Review The Victoria Hotel Restaurant - Wagga Wagga

Food was good. The roast pork. But the apple sauce was disgusting all you can taste was beer. You need to just have apple sauce only.

We love the Vic Hotel atmosphere but feel the meals and service need to improve. After a few times choosing the Vic for dinner have felt let down...running out of special meals ...not enough staff to properly clean tables after use in busy times...but also just not enough special feel about the whole experience...needs to lift....don't reduce staff!!

Waited for 45 minutes for our food. The burger patty on my cheeseburger was burnt to a crisp and tasted of nothing so much as sawdust. The onion rings were soggy and luke warm. The salad dressing was overloaded with vinegar. A very unpleasant meal.

Great atmosphere- but waited an hour and a half for dinner which our large group had to return several meal as over cooked or under cooked. Seems to be a shortage of staff kitchen and bar we wont be returning for a good while

Had a great night all food ordered was delicious and has been a long time since I have found a true chicken Kiev that was absolutely delicious. Thanks very much.

Lovely hotel with pool tables, cheap beer and really helpful and friendly staff. Did not actually eat here but the food we saw looked great.

Had dinner here yesterday, great food and good atmosphere. This'll be my new local.

4pm on a Tuesday. Bar staff were very friendly and helpful. Food on offer through the day and children allowed with an adult. Good food at a reasonable price. Lady at restaurant didn't really seem like she wanted to be at work. Not at counter and needed to be located. Asked if the food was open and lady said yes and then walked away. Really. Finally ordered a Kiev with mash and veg. Got chips instead. When I explained the mix up the food was transferred to another plate at the counter without any apology. Most of the Kiev sauce was left on the plate. A sensible move would have been to removed the chips and replace with mash, or remade, like any other restaurant.

Went for dinner, What an experience. 6 at our table, one got tiny and dry ribs, another 2 got ribs and wings to share that could feed one person at the most with dry ribs again and tiny little wings. The last guy had his beer knocked over while the waitress put his meal down, made a joke of it and replaced his beer, left him to clean it up himself. To top off this awesome meal, an older couple near us never got their food. After speaking to management and leaving, the staff were laughing at the couple once they left. You get Better food and service at guantanamo bay.

Polite, responsive and professional staff. Great food, amazing value specials. I always come to Vic when visiting Wagga. You cannot afford not to dine here. No wonder all the food outlets on the main drag look empty while Vic Hotel always has a sizeable crowd in its dining area. I wholeheartedly recommend it. The portions are rather large.

Lazy and Arrogant Asked for a Snitzel with Diane mash and veg. Got a burnt Snitzel with chips and salad no Diane. It was like they deliberately tried to get everything as wrong as they could. As well as that the dude at the front blatantly lied to us saying that the food service had stopped when it was still running for 45 minutes. Must be pretty easy having control of the nightlife in Wagga ... Who cares if you don’t care about your diners and the quality of your food is terrible, as long as people keep buying drinks the Vics bottom line looks sweet.

Great atmosphere, big choice of great food (big serves!), and excellent service! Nice cool air conditioning and a lovely outside area. The place was packed-on a week night! The perfect place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal for a weary traveller on a hot night!

Bit disappointed in our lunch being hanging out to try the February special lamb burger with the added bonus of haloumi fries got there for lunch ordered early when the burgers came NO haloumi fries quick apology from the waitress if we had known when we ordered would have changed the order. When you have posters around the pub promoting the special as well as on the board would it not be appropriate to make sure everything is available esp at 12.15pm on a Tuesday and if it's not at least let the customer know in advance.

Had my 60th birthday lunch there on the 22nd July with family. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too hard. A large crowd there that day but we were served meals fairly quickly and no one had a complaint. In fact all said what nice food, atmosphere and day they had.

My partner and I had dinner there last night. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The ribs we're dry, fatty and basically inedible. I asked for a medium rare crispy skin salmon, what I got was soggy skin, overcooked unseasoned fish and a regret of spending so much on something that we could of cooked better ourselves. This is the 2nd time of extreme disappointment. There will not be a 3rd.

I just had the the best rib eye steak .. I've not seen pub food this good anywhere

Found ourselves in Wagga on a Monday night whilst travelling. We went here for American night- it was great! Fog Horn Leg Horn hot dogs, Rock Star pancakes and $1 pool games. Staff were lovely and courteous. Thank you.

The food at the Vic is always good, always. Serving sizes are a bit too generous, a nice easy place to sit for a while and nice atmosphere.

Not saying that it's always good but the flathead fish & chips I had on Sunday was the best ever - not too heavily battered but hot and crispy. Guys keep it up I love the atmosphere in Vic Hotel :)
