Very friendly service, a great selection of pies, pastries, sandwiches and cakes, and the coffee is decent too! Didn't have to wait long and there were both indoor and outdoor seating.

Perfect brekky place next to Yarra in Warrandyte. Beautiful spread of brunch, drinks and coffee. The bagels are my pick.....and ofcourse the aussie classics...pies, sausage rolls, sangas, wraps and pide. Nice vibes, friendly staff...spot on location. And yes....Since 1982 👌

Lasagne pie was soo good that I took one bite then just devoured the whole pie. Bloody good pies.

Deli / Cafe..... Hardly. Dropped in to get a late breakfast hoping to maybe order some cooked eggs. Only thing on the menu is a cacophony of carb rich, precooked assortment of fatty foods with gourmet names. In an attempt to stick to my medically recommended carb free diet, I asked for anything that wasn't carb rich. Recommended a small quiche thing with bacon and egg that I later discovered was filled with potato. (reminiscent of the old joke about feeding lamb to a vegetarian cause he couldn't eat meat) The quiche thing with the gourmet name, had the savory of something typically purchased at a fast food outlet. The tea was OK. Hard to mess up putting a tea bag in hot water. All for the budget price of $13. So if you like (very) overpriced precooked carb rich food that is assured to harden your arteries and shorten your life span ... this is the place. The only thing missing are the golden arches out the front. Never Again!!!

The food was amazing! Plenty of vegetarian options too. The staff were lovely and went above and beyond with service. Definitely recommend!!

This is known as one of the best coffee places in the area and certainly in the mornings, with plenty of tradies flying in and out to get their fix, it must be good. Located centrally opposite the Yarra River, this is a great place not just for coffee but also for food and meeting up with people. There is generous seating inside as well as out the front under cover. Dogs are welcome. Food choices are plentiful with wraps, focacias, pies, sandwiches and even ice cream etc. Staff are always so helpful and really take the time to get to know their clients. You can eat in or take away. The parking is pretty good out the front as most people are coming and going pretty quickly, otherwise you can park behind the cafe at the rear. Wheelchair friendly. Stroller/pram friendly. Kids welcome with portion sizes that suit them. Highly recommend.

Consistency, training and management are some of the keys to providing a great customer experience. Today we were treated to excellence in all three areas. While Phoebe was taking our orders, which is much harder when customers are wearing masks, Jaquie, was multitasking like a maestro. Seeing an employer caring for her staff and nurturing them through the early stages of their employment is how solid teams are made. Keep it up!

We went for a weekend away & we had breakfast and lunch and the food was amazing �� I recommend anyone that wants breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's amazing & fantastic �� Coffee was fantastic � Drinks also�

The only place to go to in Warrandyte for superb coffee, very friendly and fast service. The cafè is spotlessly clean and since they have widened the path outside the place is dog friendly. Again it is the only place to go for a great cup of coffee and friendly service. It is my home away from home!

Good food, great coffee! A must see when you visit Warrandyte!

Called in after the market today, luke warm coffee and hot chocolate. Sold out of pies and sausage rolls, we accepted the offer of having one heated up in the oven which was fine, we were cool to wait. It came out cold and the older lady didn't seem impressed when we asked politely for it to be heated again. Also a bit of confusion with our order.

Nothing overly fancy here, but a good variety of sandwiches and pastries (great pies!) for lunch at good prices. Also have delicious Everest ice cream!

Nice little cafe for a quick lunch. Display is always beautifully set with all the delicious food to choose from. Soy latte delicious as well. Great place for little kids as they can choose what they’d like to eat from the display - and actually eat it as they have seen what it looks like 😊

Sometimes finding a simple lunch can be difficult. Especially with the Melbourne being populated with all the fancy things! Today was a real ‘I need a simple lunch’ day and fortunately came across the River View Cafe in Warrandyte.<br/><br/>The cabinet in the cafe was filled with delicious looking wraps, focaccia’s, baguettes, pies, sausage rolls, fill pastries etc. it was actually hard to pick which beauty was going to be the winner.<br/><br/>What we ordered:<br/>- prosciutto, tomato, cheese<br/>- chicken schnitzel focaccia <br/>- lemon slice <br/>- orange and poppyseed cake <br/><br/>We didn’t complain, we loved it! Focaccia & baguette were both fresh and filled with delicious fillings. <br/><br/>We will be back!

A fairly basic quick food cafe. Most food is ready to go and just needs to be toasted or heated, or can go as is. The service and food was fine and there was water available to help yourself to. I would like to see some more labels with some of the items on display so that you know what they are and how much they cost. Staff told us when asked, but it would be better if they were labelled.

Good coffee and friendly service. Their takeaway sausage rolls are yum, but are neverrrr hot. We have these often and can have the first few bites but have to take the rest home to warm them up. If you can pleaaasee figure out your warming times so that they are hot, or at least warm through, you will be getting top marks from me!!!<br/>Thanks

Great cafe in the beautiful leafy Warrandye been coming here for 15 years great selection of food,coffee and cakes there something for everyone. Had the schnitzel focaccia it was amazing followed by a baked newyork cheesecake yum can’t go wrong coming here staff are great

I have rated the one star for the customer service. No matter good your food is, lack of customer service will push customers away. Will not be back.

Often stop by for a sausage roll as these guys do the real deal...proper meat and veg in them not just flour and pastry! Great selection of takeaway sweets as well.

Bad ingredients in wraps, I had old brown lettuce in my wrap! The pie was all burnt inside, the pies ingredients were made up of gravy and that was pretty much it. Couldn't taste the meat because it was ground down to a fine powder! Will not be stopping past again! <br/>

Taking a guess that this cafe has changed hands a few times in recent years, and the skill of coffee making and service has been handed down! Great coffee, ordered my flat white from here 2 days ago. Perfect. 8/10. The selection for foccacias rolls food here are huge. Favorite is the chicken avocado.

I came here for a quick bite after our morning walk with my sister and the dog! It was a great little cafe. It's menu was full of variety for a quick lunch time snack! <br/><br/>I decided on getting the tandoori sandwich that was prepared in the window. It was very fresh. The bread was crisp and crunchy, the ingredients in the sandwich were full of flavour and blended well together! I also got an iced chocolate (I was envious when I saw my sisters glorious iced chocolate, I just had to get one) and boy was it beautiful!

Great Cafe - have been going here for quite some time now. Coffee is great, focaccias are amazing and service is second to none. They are also open early which is a massive + because most other cafes aren't opening until 8am.

Popped in to Riverview Cafe to grab a spot of lunch. <br/>I ordered a prosciutto salad sandwich which was unfortunately warmed through 😔<br/>I mentioned to the staff who were more than happy to replace the sandwich with a freshly made one, they even gave us a complimentary vanilla slice!<br/>Lovely little cafe with great staff! <br/>We will definitely be back!

The Riverview Cafe as the name would suggest is situated with glimpses of the Yarra up from the main shopping strip in Warrandyte. One of the best things about this place is the number of tables in a large will ventilated space. The cafe itself tries to cater for everyone which can appear to look a little bipolar at times. Offering Antico coffee to cater for hipster tastes, food options expected in a good cafe (sandwiches, gourmet pies etc), an ice creamery and even select local groceries (offers local honey and other produce). Having said that the service is impeccable and the fact that they are open earlier than any other of the cafes in the main part of town means that it is perfect for early morning tradies or corporates getting their caffeine fixes on their way into their respective work places. I think this cafe has the potential to upset a number of the newer cafes in the area by offering good old fashioned service, decent food at a reasonable price. 4 stars purely based on the service with a smile every time!
