decorating, but Two Gringo's is minimal with pops of Mexican flair. The menu is short and sweet with all the classics. We ordered a Guacmole, Salsa and Chips to start and the Salsa was insane! Made from the owners family recipe, it was slightly sweet and so rich and lovely! I could have licked the bowl. The Guacamole was fresh and zesty and chunky just the way it should be. For my mains I ordered the Taco Trio. The flour tortillas were very traditional and floury, unlike the fake rubbish I've had at other places. The fish taco was my favourite of the three, the fish was melting in my mouth. So good! The nachos were fresh, crispy and packed with all the great extras, including the salsa. Loved them. Also tried the quesadilla which was gooey and beautiful with loads of rich cheese and beautifully cooked chicken. We will be back for sure!
If you like chilli and burritos.. This is the place for you. Tucked away at the city side of Albany Hwy (near Chin Grish and Dutch Trading Co) is this spot that sells burritos and buritto bowls. Love the fact they include rice and beans. You hey a choice of sauce that includes mild, hot, and 'ring of fire'. They had corn chips and the sauces at the counter to sample before you ordered. I thought the hot was too hot so I can't imagine what the ring of fire would feel like (maybe i don't want to know). Flavours were good but there wasn't much meat.
Came across this place when I was searching for a burrito close to home. Had the steak burrito with guacamole and hot sauce (made in house) in a meal. Everything was fresh and the chips had a gnarly seasoning. Hard to fault, the new local for a burrito. Prices were also really good. $9 for burrito, $14 in a meal.
Two Gringos serves up a much healthier, fresher, larger burrito than the major franchises do. Good value too. Best quick eat in Vic Park by far!
Simply brilliant! Gotta try the poppers. I keep going back as the sauces and meat are full of flavours. Awesome decor in the restaurant. Love it!!!
Came in today for lunch. Wow what burrito!! So flavourful and the service was great. Will be back again for sure and tell people I know about this gem. Thanks again.
Really fresh, healthy, tastey food. Love this place. Great salads, salsas and the beef is unreal. A nice surprise after experiencing so many mediocre mexican fast food outlets. Yet another great food place in Victoria Park.
The food here is amazing. Being a new shop on the block I was interested in his story and asked a lot of questions. The ingredients are fresh and sourced locally and the meats are cooked to perfection over the grill. The sauces and spices are made in house and are delicious. The standard rice used in his dishes is organic brown rice - an ingredient that would be advertised as an extra and a super food from competing Mexican restaurants. To top it all off the services is great, the food is of great quality and the prices are the cheapest you'll find in Perth! Do yourself a favour and eat a meal here. You'll have your loyalty card filled out in no time!
I was curious to try Two Gringos since it appears to be an independent restaurant and pretty much every other Mexican place around Perth is an overpriced chain.
All the main dishes are $9 which is fantastic value. I chose a burrito bowl - good portion size, lots of flavour and fresh ingredients. I was really impressed, this has to be the best value Mexican in Perth. Oh, and the staff were pleasant as well. But honestly they could have been surly and it would still be worthwhile!
Great takeaway style mexican. Really good flavour and friendly locally run style. Felt a lot more authentic than the big mexican chains. They use a home made salsa with no preservatives, very different to the standard take away mexican.
Ordered the Steak burrito bowl with leve sauce (mild) for take away. Was very yummy with lots of flavour and tasted fresh. I was able to try the sauce before I chose, all sauces are made in store. The gentleman working was very knowledgeable and the dining area is really funky. Welcome to VP Gringos, I'll be back to try the tacos !
Lovely little place. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Lunch service was quick and with a smile.
Chipotle mayonnaise was tasty but not remotely spicy to me. I'll have to try a hotter one next time!
My friend says the fish tacos are the best he's ever had. That's high praise from him.
Most Authentic Mexican food you can find in Perth. Walking into this restaurant, you feel like you are in Mexico with the ambience to the food to the owners that serves up awesome legit Mexican food. Service & food is consistently great. Only thing missing on the menu is Margherita to accompany the lovely flavours 😊
Food was tasty and inexpensive.
Took a bit of time, but there was Jenga to play, so I was fine with that.
Small shop, but it was cosy rather than cramped.
Enjoyed the meal, and wasn't disappointed with price.
Very nice but no beers on the menu. Can't go wrong with a crispy fish burrito
Very good burritos. There is a vegan option for burritos, quesidillas, etc.. you can also take away. And you can choose very different level of spiciness.
Lobe this place. I go often for their $3 taco Tuesday deals.
