The lady who was behind the counter last night explained "Your fish shrank in the grill, we added a piece, that's why you waited." and handed my order to me(I didn't even ask). I thanked her and left thinking they must be tired. Came home to find out there was no fish in it, and chips were cold. I
Darrons USED TO BE GOOD. However there has a been a decline in quality and care of cooked foods. The Fish Taco grilled fish with Cajun seasoning was good, now it's like a wet diaper with salad dressing just pouring out. Chicken salt on Pineapple fritters, really lol and fish and chips just soaking

Hidden gem on the way to the entrance. Love the food and great service. Fish taco is a must try! All seafood is very fresh! Highly recommended!
The best seafood I've had for a long time! Generous serving of fish with big chunky chips, lemon wedges and tartar sauce. Next time I'll try the prawn cutlets and the calamari.

The worst value for money on the coast. $10 for a piece of fish that compares to the size of a chip or a cutup piece of lemon!. I have never had a fish this small.. A central coast institution. Best chippies in town. Went back for the first time in years and was disappointed to see that the self serve chicken salt/sauces/vinegar selection wasn't what it used to be.
