Review Piyawat The Sweetery - Victoria Park

Good food and price! I came for the savoury and both curry and pad Thai did not let us down :) The only thing is their “signature” toasts are not as good and, in my opinion, overpriced 🙁 yet the sticky rice was surprisingly good! So come for the savoury food and sticky rice, just skip the toasts 🙈

I have been to this local café several times. It is becoming a big favourite of mine. Every time I visit always fantastic service from the friendly staff at Piyawat The Sweetery. Everything is so carefully prepared and cooked. Definitely try the outstanding Strawberry Lovers Honey Toast. Lovely fresh baked toast. Yummy. Highly recommend

Visit here almost weekly. Food is absolutely delicious. Had a range of dishes and every one of them was great! Would definitely recommend ✨☺️ lol

My best local Thai eatery. Little but you can fulfill your taste buds fr on stirfried dishes to traditional dessert. Reasonably priced, friendly local Thai owner.

Fantastic dinner and service at Piyawat The Sweetery. Everything is so carefully prepared and cooked. Beautiful Thai dishes but I was so hungry I forgot to take photos of what we ate! The Pad Thai was solid, not too sweet and lovely al dente noodles, Tom Yum Prawns are a must if you like prawns and if you like the Tom Yum flavours and lovely entrees. Outstanding highlight was the dessert, we have never had this in the past but the Honey Toasts is simply divine! Not what’d we expected but lovely fresh baked toast with almond - think an Almond Crossiant and Sweet bread loaf had an offspring! The hot goodness and cold ice cream plus drizzy drizzle of the honey was a match made in heaven!

I've found my new favourite place for both food and dessert!! 😍 Their toast was so good and my fiancé loved their Thai Ice coffee. Will definitely be back soon.

Thanks for me to have a good quality of thai food. I felt a potion of food was a little bit small but taste was very nice. Thank you

Nice little hideout. Good desserts and Thai ice milk tea. Lots of options in the all day menu.

Ordered Uber Delivery and got my meal without napkins or spoons to eat at my workplace. Food was mediocre and the chicken was bland. For this kind of pricing, it's a no go.

Love this place especially the Mango Sticky rice & they serve the best Thai ice coffee ever!!!!

Do yourself a favor and have breakfast. The most amazing clean, fresh food that taste out of this world. You can taste the love & effort in every bite. We will be back!!! The staff are incredible also. Our new Sunday morning place.

Came on a quiet arvo, was served with a warm cust service and friendly staff. Delicious coffee, toast, and crispy rolls after a cool autumn walk. Perfect location, definitely will return.

This is really my first review in Zomato as I really want to recommend this Shop as I’m impressed with food, service and atmosphere.
I really liked Stir fried chilli and basil with minced pork and add fried egg on top. Also Iced Thai milk tea was very nice and not too sweet. Staff are friendly and welcome too. I will come back for sure to try other dishes.

A good friend recommended this cute cafe. We ordered the Pad Khee Mao- stir fried thick flat noodles with chilli, egg, vegetables and herbs; Veggie delight Tom Yum pasta with mushroom, red onion, cherry tomato, Thai herbs and tom yum sauce; and Thai milk tea. Really enjoyed the Veggie delight tom yum pasta. Was a little sceptical at first but it turned out quite tasty. The milk tea was a little sweet but love the flavour. I would as for it to be less sweet next time. The Pad Khee Mao was ok. I like the spice in it. Would love to come back to try the thick toast though!

Been there a month ago for dinner. Food was great but the cake was even better. So good that i ordered 2 cakes for my birthday. Will come back to try more.

Hidden gem located in the middle of Vic Park (quiet side of vic park?). Lovely thai food and love staff! Their thai milk tea is a must try, so is their tomyum pasta, which wasnt too spicy as I can’t take spicy at all. Very flavoursome pad thai too. Yet to try their toast as they look very tempting. A very good spot for lunch!

I ate here on the weekend and the service was so great, the staff were very nice and polite. I had the vegetarian pad Thai and it was tasty and good value. My chum had the fried prawns in Tom yam sauce which unique and really delicious. The cakes in the display looked awesome, I’ll have to try them next time. The cafe has cute decor as well. Great place for lunch or simply a coffee and cake

Quaint little place that serves both western and Thai style food. Came for breakfast and had a ham and cheese croissant and scrambled eggs on toast with mushroom(sorry about the half eaten food pics... we were starving!) The food is very fairly priced and the staff are really friendly, Excited to try this place or for lunch!

Cosy cafe. Not really pram friendly when it's packed but there's a few high chairs available. I had the chicken pad Thai $14 and Thai milk tea toast $20. It's quite pricey but the food is good. I'd go back to try their other desserts!

A really superb experience. Forget about the white-fella breakfast (bacon, eggs) -I'm sure it's lovely, but the star, the diva, is the Honey Toast. Not bread with honey, but wonderfully fluffy lovechild of bread and pastry with a pile of icecream, sauce, toasted almond ( I had the milky tea) - all served on an adorable elephant shaped platter. - looked EXACTLY like the photo. The service was efficient, whisking a bottle of cold water on the table, pretty much before i knew what was happening. The ambiance is good (I was there off peak - friday 10am, so what it's like on week ends is hard to say) exactly right for a lazy book and/or paper session. My criticisms: the toast takes around 10 to 15 minutes to prepare, no problem, but it would have been nice if the girl had asked 'is that Ok' before taking my money! 2. The decor is a little schitzophrenic - can't quite decide if it want's to be a funky-pop cafe or a thai cafe - which makes the photo of the Thai Royal family and the picture of the shrine look rather out of place: either wear the Thai with pride and make a funky-fusion or hide the Thai stuff (I vote former)

Been here a number of times, now. Never been disappointed. Food is always great, as is whatever I have to drink. Trying the Thai Ice Coffee for the first time, and it is very nice on this hot day, coffee flavour not too strong or weak. The music playing over their system is always cool and retro. Today is the Beatles so far. The food hasn't come out yet, The Big Breakfast for me, and the Brekkie wrap for my other half, but we know it will be wonderful.

Piyawat’s Thai Milk Tea Toast was the highlight of my meal. Probably the best I have had since my first encounter with the amazing buttery bread in Taiwan. Fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside with generous amount of butter. Then you have the silky Thai milk tea which was silky smooth and fragrant ..

I love their thai milk tea and the almond thins. Although I also like their honey toast i do feel the bread is not "toastie" enough. Tried the breakfast but maybe i ordered something too common, an egg, bacon and toast. Definitely gonna try their other foods and give a review on that. Its a nice place to chill out and relax or for take away.

Really lovely staff. Great coffee and the honey toast is really awesome ..tasted like a mix between a donut, French toast and a croissant! Hidden gem in Vic park.

We had a very relax teatime here the other day (with babies!). The environment is really quiet and the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating. I really like the Thai sweet toast; my only complain would be the price though. I swear I would stomach more if it was a few bucks cheaper.

We went to Piyawat for coffee and sweets on Sunday afternoon. The sweets, including the mango sticky rice and black sticky rice were delicious and generous sized as well. The coffees were also very good. However, the standout was their service. We had our 90+ year old grandma with us who is in a wheel chair and couldn't sit on a stool. The team were very accommodating and happy to reorganise their cafe so that we could sit inside with our grandma! Thank you for making this a lovely experience for us and for the delicious sweets! Will definitely be back to try out the lunch!

Great service and beautiful food a little on the pricy side for Orange Juice but ultimately worth it.
Tastie and loved the sauce as it added that extra spice and heat.

Decent taste but really small portion and really expensive price.

Worth to try but I will not come back probably. I am sure there is better breakfast place nearby

Nice coffee and my brownie was pretty standard cafe fare, not bad, but not amazing. Service was great, friendly and fast despite being close to closing time. Will come again.

We had a little coffee and cake here on the weekend. Yummo. The staff were lovely and friendly, serving us quickly. I ordered the passionfruit tart and he had the chocolate mousse cake (but helped himself to mine too). With 2 takeaway young coconut milk rice puddings in my possession we were out the door. Give it a try.

Love the Thai Tea Latte and fusion dessert. Passionate menu, authentic Thai food with friendly service only thing is the serving time takes a little longer than usual.

I went here with enjoygodblessing and a couple other mums.
We had:
spinach spring roll..never tried it before..something different
Tom yum prawn, basil chicken and prawn fried rice.
We also had ice Thai chai latte, definitely recommend this one. Something different and I 😍😍😍😍😍
Love places that open in the morning! Piyawat opens from 8am to 6pm everyday. Today was the second time I visit, with Asian's Taste we had the tom yum prawn, chicken basil, spinach roll and fried rice. Previously I had the tom yum prawn on sourdough toast which I think is better than rice :) ice thai milk tea is good if u drink it quickly, they put too much ice so when it's melted the taste goes bland... Honey toast was nice and fulfilling
