Best Thai restaurant in the area. Our local favourite. The wagyu beef is delicious, our staples are Pad Thai with prawns and Penang curry. Also love the red duck curry + grilled chicken fillets. Great service, always packed on weekends. We received our delivered dinner tonight and they wrote "Thank You, We Love You" as expression of their gratitude through this crisis. Good luck through this difficult time look forward to coming back when restaurants re-open xx
Came here with a few friends tonight for a Thai meal. I have visited their sister restaurant in Plenty Valley at its launch so was keen to get a similar great experience... albeit with friend who eat a lot less than my previous dining buddy.
We stuck to. On alcoholic drinks tonight but launched straight into some delicious mains. I had the chicken pad see iw while others shared the wagyu beef and a vegetarian rice dish.
I really enjoyed the flavours in my flat noodle dish and others commented on how tender the wagyu was. All agreed that mains sizes were not sufficient on their own and you needed a entree or sides to have a filling meal.
Note that current menu on Zomato is different to that in the restaurant so don’t make your selection in advance or you might be disappointed.
Have to say, I was very impressed with Kinn Thai. I went on a extremely busy Saturday night. They were packed full and yet we still got excellent service and excellent food.
Sticky pork ribs were delicious and sweet. Egg noodles with beef were tangy and fresh. And the lamb shoulder massaman was creamy and delicious! Cocktails were on point 👌🏽
The only negative is that my booking (which I did over the phone earlier that day) was not on the sheet, when we arrived at the door and this meant we waited for a table.
Where have you been all my life? Hands down..the best thai food I have ever tried. The 2 items hubby and I got from the menu were the Massaman beef curry with sweet potatoes and gang phed ped yang (duck with pineapple and lychee). The servings were plenty! I really can't tell which of the 2 I liked more... I have been to a few other high end thai places but the taste at Kinn Thai was an unbeatable foodgasm and I can't rave enough. I think we both wiped out the entire plate, leaving nothing behind. Will come again to try more.
This was my first time at Kinn Thai. Our food did not take too long to arrive. I ordered a chicken pad thai. The portion size was alright. I liked that the pad thai wasn’t too sweet. But the chicken was a little dry. The pad thai tasted great with a squeeze of lemon.
For $17 the pad thai was worth a try.
We were in some kind of diet mood on this day, so we thought to have just a soup. Tom yum soup was mid spicy. But it was tasty. Loved the smell of the spices. 👍
Easily Knox’s yummiest restaurant. It’s packed any night of the week so go early. Great food menu, though I always get my fav pork in a spicy chilli 🌶 jam dish and then try other options like the spicy noodles and fried rice with a curry. Great cocktail menu too. Feels a bit celebratory when you want to go out for a meal and a great place to take friends visiting our side of the city.
The freshness of the ingredients translates to very vibrant flavours. We tried the 'Set 1' and were mostly impressed with the quality of food. The coconut chicken salad fell a bit short in terms of the unusual texture of the chicken, which may have been a result of the salad being overdressed.
Overall we were very pleased with our meal and would happily recommend it
3rd time here and always enjoyed the atmosphere. Curry is good and have a lot of variety. Don’t expect customer service here though, as staff are always busy doing something.
Located on the busy O-Zone food strip, Kinn Thai’s dishes are always packed with deliciously full flavours and mouth watering menu options. This place is always packed, so booking is definitely recommended. And despite its popularity and busyness, service is always prompt and attentive with very short wait times except for the wait to the seated during peak times.
Sunday Lunch with the family for my mum's bday, she has a thing for Asian food and felt it'd been a while since we've indulged in so Thai..... so here we are !
Such an extensive menu and spoilt for choice but in the end we all found a dish that suited our tastebuds, few plates of Chicken pad Thai, Massuman Lamb Shanks, Pork belly but the hero of the Day had to be my Chilli Jam Soft shell crab.... amazing does not even describe this as it was a delight from first to last bite. Now for the record I had never had this dish before and know it's quite a specialty in Thailand, this is something that I could eat all day everyday, the flavour was beyond amazing and had my tastebuds singing.
I need to return, thankfully I have a Kinn Thai closer to me at Plenty valley.
My family frequently dine here due to the quality of their food. My favourite is their Pad Thai - I highly recommend it! The flavour is amazing and I love the noodles they use.
The food here is always a culinary delight! We had the banquet and the level of spice and authentic flavours was on point! Only downside to this place is that customer service is a little bit slow and you do need to flag someone down constantly if you need something. Otherwise I love coming here as it has a great atmosphere and food comes out quick!
This place was great. Seating was quite fast, and service was polite.
Portions are worth the price in my opinion and it’s definitely a good place to go if you want to share a few dishes with rice with others.
Only complaint that I have is that it is hard to get the waitresses attention sometimes (even when they’re free), and the food is really sweet? It feels like they put sugar in it.
Would definitely come again to try more.
Delicious Thai food in Wantirna that’s a definite must to visit. Customer service is also good. The only improvement that I can suggest is probably improve on their proportion size - bigger proportion sizes would be great 😊
We have always loved the food at Kinn Thai in Knox. We had the Pork Ribs / Panang Curry / Barramundi Curry / Cashew Nut Chicken / Crispy Fried Chicken. Washed it all down with a Thai Iced Milk Tea. Simply Yum!

Lovely conventional Thai dishes. Curries are delightful. The Massamun Lamb Shank and the Crispy Barramundi Fillet (soy sauce) are "must try" dishes. The Coconut Chicken salad combines sweet and salty flavours, it's very tasty. Nice outside area. Service is fine, however, it could be better.
One of the best Thai restaurant in Melbourne’s eastern suburb. Especially the soft sell crab, crispy, rich in flavour.
Definitely come back to have the chilli jam soft sell crab again!
This has got to be the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten in Melbourne. I couldn’t fault any of the dishes. The flavours were amazing and I would highly recommend the soft shell crab dish with the special sauce. 10/10 for taste, 10/10 for cleanliness, 10/10 for service. Must try!!!!
I have converted every person I've brought here into a Kinn regular. We usually get the pad thai, chicken skewers, roti and golden tofu, but honestly, everything is really nice. Drinks selection is great too.

The staff are friendly and helpful and it has a great vibe to it. It has seating both inside and outside with heating so cold melbourne weather doesn’t spoil your meal.
It is a great menu and the potion sizes are quite generous.
Have been here a number of times. On one occasion which was a cold rainy day went there with a group of friends and was looking for something warm to drink. My friend who had tried their hot thai milk tea asked if they still served it. It was discontinued but the waitress checked with her manager and said she’ll make it for us. It was just so yummy! Bring it back guys!
Another must try is the sweet chilli soft shell crab! It’s Devine! Order it with either jasmine rice or fried rice of choice and you won’t be disappointed.
The crab roles in the entree was delicious too.
Overall, it’s a pretty nice place with great food and service. Will definitely be back:)
Kinn Thai in Knox ozone. I did not expect to have such authentic Thai food restaurant in this area. Quite nice environment and I came in the lunch time with fewer customers. The staff was friendly and I order the Tom yum noodle soup with satay chicken skewers. Honestly I still had room to eat more after the whole meal. Size is a bit small for lunch special but soup tastes so good so sour and so freshly made Tom yum soup. Definitely will come back to try more Thai food.
When we arrived for our booking the place was packed, but was seated promptly and given menus.
Menus are great with clear descriptions and pictures.
Their cocktails list is expansive and the red angel was delicious 🍸🍹

I have been here a few times. The quality of food is always consistent. Let's start with the dishes that are ordinary. The pork ribs lack flavour, crispy baramundi is nothing special. However, the chilli jam dish is such a delight. Perfect balance of sweet, spicy and creaminess. This dish is a must try. The kana moo krob is not bad either.
This place can get busy for dinner on the weekend. So call up and make reservation.

So I honestly don't even know where to begin with this place. If you want an authentic Thai restaurant with amazing Thai flavours you need to try it! Especially the Tom Yum soup on a cold night, amazing although be warned, it's spicy. I have been to this place several times and it's definitely the best real Thai I've had. Unfortunately I have no photos because I'm always so excited to get it n my belly! It's in the burbs (Knox City Ozone - across from the cinema) so if you're close by I'd recommend dropping in to try it out.
Came here for dinner with a large group last night. Despite being really busy the service was super fast and the food came out very quickly. I ordered one of the betel leaves to try as i had never had it before and it was delish!! Ordered some chicken satay skewers to share, they were nice but nothing special. The soft shell crab though was amazing. The sauce had a perfect balance of flavours. I could have that over and over again.
Went here today & the service was once again fast & very friendly. The prices for the items were also very reasonable. I got the curry puffs to have with a friend & pad see iw with beef for the main. I’ve never had curry puffs before and have to say these ones were delicious! I loved them they weren’t very spicy but they had lots of flavour and spices in them. The pad see iw was good too. I love the noodles & had a good amount of meat in it too.
Good vibe at night. Service was polite food were very tasty. The cocktail were pretty and good amount of alcohol. Will try other dishes next time.
One of the best thai restaurants in Melbourne (for the price) dishes are exceptionally tasty, i have tried at least 6-7 o different dishes and haven't been disappointed with any.

The interior is really nice, and perfect for a dinner for two or a large group of 12.

Thai Milk Tea: Very flavoursome & creamy
Soft Shell Crab in Chilli Jam: Wow, this dish honestly blows my mind every time. I always order it every time I go. The crab is crispy & the chilli jam is so tasty
Pad Thai: Very flavoursome, with noodles that are nice and soft.
The staff are really nice. Food came out in good time
I’ve been coming to Kinn for the past two years. I love the refreshing betal leaf in warm weather and staff know this of me. In colder weather, I’ve loved the tamarind pork. The tofu is amazing.
Tonight I tried the crispy chicken wings and loved how they were presented. Broken down into small pieces and lovely to dip.
Great experience as always.
My partner, father in law and I had dinner here tonight. Everything came out in prompt time and the meals were delicious so much as we took leftovers home.
Reasonably priced for the quality of the food and the service was good.
Will return and definitely will be ordering takeaway as well!
We came for lunch on a Sunday and were seated immediately. We decided to order a few dishes to share. My favourites were the soft shell crab and crispy barramundi. The barramundi was fresh and cooked to perfection and the sauce that came with the soft shell crab was packed full of flavour. The green curry was quite mediocre because it was watery. Service was friendly and efficient.
Great value and delicious food. We have revisited a few times and it has always been consistent. Would recommend chilli jam soft shell crab, the curries and papaya salad. Service may be a little slow owing to how busy the restaurant is. But overall fantastic place for a tasty dinner.

I was delighted to be invited to this brand new hotspot in the recently opened Westfield dining complex. This is the second melbourne based restaurant in their empire and Zomato has directed us to review on this link so we will do so (the venues share the same menu).
To begin we chose the petite satay skewers which had a delicious peanut sauce. We also had the prawn betel leaf which is generally one of my favourite dishes and this rendition did not disappoint. These were definitely the standouts for me entree wise. Washed down with a couple of sensational mocktails that were so delicious you won’t even miss the alcohol. Sweet valentines and Koh Samui sunrise were both stellar.
Massamun beef with a side of a roti and a pad see ew were our choice of mains. Both quite tasty but I found the noodle dish slightly salty owing to the addition of black beans. That’s not something I’ve typically seen in a pad see ew before but the prawns were certainly plump and plentiful. The roti was also exceptionally flaky. Undoubtedly a great Thai restaurant and I wouldn’t mind returning to try the pad Thai!
The food is always very good here however the portions have definitely gotten smaller. The service is very quick but it’s not always good being squeezed so close next to other diners, especially on busy nights when there seems to be more tables squeezed in. Nonetheless the price is okay (was reasonable until the serving sizes become smaller), food is delicious and quick service.
Have been here several times and never feel disappointed，today we ordered squid and satay chicken as entree，BBQ pork belly，Penang beef curry and soft shell crab as main and everyone enjoy it.

Came a few times for lunch over the months and have not had to queue up. I have noticed that the serving sizes have become smaller over time, prices not any cheaper.
I did enjoy the massaman lamb shank, curry was rich and tasty and roti was nice soaked in the curry. The crab in soft shell crab with papaya salad was nice, you can see the bits of crab meat, salad dressing was very much on the sour side. The pad thai tasted pleasant, not too sweet just the portion size is too small. The mocktail was sweet and soothing, I enjoyed this very much.

Went there with a lot of friends. We shared dishes and i dont really know all the dishes names since i didnt order them. The restaurant looks really nice and fancy, and it was packed on friday night. Eventhough the restaurant is big, there arent much space between tables. It got pretty noisy too. Foods are tasty, i found the dishes arent the usual Thai. They have a lot more dishes than other thai places like ribs, crabs. And the curry was richer than usual thai curries i had. Massaman curry was good and soft shell crab dish is good too, eventhough the sauce is really really sweet. Pad thai is good and the pork ribs are yummy! Green curry was ok. Golden tofu is nice. Lamb curry was very tender. The eggplant spicy dish was very fragrant. Overall the food is good, but portion isn’t big.
Easily the busiest restaurant in Ozone midweek and I can see why. Good Thai food and decent size servings. Ingredients were fresh and well cooked.
The staff were friendly but seemed quite inexperienced. It’s literally freezing inside the restaurant and they apparently have no control over the temperature. Not the most ideal situation as you have to sit outside just to get warm under the heaters. Might be nice to sit inside during the summer though.
Just ordered this for dinner off Menulog~ Was absolutely delicious I drove my partner crazy with my "oh my god" and "mmm's" haha. One criticism is how expensive it is, some of the dishes seem so expensive i would just never try them sadly. ( Looking at you massaman beef ) Spicy noodles were so delicious, mind you need to take mouthfuls of the raw pepper with each bite to make it spicy :) which i loved! PS delivery lady was adorable and super friendly!
The staff are always lovely. And For what you pay. The food is good. Sometimes depending on day and time, food can come a bit rushed and lacking flavour. But majority of the time its good:) Better then many restaurants in the area! Which i have been to. Which i have paid more for!
Best Thai food so far! My fave was the Chilli Crab with sauce. 😋 so good! Tom yum, pad thai, chicken fried rice and crispy pork belly are my faves. Service can be improved. Been here so many times now 👍🏻 price is also good. I finish my meal with their relaxing honey ginger tea 😊

Absolute favorite thai restaurant in the area!! Every single dish I have tried here has always been of generous size, fresh, and tastes absolutely amazing! Chicken fried rice being a favorite. Prices are fantastic, especially for the quantity and quality, attentive staff, and an open, comfortable atmosphere. Always recommend! Just check, or book ahead of time during peak hours as this place gets packed out!!
Kinn Thai is probably one of my favourite Thai restaurants here in Melbourne! Atmosphere and ambience is great! Staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious! It was tasty and refreshing. We had the green curry (highly recommended), crab and papaya salad (refreshing), golden tofu (beautiful texture), pork belly and lots more! The drinks were also amazing! Must try!
Thai is one of my favourite cuisines, so I had to try this. Been twice and can't fault the great tasting food, and will definitely be back, yet the portions are too small and over priced!!

Good Thai meal with quick service. Food is cheap and decent portion sizes. We enjoy their soft shell crab with nam Jim sauce, prawn fried rice, pad prihk king ( pork belly), spicy noodle and red curry duck.
If taking a pram, best to make a reservation!
Great Thai food, the staff are lovely and extremely happy to help with any needs that you may have, they have a few 'western melas' on the menu, inc. ribs, my suggestion would be to stick with the Thai stuff, they do it very well

Service was very attentive for a Wednesday night. The restaurant was about ¾ full and food and service was not lacking at all. Peanut sauce with the satay was smashing! Spicy noodle was not spicy at all, only two pieces of chilli but no sign of spicy sauce or flakes of any sort. Wish a little more was given too in comparison to pad Thai. Pad Thai was delicious and good quantity for $15 (chicken). Grilled chicken was smashing too! Love the food.

Everytime i come her i always ordered prawn fried rice and bettle leaf. The taste amazing and everytime i came, all the staff remembered my order. Awesome!

Went there for a quiet Wednesday lunch and the food there was amazing. The duck red curry was the best, loaded with fruity flavour because the pineapple and lychee inside. Soft shell crab is also I would recommend, the sauce is just enough for a dip and coconut cream is balance that sweet-sourness. Besides we ordered Tom Yum soup and Betel Leaf, and of course jasmine rice, which its softness is cooked perfectly. Also pleased by their interior decor too, with a fancy flowers hanging at front entrance and plants all over the place. Price is acceptable. Nice dining within Westfield Knoxfield.
Really like and ambience of this place. Good quality food and and average price though quantity is i feel was less. But I enjoyed having dinner on Friday, gets busy later so get in quick. Cashier was very polite and greeted like thai way.. surely will be going back.
Staff and environment was something worth coming back for, very spacious and inviting. The menu provides many delicious options for all and drinks selection looks pleasing to the eye. However, the food portions could be worked on in relation to the price. Overall, worth coming back to but can get pricey if you are very hungry.

Love this place - we go there at least every fortnight. Service is great and the food is always of a great standard. Our favourites are the petite chicken satay, the stir fried prawns in satay sauce and the pad prik khing, (stir fried crispy pork with chilli kaffir lime jam and green beans. The only complaint I have is that I wish there was a bit more the of jam! Its alway seems to be busy.

One of the places I always go with my mother, whenever we crave some good old Thai food! We came during the lunch rush, they were busy, but they served us very quickly. Once seated we ordered the classic Pad Thai (Prawns), Steamed Ginger fish along with a serving of rice. Our order came out fairly quick despite them being busy. The Pad Thai was delicious chewy noodles with a crunch from the fresh bean sprouts, the prawns were a pretty big decent size, overall a yummy flavoursome dish. The Steamed Ginger fish is my favourite here, simple but tasty, the fish is steamed to perfection, it's soft and you can really taste that ginger! We only order two dishes but they were filling! I would recommend Kinn Thai to any Thai food lover, great food, service and atmosphere!
Also I would recommend you order the Chilli Jam Crispy Soft Shell Crab and Pork Ribs, we didn't have it this time because it was only the two of us, but those two dishes are the absolute best, highly recommend them when you dine here.
We really enjoyed this place. The first time we got takeaway so we knew the food was going to be good but were pleasantly surprised when we saw how nice the restaurant and staff were as well on our second visit. I love their veggie and tofu stir fry, although the beans could've used a better trim, and the pad thai, which was not too sweet. The curries were good as well and the chicken wings were perfect bite size pieces. We will definitely be coming back regularly
The service is very quick, the staff are super busy but also very helpful, food quantity is generous, taste is undoubtedly YUMMY, and price is affordable. We will visit again for sure. Thank you for accommodating our group of 14 people without advance booking.
Food is pretty good! We ordered the chilli soft shell crab, panang curry and pad see iw. Tasted great! Would have expected more portion from the price we paid (based on our experience with other restaurants), but the 3 dishes filled us up well. All 3 dishes tasted good.
