I dined here for brunch on a Sunday with a friend. It is such a quaint setting with a variety of chairs and spaces to sit in depending on what you're feeling. There is plenty of shade and greenery making you feel immersed in a garden scene. Food wise, I had the Summer bruschetta which was a perfect poached egg, avocado, plenty of fresh tomato and a balsamic glaze. Really good flavours and the serving was very generous for the price ($16). I also had a fresh OJ which hit the spot too. My friend had the zucchini and corn fritters ($18) which looked delightful so I'd be keen to give them a go next time.
Nice local cafe, enjoyed the outdoor setting. Quick friendly service, good food. Portions were really big in my opinion at very reasonable prices. We ordered the breakfast pan and bruschetta.

Fantastic cafe on the north side offering beautiful dishes with quality fresh ingredients with a wonderful space for the kids. There plenty of undercover space and it has a really warm neighbourly vibe. The must eat is the pandan French toast !!
Bianca: A whimsical playful café serving traditional café food with a bit of an Asian twist. Botanica Garden Café is nestled just adjacent to the Waverton station. You wouldn’t be remiss to think you had stumbled into an oasis hideaway. There are many nooks and crannies and spacious seating options.
Botanica is a quirky cafe with interesting decor and seating. The menu offers classic cafe fare and some Vietnamese inspired twists.
The staff are super friendly but food service was quite slow. Coffee was good but on the lukewarm side.
The pulled pork roll was delicious and came out fast. The bread was super crispy and the fillings fresh and tasty. The portion is small for the price and would be better if accompanied with chips or some side.
The pandan French toast took a while longer to come out. It was generously topped with fruit and cream. I prefer my French toast to be crunchy on the outside and this one was soft throughout.

Botanica Garden Café used to be a nursery and with its wonderful and interesting “nooks and crannies” you can clearly see that it has kept that “natural” ambience.
The venue really is so cute, beautiful and leafy. There is so much character abound and it is a real “oasis” for children and adults. The décor is quaint and quirky – so many interesting things to see, like the hanging teapots suspended from the roof in one of their many areas. And on one wall where we sat there was a plant with a garden “tap” above it. The tap does not work – it is just a decoration. No matter where you look there is “something” different and unique. Even in the WC, Mlady literally stopped as she walked in. The toilet roll dispenser resembled a camera. How novel is this! It looked like one of those “instant” camera’s where you take the picture and the picture comes out and develops straight away. Amazing – where do they find these things! Even the fridge had “eyes”. Take a wander – this is an amazing place, and the children will love it too.
This place has a fantastic setting, serving amazingly good food effortlessly. All the staff are extremely courteous and friendly and act as if they are proud of their service. The coffee is top notch.
Tucked away next to Waverton station sits one of the cutest cafes. It doesn't seem like much on the eyes when you first look at it but once you've sat down you start to notice all the small details. I love the natural, earthy atmosphere (no AC, all the seating is outdoors). We did struggle a little as it was a VERY hot day but the shade and some of their amazing juices really helped cool us down. You have to try their triple cooked chips if nothing else. They are the best chips I've ever had. Our dishes were all equally as amazing but the chips were definitely the stand out.
Had brunch with my Mum and elderly Uncle here - something for everyone! Portion sizes for me were a success, enough on the plate to take your time to eat without feeling stuffed at the end. Great coffee and food, beautiful little spot too.
In search of a brunch in a picturesque location with healthier options, we stumbled upon Botanica Garden Cafe, which is just across the road from Waverton Station! I selected the Little Soldiers, which was four buttered ‘soldiers’ or sticks of bread served with a soft-boiled egg. The presentation was so whimsical – the egg came out in a tank shaped holder, and the bread sticks were artfully criss-crossed on top of each other.
If you like cafes with personality, then look no further than Botanica. It's quaint and quiet, with a wonderful decor. At the back of the cafe is a lovely little garden area, complete with a koi pond and a small playground for children, if you come with kids and need to entertain them.
The menu offers a great range of food and drink options, and their chips are to die for! They have a seasonal menu as well, and I would definitely recommend their Pork and 63 degree egg with noodle! Their burgers are also super delicious and filling. Definitely worth a trip, the quality of the food and service is great :)
I go here with my partner all the time for brunch, because it has a good vibe, decent food and is accessible. The outdoor seating is great on a sunny day. Staff are friendly. Definitely recommend.
The Toasty was a free range egg, beautifully smoked bacon and a delicious house made chutney all sandwiched between 2 large slices of Brasserie Bread toasted sourdough and it was so good. (Those lycra chicks don't know what they were missing!). Our coffee was perfectly made, probably because BGC use Pablo and Rustys coffee beans - my absolute favourite!
Baked spanish omelette - with plenty of potato, mushrooms and delicious chorizo. I did think the eggs were overdone though - would have loved it to be a little gooey inside.
Reliable experience. As I work in the immediate area, I often have a breakfast or a lunch at Botanica. I never thought to check Urban Spoon until today, and see that most people enjoy the place. My experiences here have all been excellent - our office staff are not usually so easy to please but they go there too when the time permits. menu items are varied, tasty, and I've tried most. Service has always been delightful from young staff who want to be useful, even if they are often working a busy floor... and Botanica is anything but a simple work environment - the furniture is eclectic, and the tables are on multiple levels and in multiple styles ... its kind of 'Cirque Du Soleil' as a work environment ! My main reason for going back, apart from the quality of their meals, is the atmosphere. its restful and pleasant. I recommend this little place to all.
Everything I wish for in a cafe and food! I had a yummy crunchy Vietnamese salad with chicken and my partner had the eggs w veggie. So yummy. Coffee was
perfect and the fresh juices wowie maui

I love love love! I can be quite the harsh critic when it comes to cafes. Found this funky cafe through recommendation and it ticks all the boxes. Was looked after by chirpy waiters who were helpful with our tables every request. Food & coffee made to perfection - every mouthful was bursting with flavour (found out it was Chef & Barista owners- I could tell they put the extra love into their work). Quirky decor and lush garden & waterfall caught my eye at every turn. So glad to find a cafe who CARES!

Quite the hidden treasure - Beautiful gardens, amazing fish pond and great comfy furniture. The cafe has an real homey atmosphere and feel, as though you're in your own living room! The coffee is divine, the food exceptional and the customer service is spot on. Great place for a quiet cofdee break, catch up with friends or family gathering (kids area with a cubby house!!). Be sure to book on weekends as they get packed!!

After today's wonderful experience, I cannot praise the team at Botanica Garden Cafe enough! how did I not visit earlier? this cafe is set quite literally across from Waverton Train Station making it perfect for those in the North of the City. My friend and I are frequent cafe goers and stumbled across this gem by accident, which just goes to show that good things pop up when you least expect it. The first thing you notice about this family run cafe is the funky decor and open floorplan, making it enjoyable for young and old alike. There is a magical fishpond for the curious kids and a beautiful street art inspired wall painting for those with an appreciation for that kind of thing. The coffee is devine, made with love by the lovely owner herself. I had a skim cap and my friend tried the hot chocolate. Both delicious as each other. For food we picked the big meat eater breakfast and a special which was a chicken crepe with sweet potato crisps. Yum! the big breakfast was one of the best we've tried- standouts were the homemade baked beans and the chorizo, aromatic and tasty with every bite. Crepe also scored 10/10 in our books. Even on a weekday, the atmosphere is relaxed and playful with young mothers and the locals stopping by for a meal or drink. It is the perfect weekend brunch destination, I am definitely coming back soon and I'll be bringing my dog too- she's welcome as this is a dog friendly cafe as much as it is people friendly. Try this one before everyone else does. This cafe is just waiting to be discovered. well done team botanica, keep up the good work. See you (again) this weekend!
Yum!. Dropped into this beautiful cafe the other day, wow, it was such a beautiful place, with a fish pond, and really comfy seats, the coffee was fantastic, and the food was great, best Eggs Benedict, and the banana pancake..yum! We will defiantly be going back.
Botanica Garden Cafe is by far the best cafe in the Sydney area, the great customer service and friendly staff were fantastic. The food was cooked to perfection and the atmosphere and environment is really amazing and great for a coffee or a lunch. I give Botanica a 10/10. :)

Delightful to have found this hidden gem for our weekend brunch. The greenery garden setting along with some quirky charming vintage decor made you feel like you’re out of the city and it’s a great place to unwind.
The Viet fusion food was scrumptious and the portion was generous. The fried spring roll was divine! 🤤

FOOD~ Portions are huge and everything I had so far was amazing. Highly recommend the banana bread with cinnamon butter, yummy and massive (cannot even finish it, photo is just half of it) and the bacon, egg, cheese and tomato relish sandwich. Great coffee too!
Price-quality relation is just perfect, not overpriced.
ATMOSPHERE~
Really nice, I personally love the fact that all furniture is different and the deco too, it just gives a different touch from all other "too structured" cafes, you feel relaxed. The fountain, the plants, and it's pet friendly too ♡
STAFF ~
Friendly and attentive staff, all the ladies I have interacted with when visiting were lovely. Waiting time is ok, considering they are quite busy on weekends, my order came pretty quickly :)
Plus, the takeaway cups are biodegradable (and really cute, ha)

Also, compared with other cafes nearby, by far this is the BEST one. Other options, namely, third rail has terrible service and at grumpy baker everything just tastes like bread, regardless if it's blueberry scroll, cinnamon roll, etc..

They offer traditional Aussie cafe menu and good Vietnamese food. It’s in front of the station, but quite and relaxing especially in a backyard garden area.
Just a delightful Cafe that could do with your support. Great infusion of Vietnamese favourites. A bonus is the all day breakfast menu. Highly recommended
Great setting with lovely service. We just had a pot of tea and cake. Loose leaf which is appreciated. The treats were of a good size. Good enough to share if need be. We drive 40 mins just to come here. Worth it.
