Great burgers. Old style gourmet. Would recommend. Freshest and quality ingredients Flipside classic burgers include beef, chicken breast and special chickpea and sweet potato veggie patties.
Chips are good as well. Can eat at the Stanley next door.
Busy little burger joint, food takes awhile to prepare but tastes better than it looks. Probably one of the better eateries along Cambridge.

We stopped in at the Wembley store on Cambridge Street for a late lunch. Although it appeared to be a full house, by the time we placed our order at the counter, a table outside became available. Even better it was in the full sun, a nice spot for us to soak in some of the winter sun.
I went with the classic burger on a gluten free bun (first burger in the photo) which comes with a beef meat patty, lettuce, red onion, tomato relish and mayo. The bun was lightly toasted and the char grill flavour of the West Australian beef, followed by the fresh crisp salad were stand outs to the meal. The simplest burger on the menu at Flipside, it was fantastic.
The other half went with the Blue train, distinctly different from the other burgers by the inclusion of a layer of pungent blue cheese. You either love or feel great disdain towards this unique tasting cheese. Having said that, I would encourage anyone to try, it does compliment the beef and isn’t quite as dominant. The Blue Train is a memorable burger.
The burgers here are decent value, and taste great. There's a decent variety, with the option to add more toppings. I'd imagine when it's busy there's a bit of a wait, but it seems usually it takes about 15 minutes to prepare a burger. The chips are on the crispier side, which I like, but there's still enough potatoey ones to satisfy everyone. They do get quite salty towards the bottom of the bowl, but luckily there's freely available tomato sauce.
I'm so obsessed with Flipside it's not funny. These are the kind of home made style burgers you could totally make yourself but taste 10 times better cos someone else made them! What I like about the Wembley store is you can order your burger and have it delivered next door to a bar area - um, amazing! The chicken burger is scrumptious and juicy. Nice chips too!
The burgers and fries are delicious and large serving. However, sometimes I find the buns to be too big for the meat patty and other fillings.
Always been a fan of the flip. Ever since the burger craze started a number of years back the flip remained the first and the best. Blue cheese burger with extra salad. Cannot go wrong.

Possibly my favourite burger place! All burgers are really good (and large), They also have mini burgers that are the perfect size for kids or those looking for a lite(ish) lunch. If you have room get the chips too fresh, and chunky what more could you want

Burgers and Pint. Flipside Wembley have got a great deal going with the stanley pub next door who allow people to bring the burgers into the pub and eat them with their drinks. Service is always friendly and quick and produce is excellent and serves are of a nice size.
Burgers to go for are the Chicken and Avocado Taxi Cab which has a lovely relish and the QVB which is a beautiful beef burger with the works.
Highly Recommended especially with a pint of Weihenstephaner from next door!
Excellent burger and chips and the aoili is to die for, the combination of these factors leaves me a total glutton when it comes to Flipside. And what's best is that they just 'get it'. All I have to do is mention my Coeliacs and my bun is grilled with the meat rather than go through the toaster and then put together out the back.
While the decor is pleasantly minimalistic chic it is no consolation during a 35 minute wait for a burger. Employing children as cooks, Flipside is keeping the streets free of juvenile misdemeanour. The grilling area is cramped like a Nigerian backstrokers speedo with at least 7 people working tirelessly to capture flavour on a tiny bun. When the burgers finally did come they were a worth while treat. Up there with the big burger joints with small time hospitality. A must when you have time and a hankering for a good burger. The staff members shirts may be short but the wait to eat was not. 7/ 11.9

Likes it. Heard heaps about how good the burgers are only live up the road but never tried it til tonight. Good job. It's hard to make a burger different from all the other burgers out there but you seemed to have hit the mark. Well done. Keep up the fight for a good burger joint.
Had my first burger from flipside and first thing I noticed was that it's very awkward to eat. The meat pattie slips and slides every where and when you try gripping it hard all the other contents slops out. I stank of burger all day after as the sauce slopped on my clothes. Otherwise the overall taste is good and I would get another one even though it's annoying to eat.
Disappointed with my pear and parmesan chicken burger last night. I know chicken prices are going up, but surely there could be more chicken in a chicken burger? $12.50 is a bit much for a rocket burger IMO.
Pretty damn good. I seem to be on a bit of a burger bender lately...and these were definitely up there with the best... much prefer them to Grill'd burgers..and the chippies war not bad either.

Easily the best burgers in Perth. Not overrated or hyped.
Even better than Retro Betty's used to be when they where just across the road.
Great little place and although small has great friendly atmosphere.
Their chips are simply the best in Perth with that amazing Aioli dip.
Can't wait to eat there again soon.
Always good burgers, we usually phone from work with a big lunch order (10-15 burgers) staff always oblige. I get a pear and Parmesan with bacon.

Flipside Wembley. Yummy, generous sized burgers. Friendly staff. I had the Avocado and Bacon burger, yum yum. My only criticism is that the buns are not warmed up enough and the aioli dipping sauce has too much pepper and not enough garlic. Regular chips are too big even for two people, get the small.
Good chips. Quite good. Nothing to fault with the burgers, but the chips were the highlight. One serve of chips was good and enough to share between two people.
Best veg. If you want a veg option this place comes in a close second after Source's veggie burger. Love the Kenny Burger
Yes, burgers have beetroot.. So glad that Flipside have beetroot in their vegie burgers! Had the Garden Party, and it was very tasty. A large toasted bun was filled with a chickpea patty, which was just spicy enough to give a little zing without detracting from the flavour. The bun was slightly bigger than the filling, which is important so that the filling doesn't drop out the other side of your burger when you bite one side. Next time, am going to try the Kenny burger, because it was a coin-toss. The chips were a bit disappointing - just a little underdone. The aioli was not great - more like sour cream with a bit of garlic stirred through it; we dunked twice before ditching it.
Had the taxiCAB, simply amazing. nice size and really good flavour. bonus that you can order and chill in the pub next door, great spot to chill with mates!

This place rocks. Noone can beat their rolls or their chips. They use free range (don't know about the bacon) so I'm pleased and that ain't easy!
Definitely go for the huge portions. This place is great - massive burgers at a fantastic price - I was struggling to finish my QVB (aka the lot) burger which was less than $14. The chips are also a decent portion which you can easily share amongst a few people, which tends to be a downfall for other burger joints.
The burger bar is in an unassuming street corner on Cambridge st away from the usual cafe scene associated with the Perth burger bars. Today this was a good start as we could locate a table with ease and the produce was out in quick time. We ordered the taxi cab and the pear and Parmesan with a side of chips. The P&P was fresh and loaded with a tomato relish, unfortunately the relish didn't balance well with the pear and slightly overpowered it. The taxi cab in contrast was well balanced with all the ingredients working in harmony together. The chips were the usual fare with a very generous splash of sea salt. The accompanying aioli was thick and creamy, with powerful overtones of garlic. In summary a decent meal and worth a return visit. Food 7/10 service 6.5/10 decor 5.5/10
Good burgers but it's a shame that mushrooms are non existent on the menu.
What a burger should be. Great burgers, great chips, ingredients always fresh. There seems to be a burger choice for everyone. Usually very busy, so ring and order in advance to shorten your wait

Yum!. Bestest burgers in Perth. I think it's the buns they use.. plus being able to take ur burger into the bar next door, which has some great wines. Perfect for a midweek catchup with a friend :-)

My favourite type of ‘Dude Food’ (a Melbourne term which describes food that can be eaten without cutlery) are burgers. I seem to seek them out when I’m feeling particularly gluttonous – last Sunday was one of those days. A and I had just finished cleaning the house when I popped the question to her, “Wanna go for a burger” We headed to Flipside in Wembley. We’d been there a while ago and I remembered the burgers to be really good. When we arrived, the sun was out and the interior of Flipside was bright and warm. Flipside was quiet and we decided to sit at the newly available outside table. The Wembley version of Flipside (as there is also the original North Freo outlet) has been open since 2008, a little before the Jus Burgers and Grill’d chains opened around Perth.
