Delicious food! We were there on a Tuesday evening when they have a steak special. It was DELICIOUS! Best steak I've had in quite a while! And for dessert, we had an amazing chocolate lava cake. I'd be back regularly except that I live in Melbourne.
For a lunch up north after a cancelled lecture, we drove to Reel on Redleaf, excited to try some of the amazing dishes on offer! We ordered off the lunch menu, and I had the steak with potato and fried and caramelised onions. It was really well cooked, and quite hearty rather than tender, with the accompanying jus adding a punch of flavour to the steak. I also loved the fried potato croquettes, which were crispy on the outside and soft and flaky on the inside, with the contrasting textures making for a great mouthful.
Saw the high ratings and good reviews so thought we would give it a try for a nice birthday dinner. Safe to say we weeny disappointed. The staff were lovely and friendly. It had. Lovely casual feel and the food was really great amd was a reasonable price. A definite winner.
Have been using urbanspoon for nearly a month, been to about 10 restaraunt. But ne'er wrote a review. Today I have to say, it is really really awesome. Definitely my new favorite!!!!! 200% surprised and satisfied!!!!!!absolutely beyond my expectation !!!!
Delicious!. Great food, full of flavour. Friendly service, we were outside and very well attended without being crowded. The menu has variety of choice with something for everyone. The prawns were sensational. Overall good value for money, about $60pp 3 for courses. We happily recommend this one.
Went to Reel on Redleaf for our anniversary last night -- very special place. It may be out in the 'burbs (near Wahroonga station) but the dining is outstanding and the service excellent. My only complaint would be that they wouldn't tell me how they could make something as plain as linguine SO tasty ;) (something to do with the saffron).

Wow! What a meal. Great food, great service (even though there wasn't an empty table in the house), reasonable prices - and all 5 minutes from home! Wahroonga Village has been crying out for Reel - well done guys, we so enjoyed our night with you.
Service was impeccable & very friendly. Quality of food was ok - a bit too expensive for what it is though. I found the toilet facilities annoying - having to request a key & then walk outside etc. Shame about that. I'd go back to Reel but probably for lunch only. Paula
A Once in 3 months place to go. My husband took me there on my birthday. It was most unexpected as we live pretty close to the place. However, we always wanted to eat there, looking at the crowd the cafe contained. We ordered a bottle of sparkling wine, potted liver plate and bagels for the entree, chicken kiev and steak for the main, and tiramisu and creme brulee for desert. Except for the Tiramisu, the other dishes were excellent. I tried by best not to leave a single bite behind. The combination of salads and wedges were also most unusual. The service was impeccable and the presentation neat. I had a wonderful time. Now reaching the areas that could be improved - the ambience of the cafe is fair. Nothing extravagant. A little dash of colour on the walls or a painting somewhere would do wonders. Most importantly, the portions served are extremely small. We were just two of us and we spend $122! Now i don't mind spending that kind of money for excellent taste and quality. However, one needs to have a three course meal in order to be full. Am sure that works for the cafe but gets a little hard on the pocket if you think of being a regular.
All in all, a great place, a great chef and great staff.
