Good view, good coffee and fast lunch service - and the cafe was full, so previous complaints about problems seem unfounded. Enjoyed the very fresh fish and the kale and spinach soup.

It was late, but team there was awesome and offered us quick menu. We choose to get bowl of chips 🍟, seriously I have never had chips like I had there. Thumps up guys. Best food and location. Will go again for more options to try

Fantastic atmosphere; very friendly and considerate service and the location is fabulous. Love their philosophy around sustainability and you can enjoy water views and see all the home grown goodies around the cafe. Staff are awesome and happy to accommodate every type of lifestyle choice. Relaxed, easy going and you can have a great conversation as music is very easy on the ears.

There isn't a better place in Sydney. Hands down I love this place - the food, the team (AHMAZING), location - everything.

Second Sunday on a row we are heading to the coal loader . 2 adult 2 kids we had only take away . Coffee and banana bread and some of the best muffin in Sydney ! Today we tried their bread and butter pudding AMAZING. Their are always packed - busy - friendly and very easy going . Go and try it . The food match the view and compliment the peacefulness of the area !!!!

Service was  slow but   very friendly. The salmon patties were great. The salad was the stringy type. Cos would have been    easier to eat without choking . The chips  were great but they  put far too much salt on them which   ruined the taste. Should have been given a   choice if I  wanted   very unhealthy salt on them

Wow~~~ what a nice place, We went there yesterday (Australian day), there are so many people waiting. It's a long queue. We had fish and chips, steak burger and chicken burger, the food is awesome. And nice view too, after brunch we went for a walk to see the Harbour view (just 10mins away from cafe) and it's a dog friendly cafe. Worth try!

It was an unexpected pleasurable find. The service was a little slow, but definitely worth the wait and there are some views for distraction. Yummy coffees and breakfast.

A very nice cafe situated next to the Coal Loader in Waverton. Great staff, the service was nice and friendly and it has a nice view of the bay and the ocean as well.

The food was good, decent quality cafe food like we expected. The steak sandwich was a little tough to chew as the steak was a bit thick but it tasted really good despite that. The Italian meatballs were lovely and the sweet potato chips were well cooked. Very nice place to grab brunch :)

Fantastic coffee to start a tour of the site and surrounds. Wonderful views and a joy that the site has been successfully re-developed. Dog-friendly cafe, wheel-chair accessible, good menu, indoor and outdoor seating options, easy car-parking, lots to see and do. Make sure you check out the gorgeous chooks that are just near the cafe.

A wonderful example of when the built environment can work to sooth the soul. An ex industrial site reclaimed and brings a certain magic to the all ready marvellous harbour setting .Architecture often talks of echoing the past to bring in the future but often just a sales pitch. This is an excellent example of when it works.Visit the tunnel below at night when raining to see a scene from a album cover of a band you nearly know.

Cheap and cheerful place to eat as part of a day out exploring the Coal Loader. and Harbour foreshore. It is a short walk from Waverton Station and offers an inexpensive but tasty menu and good coffee. There is limited seating but take-away is offered and there are lots of places to sit overlooking the Harbour.

Beautiful spot for a great meal (or coffee). Great views of the water & the gardens. Hubby had the mushroom stack but wasn’t keen on the kale - but loved the rest. We’ve eaten here lots & the food’s always good.

Great Cafe with beautiful views and good service. We booked a table half an hour before arriving there. We tried mushrooms stack, eggs on toast and vegetarian frittatas. Everything was really delicious.

Lovely spot. Explore the Coal Loader Area and stop for a coffee or lunch. Sit out or in. Covid safe. Quick service. Good food. I had the salmon cakes and they were lovely. Other plate is calamari with a really nice salad.
