Review Thorne St Cafe - Wagga Wagga

Sam Brown
Wife insists this is the best B&E burger in Wagga. Cafe has a couple of dog friendly outdoor seating areas, one of them undercover in case of rain. We have been here often. Staff are always friendly and wait times have never been too long. There is a nice park just across the road with tables and playgrounds if you want more space for children or pets.

Very satisfying breakfast burger. Coffee’s on point & location is great opposite the park. Quite busy.

Lovely location and shop and cafe. The older female staff member was lovely and friendly and cafe at the back was warm and cosy. Our first visit today coffee was hot however our regular size cofees tasted a bit milky and my mocha was not very chocolatey tasting. Was also expensive 11 dollars something for 2 regular coffees.

Very cosey premises. Hearty home made pumpkin soup with crusty bread. Delicious. Could have been hotter. Odd arrangement of ordering in takeaway section but having to go outside again and around side of building to sit inside. Self serve water bottles and cutlery. Table service of the meal itself.

As busy as they were today, our drinks came out in less than 5 mins and food less than 10! Best Eggs Benedict I've ever had, brilliant, friendly service with a smile

Best Vegan Burger I have had in Aus, made with the most delicious mexican fritters and that delicious fresh slaw was awesome. Proper tea, too. Keep up the good work Guys & Gals.

The food was good but unfortunately I had encountered a rude staff. I had ordered soy chai latte, and I was served a chai that was really coffee (and I am sensitive to caffeine). Unfortunately I overheard the staff swear and all that about it and it left a sour taste with my dining experience there. The person who served me said I didn't say latte (and I did but I was wearing a mask at the time). I understand that there can be misunderstanding but there was no need to be rude about it. I did contact them to make a complaint when I got to my car as I didn't want to make a scene. They apologised but of course I didn't get my money back or acknowledgement when I went back there. I understand that the person who spoke to me did speak with that staff, but undoubtedly it left a bad taste with my experience there. Word of advice to the staff, customers can hear things. Food can be great but rudeness does turn people off.

Great service from the young team. We were greeted with a smile and offered suggestions! Our meals were served within ten minutes of ordering. They offered to keep a table out for us as we turned up later in the afternoon due to working in retail. The service, food and value for money is second to none. Parking is really easy. This is the place to go in Wagga! Thanks for your hospitality today we will be back!

I was at your store on the 25th of June 2016 ordered a small hot chocolate and 2 ham and tomato toasted sandwiches. I got my hot chocolate and got told my sandwich was not going to be long. Then 5 mins later was told again they were coming and this continues for another 10mins so nearly after 20 mins of ordering I got my toasted Sandwiches which were very very poor not were they cold the way they were made was not good either and now for 2 toasties just made I was expecting them to be nice and hot on a freezing cold day! The bread was not toasted was just warm like it had been on the toaster for a quick few seconds and when I open my sandwich I was even More disappointed 2 bits of ham and 2pieces yes 2pieces of 1/4 of a tomato now I did not just pay just shy of $20 for a very very poor sandwich and a very long wait — at Thorne Street General Store

I love this place so much. They make the best caramel lattes, and the staff are so friendly.

1 toasted Ham and Cheese sandwich only on one side, 1 toasted turkey sandwich only on one side, 1 ice coffee and 1 pineapple juice $30.70. Ripped off never again

Lovely girls, great coffee. Sad that you can't get a side of cream (I mean cream, not the canned stuff that was put into my coffee). I can get it at other coffee shops in town.

I'm from Perth as was over in Wagga in November. Went to this little gem. Fantastic . Wish something was there when I lived there years ago. Staff so so friendly x

We liked the setting and the service was good but we were surprised our cakes came out on paper plates and our coffee was served in takeaway cups. For the price we paid, it was a bit disappointing

One of my fav coffee shops in Wagga! Perfect spot opposite Collins Park. And I love that you have lactose free milk! Thanks Thorne Street!

I must say, if you want a great flavoured milkshake, give the new watermelon flavour a try! You'll have to have it again :-) That said, the rest of the flavours are addictive also!!

dropped in and had a few coffees at Thorne St. Always excellent tasting. I have been during rush hour, (lunch) and there was hardly any wait, enjoyed the ambience. Loved the pulled pork roll. Wished this incarnation was here when the kids were into Collins Park. Such a beautiful park. Love your idea of picnic rugs and chairs to take over. Congratulations.
