Review Yummy House Chinese Restaurant - Victoria Park

Never ordering again, firstly price doesn’t match the quality! fried rice was the whitest fried rice I’ve ever eaten no soya sauce, nothing but small bits of ham and tiny pieces of prawns cut up to make it look like more Had Pork chops x2 they were pieces cut up which is fine but should be advertised as such and the batter so oily they almost slipped out of my hands.. Overall very unsatisfactory food for $90

The food was really nice. Definitely not the right portion though. I paid $10 for steamed rice and a tiny bit of szechuan.

Came here for dinner. Free prawn crackers served once we sat down. The staff were very friendly, the owner chat with us and other customers as well. Food was pretty nice. Ordered dim sums like siu mai, sponge cake and raddish cake. Even though the dim sums didnt look similar to those in Hong Kong, but they still tasted very nice, except for the siu mai (It was okay, not really bad) Also ordered chicken with cashews, tasted very nice as well, the portion was big enough for two people. Food was served quite quickly, the environment wasnt noisy. Quite reasonable price I think. Had very good experience here.

Very solid Cantonese-style Chinese restaurant. You can't really go wrong with ordering rice and sides or fried rice/noodle dishes. Our favorites include: beef brisket claypot, salt and pepper squid, violin (pei pa) tofu, fried noodles with shredded duck and gravy.
Josh Christie
Over priced and under value lemon chicken, a few ratty pieces of deep fried chicken and a small fairly bland lemon sauce. Won't be ordering anything from here again.
Tegan Reder
I honestly can’t fault this restaurant. The food is delicious and the servings are generous without being overwhelming. The staff are always polite and consistantly deliver a high level of customer service. If your looking for a quick, tasty lunch, then yummy house is the place to go.
Ryan
Mongolian sauce tastes like paste from a jar. Dumplings taste bland, or weird and not the right type of dumplings advertised. “Pan fried Shanghai dumpling” more like generic Japanese gyoza.
Rendall Wong
Great and very tasty food! Portions aren’t on the large side, but enough to get your tummy full! Hardworking boss as well - got in at 9.25pm and was more than happy to receive us! Food was so tasty that we cleaned out our plates!

Such a great little place. We had yum cha and we were greeted with a friendly smile and warm welcome. Food great. great service what more could you ask for.

This was pretty much what I expected, but I&#039;d definitely eat there again. The lady on the phone was lovely when I called up to correct an UberEats address, and even threw in some free spring rolls #Winning.&nbsp;<br/><br/>I got Wonton soup along with Honey Prawns and a small fried rice. Everything ticked all the right boxes without being earth shattering.&nbsp;<br/><br/>Recommended.

BAD LUNCH TIME TAKE AWAY<br/><br/>There are plenty of Asian restaurants close by, do NOT choose this one.<br/><br/>We ordered:<br/><br/>BLACK BEAN BEEF & STEAMED RICE.<br/><br/>It came with the container nearly full of steamed rice and a few pieces of beef and a few black beans on the top, no sauce. <br/><br/>COMBINATION NOODLES (Chicken, BBQ Pork, Prawns and Squid) Crispy noodle with sauce.<br/><br/>It came with the container full of thin noodles with a few morsels of Chicken, BBQ Pork, Prawns and Squid on the top.<br/><br/>We paid over $26.00 for a container of steamed rice and a container of noodles.<br/><br/>This was ordered by telephone with 45 minutes notice. We had to wait 15 minutes beyond the ordered time for the food.<br/><br/>Would NOT recommend or go again.

Great comfort Dim Sum food. Has been a regular for take away chinese, however whenever i dine in the service is amazing. The Steamed Prawn Dumplings are juicy and bursting with flavour. Perfect for this Winter weather.
Elizabeth Divya Jose
The food here I’ve always found full of flavour and quite tasty however their cleanliness isn’t up to par. The last time I went there there was a cockroach running around the floor. Please invest in a visit from the pest control!!

I really don't like this place, the food I bought for take away was very overpriced for the quantity, and after half a day the rice started to smell terrible, the king prawn was very sweet and not at all what I was expecting from other Chinese restaurants dishes. I won't go back ever.
Shameem
Our favourite go-to for a straightforward Chinese eat-out in Victoria Park. They have decent dim sum, and I go there to get my fish porridge fish on a winter's night.
Ilovefoodyummyyummy
Place so so but food consider not too bad. Been there awhile now might go back and check out for more yummy food. But the lady boss looks fierce. Staff not as friendly
Jacqui Keenan
Ordered stir fried radish, pan fried radish cake, chilli mussel and pork and prawn dumplings. <br/>The ONLY edible part was the sauce I dipped bread in. I'm not even a picky eater but this was 100% inedible. May as well of just thrown my money away. Everything had to go in the bin as it all tasted off.

Dim sum at night? If you are craving dim sum, this place is an easy option with a host of choices. Others sampled the general menu which was also good, with the satay lamb being the favourite choice. There's a small corkage for byo wine but they do have a full bar.

I've been here a few times and have always had nice meals and really friendly service. <br/>My favourite local Chinese restaurant.<br/>Great that it's licensed too.

We used to call this place Hair House due to the 2 lots of takeaway received with hair in it. That was about 4 years ago. About a year ago we'd heard there'd been an improvement and it became our regular Chinese takeaway. Its not the best in Vic Park but is now hairless at least.

The restaurant was not busy and we waited a long time for our food and they managed to not only get both dishes wrong they actually argued with me over what I ordered. <br/>When the correct dishes finally came they where quite tasty. I would not recommend this restaurant simply on the fact that the service was well below par.

Dim Sum made to order & serves very hot with steam, very impressed. Fried noodles, fried Ho Fun and fried rice was tasty and really had the "wok kick". Warm hospitality.
Kudokun
DECENT chinese restaurant in vicpark that offers quite a range of food including both rice/noodle meals, yumcha for both lunch and dinner, chinese dessert and even bubble tea! That being said, their choices of yumcha is not as extensive compared to other yumcha restaurant.<br/><br/>Came here with my folks at around 11.15 when the stored open at 11am. There was not many customers but we had to wait quiet a while for the food to come. We ordered some yumcha, noodle and porridge. Overall it was not that bad but a bit pricey. Plain porridge at $7.80 is a bit expensive. It tasted okay though. 2 salted egg yolk bun at $7.50, plus the bun was dry and the yolk was not really melting and runny. Their siomay tasted allright.
MSG Foodie
Chicken vinegar is my favourite dish in this restaurant and I think it's one of the best in Perth. Somehow they do it so good...! They are happy to give you more vinegar as well. However I find the quantity is getting less these days...but their food is generally great and the owners are so friendly.
Annepandayanda
Ordered Japanese tofu with mince sauce, chilli king prawns, ribs. Only the tofu was good. The prawns were some of the worst I have ever had. They were deep fried but the batter was not cooked long enough so the batter was pasty and gluggy - even picking the prawns out from inside was hardly worth it. The ribs were edible but nothing special. The tofu and accompanying sauce was very tasty thankfully.

Came here for lunch It's the second time here first time for lunch. It's a big place nice decor and great service. I ordered BBQ pork Buns and fried rice with roast duck. The pork buns were yummy the roast duck was well seasoned and the skin was nice and crispy and fried rice was yummy. I would definitely come back here all that with a lemon limes and bitter for $25 good value.

T8wy April 2016:<br/>1. SiuMay, 3/5. Just OK<br/>2. Prawn Dumplings, 3/5. Just OK.<br/>3. Steamed Shanghai Dumplings, 3/5. Just OK.<br/>4. Peking Pork Ribs, 3/5. Just OK.<br/>

Service was slow. Ordered our dishes at the start and came out one by one. Would eat one dish, wait a while for the next, same thing happen again. We ordered 7 dishes all up between 2 of us and we were still hungry. Dim sum sizes were teeny and you only get 3 pieces at $6.90 a serve! Not worth it in my opinion. We only came here because Emma's was closed. Won't be back. It wasnt horrible tasting, but could be much much better. <br/>Mediocre food with mediocre service .. expect more for the price tag! Oh! And the tea was lukewarm. Dissapointing.

Lovely, friendly and attentive staff. Food is on the curve of average to good, depending on the dish. Relatively good prices. Great Dim Sum and Steam buns!

Lemon Chicken is my favourite Chinese dish.  Not very authentic I know but yummy all the same.  JR and I have lived in South Perth for nearly 5 years now and haven't found a nice Chinese take-away.  We almost gave up looking when one night almost by accident we found Yummy House. We have only ever had take-away and when we have been to pick up our food the restaurant has always been pretty empty.Being creatures of habit we ordered: Lemon Chicken and Satay Beef with steamed rice. The Lemon Chicken is crispy and a serving is 2 chicken breast halves deep fried in batter and then cut into slices.  The packet comes with little air holes so that the chicken doesn't get soggy and the lemon sauce is in a separate container for the same reason.. yummy :)The Satay Beef is delicious.  I don't usually choose satay as I find it quite often takes like peanut butter. Yummy House's Satay Beef though is so tender, with a lovely spiciness.  I had to wait less that two minutes for my order and the gentleman that served me offered me water or cool drink.  A very nice touch, especially with the hot weather we have been having in Perth.

Came here for a family Christmas lunch feast! We ordered about 10 dishes. Service was average. The interior was nice and there was air con which was good. Didn't like the plastic cups though. The food was tasty and enjoyable except for one dish called beef sizzling steak. It did not taste like steak as the meat was rubbery. The dishes were quite expensive. However they have re-done their menu since the last time I came and they cook a large range of dishes to suit everyone. They even sell bubble tea.

I wanted to try a different dim sum joint since we usually go to Emma's Seafood down in East Vic Park. I think the quality of the dim sum is comparable, but the restaurant itself is a bit crowded with furniture so the carts with the dim sum didn't come around as often as I would have liked. I ordered my usual dim sum picks - har kao, shu mai, xiao long bao, salt and pepper squid, spare ribs, BBQ pork steamed buns, a few other dumplings, and I was pleased with how everything tasted (I don't speak Chinese so pardon my spelling of the food names!). They also do regular Chinese food, and my friend who was not as impressed with the dim sum ordered a BBQ pork/roast duck rice combination.

Strolling around Vic Park for shopping, we found this place. Relatively empty for a Saturday lunch time..which sometimes is what you are after if after a quiet lunch/dinner. <br/>'Yummy House Chinese' is very well decorated when compared to your regular chinese restaurants. The upholstery, tables, furnitures very well presented. However I was not at all impressed with plastic glasses as well as some of the serving plates as plastics. It really puts me off unless I am having street-food. <br/>We ordered - 'Prawn & Pork Dumplings', 'Singapore fried noodles' & 'Schezwan Chicken and fried rice'. The food was very average and singapore noodles has that yellow curry powder which makes is very unappealing. Portions are fine but I was expecting a bit better in terms of food. <br/>My be they are good for buffet dinner as what numerous cards displayed inside claims. Has a good selection of dumplings and steamed dishes. <br/>Definitely worth a try..!!

It was date night and we were looking to try somewhere different. Monday night in Vic Park and we've been to most places. Yummy House let's give it a go, the decor was a little odd, we almost didn't go in, glad we did. The prices were reasonable considering the serving sizes and we both enjoyed our choices. Service was good, perhaps hovering a little too much. Only real complaint .... the music ... I'm sure it was the same song playing over and over and over. I would go back, would like to try there banquet if I'm hungry enough.
Sweetiara
Very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable price and tasty food. The steam shai hai dumplings are really yummy. We will definitely come back again.
Perth Critic
Food tasted ok, however quite expensive. Service was good! Deco a bit weird with colourful pom pom stuff hanging off the ceiling and restaurant's lights very bright.
Zoodle
Yummy...as the name suggests. Really tasty food and attentive service. Specially recommend their soups. We ordered 3 different soups and all of them were delicious. Szechuan chicken was a tad too sweet for my liking - would have preferred if it was more hot than sweet.

This place is a little gem. I've been ordering delivery occasionally for a couple of years, but only today went to the restaurant.<br/><br/>My mother and I ordered five dim sum dishes, all delicious, with some tea. 34 bucks. THIRTY FOUR BUCKS. We were absolutely satisfied with both the food and the service. The girls serving were exactly the right amount of attentive, without being overbearing (which I find quite common with dim sums).<br/><br/>Will be back for sure.

Good alternative. We always go to Emma's but have been disappointed with the service the last couple of times and it seems the prices are creeping up. So we gave yummy house a try and were impressed overall. Everything was very fresh (a little slow though) and the food overall was good. Simply, we would go back for sure.

Good Experience good food and very accomodating to us and our children

Absolutely terrible!. Was waiting for ages for two dim sum dishes and one never came! Don't go!!!

An amazing find. Wasn't the place we were intending to eat at but so glad we did. Super friendly service, awesome food and great prices. Will definitely go back for more.

Two words - Love it! We rou.... Two words - Love it!<br/>We routinely travel from NOR to dine here (yep worth the drive).<br/>Owner lady very friendly, relatively quiet setting with touch of class - have brought numerous work friends here also.<br/><br/>Highly recommended: vinegarette chilli chicken, kwey teow, egg plant and mince claypot!
BushTuckerTrial
Total waste of money. Just waited far too long for an overpriced takeaway. 2 dishes were wrong. 80% of it went in the garbage. Yet another bad Chinese meal in Perth.
Stella.rose.petal
Unachivied expectation. Me and my friend, aren't very fussy eaters but the meal we had tonight was extremely mediocre after paying the total of $51.12 we thought we were going to receive a meal of culinary excellence we ordered the honey chicken which was mushy and had no flavour and the Peking duck which turned out was even worst that KFC. The sauces were terrible and were to sweet or simply flavourless. The service was quite good but I highly recommend you do not come here as they will overcharge you and not meet even the lowest of expectations
Nae
Delicious and Great Service. Went here for lunch yesterday. I've had yum cha before and this was even better! The pork buns were my favourite, not as good as the Atrium's (of course) but still really good. We were seated and served straight away and within 2 minutes of sitting they brought around the trolley of steaming hot food! Yum!

I Love Their Dim Sum and Have Always Had Great Friendly Service. A favourite lunch time haunt for me and my girlfriends yummy dim sum and friendly service in a bright welcoming restaurant YUM YUM
Brooke.kiara.olsen
Absolute shocker, didn't even get to try the food. Walked out after 15 mins sitting at a table being completely ignored, not even offered water. The place wasn't even half full!<br/>Saturday night, 2 waiters on, one of them painfully cleaning up a spill for almost 10 minutes, the other walking around mouth half open appeared to be completely dumbfounded to have customers. Totally incompetent on all counts of good service I want that 15 minutes of my life back please
EK
What a shocker, and I am not even talking about the food!. Came in at around 10.30am for Dim Sum, which the website says is open and the sign at the door says open. No one around but I could hear activity in the kitchen. I went up to the counter and hollered out "Hello" a few times. Then a guy in a chef's uniform peeped out, saw me, and pretended to not see me (he pushed away a trolley). After that, no one came out.<br/><br/>We left. What a shocker!

LOVE IT!. Dinned on Thursday 28th of August after 10pm and they were OPEN! had best Dim Sum at night! food was great! i will be going back soon
Dinner For Two
Favorite for lunch. Love this place, great Yum Cha and for the most part attentive staff. on a few visits there has been a struggle to get noticed, but when the owner is in you are sure to be treated like the most important person in the place, the client.<br/>Favorites is the squid, sui mai and steamed pork buns.
Estenio Paiva
I used to go to this restaurant a lot but couldn't handle the lack of English speaking skills of the waitresses. Sometimes i try to order by phone but they still don't even understand the basics. It's really annoying and the poor girls work like horses which is sad to see.
Amysharon.butler
My favourite local restaurant. This restaurant always has warm and friendly service, and I love the food. I have been going to this restaurant since about a year after it opened and I have never had a bad experience. I recommend it to all my friends.
Angela Sun
Very good yum cha place. Good quality and reasonable priced Chinese restaurant in Victoria Park. Went there for yum cha so many times and loved it. Will try the dinner for sure.
Ella Oey
Great dim sum. The food are yummy, service was really quick and friendly. Clean place. Loves it.
Tony The Terrible
I visited this restaurant for dinner tonight. I ordered BBQ pork, steamed spare ribs with black bean and steamed prawn and pork dumplings. I also ordered a passionfruit green tea and two coffees. The total cost of my meal was only $40.30. I ate and drank the whole lot myself and impressed the service staff who then offered me a special on fried ice creme. I had to refuse, I was simply too full. This is a great restaurant to visit, the staff were very friendly and polite. They made me feel welcome and when they approached my table they gave me a warm happy feeling. The only way I can describe this feeling is the feeling you get when you see a cute little Mini Cooper car driving down the street. The restaurant is spacious and surprisingly clean, this is unusual for Chinese venues. Yummy House Chinese is now one of my favourites.
Kaylgerard
Yummy Yum Cha. Just went to Yum Cha with 10 others and was very happy with food and with the service. The head waiter was lovely and even called me by my name. She was very efficient.<br/><br/>The Yum Cha was plentiful and even though none of us wanted dessert we were all tempted.<br/><br/>So, all up it was around $25 per head which considering the amount of food we ate, good value.<br/><br/>So, Id go again.

Brilliant Chinese New Year. The Yummy House restaurant was packed to the rafters last night to Celebrate the Chinese New Year. Fantastic food, friendly service and great entertainment featuring all of the Chinese traditional Dragons etc.<br/>Without doubt the best Chinese restaurant along Albany Highway.
Sweet Tooth
Very Yummy! I came here for Yum Cha yesterday with 2 others and couldn't find a fault at all! We were greeted at our table with a selection of drinks and Chinese Tea. Service was prompt and very friendly. The food was fantastic, with a great selection. Prices were reasonable too. Looking forward to coming back for dinner soon.
Marie.merrin
Yummy!. The friendliest service I think I've experienced in a chinese restaurant. The owners are great and very accomodating, and to top it off the food is also great. The peking duck is awesome and they have such a wide variety of food that anyone can go there. They also have night time Dim Sum, are BYO & licensed! what more could you want?
Pungame99
Yummy food. Very good food, been there many times.
DG
Have been numerous times over the years, one thing remains the same. Over priced, poor tasting Chinese food. Do yourself a favour and just skip this one.
Wendyss
Mrs B. Very nice, prompt service, friendly and fresh food. We (work group) went for a farewell lunch it was very enjoyable. So much so we are going again tommorrow for another farewell lunch.
Miss T
I love coming here because its close to the beauty college where I go and always have quick service so I can make it back to class on time. Food is delish too :-)
Chrystal De Rozario
Overpriced and average food. I didn't enjoy the batter on the squid tentacles it was quite heavy. The pork and duck was not so juicy and tender as u would expect. The service was good and efficient but that's the only plus side... I have never spent $60+ on dim sum! We only ordered 4 dishes and a lunch special! Was expecting maybe 40 at the most! Would not recommend this or return save ur money.
THE FORK
An utter rip off! They set.... An utter rip off! <br/>They set a lunch menu & dim sum as loss leaders, the price looks low & you're lulled into the shark cafe.... Then you are given the ala carte menu, lunch menu & the dim sum menus.,we chose two simple rice dishes and two soft drinks. Whilst we waited, we were asked every 5 mins, by waiters/waitresses circling with the dim sum trolley & Chinese desserts. Each time I explained we had ordered and were waiting for mains, they'd leave & a few mins later the waiter would arrive with another option. High pressure sales in a restaurant setting! My bill was also extortionate, the lunch menu is a loss leader & prices are excl.GST, the drinks are over priced and when you pay, it's a surprise!!! Sneaky trick! <br/>The food was bland & uninspiring, you can get more of the same, at much better prices, at Old Shanghai food court in Northbridge
MissK
Been waiting, STILL waiting over an hour for our food to start coming. We were one of the first in the restaurant. We have prebooked AND prepaid for their banquet menu by the way. VERY Poor service, to be honest it's not going to matter if their food is good when it finally arrives at our table. Don't bother unless it's only a table of two because all those tables get served first.
Justin
Food was average and very expensive. Won't be going there again. Disappointing.
Jill
Dim Sum. More than yummy. My daughter and I have been there for lunch several times and have been impressed with the quality and the service. Will go back as soon as we can. Enjoyed it immensely. Better than others in Vic Park and some other areas.
Charlie
Nice. Really nice Veg curry! I am yet to find a nicer veg curry.
Maria
We waited 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Nothing arrived till I asked where our drinks were on the third time. Meanwhile the table beside us arrived 15 minute after us yet they were served straight away and had all their food before we even were given out drinks. Terrible service. Massive disappointment.
Albert
This restaurant made it to my 'First and Last Time' list of restaurants. That was my experience a year ago. The waiters were not professional and untrained; the Yum Cha menus were pretty bad and the presentation pretty sloppy for eg. the photocopied menu dangling by a sticky tape on the wall. The owner seriously need to lift the game. I'm not sure about now...because I won't be going back there anymore.
Winks
NOT 'yummy'! Went there for a late lunch on a Sunday. Ordered some beers, and sweet and sour pork and fried rice for mains. The beers were warm! We were quite hungry so ordered steamed bbq pork buns thinking they would have some ready in the dim sum trolley....they didn't so the staff went to check in the kitchen and never returned to us. The mains arrived...the s/s pork was mainly made of flour with a tiny piece of meat inside and the fried rice looked plain and bland (we should've just ordered steamed rice!) Oh we had to ask for our buns TWICE and they finally came AFTER we've had finished our mains. The buns were sticky and they were cold in the center!! It looked like they had microwaved them and if they did why did it take them half an hour to bring them out and uncooked?!! <br/>Never going back again!
Goof7
The food was overcharged. Had dim sum last time it was oke, the prawn dumplings were raw, told the waiter about it but still got charged for the dumplings. Used to be one of my fav place to have yum cha.
Lucas Welby
Ordinary. Mains were very ordinary. Food came out in several installments, the last of which was the entree we ordered. Beer was warm too.
Roz And Tony
Yummy House Chinese. Great place for a freshly cooked dim sum lunch or individual authentic dishes. Good and very fast service. <br/>We often take friends and business clients there as it is licenced and there is no blaring music. It is very reasonable on price and like being in Singapore or Hong Kong<br/>Their lightly battered squid tentacles are delicious and over the years we have found that their standard remains constant.<br/>Roz and Tony

Disappointed. Went in for lunch on a saturday afternoon, thought it was just another local Asian restaurant, never expected it to be so bad. Its definitely one of worst restaurant in town. Food served was cold, staffs were rude....

Definitely yummy. My husband and I are Sunday yum cha regulars at Yummy House in Vic Park. It's a great choice when you want to avoid the hassle/crowds/poor drivers of Northbridge. It's a small restaurant but tastefully decorated inside with booths lining the walls and small tables in the centre. We are always greeted with a big smile and handshake as the waiters and owner recognise us. Service is usually prompt and set up of our table with chilli oil and water is done without asking. We usually order from the Yum Cha menu but notice that many tables order a mix. We love the prawn and chive dumplings, prawns with ginger and shallots, crab cakes (though they are half filled with prawns), prawn rice flour rolls and chicken feet (always tasty sauce). They take orders from the menu as well as come around with the 'steamed' trolley and waiters will offer freshly fried yum cha from the kitchen as well - which is handy as you get the see the yummy treats that you may have missed off the menu.. and also a great filler while you wait for the ordered food. I also like that they are licensed and sell bubble tea :)<br/>The prices are competitive too and the two of us usually pay $40-$45 all up - and we are stuffed every time!<br/><br/>Definitely hit this place if you want an alternative to Northbridge and actually want attentive, friendly service.<br/><br/>I have experienced some of the most frustrating service in Northbridge where they sit you (table for 2) in the far corner where the trolley never reaches and completely forget about you... sometimes you can't even flag down a waiter and I have had to walk up to them just to give my order!
Eloise
I love Chinese food but I have never had anything so greasy and tasteless. I would never go back!
Rntnkgw
Rip off! Food is just ok. Give you an example, they charged us $7 for water!!!
Nick Leigh
Yum cha xmas work lunch!. Well I wasn't expecting the earth but 13 of us got a great little buffet lunch. Quick service, reasonable prices ($20/head including drinks) for pretty much all we could eat, quality I can't complain about and a full tummy. Full of Yummy. Badaboom!
TheBard
Great Yum Cha. Excellent yum cha easilly matches it with the best northbridge dim sum resturants and the service is great. Cant believe its not more busy
Paul
We used to love this place but the owner has been AWOL the last few times we visited and the food quality has declined a lot. Our takeaway garlic seafood was mostly just undercooked onions (close to half the container, including whole onion quarters). I think we'll be going somewhere else from now on.
Lynette Wood
Very nice delivered Chinese. Value for money, ample yummy portions, friendly polite service. We will have again thanks highly recommend this restaurant
MeadowMax
We have been going to Yummy House since it opened. Their food is always excellent. The owner (Jimmy?), is very friendly. The rest of the staff are of usual Perth standard. Their decor is getting a little tatty, but the food is still good.
Khrystyne S Cordi
Not worth it. Got delivery on Sunday night, it was fast delivery but the dishes are a bit on the expensive side. $15+ when I usually pay $11-12 at other places.<br/><br/>Most of the dish was just onion and celery. Very ordinary. Probably won't be back.<br/>Spring rolls were also VERY average, and very small for $2 each!<br/><br/>I'm sure there are better, cheaper chinese places around.
Agapejon
Rude Waitresses, Slow Service and Overpriced. Went there for a late lunch about 3pm on Sat. A couple of the female waitresses are rude and snobbish. Service was a shocker and very slow. Where's our drinks? Had to cancel some food because it took so long. Another table also did the same. Food was okay though for a HK style place, however a bit pricy. Better value down the road at Emma's for Dim Sum.
Sonia
What a RIP OFF. THERE IS AN ONGOING SPECIAL OF THE CRAB AND CRAYFISH DISHES.<br/>WE WERE CHARGED $152 FOR THE CRAYFISH DISH only.<br/>we were told that the cray was $38per pound in weight.<br/>And so the weight comes to about 4 pounds. approx 2kg.<br/><br/>But, on the plate that was served, it was definitely not that much.- only a few little pieces, hardly a kilo.<br/>NOW I AM PRETTY SURE WE WERE SERVED JUST HALF THE CRAY AND SOME OTHER TABLE WAS SERVED THE REST AND BOTH TABLES WERE CHARGED FOR THE WHOLE FISH ($152)<br/><br/>We were overcharged. When we tried to argue, about the bill, the waiter made us wait for 20 minutes and reduced just 13$ from the total, to pacify us.<br/>He refused to call a manager/owner.<br/><br/>Also, The waiter was talking too much while trying to entertain us, which was annoying.<br/><br/>Very disapppointed by this behavior and will NOT return<br/><br/>New customers BEWARE of the ripoff

Yummy House, Yummy Food. Best Chinese that i have found so far. LOVE their Crap meat and sweat corn soup! Love, love, loved it!

Yumcha. Well I have eaten more than a few dinners here - beef gailan and chicken with cashews - both nice (although too much onion as a vegetable with the chicken), so today I thought I would just try a few dishes and some tea.<br/>I ordered ha-gao - steamed prawn dumpling, siew-mi - steamed pork dumplings, pai quat - pork spareribs. And to accompany - po-lei tea.<br/>Well a very friendly welcome in a busy place - I ate around outside in the mild "heat" although I was offered a table in the aircon.. about 2pm and it was still cranking for lunch.<br/>Very prompt but I ordered immediately.anyway.<br/><br/>Ha Gao - over steamed but large and prawns had good dun hao.<br/>Siew Mai - large and perfectly cooked, bu the wrapper fell away as slightly over-wet. <br/>The Pai-Quat was superb - nice blackbean taste - no garlic.<br/>The tea? a bit watery but good to cut the fat nonetheless. I'd say a 6/10.<br/>Comparable with Emmas in Vic Park. although the Pai Quat was much less garlicky and had a lot more meat than the boney lot at Emmas...<br/>Next time I will try the Ha Chon Fun. (steamed rice pancake with Prawn).
Matt
Great food and to prove again the work ethic of the Chinese, they were the only restaurant still serving in Vic Park after 9pm on a Monday night
Mr Fussy
I don't normally like yum cha but this place is great.
The Burglars Dog
Good food. Friendly staff. Really enjoyed a night with friends. Scallops and mixed veg voted main best dish on table.<br/>Starters could have been better but overall not bad at all.
