Review The Newmarket Room - Warwick Farm

Samantha Bejin
Beautiful dining experience at the Newmarket restaurant. Whilst the menu is on the small side, you will find a suitable option for most individuals. The service was amazing - friendly and attentive. The food was fresh, and great tasting. I would recommend this for celebrations, special occasions or just when you want to treat yourself. This restaurant is inside the William Inglis hotel, which also has some great bars and cocktail options.

The new menu is great. Bit on the pricey side but its worth it. Great cocktails and selection of wine. The ambience is great, professionally trained staff

Lovely lunch with my friend. Very good service. Constant filling of water glasses as we had a lot of catching up to do and they did not try and hurry us up. Food was excellent. Lovely ambience. Not cheap but good quality.

This place is an absolute dream location is everything the atmosphere and vibe of Newmarket Room I wish the menu had more variety or they changed items or added or had a secret menu as I have tried everything so it does get repetitive with ordering. My favourites are any of the steaks - Oysters - all the desert's - but I go mainly for the cocktails and the service. The service is 5 stars , cleanliness could seriously be considered and improved. Bring back high tea weekend and week day mornings as well. Would love to be able to drink pool side is the pool open yet can we eat there

The place was extremely quiet on a Sunday lunch. The service was very very slow and we had to check on staff to get our orders and update on our dishes several time. (3h for a main and dessert... ) The food was relatively good but not excellent. I was expecting something more original and better for the price.

The staff are absolutely amazing, the food is good quality and it is not that expensive for the quality, if it gets busy, service does slow down but don't worry just wait as the food is really good, the new hang out for me.

Amazing evening! Outstanding service! Flavoursome menu matched by the wine list. Last time we dined here was over a year ago and it was okay, today was excellent and we will be back! Great local gem, underrated. Compliments to the Chef!

The ambiance and food at the restaurant is exquisite and for the most part unfaultable. Unfortunately where they lose the two stars from my rating is the speed of service. Although the staff are very friendly it took 30 minutes for our order to be taken and then the same for each course to come out. Not sure what the issue was as there seemed to be adequate staff. All up it was a four hour marathon for 3 courses which wasn’t what we were expecting. Again, a shame since the food was very nice.

Faultless quality throughout the whole place. It is gratifying to see how the Inglis family and their staff have incorporated the history of the original Newmarket sales and stable facility from Randwick into this 5 star establishment. No detail has been missed and the quality of the inclusions has to be seen to be believed. The staff and management obviously take pride in their surroundings and the outdoor and garden areas are a real highlight. The rooms have individual touches and from either single room or suite you are spoiled for comfort. Incredible experience.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The grounds were amazing and everything was well thought out. Food was really good, although the kids meals were small (steak and chips) I would also recommend they add a cheaper option for wine, the cheapest bottle was over $50.

All the staff are extremely friendly but also extremely competent. The upstairs bar is a very pleasant place to have a pre-dinner drink and the young lady behind the bar is also very nice but competent. The young man playing the guitar was good and played acceptable music, not the usual screeching singing we hear too much of elsewhere. The food was good and well presented. Overall it was a very pleasant evening, one which we hope to repeat frequently.

The Next Rush
Post Melbourne cup it was great to head out to Warwick Farm racecourse which is home to Sydney South wests’s only 5 star hotel (William Inglis).   A beautiful garden terrace setting it was like stepping into the set of Downtown Abbey or something.  Make sense since this property has ties to Sofitel.

Early dinner at the Newmarket Room, inside the William Inglis Hotel was excellent. Shared scallops with pork cheek, pappardelle with mushroom and short rib, cone bay barramundi with Romesco, coconut cake to share, plus a glass of sparkling called Drama Queen, and a passionfruit cocktail.

While Alice kicks her heels up in Europe, I’ve been catching up with Kim, a fellow food blogger from Go West Gourmet. Last week we visited Warwick Farm and had a 5 star dining experience at The William Inglis Hotel. The  William Inglis is an upmarket hotel which overlooks Warwick Farm Race Track.  A magnificent sculpture of a horse and strapper stands at the entrance, and there's an ongoing horse theme throughout the hotel grounds.
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
Breakfast, which can be included in your room rate, is taken in the Newmarket Room. We were seated in a comfortable booth under large murals of bathing horses. The same attention to equine detail extended to a row of buckles along the top edge of our padded olive green banquette. They would have perhaps been more fun as bedroom details if baby likes to pony... BYO riding crop and shiny boots.Breakfast is served buffet style from a range of heated silver chafing dishes. It’s a small selection of the usual suspects – scrambled eggs, baked beans, bacon, sausages, tiny button mushrooms swimming in liquid... I’m a bit bored to be honest, as I peruse the selection while I wait for my toasts to make...
