Review Bojangles Restaurant - Warrnambool

Really enjoyed the atmosphere, the decor, staff were attentive and friendly. We haven’t eaten out for well over 12 months, and really glad we chose Bojangles to wet our appetites. Also the pizzas are absolutely delicious. Very worth a night out , thank you!!

Just been back here after more than 20 years, and they still have some of the best pizza ever. Service is attentive and top notch as well. A must-try if you're ever in the Warrnambool area.

Great customer service! Pizza was good quality fresh ingredients. The smoked salmon pasta was average the sauce wasn’t quite thick enough and just seemed to be lacking some flavour. Overall a decent experience

Service was really friendly. They were quite busy on a Saturday night and I could hear lots of people asking about the status on their orders. So I felt a little bad when mine showed up way before people who ordered ahead of me. The hot lips potatoes were pretty good. The Texas pizza was just ok. The steak on it was cut into huge chunks, making it hard to eat. Strips of steak would have been nicer.

Overall had a wonderful experience at Bojangles. We were very happy with the service provided and the friendliness of staff which was well supported by the ambience of the restaurant - lovely artwork and presentation inside. Staff were even thoughtful enough to provide my 5 year daughter with real pizza dough, a wooden roller and some plastic cut outs for her to make her animal shaped mini pizzas - appreciated this gesture greatly. Now, the food that we ordered was very good. Texas Steakhouse Pizza I personally found this pizza to be exceptional. Perfected cooked, plenty of toppings and sauce. Yet hardly any grease/oil. I really enjoyed this pizza and recommend this. All Amatriciana - spaghetti pasta Lovely pasta with rich flavours and textures. Generous serving size. Both myself and my wife enjoyed eating this dish. Kids Menu - Hawaiian Pizza/Chips/Orange Juice/Sundae Serving size for this menu was exceptional and in fact my 5 year old wasn't able to eat it all - however we could tell she was enjoying the food as she was busy scooping the food. I do recommend this restaurant for others to visit and experience themselves. A very pleasant experience.

Always knew Bojangles had the best pizzas in town but as I don’t get Takeaway very often I had never ordered anything else but tonight I felt like some risotto. The chef made up seafood takeaway risotto for me and it was superb. It had 2 muscles, prawns, fresh calamari and salami. The Risotto was just delicious. The size of the takeaway would feed 2-3 adults easily ( I will be eating it all week ) the staff were friendly and the amount of people coming and going you would of thought it was a weekend ( it is a Tuesday night ) . Definitely recommend this place 5/5

Wonderful place for local Pizza and Pasta. Tried Bombay Pizza, had a unique taste with well marinated chicken and sprinkle of sesame seeds. Outside sitting gives nice local ambience. But if too cold, had an option to cosily sit inside.

Down from Melbourne about a month ago. Bojangles came highly recommended. Nice restaurant, however very busy and not pram friendly (some small stairs you have to pull the pram up and down). Very very busy. And so loud inside that you can barely stalk to others on your table. Food was good. However, due to being busy took ages to come out . Would have been alright if they didn’t cover my pizza in anchovies (when I asked for no anchovies). Then had to wait another half an hour for them to re make them. Food was good though!

They only brought half our order.. we ended up cancelling the rest because it was getting late. This is after, We had to wait for a table even though there were a few tables free. We had also ordered from the kids menu and the icecream sundae took forever.

Extremely long wait for food. Food came an hour after ordering, and only after I chased up on it. Staff not friendly. Food was ok, but not worth the wait.

Waited over an hour for a medium pizza, while 6 tables around us got multiple pizzas before us. Our server only checked on the pizza after we asked and then we waited another 20 minutes after that. Offered complimentary drinks, but I think they should have discounted the cost of the pizza after that long of a wait. Probably won’t be back, as our last experience was the same.

We waited over an hour for our kids meals (1.5 for adults) and the kids meals were cold in the middle. Food was okay but for a Monday night, in school holidays, expectations were higher. They did discount the kids meals and they all loved their sundaes

After a long days work I ordered a pizza to be delivered less than a km away. Pizza came in a normal timely fashion. Although the pizza is normally awesome, I wasn’t extremely pleased as it was a little cold. I explained when I ordered over the phone that I needed a tax invoice for work. When it arrived there was no tax invoice. I rang a hour later to ask if they could send one through. Still hadn’t came. So I drove down to explain my frustration. I spoke with the owner Simon. He was very apologetic and understood what I needed. He also expressed that he was very sorry for the cold pizza and offered a replacement. As I had already ate it I said it wasn’t about the money as work pays for it. I really just needed the receipt for work. I explained I wasn’t prepared to buy from here again. This is what turned me around. Not only Simon was very professional but more than happy to accommodate. <br/>If you want a great pizza and great service, speak to Simon. Share my experience. Simon was very professional and has a customer that has had a bad experience but overall o have ordered from here many times and will again. A1 service from a great small business owner. Good food and great place to bring the kids. Staff were great and got the kids meals out early. We had pasta pizza and steak, all were tasty.

can’t believe the attitude of the blonde hair lady . firstly we sat down and she made us get up and stand back at the register then she had the worst attitude i have ever received in my life . all other staff were nice . at the register the girl asked us a group of 8 was everything ok , i replied not really then the angry lady dropped in and went at us again i said i wasn’t talking g to you. we paid and left . been coming to warnambool for 10 years and alway patronised this place . never again and i will tell all to avoid . one of my guests left half way thru the meal as he feared he would be violent to the lady due to the rudeness towards us and him .

Extremeley rude staff. Could not believe my ears the way i was spoken to!! Would not go here ever again! Terrible sining experience to be spoken to like a 5 year old child!

After a 45 minute wait for my food I was left disappointed by the pizza & pasta. The Kazakhstan pizza has to be the worst I’ve ever had. The pasta was bland with no flavor. Massive disappointment.

Easily worst pizza I had ever.. we delivery premium pizza and it was almost no topping and top dry. Menu sounds fancy but Absolutely not worth paying $24 honestly.

It was actually quite ok. No surprises, but a basic menu with something for most that will be cooked well enough. Certainly a comfortable place I could recommend if driving by Warrnambool given the short list of mouth watering options. Service was also friendly which wins it a few brownie points.

Strongly recommended Grant special. Full of butter and cheese on the pizza. The prawns are fresh. But the pasta just so so. And the environment is too dark and service was not that good.

LOVED THIS PLACE!!! Food was delicious, I had the chicken, pumpkin, and crispy prosciutto gnocchi. So good, pizzas were huge and generous in serving too. Staff were awesome and the atmosphere was great. Really impressed with their interior. Would definitely go back.

The place has nice interior, some part of restaurant looked dark and romantic with candles while the other has glassroof which makes the room really bright. The service was really attentive. We had kazakhstan pizza and the grants special fettucine, and passion fruit creme brulee. Kazakhstan pizza was okay, lots of meat. I was not a fan at beginning since i have never had middle eastern flavour on pizza, but slowly i started to like it. The only disappointing thing was we were seeing all pictures on the wall where the dough looks really fluffy yet our pizza came with normal flat bread. The grants special sauce was amazing. Lots of prawns, very generous of it. Pasta could be cooked softer, but that is just my preference. But yeah, the sauce was really nice. Portion is rather small for price but yeah generally pretty good food. Passion fruit brulee was really nice and refreshing.

Really didn’t enjoy the pizza. Dry base, tomato and cheese had no flavor. Toppings average. And $24 for a large! <br/>Young staff were friendly though

The service was terrible , we ordered entrees and then mains. Hour later our Mains come out 40min later our entrée. Absolutely disgusting. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

We live in Melbourne. <br/>We went there first time around 4 years ago, we loved the restaurant and always missed the food there.<br/>Today we went back there and experienced better food and service.<br/>First, they knew we had kids so they had a dough and some drawing pens ready for us. <br/>We ordered a pizza (the lot) and 4 pasta dishes (seafood, pumpkin and pin, Italian sausage, Lasagne). The pizza was perfect! Best pizza we ever had. The pasta dishes were very delicious. <br/>Will come back for it.

Not bad. Pumpkin soup was tasty and so was the bread with it but soup came in a bowl that was so flat it was almost a plate so most of the soup was cold. Beer battered chips were great, aioli lacked flavour. Asked for my espagna pasta to come with a side of red sauce (Napoletana) but they thought I meant tomato sauce (ketchup) and I was too embarrassed to ask for pasta sauce again lol. Lots of chorizo in the pasta but prawns were a little underdone and sauce was super greasy. Hubby liked his pizza but $25 for the medium is a bit $$$.

Disgraceful service. Whilst it was Easter, we did have a booking. Waited 30 min. No-one even took our drinks order, let alone a meal order. A single person walk-in got served and received their meal, while we waited and were ignored.

Went there tonight,never again poor service ,over priced and tasteless charged an extra $7 when my son changed his mind and ate in,brucetta toast was burnt I will vote with my wallet never again

Attempted to have pizza delivered. For some reason called us 10 minutes after ordering to be told pizza would arrive in 20..<br/>Called back an hour later to be told "just coming out be the oven now". <br/>Almost 2 hours all up. <br/>All agreed, some of the worst pizza we'd had.<br/>First time we couldn't actually see cheese on a pizza..<br/>Never. Again.

I took pasta ,It's was so good and tasty ,nice guys ,next time I come back I'm gonna try your pizza it's look liked so so wonderful. And the staff was cool as well.

Staff appeared competent, though something went awry between taking our orders and making them as it took over two hours for our meals to arrive. Most of our orders were turned back as the kitchen was out (despite having booked), and then some orders never made it to the table. The pizzas were oily, the squid was tasteless and appeared to be from a frozen packet, as were the prawns. The pasta was claggy as though from a can. An awful experience. Very embarassing to call this place a restaurant. WONT RETURN.

We wanted an early uncomplicated dinner after driving the Great Ocean Road and knowing we had a big day ahead of us. After looking at a few other options decided to go with a pizza. First impressions on entering the restaurant are not great as you pass by the kitchen, then the cluttered waiter bay, but the back area with seating where you eventually arrive to is rather pleasant, the large skylight window gives the room a real lift. My husband enjoyed a seafood gourmet pizza and I had a rather fiery salami, feta and pesto one. The waiter was very courteous, he'd definitely been to some sort of customer training course as he couldn't be faulted as far as service and friendliness goes.

After a week in Warrnambool a pizza here hit the spot - very old school style place and good for children and families! If you are travelling through I'd suggest a few more places to try pizza at first but they were open late night - a plus for us! <br/>

Great for the family and quite reasonably priced. Would recommend bojangles for any family looking for a good meal together. The kids colouring and dough was fantastic

Not sure what's happened here....so hit and miss but lately more miss. Had a table of 6, pizza still awesome! 2 x steaks asked for med and came out no pink at all with burnt black edges (after a long wait). Both mushroom and pepper sauces tasted of red wine and claggy. Veal saltimocca came out crumbed (not mentioned on menu) w no sauce....polenta dry. Really disappointed as the atmosphere and staff here are great. I hope it turns around!

Where to begin?<br/>Staff absolutely rude, no greeting or anything. But the blond behind be had both blokes jump at the chance to say hi.<br/>Pasta was terrible, pollo fungy was split, no seasoning, and chicken dry and cooked too death. Bacon burnt, waste of my money, would rather homebrand mac and cheese from safeway.

Enthusiastic service but very slow delivery on meals. And an Italian restaurant that has no bread? Portions reasonable size. Won't come back.

The food was shocking. Pasta was overcooked to the extend that it started breaking up with excess oil drizzling on the plate. Pizza in premium price category was described as New Orleans style with Cajun sauce and guacamole on the menu. What was actually served was dried chicken in tasteless sauce with avocado slices on the top. When we pointed out the mistake to the waitress, she apologised and offered to bring up some guacamole. Again to our astonishment, mashed avocado was served and claimed to be guacamole. This restaurant thinks anyone who dines there is a fool. I hope anyone who considers to dine there not to place themselves under such mistreatment.

The wait time was a little ridiculous for pizza. Around 50 mins after our entree came out. The pizza was quite tasty but definitely not worth the wait in my opinion.

Bojangles is usually busy so it's quite a loud place but the food is great. The deliver the best steaks every time, so delicious at a reasonable price. Definitely recommend Bojangles. Also their delivery service is great, being able to order and pay online if you dont have cash at home

Dont go on a sat night! Had to wait almost 90min for meals. Chicken avacado gnocci was watery and flavourless but carbonara fettucini was ok. Wouldnt go back.

Parent heaven. Who would have thought a ball of pizza dough was the golden ticket to a fab night out. Delivered with the kids menu & pencils before we even sat down. Very friendly & helpful service, good food (not amazeballs, but def not bad), not too noisy. Highly recommend as a solid experience with the kidlets.

Terrible. We order 2 large pizzas both dry bases and very oily and if it weren't for the bacon it would have been completely tastless. The spag marinara tasted like straight tomato paste and was over cooked and gluey, considering it was approx $25 I was more than disappointed when I only ate the mussels. The service was good but the wait was too long. I tried posting on their Facebook page but the surprisingly rgey haven't posted it. Wouldn't recommend this place

When I first walked in I felt very welcomed and the atmosphere was cosy and warm. The service was really good and the food was delicious. The serve of each dish was large and it was worth it for the price. I like it.

Chose this place based on the reviews on here. Best pizza I have had in a while. The gourmet pizzas are inventive and do not disappoint. Admittedly we did wait a fair amount of time for our entree and then our main, however, being a long weekend and a busy resturant it was to be expected. It was definitely worth the wait in the end, will be comming back here next time we are in warrnambool.

The staff were nice and inviting however the food is average and overpriced. It took over an hour for my small pizza to arrive and there wasn't anything amazing as I could buy a pizza half the price and larger the portion elsewhere.

TERRIBLE. I initially wrote a review on facebook which their management decided to remove rather than address the problem. So I will re-write it here where they can't delete the truth of their shameful service. <br/>The service is dreadful. We waited over an hour for pizza then gave up and got it as a takeaway instead, still charged us full price of course.<br/>The pizza is ridiculously overpriced for very average pizza. But you can get away with it in the country.<br/>Save your time and money and go elsewhere. I will never return to this joke of a restaurant.

Lived in warrnambool many years and have just experienced the worst bruschetta and pasta. Keep an eye out for quality control.

Pretty awful. Been here many times, but the last six months have been just awful. My last visit had someone in my group wait 2 hours for his meal! We were all ready to leave for home, while he was still waiting. On top of this, there were mistakes riddled throughout our 10 person table. <br/>Used to be one of my favourite restaurants in town because food was awesome and very consistent. I will not be going back.

Great service, even though it was busy, and the food was great. Seem to be accommodating for both adult groups and families with kids. Gave our munchkins dough to roll/shape, then cooked it in the oven for them.

Worse over time. 4 years ago I would have said I loved this place, but it has become pretty average lately. Takeaway pizza's can be much worse than eat in pizza.

Delicious pizza!! Ask for the El Benji, it's not on the menu but it's one of their specials...tastes like a taco...amazing!!!

Just had the best pizza I have EVER eaten!!!! It was called the El Benji Taco pizza... The service was awesome. Everyone was so friendly.. I hope this pizza becomes a regular choice on the menu as it was only a special. I have eaten here a few times as I travel to the area for work and its the only restaurant that I like in the area. They never disappoint here. The Grant special pizza is also yum..

It's true what people say about the long wait. For pizzas I can understand but for the salad we ordered, it's really not justifiable. We ordered the pizza bread with 3 dips. The bread was average and of e dips, we enjoyed the basil and pine nut the most. Had a chorizo and red capsicum one which was a bit too salty. The last one was a sweet chutney-like one that came cold which was a lil weird. Besides this, we ordered a spinach, mint, walnut, honey, beet root salad which we didn't really enjoy. Can't rmb what cheese was used but it had a very strong taste. We also had a grant special and a Kazakhstan. Portions were very large even for a medium - lots of ingredients - perhaps a bit too much. The bread wasn't Italian much - more like the thicker American kind. The sauces, we felt, were very normal (like one of those bottled sauces) and a bit too salty for my liking. Overall, I won't say I don't like this place but in terms of quality, I was definitely expecting more given how many awards they have won for their pizzas.

OK.... They delivered to our apartment which was nice. Had the espagna pizza - lots of prawns, however really spicy. Greek salad was ok, a bit mushy. Pasta had about 100 mL of oil in the bottom of the container, however the dish itself was quite nice. I'm sure it would be a lot better if you eat in.

Still confused. 2nd time here, and I don't know if there will be a third.<br/><br/>I ordered a glass of Moscato - on the specials board - only to be told that they had none left. Okay, that happens (maybe remove it from the specials board)... but when you don't have what I order, bring me a menu so I can choose something else. No... wait... don't bother, I'll just drink the water.<br/><br/>The pasta is standard - choose your sauce, choose your pasta... What I don't understand is why I can't have the angel hair pasta that is on the specials board with a different sauce. Waiter said that I can't because they won't have enough for the special. Okay.. then... I'll have the special (angel hair pasta with swimmer crab and prawn... Tasty... but not fresh pasta - so I don't understand the comment about running out of pasta... Idea - maybe open another packet of pasta and cook it up.<br/><br/>The steak was also ordered, without a sauce - a nice crust, though a little more cooked than ordered (medium when med-rare ordered).<br/><br/>This is a family style place charging fine dinning prices. There are other options just up the street at similar prices with better customer service.

Such slow service we nearly walked out, plus rude & disinterested staff, not good.

Service was slow, food was okay. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing. They got our bill wrong but was very apologetic when we pointed it out. Maybe it was because it was unusually busy night, but we will try something different next time.

Ate in once it was decent- great steak and seafood. Recently had some pizza delivered and was ill afterwards. Won't bother trying here again

The best pizza! Both normal and gluten free! I recommend the pizza with bacon chives sour cream cheese and potato. It was AMAZING (I forgot the name)

The pizzas here are fantastic. Lots of flavour and the presentation is great. I had the Kazakhstan which was very well cooked and delicious. Highly recommend the Seafood Pasta Pan - great flavors - better than the Marinara. Staff and service was great.

Great food. My wife and I dined here based on the previous reviews. We didn't feel like pizza or pasta so chose the steak and salmon items off the menu. Both meals were fantastic - one of the best steaks I have had in recent memory. We asked for a side serve of chips to be well done and they were done to perfection. Service was a bit on the slow side as the restaurant was full but the quality of the food made the short wait well worthwhile. Generous serves and reasonably priced. Overall a great night out.

Pizza Quality. Had a medium pizza with the lot (take away) the other night and a greek salad. I might be a bit fussy but it didn't taste that good. The base was a funny taste and the flavour of the toppings did not seem to gel. I would rate it as a 5.5 to 6 out of 10. The greek salad was okay, but nothing to rave about.

Had a large group for a birthday dinner. All of our orders were wrong when they arrived. The waitress was unapologetic and grumpy as if it were our fault. Entrees came out after mains and coffees didn't even arrive! Then as we went to pay we were informed that they don't split the bill. C'mon, splitting a bill is easy! Haven't been back since. Food was ok but expensive.

Very disappointing. After being seated on the worst table in the restaurant next to the electrical switchboard and busy entry we were surprised to see Melbourne prices in country Victoria. My brother ordered a pizza which was nothing special and eaten before my main even arrived. After asking the waiter what was going on with my meal we still had to wait what seemed like an eternity. It was the worst lasagne I have ever eaten. In fact I threw it out after a few mouthfuls. Long wait....overpriced...and crap food...

Great pizza restaurant. Have been here a few times and have enjoyed both the food and staff. The head waiter in particular was more than helpful and extremely attentive when he needed to be, couldn't have asked for more. Definitely recommend this place to eat

I don't know what Kate was talking about, but the wait staff at this restaurant were lovely and the food was divine!! The seating situation is a bit confusing but once we were shown to out table we were served delicious food from staff who were friendly without being overbearing. Great food, great service, two thumbs up from me!

As an avid pizza lover I always look for originality and creativity, I recently tried the restaurants latest addition (the giovanni) a baked potato pizza topped with bacon spring onion garlic butter and dollops of sour cream, it was an absolute delight, only later was I informed the pizza was named after the creator....well done Giovanni ;)

Don't bring a large group. I've been here a number of times over the last few years and generally have no complaints. However we made a booking for a group of 23 on a busy Saturday night last year and then had to wait an hour for our meals. During that time we saw other groups come and go.<br/><br/>The problem was compounded by our group having 6 children which made the wait even less acceptable. <br/><br/>We were later told by the manager that it was difficult to deal with such a group on a busy night. If that is the case they should not have taken the booking.

Would recommend...... Great service, lovely waitress. Food would have been great except my steak was very under cooked which made me leave most of it on the plate. I ordered it medium-well and I would say it was more like medium rare! :-(<br/><br/>Other than that, I would highly recommend!!!

Worth a Visit!. We went our for dinner here, as recommended by another business in Warrnambool. We had a lovely time and the food was very reasonably priced. A really great selection of pizzas and pastas. I had the prawn ravioli, yummo!

Rudest waiter ever!!!!. After a long drive we were relieved to find this restaurant open. Immediately dissapointed by the rudest waiter I have ever come across in my life! not knowing otherwise we sat ourselves a table only to be told off like children for not waiting to be seated and made to get up go back to the stairs and wait to be seated pretty much back where we started. I was flabbergasted at his attitude and unbeliveable rudeness. Embarrassing as I was showing overseas guests Australia and as a travel agent I will specifically recomend people do not go to this restaurant. Shame food is fantastic. loose the attitude you are not working at a 5 star restaurant in New York sunshine....

Fricking brilliant! Duck ravioli was unbelievable. Delicious pizzas. Can't wait to go back.

Best service , pasta serving size is little small but the taste is okay, and the pizza is so nice especially Bombay pizza is the best .... At the end is a little expensive then I expected.

Average to good food. Service lacks overall and hedging towards poor. Cramped and pricey for the quality of food.

Best pizza. Get grant's special, Bombay or Kazakhstan, the grant's will blow your mind though, so be prepared
