Great creamy carbonara - what you need for quick easy takeaway (not the traditional style, uses cream, but still delicious) and great with gluten free options for pasta and pizza
A humble restaurant which will bring authentic Italian taste to your plate, with some of the best pizza and pasta in the area. The prices are a little heavier than other local takeaway places, but the quality surpasses this! The BBQ Meatlovers Pizza is beyond amazing, as like most of the pizza menu.
We've dined here many times over the years (upstairs in the restaurant). The food is consistently good, unpretentious, authentic and fresh. Last night's dinner was no exception. The veal schnitzel was tender and served with nicely cooked fresh vegetables and roast potatoes with gravy on the side. Enjoyed every mouthful and also the wine! Can't fault the service and value for money A+
The main draw here is the customer service. I have been here several times and each time I've been met by perhaps the most polite service I've ever experienced. All from various staff too. They make an effort to know about you and enquire about you. They have also been lifesavers for me on a few occasions, making pizza for me after the advertised business hours.
Having said that, the pizza is decent taste-wise, although in my experience quite salty. This might be due to a positive thing though, which is that they are very very generous with their toppings. Not following after your more traditional Italian style of pizza obviously, but here is a great local pizza place that deserves loyalty from the surrounding locals (like me).
Stellar restaurant, very friendly service and delectable food. The menu has a fantastic range of pizzas, pastas and mains, as well as a great variety of delicious desserts. Having tried a large portion of the menu items after dining with Fontains for years, I recommend it to everyone. The tiramisu on the dessert menu is incredible! I either dine in or home order from Fontains at least once a week - my undisputed local pizza restaurant!
Raining outside and a bit cold so made delivery order. Looking around delivery orders and decided to support local. Two large pasta and a pizza with drink under $40. Told me 40 minutes but came in 30 minutes. Maybe it was the owner who came to deliver cause he was not a pizza boy. It was not the best pasta ever but defiantly better than I expected under $40 value. We will order others later again.
Very good, authentic and fresh food. Pasta, risotto and ravioli is great. The service is great as well. Parking is also very easy at Wantirna Mall. Highly recommended.
A real family pizza shop feel to it, which is great. Staff were accommodating with certain topping to be added and removed and didn't charge for the extras. A good sign that it's not trying to rip off customers.

My Family, Friends and I are frequent visitors to Gino Fontains Restaurant.
Can't recollect a time that any of us were disappointed. It's not an expensive Restaurant, It's just what you'd expect from a suburban Family style Pizzeria with Restaurant seating and service.
Some of the other comments seem a little harsh, and all things considered. Gino's is good value, and the food is Excellent.

Bargain. Wednesday night special - same size meal, same parma, but just $13. Other meals too, pizzas, etc at the $13 special on a Wednesday night
Best Aussie!!. This place is clearly the best pizza shop in the eastern suburbs, I have tried a few and Fontains comes up trumps everytime.
I was always a fan of a pizza with the lot, but my wife came home one day with an Aussie pizza from Fontains, I have never looked back

Hidden Delight. I have been here a few times now and the service is always excellent. The prawn pasta is the best pasta I have had. My husband loves the prosciutto pizza. I honestly can't speak more highly on the service.

They have a tidy upstairs dining area with a bar offering Wine, Beer and mixed drinks. The service is quite good and friendly. Downstairs, is the kitchen and Pizza ovens etc. A small second dining area downstairs saves the stair climb for older and disabled patrons.
Food is absolutely amazing. I had a lasagne and small Mexican pizza. It is the best pizza I have found in this area and the lasagne was fantastic!!!! thanks guys you have a new local!!!!

A fabulous Italian meal experience upstairs in the restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is always good. Great selection of wines and beer. Take away service is quick and reliable and the food always arrives hot and fresh.

The meat lovers pizza was average. The penne amatriciana was very tasty. Ribs and chips were good. Friendly staff.
