Always 5☆ We have never had a bad meal here! The $10 schnitzel is the best value for money around and is DELICIOUS! The chicken ceasar burger is amazing as well! Hubby is a fan of steak burger. Great atmosphere and relaxing environment.
The weekly lunch specials of the chicken schnitzel or T-bone steak for $10 is outstanding value. Food is perfectly cooked and delicious, so fresh.

Having dined at The Shack Restaurant many, many times and I have never had a less than wonderful meal. Great place to catch up with friends, have a drink and enjoy the atmosphere. Family friendly, and convenient location close to the lake.

I believe this would be one of the best all round hotels in the Newcastle/ lake McQuarrie area. It accomidastes for your children with a great playground area. Or free wifi for the older ones a beautiful big beer garden area. You can also get some of the most superb meals there at the most reasonable price of any hotel or restaurant in the whole region. Also every time I have been the it has had a brilliant atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyable all rounder.

Great food is always on offer! A regular dinner spot for us!
We stayed up stairs in the accommodation area. The room was on the small size but the room was very clean, fresh and tidy. Best of all the air con worked really well. Would stay there again. Meals in the bisto where beautiful and excellent value for money.
Awesome chef specials and daily specials. Great service. Hotel Wangi has become our regular haunt.

We haven't eaten here for a while but the quality of the meals have stayed right up there. The garlic bread here is a better ratio of flavour Vs bread quantity, the Chicken Schnitzel &Veg was cooked perfectly and the Beef & Bean Nachos was so full of flavour. Can't wait to return!
Meals are near perfection as was the friendly service but the pool table calls were so loud in the outer dining area that we near sh-t ourselves every time his booming voice came over the speakeras and it put a slight damper on the atmosphere.
The service here is great and the food is even greater! I dont visit all that often, but when i do, i always come out feeling pleased with my experience. My biggest gripe about this restaurant would be the wait time for food, although i can understand that this place gets busy of night, especially Fridays. I give this a ...

The Hamburger was very tasty and great value.
My wife had the Pasta and struggled to rat it all.
Our Son had a steak and loved the gravey.
Always good food friendly staff and great value for money.
Excellent mains, great list of entrees and breads, I recommend booking although there is more seating in the pub or out in the garden area. Great Pub as well.
