Just the best. Great food, fabulous coffee and an excellent choice of delicious take away food. Whether you go for morning tea, breakfadt or lunch you won’t be disappointed.
With seating restrictions in place to meet legal and safety requirements reservations are recommended. Go, eat and enjoy.
Cute local cafe, delicious hand made, home cooked English food. What more could you want! Steak & kidney pie with chips (or mash) came with a healthy portion of vegetables and gravy. Decently priced, this cafe has most certainly made a name for itself!
Blue mist in my eyes gets a solid 5 for there fresh scones alone - they come with butter, cream , jam and a strawberry! They are the best scones ever!!!!!
They also have a long menu of other items I have tried the fritters they were delishhhh but I now go and make as much room as possible for the scones
The ambience is also a solid 5 - Downstairs is a cottage style cafe vibe and then upstairs; books cover the walls top to bottom ... the cool part is you can buy second hand books as well as read out on the balcony!
I love this place , the vibe and the service ...and SCONES
Gorgeous establishment - upstairs area delightful. Very good value for money, huge breakfast. I had the light breakfast with smoked salmon - best corn cakes I’ve ever had! Could have come with creme fraiche and dill if I was to be critical. Highly recommend.
Stopped over at this lovely cafe for morning tea on our way to Blue Mountains. Our friend in Sydney highly recommended to us their scones with jam, butter and double cream.
It was indeed a good recommendation. The scones were very homemade feel, fresh and fluffy. The scones tasted even better with jam, butter and cream, real awesome!
The coffee was pretty good too. I love the environment, it was serene, cosy and relaxing. The upstairs indoor dining hall was like a home library, with plenty of books on the shelves and some sofas for diners' pleasure reading.
Food & Beverage : 8/10 (for scones and coffee only, as we didn't try other foods)
Service : 7/10
Price : 6/10
Ambience : 9/10
Easter Sunday breakfast. They were very busy, we were lucky to get a table. I notice they are pet friendly, giving a bowl of water to the dogs that were there. Michael had bacon and eggs with a breakfast smoothie which he enjoyed very much. I had the light breakfast which was poached eggs, salmon, avocado and corn fritters. It was delicious. The cappuccino was creamy and frothy very nice brew. The staff were friendly. Thanks guys for a enjoyable breakfast
Blue Mist is a wonderful location.
Nice background music.
Not noisy - so conversation easy.
Great food.
Comfortable seating in a booth with cushions.
Helpful friendly staff.
All round - top marks!
Great job!
Lovely ambience, tasty food that was delivered very quickly! We went for breakfast but Would definitely go back for lunch- lovely little spot!
We came here as we drove past to get some breakfast on our way to Wentworth falls. Not many cafes around however this cafe provides a very decent big breakfast. The food was tasty and the customer service was friendly. Very relaxing and a great place to chill on the weekend. Will drop by again, if we're in the area.
A decent little Cafe with plenty of variety, nice staff and plenty of lovely locals about. The food is not the best I've had for the price but it doesn't disappoint either. I had the Mediterranean Pizza, it had a tad too much prosciutto which made it a bit salty but it was still nice!
Lovely little cafe just off the highway in Wentworth Falls. Had a great breakfast. Definitely recommend the bacon and eggs. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would come back.
Stopped in here yesterday for brunch on my way to do tourist stuff (I'm from Sydney) to be honest I wasn't really expecting much as it seemed kind of rural, but to my surprise it was rather nice, the decor is really cute and quaint as its a bookstore as well (I would recommend eating upstairs because it has a really nice vibe with couches and a fireplace etc..) on to the food, I got the Mediterranean pizza and for $18 I was expecting more, the pizza was great taste wise but it was really small, I think $15 would have been a fair price. Onto the scones, they're another story $7 for the plate picture, very fairly priced and some of the best scones I've ever had. If I'm ever in the area again I will be returning!
Awesome atmosphere with a difference. On finishing our breakfast went upstairs to check out the books and DVDs. Have to go back to have a meal upstairs. Very well thought out business idea. Make sure you book ahead to get a seat. Food 3.5/5 but loved the atmosphere most.
Cosy nook for food with a book. Found out about this place via urbanspoon. My husband, friend and I decided to drop in and give it a go as reviews were rave even if the total amount of reviewers was small. My friend had the Bbq Portugese chicken burger which she found well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The only negative was the slightly under toasted bun. My husband tried the corned beef hash which he adored. It was an extremely well thought out dish; there was a good balance of flavours (sweet pumpkin +salty beef)and a good play with textures (crunch from the rosti-like 'hash'). I had a scone. It was fluffy as a cloud, warm and buttery (I am not easily pleased when it comes to scones but this one scored top marks). The 3 of us were so impressed we decided to finish our lunch with a dessert, selecting the warm spiced orange marmalade cake with ice cream. This was needless to say a delectable dish with a perfect amount of citrus and spice which was further enhanced by the contrast of warm cake and cold creamy ice cream. We left very happy customers who are keen to ensure credit is given where it it due. We will be back.
We stayed in Wentworth Falls for 3 nights and had breakfast at Blue Mist every morning. Meals are big and not to expensive and fresh juices are lovely. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMERS!!! :)
Delicious Food, Great Ambience!. We visited on a cold Winter's day and it was 7C. We got seating upstairs in an area near the windows overlooking Wentworth Falls main road. The area is flanked with bookshelves with books you can buy. There is a separate area with a lounge and a fireplace also surrounded by bookshelves. We all had the Fish Pot Pie for lunch from the specials menu and it was delicious. A beautiful combination of snapper, salmon and prawns in a creamy white sauce with some potato and leek and covered with a lid of pastry. There was an accompanying artichoke hearts, asparagus and snow peas salad and some nice fries. Afterwards we enjoyed the fire and had a coffee in the lounge space. Highly recommended!@
I love this place. Really good food. And even better if you come in a small group so you can steal from each other's plates. Yummy.
Pleasant, friendly staff. Delicious coffee. We had the light breakfast and corned beef hash. Food was hot and delicious. Atmosphere was relaxed. Definitely go back again.
Incredible scone. Pretty good coffee as well.
Cute cosy cafe with homely meals. This is a great little find if you happen to be around blackheath, and is an equally good stop before heading over to wentworth falls. The cafe has cute small booths, with a country kitchen charm to it. Meals were all decently priced, the big breakfast was your usual bacon and eggs with toast, tomatoes and mushrooms but a great way to start the day. We also tried the ricotta hotcakes which were good, and a different take on the usual pancakes.
Nice find. Dropped by on our way to the Wentworth Falls themselves - found while looking for a place for lunch. Friendly, helpful and fun proprietors, nice vibe to the place, good food, especially for the prices, and an all round pleasant experience. Will probably drop by again next time we're in the area.
It was nice. Good food. Reasonable prices. Good service and great company!
Great little spot. This place was recommended and I will do the same. Great little cafe/2nd hand book shop where you can sit outside, inside in the main area or upstairs with a choice of benches on the big windows or on a sofa in front of the log fire. Breakfast was fuel for the days' activities in the Blue Mountains and it was both generous in size, tasty (especially the bacon) and very reasonably priced. All our choices were $10 or less. Toby Estate Coffee was good too.Great place to drop into. I am reliably informed that the scones are an afternoon tea essential. Sadly we were too late back down the hill to make it so a return visit is in order. Easy parking across the road too. All around - Nice.
