Review Golden Palace - Wantirna

I think people spend so much time posting negativity, there is enough of that in this world today. I usually never post, whether it's good or bad, but after ordering take away tonight I have to speak up for this restaurant because it was just amazing! The 3 main dishes I couldn’t fault, the flavours were balanced and present, it was cooked perfectly, and the service was happy and friendly. I'm very pleased with my decision to eat here tonight and I will be coming back! To the chefs tonight... you did an amazing job thank you 👏

As a local that has eaten from this restaurant over many years, tonight's experience was the worst. Went there as a party of 9, ordered food only to be told that we need to order $30 per head. Not what was agreed to prior. We left, walked to next chonese restaurant 3 doors down and enjoyed the night. Thanks for nothing Golden Palace, wnt be seeing you again after being a regular for 15+ years. As a family business to respond with we couldn't care less shows the respect you have for your customers. We spent $250+ at next restaurant and had a great time. You seem very dismissive of poor reviews. This is perhaps the reason your reviews are so poor. Word of mouth is a powerful tool. Thanks

This is the first time I have ordered from here and I was disappointed. It was delivered after 90 minutes. The fried rice was bland and soggy and the chicken in the lemon chicken was dry. S and S pork was very nice but considering how much it cost was not worth it.

Me and my mum we’re hungry so we went inside the shop. We ordered our food and my mum asked the waiter if we could sit on one of the tables, he said no. And it was a extremely small and cramped place. We did not want to sit right where people ordered their food, once again my mum asked very politely if we could sit there, he then told us that now we cannot because their staff sit there, yet there was no staff sitting. So my mum said she will never come here again, and he had the audacity to say to her “ ok thanks , then I will never be able to see your face again” who says that to their customers. NEVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. THE STAFF HERE ARE DESPICABLE! AND ON TOP OF THAT THEY SERVE ME RAW DIM SIMS ( MEAT WAS BRIGHT PINK ) IN A PLASTIC BAG. also this restaurant is so cheap that they can’t afford spoons. MY MUM HAD TO HAVE HER SOUP WITH A FORK, THANKS FOR NOTHING GOLDEN PALACE

Honey chicken was fantastic 😊 It is hard to find somewhere that does it well. Enjoyed our special fried rice as well. We have good service thanks.

NAME people in your responses to honest reviews Your professionalism is disgusting and your dismissive behaviour just shows how outdated your restaurant is. We appreciated sitting next to your prawn cracker stock. No wonder we were the ONLY People in the restaurant We had an amazing dinner at king Wong and will continue supporting their family owned business

Every single time!! We have NEVER had any issues whatsoever. They are more than happy to help with food allergies WITHOUT making you feel uncomfortable OR humiliated. In fact they have been THE MOST ACCOMMODATING, UNDERSTANDING & HELPFUL Restaurant we have ever been to!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR DELICIOUS CHINESE FOOD! EVERY SINGLE TIME!! I have eaten her for 20 plus years but tonight was a new low. Undercooked, smallest serves seen and cold. When I spend $80 I expect food to be better than this. Will think twice as this was my favorite place. The cold undercooked mini spring rolls truly awful

Came here last Wednesday night for dinner- it was also the first time trying pekking duck and I thought it was quite nice! Not a bad place for a family gathering or a celebration :)

Great tasting food and excellent value. There's only one waitress so it takes a bit longer but you can chat amongst yourselves. The food is definitely worth the wait.

As a local I would come here frequently. It in my opinion is one of the best Chinese Restaurants in the area. If you haven't tried it then I urge you to give it a go. You won't be disappointed.

It doesn't look like much when you walk in and deffinately doesn't look like much from the outside. I have been here several times, with family and friends who all loved it and thought it was very fresh! The lettuce bun is one of my top picks! Will continue to go back there! Best chinese restaurant in knox area by far!

Very disappointed. We have been going to this restaurant for years but never again the owner was extremely rude and abusive because we had spring rolls that tasted off , we told them nicely but the owner came out and started to be very aggressive so we told them we will pay for what we eat and leave but she kept going on and made a big seen in front of everyone, that's amazing after all the years of support we have given her with bringing family and friends.<br/>To be treated like that was a shock and she should not be in hospitality if she handles complaints like that .<br/>Respect your customers and treat every situation with understanding we are putting our trust in the owner by consuming their food that we expect to be fresh and palatable and when we don't get that we are entitled to say something .and not get back a double back hander unbelievable !

Abusive Owner. Found The Quality Of Food Very Poor And The Owner Was Very Abusive And Would Never Go Back Again.

MSG. Requested in phone order that no added msg be applied to my amazement when I picked up my order was charged extra for having no msg wtf.???? Never have come across this charge for a product I did not receive !!

Wonderful Meal Out. We have been to this restaurant a couple of times and we have always found the service and food excellent.The staff are very helpful and friendly.There is a large range of Chinese foods on the menu and they are always served piping hot the way I like it. The menu is very well priced as are the banquets. This restaurant is a must go to.

We get take away from this restaurant and its very nice food. the staff are very nice and friendly. i do think the restaurant is in need of a refurbishment. But a good place for yummy food.

Lovely fresh food. Mostly western chinese. Good takeaway. Fast , friendly staff. The restaurant really needs re-furbishing.

TakeAway was great. Ordered takeaway on Saturday night. <br/>Place was busy, but order was handled quickly. Serves were large ,tasty and reasonably priced. Will definately be heading back to eat in.

Relaxed pace. A yum cha experience which isn't rush in feedbag attached and get out. Friendly staff and wide variety of food. Watch the staff serving route and try to sit near the first tables from the kitchen. If your are at the end fried food esp can be cold. Been many times and will continue to go back

Excellent food and kind staff. I have been there heaps of times and the food is reasonable priced and the staff are very pleasant.

We love our local Chinese! The food is great, the price is amazing and the service is really friendly. Some may see it as a negative that the service is a little slow, but we find it relaxing. We hate being rushed through our meals. Try the banquets, they're great value.

The decor looks a bit dodgy and the chop sticks are all different lengths but they have the best banquets and fast, friendly service. Good food.
