This place is fantastic! After traveling Vietnam, it has taken us 6 months to finally find a place that makes bánh xèo and these guys specialise in it! The food is amazing and the service is fantastic! A must try if you love Vietnamese cuisine!
Yellow Pancake is fantastic. Friendly service, relaxed casual atmosphere and the yellow pancake is the best thing on the menu. Can't recommend it enough!

this was my first visit here and the pancake i bought for takeaway was the best meal I have ever had. Please everyone in Perth you need to come here and eat the food it is equivalent to the taste you would expect from a 6star restaurant. The service was perfect with a smile.

Had lunch today and ordered rice paper rolls, pancakes, pho.. Absolutely delicious!! Hayley the owner was friendly and helpful, the servings were humongous and the ingredients were all fresh. Great value for money! Also had a coffee which was on point. No need to go to Northbridge for Vietnamese or Leederville for coffee. Wembley has a new hotspot!

We went tonight for the first time. Absolutely loved it. We began with 2 starters. First was Steamed wonton special and the second was there Yellow Pancake Signature Rice paper Roll. Both were nice except the Rice paper rolls were the standout dish as they had yellow pancake inside of them ...yummy.
For mains my partner had the Yellow Pancake, which she thoroughly enjoyed and i helped to devour. I had the Broken Rice or as some call it Pork chop Rice. I found it nice and flavoursome. We washed it all down with 2 long macs. The barista made it just how we like it, strong, creamy and not bitter.

Thank-you so much for catering to my vegetarian ways. The rice paper rolls were delicious as was the MASSIVE yellow pancake. My husband had a hearty soup, chicken yellow pancake and spring rolls, all which were great serving sizes and well presented. Everything tasted fresh, the waitstaff know the food menu well and all of the ingredients (as I ask a lot of questions hehe). The best part was that there was no MSG!!! No excess thirst or rash after eating here because of that =) =) =)

Great little addition to the neighbourhood, his small cafe offers a simple but tasty Vietnamese menu which they're happy to alter to suit vegetarians. Their pancakes are a must try, a huge serving of light crispy crepe filled with fresh ingredients and their pho is just the right flavour without being too heavy. They also have cold pressed juices and an array of yummy desserts!
Yummy fresh food, friendly service and great coffee. Definitely coming back and recommend everyone to try it!

I had the rice porridge and the classic yellow pancake today!!! Yes, it is meal for 2 but I was drooling when I looked at the menu... I was greedy because I have never tried vietnamese yellow pancake and I haven't had nice rice porridge for awhile in Perth. For Asian (I'm not trying to be racist), if you haven't had nice rice porridge for awhile or if you are sick and just want to eat that nice homemade porridge, drop by. For everyone else, you can just try it for the sake of trying (I promise that there isn't any thousand years egg). Enjoy!

Yellow pancake is the whole package, It's a great quick yet healthy dinner alternative and the food is delicious, you can't beat a good pho!! Everything is made with fresh ingredients. I wanted to give it 3.5 stars. Had the pork chop rice and yellow pancake. It was nice but felt a bit on the pricey side.
On a side note, the place would look better if they removed all the yellowing/ struggling plants.
One of our all time favourite restaurant. Home cooked comfort food at its best. We live 30 mins away, but the journey is worth it every time. Highly recommended!

Having been to Vietnam, we've struggled to find a place in Perth that satisfied our craving for the cuisine until we tried Yellow Pancake. My family and I have been coming to YP since it first opened, and it continues to get better and better. YP is a weekly visit for us.
The food is fantastic- always fresh and delicious, we've probably tried just about everything on the menu and nothing has ever disappointed us. The staff (big love to Hayley, Vinnie and Adrian) are all so friendly and kind and accommodating.
I live for the Vietnamese iced coffees (warm is also a great option on a cold day), the Bahn Mi spectacular and the Pho is divine. Give YP a try and you won't be disappointed!

I much preferred it when Zomato allowed reviewers to give half stars. For me, this was a solid 4.5. Our family dinner kicked off with steamed pork wontons with onion, spring onion, chilli, coriander, peanut and a spicy sauce (the special). It was a great, punchy start. I followed that with my favourite pork chop in town - the Com Suon (Pork Chop Rice). It's a tender chop that's been expertly marinated in lemongrass and fried, served with rice (topped with a fried egg with a runny yolk), fresh sliced cucumber, tomato, pickled carrots and a vinegary sauce. Simple and beautiful. The Ga Xao Xa Ot was free range chicken that had been fried with chilli, lemongrass, garlic, onion and capsicum. A great dish, with plenty of bite, but with the sort of flavour I expect from Thai food. Then, there was my favourite lunchtime dish - the Banh Mi. The flavours on my grilled pork roll were wonderful and the bread was superbly fresh and crunchy on the outside. For $8.90 it's highly recommended. Finally, my partner had the Goi Ga (chicken salad) which had shredded chicken bread, cabbage, pickled carrot, onion and herbs. The crushed peanuts and the garlic dressing brought it all together into a beautifully refreshing dish. If all this wasn't enough, there's also one of the friendliest and most accommodating front-of-house staff members you could hope to meet in Vinnie. Go and meet him.... TODAY.

Found this place as it was on the way to somewhere we were headed, what a find! Loved it, had bang mi and Vietnamese coffee and one of their speciality cakes,really hit the spot!

AMAZING!! Authentic, clean and exploding with flavour. Ban Xeo, Bahn Mi and Pho Ga are amazing, as is the iced Vietnamese coffee. Wonderful service too.
My boyfriend wanted to find yellow pancake in Perth after eating it on a recent trip to Vietnam. A search on Google led us to this fantastic restaurant.
The yellow pancake was light, crispy and delicious! Love the grilled pork inside the pancake. The Pho was yummy too. Can't wait to go back and try some more dishes.

Discovered Yellow Pancake recently and popped in for a light lunch. Funky set up, excellent service and amazing food. We had the Vietnamese baguette, oh boy, mouthwatering. The best baguette I have ever had. Will be back to try more of the menu.
Popped here for dinner after hearing people in my Pilates class rave about it. They weren't wrong. We tried the yellow pancake and beef pho. Both were fresh and delicious. The pancake was particularly fun - breaking it up, wrapping it in a lettuce leaf with some fresh herbs and dipping it in the sauce. Will come back to try some of the other dishes.
We went there for lunch today but weren't really hungry so we just had some spring rolls and rice paper rolls. Truly amazing food!! Good prices and friendly service! I really wonder why this place only has a 3.2 while all reviews are 4.5 or 5?!
The yellow pancakes that the restaurant are named after are outstandingly tasty, fresh, yet light. Lovely staff. Highly recommended. Nice and cool air con on a hot day.
Have tried it all and there's nothing I don't love! Yellow pancake and beef casserole are the favorites! They have a seat outside and are accommodating if you bring you're dog!
You can't go wrong if you order what the restaurant is named after. The Banh Xeo was crispy, and had a delicious filling with pork, prawn and bean sprouts. The only complaint I had was that one serving wasn't enough! They have other Vietnamese dishes including Pho on the menu so I'll have to go back to try. It can get busy for dinner so you might want to book first.
Great little Vietnamese place. First time we had it I called and asked for something light for the wife (she recommended the Bún Thịt Nướng) and something heartier for me (beef casserole with rice). Both were outstanding - flavoursome and just the right amount of spice. Also had the the Yellow Pancake since then ... also very good. Service is efficient and friendly. Value for money is spot on. Highly recommend.
This place is great and has great atmosphere. Very friendly staff and relaxed ambience. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area looking for a unique Vietnamese experience.
This is a fantastic place - a wonderful authentic neighbourhood 'local' that serves such beautiful vietnamese food - it is not expensive and it is not flash, but it is really, really, yummy! My family walked up for lunch on the weekend and had such tasty banh mi and the eponymous yellow pancake. Fresh flavours, herbs, chilli and meat. I can't wait to go back to try the other dishes. It is a small select menu, but I think that means that what they do, they do really well. Thank you for taking a punt and opening in Wembley!
Really like the menu here. Tried pho, yellow pancake n pork chop rice. Wish the pork chop rice had the floss n the terrine thing. Service was great. Wish serving sizes were a bit bigger. Dessert menu looked good. They sell honeycake!
Been back more recently and found that because there is no msg that it doesn't make me feel dehydrated after eating. They also use fresh rice noodles in pho. Massive +++
This place is great! Went here today, friendly staff and nice fitout. I had the banh xeo which was nice and crispy and served with fresh lettuce, mint and dipping sauce. Lots of prawns and pork inside, cooked perfectly! Vietnamese coffee was delicious. I also got a takeaway banh mi with grilled pork which had lots of filling and good value. Definitely looking forward to going back and trying the rest of the menu!
I am a huge pho fan but I went here last night and decided to try something new. I had the classic (pork & prawn) yellow pancake. It was light and crispy and so full of flavour! Oh and the fried spring rolls are fabulous!
