Review Sixteen Ounces - Victoria Park

Brooke
French Toast and Latte with caramel. Very yummy. Loved the French toast and fruit was fresh and looked beautiful. Prompt service even though busy.

One of my Vic Park brekky faves (and there are lots if options) It's always a two coffee meal because one is not enough, and I love that they will cook my bacon just how I like it... super crisp

Awesome food so happy we tried this place! Staff very friendly and quick service

I have never had such an awful customer service experience in any restaurant or cafe before. Unbelievably rude. A few colleagues and I met at this cafe on a Saturday morning to have breakfast and work on a few tasks. We ordered breakfast and coffee and were minding our own business. Around 1 hour and 10 minutes into our meeting a male staff (I'm assuming the manager?) comes to our table with an angry tone telling us that they are very busy that morning and have a cap for people staying no longer than one and a half hours at the cafe. Followed by "we can't have people setting up an office here all day". I am shocked and appalled and wondering if I should take this further with consumer protection. So if you decide to meet a few friends here, make sure you don't go over their supposed "time-limit"! Someone at the back will be timing you! In fact, you don't even have to go over their time limit for them to kick you out, as according to their own supposed rules, we still had another 20 minutes left. I would never set foot in this cafe again. We still had another few things to cover in our meeting and had to pay for food and drinks that we didn't want (because we had already eaten at Sixteen Ounces) at a cafe next door, just so that we could have a place to sit a bit longer. The lovely cafe next door were welcoming and told us that we were welcome to stay all day (not that we were planning to)!

Delicious breakfast, the thick cut bacon is incredible! Coffees also so yum. Sadly didn’t rate the pumpkin latte, thought it would be like the Canadian ones, but instead was like pumpkin soup with whipped cream. Missing all this yummy spices.

Food is delicious and the coffee is great. The team and I had breakfast here and everyone enjoyed their meal. The breakfast options are good.

Lovely staff and impeccable food, the grilled haloumi bruschetta was phenomenal.

We went to Sixteen Ounces for the first time after we see amazing review on Google. We both love eggs benedict so we usually go to different cafe to try their eggs Benny. I had with bacon and my partner had with salmon. So the food were so good, poached eggs were cooked perfectly. Other ingredient were fresh. I love thick cut bacon I had. It was so yummy. We will go back again

I stumbled across this cafe in beautiful Victoria Park, friendly fast service and great music Great vibe and people. My Haloumi burger was outstanding. Great for breakfast brunch lunch or coffee

Great food and coffee. Nice selection of menu choices. Groovy atmosphere and very nice staff

Nice little nook to enter in to and forget the rest of the world when you sit down. Great coffee, lovely service and atmosphere.

A stylish, inviting cafe spot in the heart of Vic Park, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the Melbourne-esque decor and friendly service on offer here. We were enticed by the loaded English baked beans and brioche eggs benedict, which, coupled with the cafe's signature matcha latte, made for a delicious brunch combo. Will certainly be returning to try more of what Sixteen Ounces has to offer.
Dina
Fantastic food, great coffee and the most welcoming bunch of people. The fluffiest scrambled eggs and delicious thick-cut bacon! A great bright and airy interior. We can’t stop returning to this place. The owners care about delivering a good experience.

Had high hopes after reading positive things. Sadly coffee was too milky. Menu a little uninspiring. Pastrami sandwich was tasty though. Nothing terrible but missing the elements that turns “good” into “great”.
Lunarcry
Stumbled upon this cafe on an early Saturday morning. I had the mixed mushroom dish and thought it was just average. Coffee was a bit of a letdown.

Finally made it out to this cafe for brekky after hearing so many great things about it and absolutely loved it! Unassuming on the outside and further down from the main food strip on Albany Hwy, blink and you’ll miss it. The prices are pretty standard (possibly a little lower) as far as brunch places go but the portion sizes were generous and the quality and presentation of the meals were top notch - they have an interesting selection of options to choose from on the menu, too. Service was really quick and friendly and am definitely keen to come back soon 😁 4.5 stars

lovely small tucked away spot with loads of sunlight in a quite accessible area. the interior was presented and niche, and the meal was well cooked and presented (i was only expected an egg on toast). staff were warm and welcoming, an overall great experience.

Sixteen Ounces is excellent. Our new favourite big breakfast. The corn bread, bacon and halloumi are so delicious! The staff are really friendly and went out of their way to help us with our baby. We felt very welcome. We live an hour away but will definitely make the pilgrimage again. Great coffee too!

What a charming little place. Blink and you'd miss it -- which worked for me this morning as I had the pick of tables. The boys who work here tick all the boxes for friendly, efficient breaky service without being overly intrusive. My skinny capp was bang on perfecto so hats off to the barista. My granola order somehow failed to make it to the kitchen so I was left waiting for nearly half an hour for my food -- they only realised when I asked how much longer it would be. Would've been nice at that point to offer a comp coffee as an apology but it didn't matter too much because when the granola finally came out, it was simply heavenly and sooo worth the wait! The chia pudding is divine and a perfect match for the fruits and granola. Ideal serving size too!
Frankie
Nice cafe. Good service fast service. Had the avocado smash $13.50 (prices gone up compared to this menu) was a very nice avo smash but nothing special to stand out so 3.5 is a fair rating as if you are jumping in to the 4s you need to be something different. Nothing wrong with the cafe but because there are so many cafés down this strip I think I would pay the others a visit. I was mildly disappointed because the first zomato dish picture is what looks like an avo smash with poached eggs mushrooms and some kind of sauce which looks delicious but it seems its been removed 😕
Finleyhimawan
Coffees are excellent! Really like how they brew their coffees. The place is quite child friendly and relaxing. Butter miso chicken has quite a nice taste to it but a little dry (nearly forgot this order too). The banana bread was really moist and tasty and the savoury muffins are yummy too as I don't normally like savoury muffins but I like this one! May be I'll give their other menus another go.

Drove past this place and decided to make a u-turn to try out this place. Waited for 5 mins for a table, which happened to be outside. <br/><br/>My Chai Latte came first and it was rather bland. More milk, less chai.<br/><br/>Next came the brioche Benedict, one of the two poached eggs was over done. Bacon was amazing. <br/><br/>Will be back again to try the other menu but probably not in a hurry.
Andrew Ang
The ambience when first stepping in is welcoming with friendly staff. Just want to commend the manager Kwanthar, he was outgoing and always cheerful. One of the best baristas I've ever met. Only bad thing I would like to say is the toast was hard as a rock, difficult to cut and chew. But overall for coffee, I would be glad to go back.
Le Cat & Kate
Cute place with a few great brekky options that side of Vic Park. The service is always friendly and brekky always comes out within 5-10 minutes. Cant fault the team here really!
Mans
They make great coffees. Have only tasted their banana bread which is nice enough. And their staff are always helpful and friendly. It does get packed in the morning.

I have been traveling throughout  the country for the last 10 years for business reason and the meantime I love enjoying quality  coffee wherever I go, unfortunately  I had some disappointing experience  from big brand cafes.  Trust me  Sixteen Ounces. . . .is one of the best place I will recommend  to anybody who want to deserve quality coffee.
Joo Yee
Love the environment here, small and cozy 😍😍 amazing coffee, friendly staff. Lovin the load breakfast 🍳, the sautéed mushrooms 🍄 are awesome 😍 . Love the coffee but it would be nice if its hot instead of warm. Overall, would definitely come back again to try other dishes
LittleAsianGirl
Came for brunch the other day. Was quite busy around 10.30am. We were greeted by friendly staff. Although we had to wait for our table (we were a group of 7), the staff were always updating us on our table. We ordered the tomato sugo bean, avocado smash, mushroom medley, brioche Benedict, butter miso chicken, the dipped french toast and a side of mushrooms. The tomato sugo beans were delicious. The mushrooms in the mushroom medley was so tasty and juicy! Coffee from this place is not bad. Will definitely come back to try some other dishes!
Syaphyrnaz Gabriel
Mushroom Medley is very tasty.. highly recommended. Had always been our go to place for coffee. A small place, very cosy. Very accomodating staff. They're so friendly and makes me feel comfortable. Kudos, guys!
Mandy
A great local little cafe with a nice quality breakfast menu. Lovely presentation and attention to detail. <br/>Just gets a tad busy at times to find a seat.
MJ Amerito
Lovely spot, staff are attentive and helpful. Tasty food and a really good menu choice-wise with lots of veggie options. The in house cold brew is amazing! Regular coffee was a bit average but this could have just been an occurance due to the busy nature of the time we visited.
Lakmonsta
Taking coffee seriously so that you can order whatever you want without the roulette of whatcha gonna get. The chicken toasted sandwich is not your average sanga, highly recommended.
In_perth
Another great breakfast / brunch location in Vic Park definitely worth a try. Everything was really tasty and really good size servings. Good coffee with a nice selection of cold pressed juices.

I went to sixteen ounces some time ago. <br/>Had a great breaky and perfect coffee. <br/>Went back today. My friend could barely cut through his almond croissant, fitness people next to us were struggling to cut their pastry, my ham and cheese croissant came 'microwaved' shrunken and like latex, I asked them to replace it and put it in the sandwich press, it arrived hard and stone cold in the middle, yes they had pressed it. My long Mac was lighter than my friend's latte, I asked for it to be replaced, they did. It was worse.<br/>I politely drew all of this to their attention and they said 'sorry', they will let the owner know. <br/>'Great' !<br/>

I have been here a number of times since it opened, and have  mixed feelings! On the one hand, the food is typically delicious, decent serving sizes, nice presentation and an interesting though smallish menu. The coffee is nearly always very good. The fit out is great, and even though the place is absolutely small enough that table service would be so so easy for them to provide (which would definitely encourage more people to have a second coffee), I get why they are counter service and the line moves pretty quickly.<br/><br/>On the other hand... though I wouldn't say the service is ever UNfriendly, it is kind of cold. Every time I have left, none of the staff ever say thanks/see you later, it is always me that has to seek out eye contact and say thank you. Despite how small the cafe is, no one has ever meal-checked us during our meal, or even when they clear our plates. Plates are typically not cleared until we leave. So if we had an issue with our meals, we would have to get up and let them know. But they're not overtly unpleasant in any way, I just think these little things which are so easy to do would make it feel like a way more welcoming spot. I know this all sounds nitpicky but as someone who has worked in cafes for years, it's those little things, the overall culture of the staff and training, that are so important to providing high quality customer service. Will definitely continue to go back, I just hope that over time they take note of these comments, which I know other reviewers have mentioned, as it really is a great little cafe.
HotChocolat
16 ounces resembles the amount of coffee put in individual cup. This name is quite rustic and contrasts very well to the architecture . The pendulous wires , the black and white paintings and the whole set up of the cafe creates a mood of austerity (simplicity). The service was not a crucial aspect of the experience , as they were only serving coffee but I would rate it highly . The piccolo , toasted banana bread and the soy cappuccino were confounding . This cafe is one I would highly recommend
Beth Phillips
Amazing, delicious, good value, good coffee. The big brekky is actually a big brekky! Best in Perth! Consistently good.
Elssie
A decent meal and good coffee. Friendly service but a bit disorganized when the queue started to build as some staff didn't realize there was a waiting list being managed by the girl behind the counter so told people who just arrived that they could have any table that freed up, so we had to indicate politely about the line outside...<br/><br/>In the uber competitive world of brunch venues, I'm not sure this place cuts it. It's ok but I won't be rushing back in a hurry.
Gpayne50
This cafe is quite funky however has a lot to learn about customer service. Cutlery, napkins, pepper and salt have to be collected from a station at the front however there is no sign to tell you nor do the staff let you know. The menus are filthy- covered in stains. The coffee is cold. The service is not very friendly and the food average. Needs some serious work.
M
Great coffee... Is just a shame it takes them so long to make it... Not a great "on the way to work" coffee spot. Stick to dine in where how long it takes won't matter as much
Cassandra Tung
Been here for a couple of times with my partner. Service has been consistently good. Friendly, polite and down-to-earth staff, always with a big smile on their faces. Food and coffees have always been outstanding! Nice and cozy spot! The best thing is they open till 4pm (kitchen closes at 3 I believe) which is perfect for late brunch on lazy days! Can't recommend enough! :)
Jamaica
Nice place to have coffee and food as brunch. Had this breast chicken salad and it was tasty :) will go back for sure to try other food there.
Wintersolstice
Cute cafe with an industrial vibe. Service is always pleasant and friendly, despite how busy and cramped it can sometimes be. Coffees here tend to be more acidic than I'm used to, but to be fair, that's just my personal taste. My mushroom dish was spot on and I look forward to trying the ever-popular bacon next time!
Mozwah
Dined for brunch, had the eggs Benedict minus bacon add the delicious mushrooms. Defiantly try the pressed juice. Coffee was great too.<br/>Will visit again.
T
So many people have spoken of the out-of-this-world bacon at 16oz, and they are so right. It's incredible!! The house made hollandaise and aioli were a nice touch atop three perfectly poached eggs (I think I was given a third as I asked for no toast- excellent swap)!<br/><br/>A $4 long black in those tiny mugs does not seem worth it, but the quality of the food- and the service too- makes up for it.
Keisha
Ordered food.. Sat down, coffee came out 2 mins after n food just 5mins after that! Got the brioche Benedict, it was so good ill go back for seconds! Really happy with the service, food n coffee!!! 💯🙌🏽💯🙌🏽💯
Melinda
Such a cute little place in vic park, was surprisingly quite during lunch hour, but the food was nice and I was pleasantly pleased with my avocado smash, the latte wasn't as fragrant as I would have liked it but it was decent, the service was very friendly and attentive.
Kevin Clark
I've been here 3 or 4 times on weekends now and today decided it was time to write a review. <br/><br/>They've recently modified the menu and as usual it has a very interesting twist on the traditional breakfast. <br/><br/>I had the cannelloni beans with ciabatta toast, poached eggs and spicy chorizo. Good amount of crunch and spice. <br/><br/>Coffee was great too (though I'm no connoisseur) and ambience was great with tables well spread out for such a small venue <br/><br/>TIP: Get in early (8am-ish) to avoid the morning weekend rush. <br/><br/>

THE BACON IS TO DIE FOR MUST MUST MUST HAVE WHEN U ORDER YOUR MEALLLL , atmosphere was very nice enjoyed my self and the food with my friends.
Bethany Goodall
Nice place for coffee and a chat. But I unfortunately ordered the avocado on toast which is my go to breakfast meal and it was absolutely terrible! It tastes like a packaged mushy avocado paste. There was only a couple of bits of real avocado... Would be hesitant to return.
Munchie Junkie
Wow, coffee was perfect. Best I've had in Perth. The French toast is pretty special too. Great little place, a hidden gem down that end of Vic Park. Will be going back.

I've been meaning to have a meal here for a while, after several enjoyable coffee experiences. Today was the day! I had Chargrilled bratwurst with bacon, shaved Parmesan and sauerkraut. I'm not normally a big meat eater so I was out of my comfort zone. Overall it probably was a bit much meat for me (I had to leave a little) but the hungry carnivores out there would have licked the plate clean. Tasty flavour combinations, and perfectly cooked egg. Most delicious light rye bread. The service was pretty fast, but I had to order before I was seated, which lead to a rushed decision. Also, couldn't have skim milk with coffee as they were all out (at 8:30am). Overall, I would go back to 16 Ounces
Lifelovetravelfood
Stopped in for takeaway coffee and my review is mixed. Service was friendly but a little slow but I forgive that if the coffee is good, you can't rush a great coffee! My almond milk long mac was delicious, creamy, smooth and strong. Yum! On the other hand, my husband's skinny long mac was just sweet. I'm not sure if it had sugar in it (we didn't ask for any) but it was quite unpleasant. As we'd already got in the car, it was too late to go back. Because I enjoyed my coffee so much I would go back and hope for consistently good coffee next time.
Quite The Hobgoblin
Coffee is consistently above average. Atmosphere is pleasant but service tends to be a touch slow. I don't usually have much interest in breakfast menus but I was won over by the perfectly cooked poached eggs and incredible bacon. The bacon has a sweet taste to it which I loved, and it was crisp without being dry.

Read some good review about this place and decided to check it out. Went there during weekday and it wasn't too busy. Didn't have to wait long. Ordered their chai latte and flat white. They were both average. Chai latte wasn't strong enough, it was mostly the milk. We had the potato and chorizo and bratwurst with gherkins. Taste wise was not too bad, but personally think it could be better. Pretty average overall.
Lady Marmalade
Popped in on a warm afternoon while waiting for car to be cleaned, nice ambience and super friendly staff. Only had time for a coffee and it smelt and tasted fantastic.  Will have to come back and test the menu. Quite small though with limited seating, but felt comfy and relaxed.  Other people seemed to be really enjoying their food. Looked yum.
Dan Bird
As much as I love this place as a bit of a back up cafes from busier imp and harvest which get 80% of the foot traffic, I know this place very rarely gets busy due to its location further away from the main strip of vic park.<br/><br/>I've had lots of good experiences here, the food usually tastes great yet slightly overpriced for the portion sizes and the coffee is decent.<br/><br/>However when visiting today, it was the worst experience I've ever had there. I ordered the new pulled beef burger which had a side salad. The burger wasn't too bad but the beef had been overcooked and was dry almost like jerky. The salad wasn't very good and was swimming in olive oil which totally destroyed the refreshing taste a good salad provides.<br/><br/>We ordered the chunky chips to go with our lunches. Personally I love them but this time around they were extremely salty and soaked in oil and were almost inedible.<br/><br/>The service is normally good but today they failed. You'd think a small load of chips would be served before the larger lunches right? After waiting half an hour for our lunches (in a half empty cafe) we finished our lunches without any word of where the chips were. We had to ask the waiters AFTER finishing our lunches (about 45/50 minutes after ordering). At that point we were happy to walk out and not bother waiting any longer but after making the effort to ask, the girl told us our chips had just being plated up. I understand when you ask for chips in the morning it takes time for the chefs to prepare and set up everything but you'd think at lunch time they'd be able to pump out a handful of chips!

The coffee is pretty awesome and the shop has a nice vibe to it. It's nice to see this area taking off and I'll definitely be coming back soon.
Anonymonster
I generally do not fancy this place. I went once to have a coffee and thought it was nice. The ambience especially. I had breakfast the second time I was over though and things were just a mess. We waited 35 minutes for our food, and after finally serving my mum, sister and I, ONE big breakfast, and eggs on toast, they apologized for missing an ingredient for my meal. There was no other table who had ordered food at this point and to come into a cafe hungry and wait that long, while in the meantime the only service happening in those 35 minutes were dishing out 5 coffees over the counter (they had about 4-6 staff)... I was angry to say the least trying to figure out what everyone else was so preoccupied with. Never came back since. A tad pricey too for the portion sizes!!
Tony The Terrible
The first thing I noticed as I walked into this establishment was the politeness of the two smiling Asian girls who were working behind the counter. I ordered the $22 Country Breakfast and a large cappuccino. My eating utensils were handed to me in a little white tin bucket. It wasn't long after the arrival of my cappuccino that big breakfast landed at the table. I really enjoyed the breakfast meal. The bratwurst, bacon and tomatoes were delicious and my poached egg was cooked was cooked just the way I like. <br/><br/>There was a couple of things I didn't like with my breakfast meal, I was served only one packet of butter but there was two pieces of bread. I was forced to painfully ration the small amount of butter as I lightly shared it between both pieces of bread. I would have also preferred my bratwurst served in one piece instead of being sliced down the middle like a banana split. <br/><br/>Even with these two shortcomings my visit to sixteen ounces was a pleasurable experience and look forward to my next visit.
Sez
Bored and uninterested staff.<br/>Breakfast consisted of overcooked mushrooms stuffed with undercooked garlic and onions with a thin hollandaise sauce.<br/>Coffee was fantastic. Tea cup had lipstick stains.<br/>Slow and disappointing. Amazing space. Loads of potential but the service was rubbish.
TheSoloAvocado.com
With so many cafes closing just after lunch it's hard to find something selling coffee and a wee puffy toot (that's Dundonian for a cake with cream) in the mid afternoon. This place is open and ready to serve a good coffee, honey cake (apparently it's all the rage) and raw puffy toots.<br/>He had honey cake and gave it the thumbs up but I think he had puffy toot envy for my raw lemon slice. He certainly didn't say no when I offered him a try! The coffee was good, possibly looking a bit prettier than it tasted but don't hold that against them, my afternoon taste buds differ to my morning ones. The service is quick and friendly and the atmosphere is contemporary and comfortable. I think you'll like it.
Dizko
This place is quite small but as a coffee lover it ticks the box!! Quick and friendly service with the same product every time. Only downer is that the toilet location is a bit of a walk outside and around the block.
Breakfast Bliss
After finding street parking, we popped into the cafe to find not much seating available. We chatted outside for a few minutes before luckily a table became vacant. This quirky cafe had a very relaxed atmosphere and was the kinda of place you could catch up with friends chatting for hours on end, letting the world pass by outside.
Robert Williams
I'm glad you guys are closed today when it counts the most, Sunday is a great day off at the beach. Understandably so, as you're a small business and your staff need at least one day off to continue delivering the best coffee in the area, when you're open. I'll definitely come by on a Monday and line up for breakfast!
NRB
Was disappointed that your closed on such a good trading day as Sunday so much foot traffic, but understand as your a small business. So we went next door and lined up for breakfast
Bam!
Lunch for less than 20 dollars and with change! Perfect cappuccino and a Chicken Panini would have come back in flash if I was in Perth for longer.

Tuesday October 20 Lunch<br/><br/>Love the cute outside space<br/>Love the wonderful decor inside<br/>Love the good coffee<br/>Love the cold press juice option<br/>Love the range of healthy dishes on the menu<br/>Love the thick sliced homemade bacon<br/>Love the quick prompt service <br/>Love the friendly "not a problem " attitude to menu changes <br/>Love how it's absolutely pet friendly <br/>Love the free first 30 minute parking on the street <br/><br/>Loathe how cut off the inside and outside areas are, so ordering with a pet outside is difficult
Foodie Patoodie
Coffee very inconsistent. Sometimes it's just ok, other times bitter and burnt. Not sure if it's the coffee they use or technique in making it. Would like it to be consistently good as it's a cool little spot but I don't want to play Russian Roulette with my $4.50 coffee.
Teags
LOVE the coffee here ... Could be my favourite on the strip ! Haven't tried the food yet, but meaning to go for breakfast one morning. Adorable park let at the front !
Comment Mike
Now I really like their coffee but I just ask a mate to join me for a bite of lunch today to try the food. They have a very limited lunch eats but so be it. We chose a roll what we got was half a roll and small one at that with a few pretzels on the side ... Who eats those for lunch I wonder? The price was over $15 !!!! I said to the person that we didn't want it cut in half but had ordered two. The response was .... that's how they come. I said .... "that's just very rude and u feel like you are ripping me off". They didn't seem to care at all. <br/><br/>Great coffee, hopeless otherwise. <br/><br/>Bang for buck ..... Terrible !<br/><br/>Will I return ..... Nope never !
OnePointFive
My first visit to Sixteen Ounces was when they just opened, for coffee only. Me & gf decided to go back and try their food. I had usual mocha and she had ice chai latte, both were good. We shared two dishes: Baked Potato Hash & Rueben Corned Beef. Baked Potato Hash looked and tasted yummy with rich spicy tomato sauce, smokey chorizo, runny egg and toast. Rueben Corned Beef on the other side, was looking a bit sad (dry). Taste wise was okay, beef was tender but need a bit more work to make it more tasty and appetising. Don't quite get the idea of serving pretzels on the side though (US style?). I might come back and give SO another chance.
Emz
Tried a new place. Nice decor and plenty of staffs around. Coffee was food. Breakky was nice as well. Will go back to check out the other items on the menu.<br/>
Eetee
Nice enough, but both of our breakfasts arrived on the same plate, which was a bit odd. The waitress grudgingly slid us a side plate. I won't be rushing back in a hurry
FoodieQueen
Great coffee! Love the flat white. Not too creamy. It's a very hipster brunch place. There was a good selection of teas as well. I ordered poached egg and mushrooms with chunky avocado on toast. It was very fresh. Lovely staff. Would come again.
27andcounting
Really good value and consistent quality food. <br/><br/>Service is friendly and coffee is always 10/10<br/><br/>:)<br/><br/>
Casellmai
Fantastic selection of tea and excellent value for breakfast! The slow cooked corned beef was delicious and could not finish it all (that's saying something for a big eater like me)! Only downfall was that my meal came out a good 5 or so minutes after everyone else... Pet hate as everyone sits around awkwardly trying to decide whether to eat or wait. Little things to improve but will definitely be back!!!
Donna Repace
the interior was so nice and homely. the staff were friendly. the food came out very quick and was nice. the prices were very reasonable. will definitely go there again.
Clark Riggins
Clark <br/>This is awesome, really friendly and cosy. A great escape from the rainy day as you have breaky. The Halloumi Omelette was truly divine. It tasted great and was presented well. You gotta try this place.
Cassie Tanadi
Me and my girlfriends go to place for brunch in Vic Park. We love the atmosphere and has really good breakfast. Service is also exceptional. I had the hollandaise poached eggs with bacon, the bacon was delicious!
Zoodle
Found this cute friendly café cos our usual breakfast place was closed. Loved the fresh food and coffee. Ordered mushroom poached eggs on toast with the best hollandaise I've had in years, and Spanish style potatoes with chorizo which was lovely too. Different from the regular breakfast cafes in vic Park. A must try in my opinion.
Izzy Alyce
Cute little cafe with yummy fresh produce. Great coffee and such a nice place to sit and eat brekky in, was very happy with it as was my partner :)
Krusty
Great food, giddy atmosphere and gorgeous coffee. Harvest was packed (my first visit was yet again delayed) so we walked along and stumbled across this little cute joint. Had the French toast with grilled bananas, nut crumb, bacon and caramel and it was tasty and presented nicely. Mocha was one of the best too. They have a menu worth salivating for. Will be back!
Sugarbutterflour
Had brunch here and got the corn braised beef, it was pretty good but my poached eggs was cooked not runny.. (Would be better if it was runny).. Ordered coffee and it taste horrible.. Burnt, watery and just weird, try to put some sugar but it doesnt really help..
Facebook User
What a lovely spot! I ordered the chorizo and potato dish minus egg as I'm allergic so they kindly offered to replace it with something so I chose avocado. It was absolutely delicious the coffee was amazing and service super quick and friendly. Definitely would recommend it as a go to brunch spot. The only thing to add to make it better is maybe some funky tunes in the background.
Dumpling Love
After way too long of a delay, CT and I finally met up for a chat! Our schedules rarely match, so having this opportunity is very much a blessing for us both. We used to catch up once a month but alas, time catches up on us and before we know it, it’s been months before we see each other again!
JazP
The food was quite delicious. It had a variety of different items on the menu. The sausage dish was quite large and full of flavour. The coffee was also quite good.
Williespants
Cosy little Cafe at the end of Vic Park that we've finally been able to get to. Their coffee was decent, strong flavoured but I thought the cappuccino was weirdly watery. Ordered the slow cooked braised corned beef and the cast iron baked smokey chorizo. The beef dish was lacking any wow factor and felt like it was missing something to tie all the components together. The beef could've been braised a bit more as well. The chorizo plate was great for a cold day like today, but I think the sauce could be thicker to coat the potatoes and chorizo for flavour. Good portions, meals not too heavy and felt healthy-ish.

Nice enough atmosphere.  Coffee was not so great.  Had a flat white and it was burnt.  Had the french toast with the banana.  Banana was a little unripe for my liking anyways.  Room for improvement.
Bite Size
Reading the reviews, I wonder if we went to the same place. Walked in and were totally ignored so left and went across the road. Maybe it was a bad day. Everyone has them.
Bite Into It
Small Cosy Place with great service. Breakfast was delish. Considering I'm a coffee lover, the Affogato here is probably the best I have ever tasted.

Looking for a new breakfast spot recently with a friend of mine, heard some nice things about this place! First off great coffee! Fantastic atmosphere and really good service, the only let down was the food, maybe they just had an off day! We had the avocado on toast with mushrooms & hollandaise, the hollandaise was very very vinegary, I know a main ingredient is vinegar, but couldn't taste anything else on the plate! The avocados were hard and the toast was cold. We also ordered the beans, egg, chorizo & toast, which was presented beautifully, really lovely, but tasted like a jar of average bolognaise sauce with some tabasco in it, the chorizo was nice but poor quality sausage. Also the available water glasses were covered in grease and dust and it was pretty gross, a nice polishing and a bit of work on the food flavours would do this place wonders, will still definitely come back :)
Eight Seconds Of Food
The slow cooked braised corned beef was a standout dish and is highly recommended. It came with a sweet potato hash which gave the dish a bit of an edge. <br/>The beer battered chunky fries were nice and crispy and went well with their house made aioli sauce. <br/>Great little cozy brekky/lunch spot. Their menu is available all day till 3pm.

Home is where the heart belongs they say.  I have been living in Rivervale for over 4 years now and my affection for Victoria Park is never ending.  From the impromptu pop ups on Leonard street to the innovative Harvest Espresso and the ever so precious dinner places like the Prophet and A Spicy Affair, this suburb has got to be one of the finest in Perth.  During my short brake, I finally took the effort to bring my camera and my parents to my newest muse, Sixteen Ounces.

Today's breakfast was at Sixteen Ounces, a small cafe at the city end of Victoria Park. It's been on our list for some time as they have a reputation for great food and serve Five Senses coffee which always goes down well with me. As we were heading south of the river first thing on this chilly Saturday morning, we arrived bright and early as the doors opened. Sixteen Ounces opens from 8am-4pm on Saturdays and 7am-4pm during the week but is closed on Sundays.

Food was yummy! Coffee was so so. Staff were friendly and upbeat. However, they took an extremely long time to serve us our coffee. It's sad they serve the takeaway customers first when we ordered first. Coffee only came after our food (I had to ask them where's the coffee, when my food arrived). They did apologise for the delay though.

Really enjoyed our first time here. Staff are friendly and efficient. Great to have an alternative to The Imp that is not so crowded! Great price too. Food was tasty and speedy. Will be back for sure!

Really wanted to like this place. Cool fit out and friendly staff. Unfortunately coffee was a bit underwhelming. Not terrible or completely undrinkable but with so much competition on the strip it needs to be better.<br/>A friend had an iced coffee and enjoyed it though

Great coffee. in love with the vibe and the decor of this little cafe. Menu is simple and clear, food is good, except the french toast i found it too sweet.

I love this place.... Great coffee and good food. It does get busy on weekends but week days are fine. <br/><br/>I always buy my coffee beans from here to enjoy at home

As a first time customer, great first impressions. Friendly staff took my order and coffee was served quickly. Both breakfast and coffee were delicious and would highly recommend. We will be back.

... when I found both sauerkraut and a lonely pickle on my plate at Sixteen Ounces, I instantly called it love. Bratwurst hollandaise is a pretty plate of streaky bacon, sauerkraut, shaved parmesan, gherkin, poached egg and greens for $16.80.  I ordered mine sans toast which is my idea of starting to watch what I eat in the new year

Very disappointing chicken and mango salad. I don't know why you would have a grilled chicken and mango salad on your menu and then use tinned mango in mango season?<br/>The grilled chicken was also very minimal - 5 thinly sliced (maybe 2mm?) bits of chicken is not what I would expect for $16.

Great coffee. Great little trendy cafe in Vic Park. The food is delicious (I've had the avocado smash & haloumi omelette) and the coffee is great too.
