Review Sushi-train - Victoria Point

We are regular orders of chicken curry but the one we recieved today via uber eats from.this local sushi shop was really poor. It was $19.90 (we bought two) and was supposed to come with a drink each which we didn't recieve either. The curry itself was bulked up with potato, carrot and peas and only had 4 strips of chicken. The chicken had an awful texture which I'd describe as rubbery and perhaps a tad undercooked. Needless to say I didnt finish it. It was also bordering cold. Very dissatisfied and I do not recommend.

Friendly staff, fresh sushi, great variety and priced very well. If you’re in the area and you like sushi. We highly recommend a visit. On that note, we’d visit again. Thanks for having us.

Very decent sushi place has not got the true Japanese atmosphere quite right but has decent food although don't expect the hot dishes like dumplings to be hot, probably only because in house dining is a little slow and not many using the train. Good value and worth a shot.

Always great quality, and great service. They make the sushi fresh when you order instead of pulling it off the train.

Sushi was average and looked soggy from sitting on the train too long. The train was packed full of bowls that have been sitting there for ages. As we walked in, no one greeted us, the staff didn't attend to us to ask if we would like to order anything, they would ask us for proof of vaccination but were not consistent with others coming in. Pretty disappointing.

Sushi is great however the chefs in the middle come across very anti social and need to show more respect to the staff on the floor and not laughing behind their backs.

The variety of food and dishes on the belt are limited and non-appealing. The Asian staff members aren’t authentic as they’re not Japanese. The food I have ordered lack in freshness. The rice was mushy and stuck together. The salmon on the salmon nigiri lacked firmness and had a soft texture to it. The store played songs with inappropriate language, which included the n - word. Overall the staff were friendly and accommodating, however the food lacked in quality.

They used to be so good when they started the business but sushi itself is getting smaller and smaller.

We having been coming here for some time when it was formerly Sushi Train and been very happy. Unfortunately, tonight’s experience was not the same.

Service was not good as I had to get a few things myself and work hard to get staff attention to order things not on the train. On that note, the menu has been scaled back with a number of items we liked no longer available.

The salmon was a bit chewy and the avocado not fresh with many brown spots. No salt on the edamame beans whatsoever. The veggie tempura and sauce was just bland. Items that are normally out together with care for their appearance just seemed slapped together. Overall quality was a long way from what we had previously experienced.

I doubt I will go back unless there are no other options In the local area which is sad. Sorry I could not be more positive but this was our experience.
