I am going to improve the ranking from 4 stars to 5 stars, and I want compliment the young lady Emily who provides first class customer service to my friends and I during our latest visit.
Today, we order the Ultimate Pork Platter.
It is a plateful of crackling pork belly, Nurnberger bratwurst, pork schnitzel, crispy pork belly bao buns, sauerkraut, red cabbage, creamy mash potato, apple compote, German mustard and bier jus.
I think a bigger size plate will do more justice to the presentation of such a great collection of meat.
The crackling pork belly is cut into two very chunky pieces. The meat portion is very tender. However, the rind still sticks to the fatty portion, which needs to be scrapped off so that the crackling can be enjoyed. For pork fat eater, it is too good to waste..
Nurnberger bratwurst is lean, and goes well with the sauce.
In my previous visit, I had chicken schnitzel, which was juicier, tastier and more tender. I believe a little pounding with a meat mallet to tenderise the pork can do miracles.
The crispy pork belly bao buns is an east-meets-west concoction. "bao" is a Chinese term for bun, which implies redundancy. The bun is like a steamed pikelete. Unfortunately, the rind is a bit chewy rather than crispy.
I hope I can write a more glowing review after my next visit.

I contemplate scoring this restaurant with 5 stars, but I am definitely not happy with the incorrect charging and poor resolution of the matter.
My friend and I ordered the same menu item, and beverages. He was undercharged but I was just the opposite. After being informed of the discrepancy, the staff notified with her manager, and minutes later she told my wife that in our next visit, she would credit us a drink.
Is this a case of numeracy problem, lack of customer service training, orsmart Alec tactic? Wouldn't it easier to reverse the bills and reprocess them through the register again?
"I am not happy Jane!"

The Bavarian is running a promotion on the platter menu called Winter Platters for every Wednesday. The special seems like a good discount, but there is a string attached. Each platter is catered for 2, and each has to buy at least a drink.
Although the bright midday sun is high in the sky, the temperature was in the mid ten. The Covid restriction has still not lifted fully, and the restaurant and the surrounding competitors are still empty.
There is outside seating, but the weather is too cold for our group of 10 to enjoy the sunshine and the special lunch special.
Out of 10 people, several of us were in Munich celebrating Oktoberfest in 2019, and we had pork knuckle and a litre of beer at the famous Hofbrau Munchen. Today, one of our main objective is to check out the pork knuckle.
The restaurant is German inspired, family friendly modern style pub. The varnished timber furniture can sit 10, and arrange bed in rows. The ambience has a natural and rustic feel. At one end of the restaurant, no entry by patrons, is shelves of beer barrels, stacked to to ceiling high.
The meal is nicely presented in an oven plate. There is no unnecessary jazzing up to make it looks more like a piece of artwork, instead of something more enticing to the palate.
I
I normally do not like schnitzel, but this has been fried well, with golden brown crumb and juicy meat. The pork belly has very crispy crackling, with the right thickness of fat layer baked to melt in the mouth.
The pork knuckle is what we come for. However, the meat is overcooked, and the fat and liquid have been rendered out, leaving the toughened muscle fibers.
There are four sausages, which are very average tastewise.
The Lowenbrau beer contains 5.5% alcohol is crystal clear light yellow colour, easy to drink with no bitter taste.
There is no toilet facility within the restaurant. All the traders share the public toilets just round the corner of the premises.
