Final Verdict: an excellent pub hotel with an amazing vibe inside. Friendly staff and delicious food. I'll definitely be back again to try something else off the menu :)

Despite the service being a little slow, we all enjoyed our food (when it arrived). I ate fish and chips and they were cooked very well. The place as a whole had a nice vibe, however, the place was very cold, and this could stop us from going there again.
In the mood for a Saturday pub lunch was a little dissapointed that the items I choose werent available on the day so had to settle for more starters. Nothing special about the bread , sausage rolls ok served with good sauce and the chicken wings for me was so-so. On the other hand the rump steak was perfectly cooked with a yummy berinaise sauce.
This was hands down one of the best meals I have ever had in a Pub and still think about it! The entire atmosphere was great - great Craft Beer selection - exactly what I was hoping for. I didn't expect the food to be as good as it was! Would absolutely come here again
Went to Wembley tonight for football windup. Top notch gourmet pizzas. I was very impressed with the standard and variety. Afraid I got so busy talking I forgot to take a photo of the Bison head on the wall. Never seen one of those before.!
Called in for a beer and burger before the footy... Had the pioneer burger, it's massive and a great burger...good venue
Don't be put off by the staff, I just paid $12 for a delicious steak, prawn and chips meal. Honestly the best $12 I've ever spent in my life. Juicy tender steak, delicious garlic sauce and a wonderful mustard dressing on the salad. I highly recommend their lunch specials.

Love the food love the options, classics with a twist, jaffles are amazing! Sometimes too busy and not cleaned often enough for a relaxing night but definitely a party night starter
Went yesterday for a catchup with old friends. A friend and i shared the greek platter which i chose because it was relatively low in fat. The waiter took our order then came back and said they didn't have any octopus and that we could have fried squid instead. I said could the chef give us a healthy option and he came back and said the healthy options were chorizo (?!) or we could have 3 oysters. I was pleased and asked for the oysters, but yuck! They were so old and dry and tasted wrong. We left the third one on the plate. I cannot understand why any chef could put out such obviously bad food, because that is always what you remember about a place! The rest of the plate was ok. Also, pretty expensive beer...$5.30 for a middy of Pure Blonde.
Ups and downs. The Wembley is a great pub, with comfy chairs and a great beer garden area. The Chilli Mussels on a Thursday are great, as are the T-Bone meal specials, they do a great steak at the Wembley. Service can be slow, due to the pub being extremely busy at times. A little pricey, but worth it. We had our wedding reception here also, informal with sandwich/antipasto platters, everyone was impressed with the standard of the food and the catering was very reasonably priced. Now that I've moved out of the suburb, I really miss having the Wembley as my local!
Oldie but a goodie. Having been to the Wembley on and off for 14 odd years I classify it as a no frills type of place to drink and eat. They offer decent food specials during the week and generally friendly service. The beer garden offers a nice setting on a summers day with a cold drink on hand.

Yummy $12 surf and turf. On Wednesday night, it was A's night to cook, so she decided that we'd be venturing out for dinner. Her choice in venue was The Wembley Hotel. We've been here before and have always had a lovely dinner so decided to try their $12.00 300gm T-bone steak and prawn meal with salad or chips.
The venue is spacious and we decided to sit near the restaurant part of the Hotel near the kitchen. It was easy to find a table and decided to sit on the couches, as this seems like our usual spot when we go to The Wembley. It's counter service to order food but even so, it's fast and easy. The menu is basic pub-grub but has really reasonable prices in comparison to other pubs. After ordering at the till, A went to the bar to grab some drinks. Both of us ended up going to the bar that night to get a glass of red wine. The bar staff were extremely accommodating to my requests in regards to knowing when the bottle was opened (as I hate oxidised wine) and also providing me with a sample of the wine.
The food was well anticipated as there were a lot of people having the T-bone steak special. Once I got the meal, I was very pleased. The T-bone steak was cooked exactly like I like it - medium. I was worried that the chef might overcook or undercook it due to the high volume of T-bone requests, however it was slightly pink and perfectly cooked. Another plus was the fact that the steak was char-grilled and the taste came through very nicely. It wasn't too overpowering but made the T-bone steak less boring. It was also a good portion size as well. There were three prawns on top and these weren't overcooked which was a nice surprise. The garlic sauce was really creamy and had a great flavour to it. I ordered my steak with chips and the whole plate went down really well. Loved the whole night and couldn't ask for more on a cheap, weekday pub feed. We both can't wait to go back, especially for the Thursday night chilli mussel special ($12.00 for a bowl of chilli mussels with bread).
All in all - definitely worth a visit for a great, cheap T-bone steak at a relaxed pub in Perth!
Had breakfast, Good value for money, simple fare, nice spot in courtyard on a Sunday morning with the paper supplied.
I have mixed reactions to The Wembley. 12 months ago it was the shiznit. The pizza was probably the best in the area, and had half price cocktails on Wednesday made it favorite after session at the beach. Fast forward 12 months and they are using frozen pizza bases? I don't know maybe they changed chef? But it is not what is was. I atended a Xmas function in 2009 and the food was excellent.... Take your chances. Overall still above average pub grub with a nice beer garden.
Above average pub grub. Very informal settings good for larger parties. Linguini Nero with seafood very good, large burgers and pizzas looked above average. Large range of beers on tap. Gets noisy on weekends.
If I was to sum up The Wembley in one word it would be; Inconsistent. Over the twelve or so times I have been there this year; some have been great, the majority have been above average and then there was this time, which frankly, was just disappointing. I will definitely try to get back there within the next few months and give it another review.
