Food is good very much. There are many customers. Service is nice. The price is suitable for lots of people. Overall, it is nice and I will go there again with my friends.
I have been to the restaurant ever since they open so l could say l am a long time customer, but due to my own personal reasons, l haven’t been there for over 6 months. Just recently l went back to the restaurant to have dinner with few of my friends and families, and l have to say their food was as good as before if not better. The manager recommended the snow crab and the fresh scallops and oysters, which was the best dishes l have had for a while, highly recommended 👍👍
Monday night cheat meal for two. Sezuchan beef, special fried rice, mixed veges with oyster sauce all quite passable withour being remarkable. Will order again without issue. Online menu is out of date/incorrect prices.
Love this restaurant, we go regularly. Staff are friendly and food is yummy. Yum cha is also nice but has little vegetarian dishes for yum cha unfortunately.
We love serenade palace for dim sum. Nice and close to home. Friendly staff always very accommodating for our child and pram. Squid legs are my favourite however they are popular and if you aren't seated close to where the trolley comes out, you may miss out. Dumplings are nice too. We will definitely return for dim sum.
Got takeaway 3 times recently, egg fried rice (pictured) along with prawn crackers and fried ice cream. Fast service, delicious food, the egg fried rice is nice and fluffy and filling and it's my only local which advertises the fried icecream on its takeaway menu.
UPDATE 6 AUG: Woke up this nmorning suffering the effects of a concussion I apparently got yesterday afternoon. I was confused, nauseous and hungry, but discovered that Serernade Palace is open at 10AM on Sunday and convinced someone to fetch me takeaway. Eating a full container of the egg fried was the best decision I could have made. Would maybe not recommend eating a full bag of prawn crackers when you have a head injury, but I did that also and they were delicious. Thank you Serenade Palace.
Decent dim sum without having to head into Northbridge. Standard trolley service, comparable pricing to northbridge venues and decent dumplings. They do a pretty mean chicken foot and a good prawn dumpling.
I am a huge yum cha/ dim sum fanatic, have been since I was young and I'll go any chance i get.
I've been here quite a few times now, always at various days and times and it has always been really really good, not the best I've ever had, but it's consistant and there's a decent selection and all the staff are super friendly and accomodating.
Thanks for being a great local!
After reading the reviews of this place, I was a bit weary of going here for yum cha lunch on a Thursday, but I was pleasantly surprised. Food was hot, trolleys came by often, green tea replaced and we could order off the menu as well. Not too bad. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat without heading into Northbridge give this a try. Maybe they are attempting to lift their game a bit.
I've mainly been here for dim sum on a Sunday morning but also a few occasions for dinner, and I'd say that both options are pretty decent. Service has always been good and price is on par to most restaurants serving similar food. Happy to keep going there, especially as it's only a few hundred meters away from my abode
Lovely Dinner and Dim Sum. Came here to celebrate Chinese new year with friends and was not diaspointed. The food was delicious and quickly served. Found the price to be very reasonable for the amount of food we got. The food was so good that we came back the next day for dim sum and was not disappointed.
A wonderful surprise and great find.. I've just finished reading the reviews for Serenade Palace and was surprised by some of them. We found the food to be delicious, so many Chinese Restaurants westernise their food, this food was very authentic, perhaps that's why so many reviewed this place as bland, they are so used to over salted food that when it's made like it should be it doesn't taste right! As for price, I thought it was very well priced and there is no complaint about the service, they were very attentive. Yes I will be back, it is good to know that there is a decent Chinese restaurant local to us.
Good suburban yum cha. Have been for yum cha twice now and both times were great. It is very popular and on a Sunday expect to wait about 20 mins- half an hour to be seated. The foyer is packed with people waiting and they give you a ticket number to call you through. Service has that china town charm.. ie not so flash.. but food is prompt, tasty and cheap. Dumpling baskets (4 pieces) and smaller pieces are about $6 a plate and the larger dishes are $8-$10. Three of us pulled more than we could finish off the carts and it was about $25 pp. Nice pit-stop before a movie. It's also BYO!
Very good food. So this place has had some awful reviews but we had dinner in a group of 10 at Serenade Palace last night and the food was VERY good. Our friend who planned the dinner is Chinese, and he ordered our entire meal (and paid for it too!), so maybe that is why we ate so well - he really knew what to choose. We had beautiful Peking Duck and San Choy Bow for starters, and then a range of dishes which were all delicious, particularly the Pork Belly chunks with the most divine crackling. If you're after fawning waitstaff and top notch surroundings, maybe this place isn't for you, but if you're after very good Chinese food that does not taste like the usual mass produced westernised slop, then you will not be disappointed. I can't say our waitress seemed too excited to see us, however she was very quick to bring an ice bucket for wine, and to fulfil drinks orders etc. A nice night out.
This is one of my all-time favourite restaurants. The food is always great and the service to boot. Strategic seating in this venue definitely pays off however, try and sit as close to the kitchen as possible in order to be first in line for the cart.
I recommend the Har Gow, Crab Claws, Prawn Wantons, Steamed Pork Buns, Soft Shell Crab, Chinese Vegetables, Roast Pork... To be honest everything is good.
The owner is always happy and polite also, which nicely rounds out the dining experience.
Yum Cha. Very tasty yum cha lunch, I definitely will be going again. I enjoyed all the steamed dishes and the custard tarts were good. The salt & pepper squid is worth trying. Nice and clean, good service. Close to the Warwick cinema, so perfect if you want to see a movie afterwards.
Awesome !!!. Really good dim sum for up north, good prices and a good selection, only thing I would say is that the waters/waitress's seem to be in fairy land and completely ignore you.
Great Yum Cha :). Ok, all I can say is that it's one of the better one's compared to Perth standards. I have been going to this restaurant for several years now because it was the only place open, everyday including Sunday (way before Sunday trading- something I admire from this restaurant) and major holidays. The staff are friendly and when you can get their attention, they immediately attend to your needs. The food is ok, it's lacking variety because its the same whether you are in on a Tue or Sat. I love the salt and pepper squid and pork buns. In terms of price well, I have noticed that it has become increasingly more expensive over the years say: 6 small plates of seafood, pork etc for about $65. I have also had dinner at this restaurant, the peking duck which apparently is what they are known for-yes it was very good and quite filling but also good value for $35 p/p for a peking duck 3-course meal.
Love it. I love this place and come here just for the dim sum. This place has the best dim sum north of the river.
What a wonderful experience!!! I will be going back for sure
Love This Place!. I love going here for dim sum. I live about 40 minutes away from this place but I enjoy eating here so much I manage to go nearly once a week, sometimes even twice. I've loved every dish I have tried so far. It's hard to narrow down some favorites but the prawn and chive dumplings, seaweed roll and pork crackling are definitely top of my list.
It's a bit hard to understand the staff some times but they are quite friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends =)
Not bad, not great. Service has gone down hill over the last year
Yummy lemon chicken. Great service. Not greasy and very tasty. Good wonton soup
My partner & I have been coming here on a regular basis for the last few years- always delish! The roast pork, prawn & chive dumplings & steamed BBQ pork buns are our must have dishes each time!
Best Dim Sum north of the river!!. The further north of the river you go, the less Asian (especially Dim Sum restaurants) you will find and this one here in Warwick is probably the best.
The service is great, the location is great and most importantly, the food is sensational.
The salted chilli squids are always amazing and the egg tarts as well.
If you live north of the river and cannot be bothered travelling all the way to the city/Northbridge, go here and sample the tastes of Guangdong/Hong Kong!
Fabulous. We went for Dim Sum today and we walked away very full, very happy and very impressed. It is easily one the nicest asian restaurants we have ever been too, we have been to a few Dim Sums and this was by far the best. And to top it off it only cost $67, and that was feeding 5 of us, three being very hungry teenagers....We will be recommending Seranade Palace to everyone we know...You must go you not be disappointed!!! :D
Great Chinese in Warwick area. My fiancé and I often visit here. The food is fresh, light and tasty.
The service is good.
The restaurant is clean and well decorated.
Being BYO means it makes for a well-priced, nice night out.
I would recommend it as it is the best Chinese we have found in the Balcatta, Stirling, Tuart Hill, Warwick area...and we are fussy.
Give it a try if you are nearby. It's worth it.

Best Dimsum north of river!. This is the best dimsum I've had north of northbridge, and it beat many faves in Northbridge for sheer range of food, taste and service. There was almost TOO much on offer! Take a large group to take advantage of everything!
Agreed with hgreen, this is a very nice dim sum, especially being located north saves me a trip to William street! The service here is very very good, I had all that I ordered on the table within 40 seconds! This would be on par to dragon palace. I was briefly misled by the tag location. Can the position be changed? It's actually located on beach rd not Warwick.
Great Dim Sim!. This is quite a high class chinese restaurant in a similar league to Dragon Palace in Northbridge, and is only about 1 year old now. They offer dim sim on sat and sun. Their dim sim offerings are quite good and include all the favourites like prawn dumplings, steamed chicken and bbq pork buns, chicken feet, soft shell crab, deep fried squid, desserts, etc. Its great to see a place in the northern suburbs offering decent dim sim.
