Review Chargrill Charlies - Wahroonga

Ordered two original chicken burgers and a family chips. The burgers were dry and flavourless, could barely see let alone taste any mayo (we had to add our own). The family size fries were almost all entirely overcooked and honestly, inedible. Pictured are the ones that were closest to edible I hand selected and moved to my burger container (and STILL needed some mayo to cover the overcooked taste). $15 worth of destroyed potato (the few on the top were strategically placed after the server saw how bad they were.. we thought he was being generous at the time and filling the bag… turns out it to was to cover 98% of the bags contents) I’m honestly far from picky, but in all seriousness, this was really really bad.

Always love stopping here on my way out of Sydney. It's the tiniest shop and they are always busy but staff are unfailingly friendly and polite. Servings are generous and the food is delicious. Both my partner and I had a 1/4 chicken dinner tonight - could easily have shared. Good value, good food.

Make a great meat balls dish and friendly service however all their rice options are just rubbish and yucky. Why not make a good old fashioned nice jasmine rice? Chicken drumsticks taste weird. And the beef bourguignon I tried a second time but just as rubbery as the first time. They make some nice salads but their hot food is very average.

No common sense with the salads! They don’t give enough dressing. So you ask for “a little bit more.” Then they swamp it’s with 10X the amount of dressing. You say it is too much dressing and they slap you with an angry look. So they make the salad again… but it’s not mixed properly and once again, does not have enough dressing. I have had this fiasco several times. The issue is, the staff who make these salads have never tasted the salads (probably don’t eat salads or vegetables…). So naturally they have no common sense when it comes to the dressing.

Normally pretty good except when busy orders get mixed up. Vegie burger is very squishy, wet-like and falls apart. Not a pleasant experience. The meat burgers are better. I would skip the fries & vegie burger . Overall staff are friendly

I couldn't believe this place. It's a tiny, order at the counter and either take it away or try for one of the few sidewalk tables kind of place. The selection of meats, salads, vegetables and other dishes is extraordinary. You can choose the size of the container, and they load it up as full as they can. The food was tasty, local, unique and fast, even when the line is long. I wish this place was available near my work in the states. It's reasonably priced, and I'd go there all the time.

Can someone please open another Chicken Roll/Burger shop around the corner already? I have had a Chicken Roll Combo twice at this place, and have been disappointed both the times. The food was super lame and over-priced at $17.50. On top of that I was asked for extra $2.50 for dips. $20 for that super dull combo? Never ever ever again!

Not very covid safe, but great chicken, good salads and tasty chips
