Delicious open chicken sandwich, sourdough bread was thickly cut, just the right size, avocado was generous, topped with lovely fresh chicken and rocket with cherry tomatoes and balsamic glaze. Also one of THE nicest cappuccinos I've had. Waitress was personable, witty and a delight. The gluten free Yo-Yo was voted 10/10 by husband ... who is usually wary of gluten free offerings. Altogether a great experience and delightful surrounds. We will be back and will recommend.

I've been there three days in a row and had tea and cake in the restaurant each time. The vanilla slice is so naughty but delicious! Wonderful staff, always happy and helpful. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Warran Glen Cafe is a beautiful cafe in Warrandyte. Perched above the gardens & garden centre, overlooking the creek & hilly surrounds, it’s an ideal spot for brunch or lunch. It also has a large function area as well as playground for kids.

The food ranges from your usual brunch options as well as plenty of cakes, slices & salads. We loved the veggie frittata, the presentation was gorgeous & a nice light & fresh option. The lunch options include a specials menu & we tried the linguine marinara & the lamb salad which were both tasty & full of flavour. If you have room for cake you’ll be spoilt for choice & we really enjoyed the pecan pie & the lemon myrtle tart.

If visiting, allow some extra time to have a wander around the gardens, feed the ducks & enjoy browsing in the nursery & garden centre.

Thanks so much for having us.

Warran Glen

The restaurant is in the middle of a garden that has a little lake filled with ducks and beautiful garden décor. Perfect for families to come here and spend time with their kids as well as it is very kid friendly! The restaurant had welcoming staff and a good variety on their menu to choose from. Amazing views of the garden can be overlooked by dining on the veranda.
DRINKS
Loved the coffee they served here, definitely lived up to my expectations!
FOOD
Pork Belly
The crackling on the pork belly was beyond crispy and the pork was cooked just right with great flavours.
Super Food Bowl w/ smoked salmon
All the elements in this bowl including kale, grilled halloumi, brown rice, broccolini, walnuts, sesame seeds + cranberry pomegranate dressing complemented each other so well making it delicious yet healthy at the same time!
French Toast
Soft and fluffy French toasts that were absolutely phenomenal!

Highly recommend coming out to the Warrandyte area to visit Warranglen Cafe for not only some great food but also the lovely scenic atmosphere that surrounds this cafe. Was taken back by the beautiful view we had when sitting on the balcony and they also have a lovely outdoor seating area for the warmer months.

There is both a breakfast, lunch, and dessert menu as well as a huge arrangement of savoury and sweet options to select from the window display. We ordered from the lunch menu and selected the vegetarian curry, chicken salad, pork belly and potato gnocchi. We were all pleased with our meals as they had great flavour and left as very satified. We all couldn't resist trying the vanilla slice to share which was so creamy and light.

Recommend visiting this lovely cafe for a delicious meal and beautiful scenery.

THE MOST IDYLLIC PLACE TO ENJOY FOOD AND RELAX!

We were absolutely surprised by gem of a place! The cafe itself is situated amongst a garden with a lake filled that has ducks and bridges The cafe felt very homely with indoor dinining and an outdoor dining on the verandah overlooking the gardens and lake. SPECTACULAR! Ofcourse we chose the outdoor seating as it was the most perfect day to soak up the sun and enjoy the views.

We came here for brunch and was impressed with the menu and what was available. They also had an impressive cabinet display filled with lighter meals and desserts.

We couldnt go pass the French Toast Style Croissant and the Avocado Stack. We immediately fell in love the the croissant with the rhubarb and mixed berry compote and the avocado stack was pure deliciousness!

Afterwards, we spent some time browsing the nursery and the gift shop. Both equally impressive with a fantastic range of products to inspire your next gardening project or buy that unique present for someone.

Such a wonderful place and we could spend hours here, even if it is just by the lake watching the ducks after eating a delicious meal.

With the food and coffee so good, we cannot wait to return and try they lunch menu!

I’ve been doing a fair bit of traveling around Victoria over summer, and while venturing out to the Yarra Valley, I came across one of the most tranquil and picturesque cafes in this great State!

Warran Glen Cafe is nestled behind a gorgeous nursery, and is surrounded by lush greenery with a bridge crossing over a small lake-filled gully as an entrance.

We opted for the outdoor alfresco dining experience, so we could soak up the surrounds on a glorious summer’s day. Being fully licensed meant I was able to enjoy a glass of red with my lunch, which was the special of the day: Crispy Skin Salmon with a wasabi sauce. I was intrigued to see it came with lemon and pepper ‘pearls’, which popped in my mouth, offering just the right amount of citric acidic to cut through the fish, and providing a pleasant sweet/salt contrast. The skin was super-crisp, and the fish was just the right pink tone with a moist meaty texture.

They also have a selection of homemade frittatas and cakes, which highlights the rustic nature dining in the country brings, and something I was all too familiar with when growing up as a child.

Great place for a relaxing gathering, celebration or just brunch / lunch in an idyllic and lovely setting amongst nature and a stream. Love the surroundings, nursery and shop. Reasonable pricing and great variety in the menu. Coffee is good and strong and on a hot day, an ice coffee does the trick. Very efficient and friendly staff.

đŸ˜±Lizzie’s first impression: Beautiful Scenery, Fresh food, great staff. đŸ©Lizzie enjoyed: I loved absorbing the nature surrounding this nursery with a beautiful cafĂ© situated behind it – such a clever business model. It was absolute zen as I sat and ate my lunch right by the verandah area overlooking the lake and greenery. They did a great burger with melted cheese, juicy patty and great fries. I also absolutely loved their pulled lamb dish – it was delicious. It was served with chargrilled broccolini, some roasted potatos and a pumpkin puree that added a bit of sweetness to it. Loved the presentation of it too. I had a bomb as iced coffee with icecream on top – can’t get any better than this. 🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: It is a bit of a drive from the cbd area, but if you’re close to this area, by all means give this cafĂ© a shot! đŸ„‡Lizzie rates overall: A great concept and nothing that I’ve experienced before – loved it here and will be back.

Warran Glen Cafe is in a beautiful location, surrounded by nature and locals. We visited the day after Boxing Day, and although it was busy, the staff were very friendly and the food was lovely. We had the open lamb souvlaki and the Asian chicken salad. The lamb was cooked beautifully and the dressing on the salad was a definite highlight. We also paired our meals with a red and white wine.
Overall, a nice day spent accompanied with delicious food and drinks! 😊

Warran Glen cafe is situated in a beautiful nursery and lush gardens. The outdoor seating area is so peaceful and relaxing, sitting here is a must when you visit.

My friend and I shared the salmon dish which was on the specials list, this was plated perfectly and tasted delish. I loved the puree and the roasted baby carrots. We also shared the scallop and prawn bake which was full of flavour. For dessert we shared the vanilla slice which has a nice pastry.

A beautiful cafe with great staff and a nice menu.

I recently visited Warran Glen Cafe and loved the whole vibe and atmosphere. From the cafe out the front to the scenic walk up to the cafe, it was like we had escaped from a city nightmare and stepped into a magical resort.
We ate the waffles and the eggs Benny which were both super tasty and decadent although, portion sizes were on the smaller side. The dishes were presented beautifully though!
My only concern with the cafe is that you have to go to the counter and order and my experience was after I ordered, the wait staff forgot about us and I had to get up and find someone to answer some questions I had. Having wait staff who are really switched on does make a difference. In saying this, chef Jose is an absolute delight - definitely one of my favourite chefs in Melbourne.

A step into Nature and Beauty at the Warran Glen Café! Set within 5 acres of land of botanical surroundings and they have what I call a one stop shop where there is a nursery, gift shop and a café.

We walked through the nursery and stopped by to get some nice flowers before heading to the café.

It is located a few steps across the bridge from the nursery and it’s a nice quaint cafĂ© with a big seating area. There are different seating sections where you get to seat facing the river, inside the cafĂ© and there is a lovely terrace at the back.

They do have different chef specials from time to time and there is an amazing window display of sweets and ready make goods close to the counter at the front.

We came here on a lazy afternoon and it was actually packed with people. Thought we would try something from the chef’s special and we decided on the Salmon Fillet and the Scallop and Prawn Bake for our mains and a vanilla slice to share. For drinks we had a chai latte and a coffee.
The mains were really nice and simple and the portions were reasonable. I enjoyed my chai latte as well and the vanilla slice was a lovely finish to the meal.

It was a nice and relaxing cafĂ© and is definitely worth the visit if you’re around the area.

We loved the drive out to a Warren Glen cafe and then when we got there the view from the cafe was equally impressive. Located on the hill behind a garden centre with pretty gardens, ducks and a ponds to look out in this cafe has been here for the longest time. My wife can remember coming here for scones and tea with her mum decades ago. The menu has all your cafe essentials including smashed avocado, French toast and benedict or just make your own up. I had a super big breakfast with a plate crammed full of quality ingredients. The cabinet cakes look stunning and next time we are out this way we will definitely call in for a slice or two. I had my eye on the passionfruit tart but was simply too full. Coffee wise a good blend and Kellie enjoyed her leaf chain and almond milk. We would have liked to see something fresh like a smoothie or blended juice on the menu although there was the option of milky shakes, iced coffees and prepackaged drinks.

Plenty of space in this good old style cafe with a great view. Thanks for having us.

I’ll admit that I didn’t know much about Warrandyte before going out to Warran Glen Cafe. The morning sun was glorious as we drove out and I couldn’t believe how many cars were around 30minutes after it opened. Each customer walks through the Gift Shop and Garden Centre before walking over a beautiful bridge and into the cafe. Our breakfast was as delicious as the grounds we explored.

After completing a brisk walk along the river in Warrandyte, we felt our bodies screaming out for fuel. We have been wanting to try the food at Warran Glen Cafe for quite some time so we popped in for a quick bite. First up, the lovely nursery surrounding the cafe was so pretty and tranquil - a great way to start our brunch!

We had:

Eggs Benedict - the 2 eggs were beautifully prepared. While the dish may have looked simple, the flavours were complex and delicious.

Granola Bowl - this looked and tasted beautiful.

Crispy chicken charcoal bao salad - I love my fusion food and this dish was close to a masterpiece. Nothing like charcoal to cleanse the gut!

Service was friendly and surprisingly fast. Definitely worth multiple visits.

The perfect weekend brunch destination!

Surrounded by a nursery and lush gardens, it’s the perfect place if you’re feeling like a bit of a drive, but still want somewhere close to the city. A vast menu (we went for lunch) and friendly staff! With the warmer months now upon us, it’s the perfect spot for lunch (or brunch!).

I had a mixture of salads from the cabinet which were both fresh and flavoursome. My friend had the open lamb souvlaki, and she finished it all - which doesn’t often happen! I also tried my first ever matcha latte here and it was HEAVEN.

Jose and the team are amazing! I’ll be back to try the breakfast menu! A real gem.

The Warran Glen is not only a gorgeous cafĂ© but it is also a gift store and a nursery! A truly unique and stunning place in Warrandyte, with over 5 acres of land to explore and ducks to feed while roaming the gardens. The Warren Glen CafĂ© is definitely considered a ‘destination café’ and offers a wide range of delicious food. The space is absolutely massive, with a stunning enclosed area with greenery and a fireplace during the cold weather.

We ordered the French Toast which comes with an organic croissant dripped in a creamy egg mixture, topped with rhubarb and mixed berry compote and maple syrup. We also had the Avocado Stack which was served with sourdough toast topped with smashed avocado, a medley of cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, mustard seeds, garnished with rocket and balsamic glaze and a poached egg.

The food was exceptional! The French Toast was absolutely divine - the dish was not overly sweet and the berry compote was to die for. The croissant was cooked to perfection and the maple syrup made the dish even more delicious. The Avocado Smash was also great, the tomatoes were fresh and the feta cheese was very tasty. Overall, we had two filling and enjoyable dishes. For drinks, we had coffee and had no complaints. As it was my birthday, the staff also brought out a blueberry muffin which was extremely thoughtful! The muffin was divine and it was nice and hot.

Overall, we had such an enjoyable time at Warran Glen café - we also had great fun feeding the ducks! It was such an awesome experience.

Warran Glen is beautiful cafe peacefully located away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was a long journey to get there but we were blown away as soon as we stepped onto the grounds.

The venue is incredible. The cafe itself is surrounded by gardens and greenery, and overlooking a pond.

The cafe offers a separate breakfast and lunch menu, a lovely selection of cakes and treats, and a specials menu that is constantly changing. We went for the Scallop and Prawn Bake, Fisherman’s Pie, and a Passionfruit Tart and a Lemon and Poppyseed Cake.

The two mains were delicious - very creamy, hearty and warming. I loved the addition of Panko crumb and the sweet potato crisps which added a nice texture to the dish. There was plenty of seafood too!

The desserts were a delight too. The poppyseed cake was very moist, and the passionfruit tart was nice and ‘tart’ (lol).

It’s definitely a destination cafe, and the breathtaking venue is worth a visit!

Thank you so much for having us!

We came here last week and didn't really know what to expect. I absolutely love the little lake and how many ducks there were. We walked around all 3 bridges but then we finally made our way inside the cafe.

For lunch, we ordered the Slow Cooked Lamb and the Flathead Fillets. The Slow Cooked Lamb was so soft and delicious. It was cooked perfectly and I just love the flavours mixed with a little tzatziki. The potatoes and brocolini were also very soft and perfectly made. Overall a solid dish! The Flathead Fillets were super crunchy and not too salty. It was accompanied by chips and a very refreshing salad.

Overall, I had such a great time here. I sat out on the balcony and had an amazing view of the water. Definitely a must visit.

We were invited to Warranglen cafe today and I was blown away by the stunning space the cafe is located in. I have visited the nursery itself before but had no idea the eatery was so spacious with plenty of outdoor dining room but also a lovely greenhouse style area inside. The food itself is order at the counter service.

For a brunch destination I expect more from the offering but perhaps it’s taking its target audience into account. I would definitely recommend going here for the atmosphere but the menu items are somewhat limited. Don’t expect to see fresh juices or smoothies which for me tend to be a minimum base requirement of the Melbourne brunch scene.

You also don’t see an all day breakfast and lunch menu so pick your time wisely based on your preference. I had the avocado toast today which was certainly enjoyable but visually it was absolutely covered in rocket so much so that I couldn’t even see the avo. My husband got the Florentine eggs which he enjoyed but aren’t exactly breaking the breakfast boundaries in terms of creativity, again perhaps it’s a matter of catering to the target market.

I wish we had had an opportunity to try the cakes as they actually looked and sounded phenomenal and there was an extensive array of delights to choose from. Next time I’m in the market for a relaxed ambiance I would definitely consider a scone or two from Warranglen as the venue itself is well worth visiting

It’s the perfect location for a catch up & pre or post walk coffee as there are plenty of gorgeous tracks around including Mt Lofty. The other day I was lucky enough to go to Warran glen cafe today with my lovely mother. A destination cafe located on a 5 acre block in Warrandyte. They have a nursery, gift shop and peaceful gardens which mum and I walked around. We truely loved soaking in the tranquility of it all.

A s we walked through the gardens and into the cafe, we were met with the biggest smiles and immediately felt as if we could relax outside of the hustle and bustle of Melbourne city life.

After looking at the lunch menu I went for the Golden Vegetable curry which comes with seasoned vegetables cooked in a coconut based sauce with traditional spices, served with steamed rice. The curry was beautifully fragrant and warming for a winter’s day. The vegetables had a nice crunch and provided texture, while the pickled ginger really complemented the notes of turmeric in the curry

My mum went for the open chicken sandwich which consisted of, chicken breast on organic sourdough with smashed avocado, cherry tomatoes, mixed lettuce and was topped with sprouts and drizzled with balsamic glaze. A stunning twist on the usually chicken and avocado sandwich. It was light and fresh, yet also had a depth of flavour from the acidic glaze.

I would highly recommend this cafe and I most definitely will be returning. Balcony views, outdoor heating and a large, flexible space allows this cafe you tick all the right boxes.

Warran Glen Cafe is a hidden gem. Located at the back of a garden centre and gift store in picturesque Warrandyte, I was blown away by the beautiful setting. Despite it being cold when we visited we still opted to sit out on the balcony to take in the view, as the cafe looks directly on to a pond with ducks.

Visiting for a weekend lunch we shared the golden vegetable curry, roasted pumpkin and Parmesan salad and the slow cooked pork ribs served with chilli vodka linguine from the daily specials menu. We finished our meal with tea and homemade scones with raspberry jam and double cream.

The highlight for me was the pork ribs with chilli vodka linguine. The ribs cooked perfectly and were juicy and full of flavour. Despite the dish sounding spicy with the use of chilli it was nicely balanced from the sweetness of the glaze coating the ribs. It was a great combination of flavours.

In addition to serving breakfast and lunch, Warran Glen has a great range of tempting cakes and sweets. I highly recommend you order dessert when you visit. The homemade scones with jam and cream were an absolute winner.

Overall I had a wonderful experience at Warran Glen and appreciated the warm hospitality. I loved exploring the nursery and gift store and recommend you check them out next time you’re out that way or if you’re a garden enthusiast. With such beautiful surrounds it’s the perfect spot for when you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. I rate Warran Glen Cafe ⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Thanks very much for having me.

Nestled in a pretty garden centre, the Warran Glen Cafe is a pleasant surprise. It might be a good drive from the city, but it's well worth the visit, and the scenery in this part of the world is so pretty. With a gorgeous gift shop and nursery on site, you can easily spend a few hours here.

The cafe itself sits atop a small hill and is a large, spacious venue. With a gorgeous enclosed area to the side, and several tables indoors we chose to sit on the beautiful verandah. With views over the garden, we were happy to be nestled in amongst nature, watching the ducks and birds down below.

Service here is so good. Friendly and good natured, the staff instantly made us feel at home; and before long we were enjoying coffees and homemade scones while we waited for our meals. In addition to the menu items, there is a plethora of beautiful baked goods available and they are all so tempting. I couldn't go past the scones as they were huge and fluffy with divine jam and cream. Country food at it's best.

We went with the classic smashed avo, which was served on delicious toast with cherry tomatoes, feta and plenty of greens. So healthy and delicious, with perfectly creamy avocado. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try the signature French toast, which at Warran Glen is made with croissants. Served with a berry compote, it was absolutely divine; the croissants added an interesting point of difference to the usual brioche, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

With such fantastic country hospitality, this isn't simply a cafe, it's a destination. Delicious food served in picturesque surrounds and the opportunity to shop makes this a lovely experience, and one well worth getting out of the city for.

Thank you so much for hosting us.

I had such a great time visiting Warran Glen in Warrandyte! With a brunch and lunch menu to choose from, we settled on the lunch menu. My favourite item I tried that day, and is a must order order when they go there is the amazing vanilla slice! Perfectly soft yet flaky pastry, a rich vanilla flavour with delicious creamiest custard filling you’ve ever tasted, it was incredible! (The seafood casserole was also a favourite but it was so good I demolished it before I could even get a photo!)

It was so good to get out of the hustle and bustle of the CBD and just kick back for a relaxing brunch in a beautiful part of outer Melbourne. The cafe is situated behind a nursery and this beautiful looking garden with pond. We tried the french toast, brekkie burger and vanilla slice. The brekkie burger was bursting with umami flavour from the semi dried tomato pesto. Combined with perfectly fried bacon and egg, a huge field mushie, rocket and some feta and you've got the perfect breakfast burger. The French toast was croissant based which worked well with creamy egg mixture.

Overall had an amazing breakfast here and would highly recommend coming here with a extra hour or so to walk around the beautiful area and feed the local ducks.

Food: All of the food was a lovely hearty selection of winter warmers which included an entree of Chicken Parfait with coffees all round then for mains we had the Osso Bucco, Gnocchi, Pork Belly and the Prawn and Scallop bake.

My stand out dishes were the Gnocchi and Prawn and Scallop bake. The Gnocchi was pillowy, soft and well textured, served with a simple brown butter sauce with herbs and pine nuts.

The Prawn and Scallop bake was buttery, rich, smooth and was complimented by some beautiful crunchy toast that allowed you to soak up all the sauce.

We then tried a selection of their sweet treats which consisted of a blueberry and lemon tart, a raspberry tart, and what is probably the most amazing vanilla slice I’ve ever had. The vanilla slice was creamy, light and cloud-like. The tarts were smooth, delicate and had a great amount of fresh fruit that cut through the richness of the tart filling.

Ambiance/Service: The cafe is based in a garden centre which is surrounded by beautiful scenery and nature. The cafe itself is well presented and if you sit out on the balcony, can overlook the garden centre and look out to the duck pond.

The service was great as well. The staff were attentive, accommodating and helpful.

Would definitely recommend to friends to take family as it has that great homely vibe.

Warran Glen is incredible, both on the inside, the outside & the food/beverages it serves!

This cafe in such a beautiful location. At the back of a garden/gift shop, it was overlooking a lovely lake. The interior was amazing, especially the atrium which was a beautiful, plant filled room!

Such delicious food, made even better by eating on the balcony overlooking the little lake.
Fresh soy chai: A very strong chai flavour, made nice and creamy with the soy milk
Granola bowl: I really enjoyed this granola bowl. The oats were nicely toasted, the dish was full of fruit & there was so much yummy peanut butter on top
Superfood salad bowl & vegan curry: Ordered by my friends
Vegan cupcakes: They were both so nice, I couldn't even tell that they were vegan! These cupcakes were moist, which a delicious, buttery frosting on top!

The staff were so nice & friendly. I’m so glad I made the trip slightly out of the city to try this cafe. I’ll definitely be going back in the future!

Wow! We had an awesome experience at Warran Glen café!

It's such a beautiful and serene setting, felt very relaxed and peaceful. The team was super welcoming as soon as we arrived!

I tried the Veggie curry. It was a generous serving, and super tasty, with various seasonal vegetables. It was so great to see vegan cupcakes available too, so we tried a couple of those with our coffees!

Warran Glen is the perfect café if you want to get away from the city without travelling too far! It is also connected to a home and garden store, with ample parking available.

Large cafe set in beautiful plant nursery. Balcony seats (if you can get one, or make a reservation) look out on trees, gardens, big ponds and ducks. Plenty more outdoor seats out back in another lovely garden setting too. Coffee and lemon slice were both good.

I can’t recommend Warran Glen Cafe enough! From the moment you get out of the car you know that its a cafe that is like no other. You walk through the garden centre and the beautiful staff direct you to the cafe. A stunning view everywhere you turn in the gardens. Breakfast is served until 11.30am with lots of options- the french toast is superb and so is the granola bowl. There is a lunch menu too as well as cabinets filled with gourmet food.
It’s the kind of place you could spend the entire day! I’m really looking forward to trying Jose Chavez Valencia’s new menu. Thank you so much guys đŸ˜ŠđŸ’—â˜•ïž

I can’t believe I’ve never visited Warran Glen before! It’s such an amazing cafe surrounded by the most beautiful greenery đŸ‘ŒđŸŒ Eating in here is such a peaceful and serene experience which I loved.

We ordered a few lunch dishes
- the prawn and scallops bake ( I liked how there was a lot of seafood packed into the dish, there was a lot of sauce left over so I would love liked something to eat it with)
- Beef RAGU ( this was so delicious, dipping the freshly tossed ciabatta bread in the ragu which had peas and potatoes as well- was so yummy đŸ™ŒđŸŒ)
-the Bao bowl ( this was my favourite ! The pulled pork was soooo soft and the bao’s were so soft and not oily at all - would definitely recommend this)

I’ll definitely be back to try some of the delicious looking desserts on display 😍 thanks for having me

We visited Warranglen nursery and cafĂ© last weekend on a stormy Saturday morning, but it did not detract from the delightful drive through Warrandyte’s winding roads and beautiful fields.

Warranglen café is hidden out the back of the nursery, over the pond and up a hill. The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning and overlooks the pond and the nursery. With the ducks cruising along the water and people meandering around the plants, this is one of the more beautiful places to enjoy a weekend brunch.

We ordered a chai and an iced latte to start and enjoyed them under the balcony heaters. The iced latte was nice and chilled and the powdered chai was delicious - I hadn't had one in a while and it was exactly what I was expecting.

My friend ordered the Belgian chocolate waffles, which came served with vanilla ice cream, raspberry coulis & coffee/vanilla wafer sticks. The presentation was absolutely spot on and the serving size not too large. I was specifically told to say that they were “delicately delectable and devilishly delicious” (what happens what two teachers discuss alliteration over brunch haha).

I ordered the big breakfast, and ooh boy, big it was. Two perfectly poached eggs, on toast, with sides of spinach, hash browns, tomato, mushroom, sausage & bacon. I could not finish it! The only presentation let down was the pre-wrapped butter and squeezy tomato sauce – having them in a ramekin would have been a better option. This dish is definitely worth its price tag.

The only downside to Warranglen café is that you have to line up to order your food, which makes the interior of the café quite busy and noisy. Hopefully they lean towards more traditional table service in the near future. Everything else, from the service, to the food presentation, to the venue is absolutely beautiful. Thanks to staff Jess and Jose for being so hospitable during our visit.

Thanks for having us, team â˜ș

I've been to Warran Glen Cafe about a dozen times over the last few years. Every time I'm reluctant to return because I've found the food just a little pricey. But every time I go there, the food IS excellent, service great and the location is perfect.
If there was only one criticism it would be that it gets so busy it becomes noisy. And really, that's being a little pedantic.
Warran Glen caters well for vegetarians and although I'm not one, I'm attracted to the lovely pumpkin, beetroot and feta salad. In fact all the salads are fresh and tasty. I'm told by my seafood eating friends that the calamari is good.Even the lovely little tarts and cakes for dessert are a good portion size, not those enormous slices of chocolate cake that you feel obliged to eat.
On my last occasion, I was fortunate to celebrate a special event with a friend and were bought two little bottles of champagne which were brought out quite ceremoniously after being asked by the staff 'is there a special occasion?' That was a nice touch. Can't fault the service.
There are small and large tables so if you have a group you will be well catered for. A booking is always wise. Remember - if you want something quiet and intimate, this may not be the place unless you ask when booking for something on the deck.
Carparking is good, although again, it gets busy. Location is central to Ringwood, Templestowe, Lilydale etc and is in a lovely part of Warrandyte, not far from the Yarra River

Great garden ambience. We just had a drink and scones with jam and cream. My extra hot chocolate was not hot enough which is quite common unfortunately. Mustn't be possible for them to make them as hot as I like.

We enjoyed a wonderful leisurely lunch sitting outside overlooking the pond. Ample seating, great selection of food & sweets, the staff were very friendly & efficient. We didn’t have to wait long at all for our lunch or drinks. Our meals were all very tasty & fresh. We shared a raspberry cheesecake tart which was amazing!!!
The nursery & gift shop are an added bonus at this fantastic venue!

Highly recommend a lunch date with the girls here!
Firstly the shop at the front has the most amazing homewares could spend hours walking through and browsing! Not to mention the large nursey!
Set amongst the trees is a cute little cafe with the most delicious food and drinks or a cheaky champas! Love it here!!

The coffee wasn’t nice. We were sitting on the balcony and really like the view from there. The staff are very nice. We only had lime and coconut tart and vanilla slice. The vanilla slice basically have cream. Will be back to try lunch and hopefully the coffee is better.

I opted for the ‘Open Chicken Sandwich - chicken breast on organic grain bread with smashed avocado, cherry tomatoes, mixed lettuce and topped with sprouts ($18.00)’. The sandwich was mostly a pile of lettuce leaves.

Gorgeous! Nice coffee, friendly staffs, nice food and enough space to bring your kids. Seriously! Food comes quite quick despite it’s quite busy time. Every thing are very nice. Up front of the cafe, they have a beautiful shop and nursery. So before or after you can do a bit of looking around the shop. Will definitely come back to try other food.

A gorgeous spot! Something for everyone here - from young families, golden oldies and everyone in between. Everyone was happy with their meal, and the food is certainly fresh.
I ordered a ready-made roti and smoked chicken wrap. This came toasted and with a side salad. It was nice and tasty but nothing exceptional.  I managed to snaffle some of the fish and chips - this was yummy! Lovely fresh fish and gorgeous fat chips! The service is quick (considering how big and busy the place can get) and friendly. It's probably best to book a table if you're travelling to Warran Glen to visit to avoid missing out.

Strolled through their nursery and gift shop, walked over a bridge escorted by ducks, up the hill to the quaint cafe. The view is impressive. You over look the ponds, ducks and nursery. We sat on the balcony which had heating overhead and went up to order and were served by lovely personable staff. This set pretty high expectations for us. Breakfast was average but still tasty. Bacon over cooked and eggs rubbery. But no worse than a breakfast your kids might make you for mothers or father's day. Overall, we had a lovely time and will return as its the friends and company that make the day and not just the food. The staff definitely made up for the mediocre fare. As for pricing, only $60 ish for 3 people. Also they lose 1 point for no table service but it is a cafe in a nursery and I forgive them for this. ☕☕☕☕☕

A very lovely environment to sit and have brunch in.  I had corn fritters that had smashed avo, an egg, pancetta and chili jam to accompany, and the combination of flavours was lovely.  Hubby had the eggs benedict with gluten free bread and he really enjoyed it, but there was a lot of rocket & leaves with it which was really just garnish.  Coffee was good too, although not the best I have had.  It is at the back of a nursery and you cross a bridge over a duck filled lake to access it, so it is a pleasant walk before/after brunch.  There are a variety of seating options as well, inside, in the summer house or outside, depending on the weather and how hardy you are.  I saw the wait staff taking scones to another table and they were enormous, but I didn't taste them so can't attest to them.  They did look lovely though.  (Might have to go back another time for a sample!)

Relaxing setting outside today however the wasps and flies were fighting over our food and so we had to retreat to a table inside. Alas, it was a bit stuffy. Waiting staff were attentive and helpful but the food was average. Coffee was very good though. I think I would probably just drop by for afternoon tea rather than a meal. Beautiful nursery and shop had rather nice items for sale. Kids enjoyed feeding the ducks after lunch as part of their kids meal combo.

Fish and Chips with Caramel milkshake.
Very pleased with my choice. The fish was thin cut and looked like a finger which initially put me off but in the end tasted good. It was cooked very well and thankfully the batter was light and crispy. There wasnt any excess oil which really added to the chrunch of the chips. Milkshake was made from syrup which as okay but the best part was that it came in the original mixing cup, 750ml, great portion!
Best part of the cafe is the garden setting that allowed you to pick any spot with your own feeling of relaxation. Plus when you are done with the meal you can walk through the nursery or around their lake.

This place is very pretty, if you like, gardening it's the place for you, lots of plants and flowers for sale they also have a large showroom of gifts, ranging from jewellery to handbags and other Home type items. The place has a large garden with a small creek running through it's beautifully done and has small Bridges to walk across and lots of little ducks. You walk up to a beautiful cafe which has a very large sitting areas and the balcony has a beautiful view. They specialise in there home-made scones which are very fresh and delicious they are actually very big so for $7.50, you get two with jam and cream. Perfect for two people. large variety of beverages and drinks or wines. This place does breakfast and lunches. For lunch I had the seasoned duck with orange and funnel salad. It was delicious and succulent ,the salad was very fresh. The service was attentive and friendly but this place gets very busy so it's best to book. After a lovely feed it's so nice to go for walk and take beautiful photographs of this tranquil and very pretty place. ❀

Milkshakes and other drinks are reasonably priced.A bit on the high price for simple almond croissant $7.90. However they made up with nice presentation with side of thick cream and it was warm and delicious. The simple looking vanilla slice is one of the best I have eaten. Bookings are a must especially on busy weekends.I reckon if you book, you'll get a good seat on the verandah overlooking the many ducks diving and having fun in the pond.

We had brunch here on Saturday - the food was excellent, and the coffee was awesome. Service also cannot be faulted. The only issue for us was the sparrows in the café. One person at the table copped a bird shit on the head and another bird shit landed on a coffee plate. Not what you expect for an indoor restaurant. Then we started to notice the bird shit along the edge of the walls, and the food scraps and opened sugar sachels on the ledges. The staff must think its quaint, but we thought its pretty un-hygienic.

This was my childhood favourite- I loved coming here because of it's gorgeous shop and of course, it's magical nursery. Whenever I come here, I always receive the best service - the staff are always so attentive and friendly. My favourite part of coming here is the coffees- they are so good. I also really enjoy the foccaccias here however, I wouldn't recommend the steak sandwich. For the price of it, it needs something a little more special!
