Magnificient food, if you love a quality buffet at a very reasonable price this is one of the best restaurants in Warwick. Definately be back again very soon.
Better than Sizzler!. I have been to mussels four times now and every time the food was amazing, well sized and at great prices!! My partner is a BIG eater so he loves when we stop in for dinner. We love the variety and the quality of the food in the buffet and it truly puts sizzler to shame! Will definitely come back!
Great food. We lobbed into Mussels on our return trip from Stanthorpe to Toowoomba and are very glad we did so. Not only was the meal generous in size, affordable and delicious, the wait staff was efficient. Took a looooong time to pay the bill though. We weren't particularly in a hurry, so didn't bother us greatly. The quiche was beautiful and I was able to choose my own salads and dressings from their salad bar. My husband chose the small fettucini carbonara and loved it - it was huge. We will make a point to stop their enroute every time from now on.
Raymond. Coffee was too weak but the food is great, love it! Oh & value for money
Diana. Always call in here on a road trip for b/f. Their big b/f is exactly that- BIG!! Even comes with chips & a coffee, easily enough for two to share. An added bonus is their wonderfull bakery & to die for cakes, made on the premises. Coffee is OK if you ask for a double shot, otherwise I found it pretty weak as it comes in a rather large cup. Just love this place
This cafe/restaurant was a great find, when I visited Warwick. Excellent service, bright and cheery staff, with an extensive menu and patisserie. The decor and combination of booths and tables, was complemented by the local artwork which adorned the walls. Food and coffee were excellent, next time I will try them for dinner, rather than afternoon tea.
A cozy buffet, patisserie and al la carte eatery all in one, Mussels is likely to have something to your liking whether you're there with the family for lunch, dinner with a friend, a quick, filling meal or a takeaway coffee and piece of cake. The prices are very reasonable and the decor and service make it a comforting place to sit and enjoy your meal.
The buffet offers a good selection of dishes, covering everything from crispy, tender calamari (not a bad trick, getting them to stay crispy in the bain marie), to pasta and pizza, soup and vegetable bakes and a rather appealing salad bar, featuring a bit more than just garden and greek salads and a few pickles. Drinks and dessert are included, which is not too shabby for the $17.50 I paid at lunch time. Unfortunately I haven't had the pleasure of stopping in for an a la carte meal yet (watch this space) but at least my better half was able to assure me the selection in the pastry display at the front is definitely worthwhile, and he's quite discerning in that regard.
Service seems to be friendly and efficient. I've noticed quite a few bad reviews about the service in the past but either management have sat up and taken note or I've been particularly lucky. Lots of smiles.
Inside, Mussels is cozy, with large tables and several booths, soft lighting and some nice textures. It certainly wasn't slapped together from the McRestaurant catalogue, as so many places are. It's a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal in peace, or a chat or family gathering, as the tables are far enough apart to allow for some privacy. The buffet area is spacious enough that there is no scrum around the food and seems to be kept spotless, even mid-service-time.
Mussels has been a lovely find and I look forward to coming here again. It's not haute cuisine, but it's tasty, varied food at a reasonable price in a comforting atmosphere.
I had a pie and iced coffee - both were great. The meals are great vale for money and the buffet looked good too.
I'd recommend to anyone that's passing through Warwick and is looking for a nice lunch or dinner.
Had an exceptionally good coffee, can sit out front with your dog. Excellent array of pastries on display and the cooked food being served looked delicious and ample in size. Inside and footpath dining available.
I liked the all-you-can-eat buffet. Some variety and it was fresh. Also enjoyed the huge pizza! It seems they have some new staff and lost some. Unfortunately, the service was not as high as it used to be and we waited a long time to get served. Hopefully it will improve.
