Very glad we found this place! Exceptional service, staff is very friendly, genuine and attentive. The pho is flavourful (without MSG!!) and the banh mi is delicious and fresh. Will def come back in the future
Beautiful fresh authentic Vietnamese. Loved the Prawn Spring Rolls and Betel Leaf Beef with lots of lettuce, mint, basil + carrot on the side. Highly recommended 🙂
One of my favourite lunch time places , delicious traditional Vietnamese food . The Vietnamese pancake is delicious . The food is so fresh and staff always friendly
Review been a long time coming. First went to this "hidden gem" when there was the Groupon voucher. Unfortunately had one bad experience (with claggy noodles) but the owner was so apologetic, we decided to go back again. Its out of your usual Box Hill or Springvale Viet enclaves but for my family, its been worth the drive.
The pho only comes in one size (equivalent to a medium elsewhere) but we love it. The lady owner buys fresh ingredients, so the broth is tasty and great on a cold day. My mother always has the grilled prawns - its not cheap but its good value for what you get...and tasty fresh prawns too.
Have tried the bun but this is lacking...so happy to stick with the pho any time and continue my fairly regular past drive Box hill to Noos (where its easier to park too)
Great local Vietnamese joint, now I don't have to go far to Springvale or Richmond to have an authentic Vietnamese food. Good food, good service, great service from the owner. Tips: ask for her homemade chili, it's to die for
I dine here on a regular basis. The food is of a high standard and the meals are well presented. The staff are extremely friendly! The meals are brought out at the same time when dining in a group. Comprehensive menu. Highly recommend this restaurant. So good to have a local Vietnamese restaurant in Wantirna!
We came here on a weeknight. The food is quite nice Vietnamese food and came out very promptly. The staff were extremely friendly and gave us some extra ice drinks for the kids, as well as free prawn crackers for them! They even changed the TV channel to the kids cartoon channel.
Saw them on Groupon and decided to go there have a try, never know there is a Vietnamese restaurant close by. We didn’t bought the Groupon voucher as we are not a fan of Singapore noodles.
Tried their pork chop broken rice and beef noodles, very generous size and taste pretty good. Their Vietnamese coffee is excellent, sure will be back for more. Good to know there is a quality Vietnamese restaurant close by, as we usually go Richmond.
We had Vietnamese-Style Singapore Noodles + Spring Rolls there. Very happy with the food and service. Previously we had pho soup there and were happy with it too.
This place became my favourite local restaurant/ take away. Love the style of these foods and will be the choice when we think, what do we have tonight. I think is is Hanoi style Vietnam food which I like better. Wish they have Bun Cha.
Had the Wonton Egg Noodle Soup - was absolutely superb. Probably would have been better if they had takeaway bowls because neither one of us was able to finish. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be back again.
First time visit, delighted by the delicious Beef Pho and mix of spring rolls. Looking forward to next visit where i will try the salt & Pepper chicken. Friendly staff and complimentary pieces of chilled watermelon were most welcome.
Went with the Groupon voucher - makes the tasty pho even nicer. Since the owner changed the noodle supplier, I think this is one of the best. Its a bit of a drive, but with a few of us, its worth it. The coffee is a great way to supplement the meal.
The bun with the prawns - lovely. Friendly service makes the lunch exceptionally enjoyable :)
After coming back from Japan just a few days ago and having being spoilt with delicious yummy food there, the only cuisine we were craving for was Vietnamese, in particular banh mi. And to get good banh mi we would have to go to Springvale, a good 50 minute drive away.
Yesterday we stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, my partner went to the doctors there and had to pick up some meds.
I was craving for banh mi and saw that this place served it so in we went.
Before I go on I might add that vietnamese food is one of my fave cuisines, after Japanese and I used to frequent the restaurants in Bayswater till I got very tired of the same same foods they offer that mainly cater for the westerners (not that there's anything wrong with that) and small portions. I haven't been to a vietnamese restaurant in Bayswater in over 2 years.
When looking at the menu I got super excited that they served alot of authentic dishes that the other vietnamese restaurants in Bayswater don't serve.
We had the beef pho and beef pho special. The soup was devine and there was ample sliced beef etc. Huge serving too. Loved the blanched bean shoots, nice touch.
We also ordered the papaya salad. It was soo good. sooo fresh and just a right mixture of herbs etc.
The nhc nham cham is something else. Such delicate flavors and perfectly balanced with sweetness, saltiness and sourness, you can tell its made with care unlike other places.
The last dish we had was chicken rice with succulent chicken thigh and boy was it succulent. Its also deboned too, I'd say after it was cooked cos there was so much flavor on the chicken and the skin had a nice rubbery texture. Dipping the chicken in the special sauce just elevated the dish to amazing. Sooo good!
We enjoyed our meal sooo much that I have specifically requested to dine here tonight on Mothers Day rather than my fave Japanese restaurant.
There are soooooooo many dishes I would still like to try there I'm getting super excited.
oh and the owner was lovely to bring my toddler son a plate of watermelon which he devoured in no time after his meal.
Love this place and so happy its local. Its easily better than the Vietnamese restaurants in Bayswater and most restaurants in Springvale.
As a last note, I read someones review on here that the place would attract more people if they had serviettes at the table, I don't know about them but I base a restaurant on the great food they serve and not on the serviettes/tissue box they have on the table.
Wish I had of found this place sooner, but happy that I have found it now. Will definitely be frequenting this place a lot lot more.
Delicious Beef Pho! That's my favourite one!
And also crunchy delicious spring rolls
Fantastic customer service too!
Had great dining experience here!
Went here for lunch, had a bowl of sliced beef pho and it was great. Just your regular pho establishment. Loved the free tea they offered, the flavor was really unique.
We had a nice dinner here, love the pho as the broth was a bit sweet, and i love my food to have sweetness in it, as others said its true that the noodle was huge portion.
The singapore noodle definitely good as well, we knw as my partner knw the chef :)
Appetizers were great, love the spring roll and taro, both were crispy and good portions.
Viet coffee was yummy, even though they didnt make it fresh but the taste is still the same.
The lady owner was very busy taking order and explaining, and only got another waiter who helped her which was incompetent, even though he was really nice & friendly, but too bad he was very slow, tried to call him many times and either he was too flustered or even when he did come, he forgot our request as he serve other customer. Saw another table (a family) that looked really annoyed as nobody serving his table, called the waiter many times n failed as well, accidentally we saw each other and i smiled at him when he rolled his eyes, well, same situation here!
Will def come back for their food, but seriously they need to keep up with their service.
Came here on a Groupon deal today for lunch and had a great meal! The pho was delicious with very good portion sizes and generous servings of beef. The coffee (we had iced and hot coffee) was quite nice - not too sweet but not too bitter either! Our server was polite and friendly. Will definitely come again to try some other dishes! Hope to see this place grow!
Got some Groupon vouchers for this new restaurant and I was nicely surprised. The pho was large serving and the soup was delicious. The Singapore noodles were tasty although not quite Singapore noodles but it was yummy. Spring rolls were hot and tasty and nicely crunchy. Very good place and will definitely go back
New Vietnamese restuarant - great addition to Wantirna Mall. Prawn spring rolls were great, one of the best I've ever had. Vietnamese coffee wasn't as strong as what I'm used to but will definitely be returning again.
Delicious Bun Bo Hue. Spring rolls was good and can't go wrong with Beef Pho. Service was good, just mixed up our orders. The outside atmosphere was great on a nice warm day.
Delicious Pho of beef combination! Out of my expectation! Definitely go back and recommend.
The spring rolls are delicious, love the sauce. I am hoping for a homemade chili sauce. The ambience is absolutely Vietnamese. And spicy chicken with rice amazing…
Have been eating here for years and never disappoints, authentic and awesome food, do yourself a favour if your trying to decide if you should eat here and just go. Can’t go wrong with there Pho, Banh mi, spring rolls. The owner is gorgeous as well, any negative reviews on here are honestly one offs. Take it from a local who is so thankful for this little gem near by.
So glad I discovered this place. Had a fantastically good Banh Mi and so came back specifically to try the rest of the menu. Pho is also amazing as were the crispy spring rolls. Best and most authentic Vietnamese food I’ve had for a while, better than my last few meals in Footscray and Richmond!
I took mis to this place yesterday. The food was great. It got a bit busy and we didnt get our mango smoothie 🥺. However amazing customer service from the male waiter. Although he was super busy he is wish us a great day. I did not expect a good food and a even better customer service at one place haha. Thank you. Will definitely recommend this place. 👍🏼
Tried their pork chop broken rice and beef noodles, very generous size and taste pretty good. Their Vietnamese coffee is excellent, sure will be back for more. Good to know there is a quality Vietnamese restaurant close by, as we usually go Richmond.
