We had a breakfast for two for $29 with free coffee and also a dessert(we were surprised by that one though š) really good portion size.Lovely customer service.
I came to Paesano last night for dinner with a friend. Couldnāt resist ordering the gnocchi beef ragu... and I have NO REGRETS! It was delicious and was a great serving size. I also came for the dinner buffet last Christmas Eve and loved it then too. Definitely will be coming back more often!
The drinks that we ordered were yumm! Mojito and espresso martini (unsure) were honestly even better than all the pub out there that ive been to, food wise, i came only for their seafood, prawn was sweet and plump, oyster was fresh and juicy, didnt like the crab as the marinade was too salty and the texture of the crab itself is not pleasant, i understand coz it was frozen. Didnt eat the dessert as they were not very appetising for me, but i enjoyed the cut fresh fruit, all were fresh (not watery on the bottom of the plate), and even the pineapple was very sweet. What special was the service, i gave them 4* instead of 3* its bcoz of that, they were very accomodating, friendly, very attentive and what u would expect to be served in every place that u go to. Not only one or two of them but all of them which is amazing. Keep up the good work!
We had my son's 18th birthday here in November last year and everything was great. We had a set menu but there were so many selections that it was almost like ordering off the full menu. Food was delicious with large portions, and the staff was very attentive. The set price was very reasonable compared to other places I had looked at. The restaurant has a casual but attractive decor.
Since the last time we went, the venue has been revamped. They also now do woodfired pizzas which are great. A winner is always the stone grill though! And for dessert, one of the BEST tiramisu around.
I don't think I have ever eaten a dessert faster. These were so good that within 10 seconds of the picture they were gone! A large venue with a big menu. All you Can eat buffet's on weekends, kids (under 8) eat free.
We dined here after movies.Service very good .very friendly.Entrees arrived within 10 minutes, very tasty, meatballs and calamari. Calamari was NOT salty(other critics)meatballs very good NOT raw NOT thin sauce(other reviews). We had cannelloni and chicken breast both really good. Cannelloni made Italian way,not salty,?Ā chicken breast with wing on,(first class mushroom sauce)Ā very moist and tender. wine list is extremely good.We will certainly return again.
The sous-vide chicken is a lovely well cooked and tender dish to enjoy, along with the house-made pasta. We would of rated this place higher if it wasn't for their staff. We found staff were pretty poor and not very friendly. The restaurant has just gone under a new outdoor refurbishment which it certainly needed outside!
Love the smashed avocado here and the coffee is always good. Service is super friendly. Very good value for money. Next time we will try the dinner menu as it looked good
This restaurant is amazing in knox o zone .
Homemade pasta , housmade dessert everything fresh , food presentation is also amazing. Great service
If I had to be honest, I wasn't expecting too much when I came here with my family on a groupon offer for their 3 course banquet(normally $25 pp). However both the service and food were a pleasant surprise and I think by keeping in mind that this is a family style type restaurant, the experience will be a rather enjoyable one.
The banquet allows for a choice of 3 entrees, 3 mains, 2 sides and a dessert platter with serving sizes adjusted to feed the number of people on your table - it's a great way to be able to try multiple dishes. We ordered the arancini balls, 3 cheese pizza w/ pear & pancetta and the salt and pepper squid for entrees. Gnocchi pollo fungi, lamb rump and the fettucine beef ragu for mains. The entrees were fairly nice and the tartare sauce that came with the squid was superb. Although I was a bit confused as to why the fresh single slice of pear was on the pizza as it didn't add much in terms of taste nor looks. The star of the mains was definitely the lamb rump which came raw on a sizzling stone and lets you cook it to how you like it and was accompanied by a delicious dipping sauce. The gnocchi and pasta were also quite nice, although I do like my gnocchi a bit more firm and chewy. The sides were almost a meal in itself and I enjoyed those immensely but do note that the potato & pancetta salad has a sweet buttery sauce which may not appeal to those who want a more savoury dish.Ā
The dessert platter was the highlight of the evening as it was a very generous variety of house-made desserts including pana cotta, tiramisu, jelly, chocolate mousse and gelato. I was impressed by the gelato which all were vibrant and real in terms of flavour although texture-wise probably not the smoothest gelato I've had. I loved that one of the gelatos had bits of honeycomb which added some nice texture to it as well. Overall, the food was rather delicious and servings were very generous as even a serving for 4 split between 5 people had us in food comas by the end. Would definitely come back for their lamb, salads and gelato.
I was more than impressed by the service at Paesanos, a young man served our table who was friendly, confident and knowledgeable about the menu. He was generally quite attentive and just made the whole experience so much better. When we also got another scoop of gelato ($3.50) they gave us another complimentary scoop as if their servings of gelato weren't big enough! The restaurant itself while nothing fancy is very large and perfect for large casual gatherings.
Came here for the first time with a 3 course menu groupon. Wasnāt expecting a lot but was quite impressed with the value. Entreeās were squid, Arancini balls and cheese pizza - all not bad. Main was lamb on hot stone, gnocchi, fettuccine with warm potatoe salad and pumpkin salad. All tasted really good. To end it off was dessert - see photo - quite outstanding !!!
In general it is a good place with nice meal and environment except a little salty. However we could ask for less salt when we order. It's a place worthed having a meal with family.
Went out to lunch with the parents. Got a capriccosa, calamari and chips to share.
It's probably one of the more untraditional Italian restaurants I've been to. But the flavours ring true and the prices are fair.
Atmosphere is relaxed and service pleasant.
*Edit*
Wow, we decided to come back a year later and it's world's apart from the first, average experience! The buffet is incredible, so many options and the quality of the food is really impressive. Kids loved the chocolate fountain, it's a fun novelty for dessert. Great value, friendly atmosphere and the staff were great. Well done on improving so much, we walked out very happy customers!
Admittedly my partner and I usually dine across the road at Seamus O'Toole's Irish Pub whenever we are in Knox, however we decided to try something different for a change and seeing as I was craving Italian, Paesano Restaurant caught my eye.
My partner and I shared a delightful evening being waited on by easy-going, smiling and ever-so-friendly staff. Upon being seated we were told of the evening's specials and were promptly brought two glasses of wine to sip whilst perusing the menu. I decided on the Fettuccine Ragu, and my partner's request for a Fettuccine Carbonara was also met despite it not being on their menu.Ā
Food arrived within a speedy manner and the presentation was amazing. The authentic flavours throughout the dish were spot on and to top it all off the waiter grated fresh Parmesan cheese over the dish and was very generous as I adore cheese on pasta. Ā
Despite being full after our main course, my partner and I did order dessert. I choose the three scoops of the gelati of my choice from the icecream cabinet; baci, lemon sorbet and chocolate, and my partner ordered the tiramisu. Not only was the food and the atmosphere very enjoyable, but we were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable bill and were even given a $20 return voucher.
Will definitely be back in future.
Ate here before seeing a movie a few weeks ago. The first two waitstaff who served us were excellent and very friendly. Was impressed with the carbonara; I usually hate cream in mine and decided to try it when the menu said that it was made without cream! Pasta was very fresh, and the pizza was delicious too.
The only negative I have would be for one of the servers (looked like a manager). I know it's hard to be at work sometimes but it doesn't hurt to smile, especially when the customers are being friendly! On the whole I loved it and would definitely choose to go back here.
just 45 km cycling ride and i was at paesano restaurant in knox (westfield) šš“š»Ā , checking this Italian restaurant on behalf of Ā DAMOFORCEĀ šĀ ā¦was thrilledĀ to learn that its the same owners as āshort black cafeā in camberwell cause theyāre serving the Same insanely good Prosciutto imported straight from Italy š
The best restaurants are those that stay true to their heritage, but continually try to improve. Paesano is one such restaurant. Located within Knox O-Zone, opposite Village Cinemas, Paesano is the founding restaurant of The Paesano Group, co-owned and operated by Frank Capuzzi and Angelo LoMonaco since 1997. This hospitality pair also own Short Black Cafe, the popular day and night time eatery in Camberwell.Ā At both locations, their focus is on providing authentic, Italian home-style cooking, adapted from family-owned recipes passed down through generations since the 19th Century.Ā To this day, many of the products at Paesano are made in-house, including the gnocchi, pasta, sauces and daily desserts.
Excellent food at an affordable price. The staff were just fantastic and went out of their way to make our family dinner a great experience. I regularly dine out and haven't been this impressed with a restaurant in a long time. Would highly recommend.
Overall, Paesano strikes a good balance of authenticity and catering to suburban family diners. Portion sizes were generous and flavours hint of a true Italian Nonna.
Despite the busy Saturday evening, service remained incredibly friendly and professional.
It is clear that Paesano doesnāt skimp on quality or quantity. Even given the busy night, they manage to serve up some delicious and consistent meals. No wonder this place was full!
The food is always great, the service is always good. The coffee is great. Nothing is a problem to the staff. Love going to this place as it's relaxing ad convenient.
Amazing atmosphere, you can tell love working there!
Food is super fine as are the coffees and cocktails.
Will be back for sure!
Recommend booking Saturday nights can be pretty busy
The service was great, the asian with the glasses was very nice, no complaints. Good service, good food, good timing nice and cozy, would definitely thumbs up
The best pasta ever and wonderful service! The pizza is really good as well and some of the best chips I have ever had. The location is really good, just right across from the cinemas
It's not a bad experience to cook the steak by yourself not at your home but in a restaurant. Strongly recommend to request the extra plate to place the raw steak and then cut into small to cook on the hot rock to avoid the steak to be over-cooked. Don't be too care about how it taste. The sell point of this steak is to enjoy a kind of DIY feeling.Ā
Don't suggest to have this if it's a very important date because it causes too much smoke when cooking the steak on the hot rock. And don't order this when with kids.
The other food like pasta is just so so, very normal.
Paesano's serves great Italian food in a warm and family friendly setting. I love the seafood pastas and risotto but the gourmet pizzas can't be overlooked either. Good food, good service... What more could you ask for?
We came here after a day of shopping and wanted to have a nice dinner.
We ordered the stone grill porterhouse which the cut is served raw on a hot stone and you cook it yourself with chips, salad and sauce.
We also ordered a Greek lamb salad with extra lamb.
The concept of cooking your meat on a hot stone grill is fun and rewarding as you can cut up a slice of meat and cook it as you like then eat it, it is a good dish and worth trying if you are a steak fan. The grilled lamb was good as the lamb was cooked succulently and the Greek salad was a good portion size to match the meat. For dessert we had a layered chocolate mousse cake and an apple crumble which were nice. The waitress that served us was very attentive and pleasant, taking to us throughout the night. Overall the place is nice stop to grab some dinner if not busy as it can be quite loud as it's very large venue.
Went for Lunch today with my friendĀ
Had the Bruschetta Ā as an Entree and i must say it was delicious and a great way to present the dish. Then our mains came, i had the Mini Parma with chips and Salad and my friend had the Lunch Burger both meals came with a complimentary Ā drink which was Ā a great deal to get,Ā
My Mini Parma was a good serve and generous serve of chips and salad :)Ā
Would recommend to family and friendsĀ
Will definitely be back againĀ
Great Place, service was Awesome Ā and friendly staff :)
Had crumbed prawn tapas, so fresh and tasty, and the chicken parma was to die for, awesome friendly service and very quick service. Well done.
Family restaurant. The food was good and value for money, however I expect better from something in the heart of Knox Ozone.
Located right next to Knox Shopping Centre in the O-Zone restaurant district, Paesano is a giant restaurant serving Italian/International cuisine. Service is super attentive (took plates away as soon as we stopped eating) and food was satisfying.
I was at paesano on thursday night and this place was busy i was very well looked after by the young waiter named tyler he was very professional and the way he explained the specials ineejt for the the warm beef salad.and my partner tried the samon risotto was absolutely beautiful and the wine the waiter suggested. Was awsome the quality of food was fantastic i we will defferently be back again and suggest this place to everyone an to b served by tyler he made our night. Very remember able
Enjoyed the stone grill eye fillet steak - it was great value. Everything else was average...but probably still better than most of the places in the Knox Ozone.
Quick, great food and service. The food was made perfectly and the staff are really nice
We arrived without a booking at 8.15pm on a Wednesday night and greated by a polite young lady who checked the kitchen was open and showed us to our table.
Good choice of meals but as we were not very hungry chose a Vegetarian Pizza and fettuccine Pescatore.
Pizza had good topping and was really tasty. Fettucine were also very tasty with a good amount of mixed seafood.
My only criticism is no spoon was provided and no parmesan cheese was offered.
Overall service was good and polite.
Pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and food here. Staff were really patient with us as we took almost 30 minutes to decide what to order! Lots of really good options on the menu and my pasta was excellent. Itās quite a drive from MelbourneCBD but itās great of you live locally as there is one ty for seating and food options for even the fussiest eater.
Food was super delicious and service is simply perfect. The portions are really generous and the place itself is spacious with a covered terrace outside.
Great food, not the same level service
15 Nov 2018 update, a new service team is in they seem much better.
We held our celebration here after our daughters dedication and was surprised with the beautiful effort the staff put into the decorations for the table. The service was also great and the food amazing for buffet. Was very happy called 2 days before to book seating for 25people and was confirmed within 1 hour. Just got asked what we were celebrating and said was our daughters dedication. So was very surprised with the effort they put into it all. Thank you Paesano
