Review Truck Stop Deluxe - Werribee

Amy Elizabeth
Great for one of those, let’s not cook dinner nights. Friendly staff, quick and efficient service. Good burgers. Not really sure what we felt like for dinner, we went exploring the strip of restaurants in Werribee and happened upon this burger restaurant. Greeted with very friendly welcoming staff, we decided to eat in. Ordering was super easy, with a QR code and online ordering. The drink came out very quickly, and the food not long after that. I had the Fine and Dandy on a GF bun. The bun was a bit dry but gf is usually not amazing. The rest was yum. My partner had Bacon Bacon which he liked. Double nest, double cheese, double bacon. Also a side of waffle fries, just for fun.

Pretty cool truck themed burger joint with different road signs displayed throughout the place. Menu is pretty extensive with over 10 burger options, a section dedicated to chickens, some sides and desserts. Ordered the following: - Saint Side Burger which had two thick beef patties, some fresh vegetables, cheese, and mick sauce which was some kind of mayo. Burger was huge but the patties were on the dry side; tasted alright but got flavour fatigue half way through - Popcorn chicken was decent with a nice crunchy coating - Onion rings were also nice and crunchy but a little too salty - Nutella waffles contained chocolate ice cream, whipped cream and strawberry slices sandwich between two waffles. Waffles barely have any crispiness on the outer layer, and the whipped cream just goes everywhere when trying to cut into bite size. Taste wise it was sweet and delicious after all the heavy salty food. Overall friendly staff and the serving size was huge even for the sides, but food was average at best.

Pretty good place to have a proper American Smashed Cheeseburger. Patty was crispy from the rendered fat. Sauce was quite a standard fair. Good buns and crisp veggies. Will probably be back for lunch if we pass by this area again.

I loved the staffs and the services. The burgers were good but meat patty was too think and was not juicy enough for me. Overall I enjoyed the whole experiences. Thanks! :)

Best burgers in the west! Along with a top venue, the burgers are wuaility. I really enjoyed the fried chicken in the burger and the onion rings went down a treat.

Service friendly and fast. The new ordering system via QR code on your smart phone makes the process so much faster and easier to order drinks when needed. Food was great and tasty. Restaurant clean and comfortable. One of the better burger places in Werribee.

Pretty good. The chips here are definitely more fairly priced than some of the eateries in the area. Not sure if my hotsauce was forgotten or if it just isn't hot? Either way the Cheeseburger fries are decent. Mince could use a little more seasoning, but the amazing cheese sauce more than makes up for it.

Amazing place with super cool truck stop themed interiors. Totally give you the feel of being a truckee. The food, drinks and even dessert are so good. We tried: -cocktails - they were goooood - onion rings - they were crispy yet juicy - fried chicken - again crispy and super juicy - Kanye west-side burger : burger was just perfect. Perfectly layered, fresh in taste and scrumptious. - apple pie : was really really nice Overall had an amazing time. Check out more on Instagram @we.eat.travel.love

Truck Stop Deluxe is one of the only burger places in the western suburbs and the interior design definitely matches the name of the restaurant with the front of the trucks serving as tables as well.<br/><br/>We ordered one of the beef burgers, chicken burger, popcorn chicken, regular and sweet potato fries and the chocolate and Nutella shake. The sauce in the burgers was delicious and it came as a dipping sauce for the popcorn chicken. The fries were crispy and the milkshakes were big (tip: share) but the Nutella milkshake tasted a bit weird ?<br/><br/>However I'd still definitely come here again!

Feels like having burger today so here we are for burgers! Service is extremely good, staffs very attentive! We are so sad that there is only one choice for chicken burger, we ordered that, the Jnr Mick and also the kids meal. To us, the burgers taste so-so, fries are ok... sweet potato fries is kinda soggy but onion rings are ok.

My partner ordered a nutella milkshake to start off, the nutella to milk ratio was off & the milkshake was more milk and not enough nutella unfortunately.<br/>For burgers my partner ordered the ‘Bacon Bacon’ and I ordered the ‘Fine and dandy’ I was shocked that there was only one burger on the menu that already included bacon. You can still add it but for a tiny fee. My partner enjoyed his burger & only comment was “way too many pickles”. My burger was very average. Not enough sauce and the sauce wasn’t to my liking personally. I had to go up and get a dipping sauce. I got the “Mick” sauce and that was actually really nice!! The sweet potato chips were a little on the burnt side & didn’t have much flavour.<br/>As a foodie we love our food to be beautifully presented to which is was, but the only thing to critique with presentation was with my burger.. it has like a small rip out of the bun.

I've always been a bit scared of the wild west. But there were many restaurants doing good trade on the brightly lit strip.TSD has a funky fitout. The truck is cool even as a age 30 something I wanted to sit in it. However it is taking up potential space that could otherwise be seats, that could cost money over time from lost revenue if they are busy enough to fill the place,Since they offer a unique space my idea would be for guests to take their own photo inside and share it, the most shares/view/likes or comments would win a small voucher each month. It gets people talking and curious about visiting the place with a truck in the window.Everyone enjoyed all their food, chips were super crunchy I found the bun to meat ratio to be about right. A table of 7 but the food came in about 12 mins on a friday night. All the service was friendly. They should consider opening the concept in the south east, I think it is as good as yomg.

Enjoyed the Route 666 burger although a little too much mustard it was quite overpowering. My partner had the bacon bacon and finished it within a minute. Chips were great however it seemed the tomato sauce bottle was tampered with before squirting it out as it had soda like bubbles in it. Staff were really polite and also helped/apologised about the sauce situation. However was a great meal, can’t wait to try the other ones!

When you go to Truck stop Deluxe you have to try the Thomas jefferson burger it's so delicious. It would have to be the first time I've ever had mac n cheese in a burger. The only downfall Id say about this restaurant is the popcorn chicken as it was too dry and wasn't seasoned properly, other than that the food was great.
Joy
Very good portion, and it worth the price. The only problem is that the burger inside the buns was a little bit dry. Not many seats inside the restaurant.

Called in for a lunch time burger and to be honest was a little disappointed with the menu, all the burgers apart from the chicken one was relatively the same ! found it relatively expensive for what you get ! The burger was ok but I won’t go back ! service was good, atmosphere is OK, but nothing special

In west near Werribee station area, this is a very good burger joint. I love burger and after moving to west I have been searching for any good burger joint and come across this one. The bread could be a bit more soft and moist, not very dry. Otherwise the taste was s decent.
TheFussiestFoodie
Love the burgers here, have been many times and they have never screwed up my fussy changes. The food comes in a timely manner even when they are packed. My partner loves the El Gringo chicken burger cause they put corn chips on it!! The only down side is they don’t have pineapple to add to the burgers.
Nate
I'm never in this area but I found myself there for work one day and a colleague who lives out here has been raving on about this place.<br/>So we give it a go and by golly it's a good burger.<br/>Will definitely go here when back in the area to try all the other burgers too. Shakes looked good too but didn't want to risk the lactose whilst on the clock.

If your looking for burger with a bit of character ! Truck Stop Deluxe is where is at! <br/>Atmosphere of this place is great with friendliness and helpfulness of the staff make your dining experience even better! <br/>Comfort food with style, no need to travel to the city to get meh burger if you out in the Werribee area!

Great food, excellent for kids. Popcorn chicken, onion rings and the cheeseburger are favourites! Really cool having a truck in the middle of the restaurant, and a cool balcony area out the back
Max
Great burgers, a favourite is the Saintside. Love the chips here too and the caramelized onions on top of them. Thize place looks small but has a lot of character to it when you get inside. It is a bit pricey but worth the try!

We made the trip out to Werribee, great beer selection and ordered the popcorn chicken, onion rings, chilli cheese fries and the three fine and dandy burgers, the burger was good, but the buns were dry, extremely dry and felt like they were a day old. If serving brioche buns you need to keep them moist and 8-bit do this well by covering the roll as they heat it up on the grill. The sides were great and no complaint as well as serving my fav Doss Blockos beer.

I was craving to come here yet felt a bit disappointed afterwards. I had the route 666 and it was over cooked and not seasoned and not medium as they say it’s cooked. Not sure I’ll be back any time soon.

Burgers are still alright, colonel burger was still succulent. <br/>The problem I had was that they charged $1.50 for Chang's sauce when it was previously sitting on the table (now replaced with tobasco)<br/>Now that's daylight robbery

Friendly service, nice and clean environment, great burgers. What more can one ask for? So pleased to find such a great burger joint in werribee 😊 onion rings were amazing and the patties in the burgers are all done medium rare, just the way it's meant to be ! Will be back

Don't judge a book by its cover. The store from outside looks small. But inside its massive with a cool concept set up. The burgers are damn tasty. My favourite was the fried chicken and chilli fries. A little over priced but its worth it. Diffenatly go check it out.

It took me a while to finally eat here as I'm fiercely loyal to 8-Bit but honestly, this would have to be one of the tastiest beef burgers I've eaten! I ordered the Route 66 which was just an amazing combination of sourness from the pickles, hotness from the jalapenos and hot sauce and sweetness from the caramelised onions... I actually think it rivals 8-Bit and would definitely give them a run for their money! The fries are also good, not oily at all.

Is this a trucking good time?<br/><br/>Truck Stop Deluxe doesn't reveal itself at first, until you walk in and you're greeted with a truck to the left and a long passage to what seems to be endless amounts of seats. It gets busy in here, so Truck Stop gets points for accommodating room for burger lovers.<br/><br/>My experience wasn't all shiny. At first I saw lots of staff ignoring me and other guests for over 10 minutes. I didn't get their attention because I wanted to see how long it was before they stopped talking amongst themselves to offer a table to patiently waiting customers.<br/><br/>I'm not convinced with the truck inside, it's great for the kids, but I feel like it's a waste of space. It's unexpected and cool at first, but then the effect wears thin.<br/><br/>We tried the Fine and Dandy burger with grass fed patty, American cheddar, tomato, lettuce & special sauce on a toasted brioche bun. The main attraction was disappointing. The patty was nice, the special sauce is eerily similar to what's in the Big Mac sauce and the brioche bun is dry and tasteless. It's a nice burger that lacks the consistency and taste provided by the Theo burger at Huxtaburger and to a lesser extent burgers from 8bit. In short, lacks taste and uses one of the most ordinary brioche buns I have ever tasted in a burger.<br/><br/>The Mac and Cheese Croquette were perhaps the most disappointing sides I have had. It was large, but void of any taste. They should take note from Rockwell and Sons here.<br/><br/>The Crème Brûlée spiked milkshake with vanilla and brandy didn't include the toffee praline, which was strange as it was on the menu.<br/><br/>On the plus side, I can recommend the awesome Trucker Fries and the expensive Kinder Surprise spiked milkshake with Nutella, Frangelico, Baileys and a special surprise (it's really expensive, so weigh that up, it does taste amazing).<br/><br/>The waitress did make up for the initial hiccup we had by providing excellent table service.<br/><br/>In summary, I would try if you're in the area, but with ordinary burgers and a pricey menu, I would rather go to Huxtaburger or 8bit.

Top notch burgers and fries. Ordered the fine and dandy and onion rings. Burger was juicy and easy to handle. Service very solid. Definitely be back. Mark

Great burgers, beer on tap, okay sides.<br/><br/>I suppose it is inevitable that Truck Stop Deluxe will be compared to Grill'd, seeing as they both do great burgers although Truck Stop Deluxe is a little more expensive and does not have as much variety as Grill'd. Inside, Truck Stop is decorated with, well, trucks. Big trucks. Or a half a truck. The decor does work though, giving the place a unique feel and kids can even get in the half truck and play pretends so that will keep them out of your hair for a little while. The feel of the place that I got was that of a hybrid, kind of like a cross between a hipster place and a place that you can happily take your kids to. It sounds contradictory, but it does work.<br/><br/>A booth, a booth, my kingdom for a booth. There were three types of seating at Truck Stop. Towards the front there were some tables that were referred to as "high tables". These are my absolute worstest unfavouritest type of table. The table level is just above chest height, making me feel like a small child forced to sit at at the grown-up table because I'm a big boy now. This is just personal preference though, some people might actually prefer these tables. Next, making my eyes light up, were some booths. As we were being led to the seating "out the back", I said we would be happy to use one of the booths but the waitress said they were all reserved. Grrr. The seating out the back was made up of smaller picnic tables and benches and the walls were partly glass (lower half) and partly shutters (upper half) which were closed thankfully as the room was a bit cool. Not uncomfortably cold, but cool. The service during the night was good but not great; the food did come out all at once though, which is good (much better than one person watching others eat their food while waiting).<br/><br/>The burgers were not cheap but they were delicious, cooked exactly how a burger should be cooked. Each burger came half wrapped in waxed paper on a small metal tray, ready for you to hoe into. Just peel the paper back as you go. Even though the burgers had plenty of ingredients, it wasn't a very messy affair, which surprised me. I chose the 666 burger (jalapeños) which had a wonderfully nice bite to it. Boy #1 had the Bacon Bacon burger (no surprise there) while boy #2 (the skinny eating machine) had the Jefferson which was the biggest burger on the [now changed] menu. My wife had the fried chicken, which she said tasted about average for fried chicken but did not come with any sauce of any kind. Sauces cost extra, which we didn't notice at the time.<br/><br/>The side dishes ranged from good (chips, onion rings) to just okay (the not-so-crunchy sweet potato chips) to "meh" (the mac and cheese croquettes which were so bland nobody could taste any cheese). The cold beer (a refreshing 'Furphy' pale ale) went down a treat even though it was a cold night. Beer and burgers. Mmmm.<br/><br/>We were all happy we went to Truck Stop Deluxe as it was a step out of our comfort zone and had us trying somewhere different. We were all stuffed because we ordered a lot, not because the servings were overly generous, they were about average. If we are ever in Werribee again we could easily go back to Truck Stop but I wouldn't make a special trip just to eat there.

The atmosphere in this place was amazing. It was so cute and had trucks actually inside the shop (some for decoration & one was for where they actually Cook the food). I got the colonel burger and sweet potato fries. The burger had the right amount of sauce & the chicken was delicious. The sweet potato fries were also great. No faults about it :) my friend got the CB2 burger and Mac and cheese croquettes. I tried some of the croquettes and they were also great! My friend loved them as she is a big mac and cheese fan 🍔🧀

Absolute mean feed, definitely a cheat meal or guilty conscious meal place. If your the type of person who would happily eat a hsp and carry on with your life like you done nothing wrong. But deep inside you know you deserve the most painful death a fatty like you deserves, then I reccomend getting the burger with the mac and cheese, i forgot the name of the monstrosity. Its the classic burger you read and think Jesus that's a burger that is going to kill you, so you order it straight away knowing how great you feel when you devour it and then you finish and think what have a done, I feel like a death. If you smoke cigarettes I reccomend this burger cause you share the same mentality as most fat people like me, which is I am going to die someday might aswell enjoy the process. <br/>Had to shave a point- chips aren't my favorite, you compare chips to snitz and grilled and if chips aren't better or on that level you have to lose some points. But they got great service and finally something that is successful running at the joint. Previously was a great bar called hugos but didn't really hit it off. So happy some great things are happening in werribee.

Cute little burger joint nestled in Werribee. We ordered a burger each, a mac and cheese Croquettes each and trucker fries to share and that was more than enough! Enjoyed the burger, it was simple - not overly greasy like some other burger places I have been to. The croquettes looked better than they tasted, a bit on the bland side. The service was great, the food came quick and I enjoyed their soundtrack. :)
Thechickenscene
Hollywood and the Chick were hanging out near Werribee bouts and remember that there was a Melbourne Fried Chicken establishment making the rounds of the best fried chicken blogs. We were more in a sampling mood so we ordered the a few pieces of chicken, the popcorn chicken and some crispy onion rings

The decor of this place is very nice and cool. Such an enjoyable burger place but in need of more chicken burger variety, all together was a well enjoyed meal.

I really enjoyed my expierence at Truck Stop Deluxe. I liked the design of the car booths with the TV in the background, was entertaining. The booths allow for a nice personal expierence in the restraunt. It also allows for a easier conversation as there is not so much noise everywhere around you. I really enjoyed the presentation of my meal, by far my biggest highlight. The staff were nice and the food was average. The price was to be expected, however for $5 would have expected more chips... however was not a problem after devouring 3 big pieces of fried chicken! Next time I'm in the area, I know I can rely on a good meal here.

Love the theme of this burger place. Burgers are good and the donut ice cream is yummy. Not a fan of the fried chicken. Chips are nice. Pretty good for a local burger place.

Firstly, the coolest place ever. Looks tiny from the outside but you walk in and it's huge and unique and just has a lot of character! The burgers are actually fantastic and juicy and full of flavour and so many different options! 👍🏾
Madam Cranky Pants
Went here for lunch today had the Colonel Burger & my husband had the Route 666, ordered a side of Onion Rings and the trucker fries as well, the place has a funky vibe, the staff are friendly. Everything that we had was delicious will be back again. One thing that I really appreciated was the place was very clean as well. Certainly worth a try if you are in the area and wanting a burger. Prices are reasonable.

Burgers here are definitely up there with the best in Melbourne have only been once as I don't really go to Werribee often I got there version of the Big Mac and was quite impressive also had the deep fried Mac n cheese was a bit too much for me but still good

Before you even enter Truck Stop Deluxe you are visually impressed. They have put a lot of effort into the aesthetics of the place, with life size trucks you can sit in and comfortable booths for groups. The service is good being greeted quickly but no drinks offered straight away. There is a large range of burgers and sides on the menu, with an American theme throughout. I ordered a Bacon Bacon, 2 patties bacon cheese lettuce tomato pickles with chipotle and mayo. The burger is served on a metal diner tray and looks delicious with the cheese oozing. It was full of flavour and stayed together the whole time. The beef was a little over cooked for my liking, but they do point out they cook the patties Medium-Well. Other then that the only other complaint would be one serviette available for a big burger doesn't seem enough. Truck Stop is quality and would recommend it to anyone in the Weribee area, it has a fun feel and enough choices to return for something different.

Love this place! Great burgers and I especially like the onion rings and the mac and cheese croquettes. A bit overpriced overall, but generally tasty food in a fun themed atmosphere.

Lovely place, very nicely decorated. Expect truck themed seats and booths! The back seating area would be perfect for a party! It overlooks a walking trail and it was just lovely!<br/><br/>Expect food to resemble an American burger joint. Loved the colonel burger, chicken was fresh and crunchy! Chips were good too but would be lovely if they offered some dips!
GoJo Geoff
Enjoyed a great "Fine n Dandy" burger - full of flavour.  (link in bio for video review) Fresh ingredients, in store@ made pickles, sauce & pattie were yum. "Trucker" fries among the best loaded fries I've ever had - caramelized onions. Vanilla milkshake- let's just say delish!
MrJan
Vegetarian Burger for $12.....Too average to justify this price.<br/>Place looks nice, cool interior. <br/>Service friendly and prompt. <br/>I may have to try meat to see if the pricing is justified.
Melbourneats
Their burgers were juicy and tasty, not a fan of their chips but their mac and cheese croquettes were awesome. Drinks were pretty good too but are pricey for what it is as it wasn't orgasmic, it's more for presentation. Due for a return.<br/>Take your lover or friends here for some good burgers.
Lionel Gollan
It's a bummer that they're closed on Mondays, as this as when most truck drivers get held over.<br/><br/>I went here over a year ago, and it was delicious. Naturally I got double meat and downed a few beers. It was pretty good. I would have been back, but I'm not in town very often.
Joanne
Food: I ordered a Bacon Bacon burger, cheese and bacon waffle fries, and a waffle stack. Firstly - the waffle stack was amazing - I'd definitely come back for it. The burger however was average, the patty was dry, and nothing too special that you couldn't get from any other burger place. The waffle fries were not worth their price as a serving included around 8 "fries" and the cheese tasted bland and powdery.<br/><br/>Service: The service is what brought my experience down the most. After paying and leaving, we checked the receipt to find that they had overcharged us for the already overpriced waffle fries. When we rang up, the employee confirmed that it was $8 on the menu however it was $9 on their system which is why we were charged extra. No apology was given and no offer to refund our money. SHOCKING, RUDE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL.

Well well! A place that's actually lived up to the hype, the burgers where awesome. The mac & cheese croquette on the Francis Underwood was delicious! I would have given this place 5 stars if the bacon had been cooked a tad more on the bacon bacon burger but I'm not complaining as that burger was also lovely. My partner and I shared two burgers and a serve of chilli cheese fries, just enough room left for the ice cream donut sandwich!! Definitely recommend this place, nice fit out and super friendly staff where a bonus.

This is the next installment in our Melbourne burger adventure. And much like their City and Ascot Vale siblings, Truck Stop Deluxe is another delicious stop on the Melbourne fringe. <br/><br/>With the Truck themed surrounds and laid back style, you are able to savior the delights, & delightful they are! From the generous drippings of the chili cheese fries, to the decadent burgers you really are spoilt for choice. The wider burger options than the city is another appreciated. The Mac & cheese croquet is phenomenal and not to be missed, crispy, creamy and not one bit of gluginess make this the perfect side. <br/><br/>Furphy on tap and super sweet milkshakes compliment the mains with ease. Finish it all off with the ice cream sandwich, which is made from a freshly made donut stuffed with delicious ice cream? Well, you may require one of their trucks to roll you out of the store, how convenient of them to have them there, at the ready?! Bonus! <br/><br/>Need to satisfy the burger need on the West side? They've got you covered.
Cristian
Gotta love a good burger and truck stop deluxe delivered on that!! <br/><br/>The setup is really cool and the decor is great with a couple of full size truck cabins inside. <br/><br/>The menu is quite extensive and it was hard to pick but it's definitely somewhere I'll go again to try something new. See for yourself and try to stop your mouth from watering when reading the menu 👌🏼👌🏼

Saw my burgers waiting to be delivered but the staff just messed and joked around with each other. When I finally got it, it was cold, salty and sugary. <br/><br/>2/10 rip my toilet.

Great find in Werribee, definitely worth the drive!<br/>Portions are great and the service was really good. I didn't get a chance to try any desserts but was able to see them going to our neighbouring tables and will definitely have to go back and try them. Mac and cheese in a burger was just amazing 😛
St4n4zol
Had the fine and dandy and a colonel.....both were magnificent. Everything was fresh, cooked very well and the bun was first class . Sides were top notch and so was the milkshake....I went for the non alcoholic variety. Definitely worth the drive to Werribee....put it on your list!

Delicious burgers. Loads of ingredients and combinations. Staff is very good and friendly. Prices are good for the quality. The burgers are well engineered and they don't fall apart, and that's not a common thing. Liked a lot, will be back

Not my first time here but I went just to try out the recent burger special.<br/><br/>On order: a Bo Darville, the Colonel, popcorn chicken, trucker fries, and a mac and cheese croquet for a total of $42.<br/><br/>I had the Bo Darville, which was stuffed with a kransky, beef patty, an onion ring, cabbage slaw, and smoky BBQ sauce. To me, it seems that it's all hype. The flavour wasn't bad mind you, I just thought that a cheeseburger just generally tastes better than this creative concoction. Not really my palate but it wasn't bad. The patty was well done though, tsk tsk.<br/><br/>The Colonel, aka their fried chicken burger was pretty good. No real complaints, probably can contend with other burger joints in the west for one of thr best chicken burger.<br/><br/>Popcorn chicken was nice, props to the waiter since he stuffed up my order so we got this for free. Nice one guys lol<br/><br/>And lastly, the trucker fries. Interestingly enough Mr. Burger also has a loaded chips menu item of the same name. Truck stop's isn't as good though. It's got caramelised onions, pickles, and a secret sauce. Not bad.<br/><br/>Maybe I'll come back just to rectify my rating since I usually order a cheeseburger with bacon. We'll see.
TastebudTrail
Went on a Friday night and it was busy, but not overly loud inside. Kids would love the huge truck cabins in the actual restaurant. We ordered a chicken burger, their trucker fries (forgot what they were called) and some fried chicken. We also got desserts - the waffle ice cream sandwich and the ice cream donuts. The meals themselves were a bit average but the desserts were soooo good! I would definitely go again and have the amazing desserts! Overall, it was a pleasant night and the service was friendly and efficient.
Rhiannon Beck
Amazing fit out!! 3 of us headed here for Sunday dinner. Service was quick & friendly. Caramel milkshakes were solid. After being designated driver all weekend I ordered an espresso martini - sign of a true cheat meal. The Francis Underwood burger was very rich with a mac n cheese croquette but enjoyed it. Boys were happy with their Bacon Bacon and Colonel burgers.
Teomelvin39
Food: Superb burger with chicken patty infused with buttermilk and some spices. The freshness of the coleslaw gave me a good chilli kick as I cleared my palate after each bite. <br/>A battered onion rings were well-fried and not soggy. It was likely seasoned to taste the freshness of the onion.<br/>As other reviewers have said and I agreed, they did serve one of the best fries in town.<br/><br/>Service: unfriendly, not polite and rude service.
Hanh Hong Le
We ordered the fine & dandy/ the colonel/ chilli cheese fries/ onion rings/ salted Carmel milkshake hold the alcohol. The experience was great! Staff were really friendly as well as the vibe. Not being from that area it was very unexpected to find a "great" burger joint as I always travel to Fitzroy or CBD. But I was greatly surprised. The burgers were really tasty as well as the onion rings, officially my fave. But unfortunately the shake was average as was the chilli cheese fries. Don't get me wrong it had the right amount of spice/crispiness and taste but the cheese was very odd, felt a tad grainy. Overall good night out with my partner.
Nigel Fds
Great theme. Tasty burgers. Good service. <br/>We ordered the Colonel , Bacon Bacon and Francis Underwood burgers ... all were good .<br/>Bacon bacon could have needed some more sauces. <br/>Also ordered the truckers fries , was nice well presented.
Jake
Best burgers in the west! Been there a few times with friends and each time the burgers have made us come back for more. I ordered the fine an dandy with an extra patty and its one of those things that when it tastes that good you know its bad for you.
Jason Griffin
Great food and very friendly staff. We had 2 of there more expensive burgers and they did not disappoint they were perfectly cooked for all good burger lovers and not over stacked like some other burgers i have had. Overall great experience. Also one of the coolest looking food joints i have been to taking the truck stop literally.
Ellasyn
Funky decor. Pretty good burgers. Nice staff. <br/>I wasn't a fan of the buns, sweet tasting (brioche style) but reminded me of stale Coles bread rolls. <br/>Burger contents was good. Meat and sauce were tasty. <br/>I had the Fine and Dandy (basic one) add Beetroot. <br/><br/>Most of the burgers on the menu were either double patty or had extras like Mac and cheese etc..<br/>So if you're pretty hungry this place would provide a good feed.<br/><br/>Fries were okay, not my favourite, but fresh from the fryer so nice and hot. <br/>I wouldn't go out of my way to drive to Werribee for this place... But, if I happened to be in the area I would probably go back.
Gerard Dillon
Big double patty burgers loaded smothered in cheese and sauce, with pickles inside a soft brioche bun. Portion sizes are substantial. Great restaurant atmosphere with truck cabins inside to add that truck stop feel. Service was good.

Was fairly keen to visit Truck Stop Deluxe, due to their very entrancing looking burgers. I was pleased that the place was open until 9pm on a weekday, as most burger restaurants close earlier. I loved the idea of the trucks inside the store as it different, whilst including creativity and fun. I ordered the Gregory Sams Sandwich, along with some onion rings, sweet potato fries and Trucker Fries. My family also got a chocolate milkshake to share.<br/><br/>The chocolate milkshake was delicious! There was an adequate amount of sweetness.<br/><br/> Our food took about 15 - 20 minutes to be brought out to us. The burger was clean - there was no sauce dribbling out or other pieces coming out of the burger. The burger was flavourful and the buns were soft. A great vegetarian option.<br/><br/>I also had a taste of the Fine and Dandy, which was a pretty average tasting burger. The meat wasn’t overly juicy, and the buns complemented the patty and vegetables nicely.<br/><br/>The fries and the onion rings were amazing! A definite recommendation. They weren’t too oily or too soft. They had perfect amount of crispiness.<br/><br/>The place had a chill and relaxing aura. The staff members were welcoming and kind.<br/><br/>If you have a chance to stop by Truck Stop Deluxe, definitely drop by! The place is great to meet up with friends, or to just simply enjoy a pleasant meal.

Love the decor of this place, if you like to be the talk of the restaurant make sure to snag the table for 2 inside the truck. Really quirky. Their optimus Prime and Bacon Bacon is my pick of the bunch. Don't expect to do much moving after having the former, its probably the biggest burger i've had till date. Their Grand Trailer Park joint in the city is also equally as good.

Surprisingly delicious!<br/>Not like any burgers I've had, beautiful brioche bun, fresh fillings. Hubby went back for a second fine & dandy he enjoyed it so much. I ate the Gregory sams, very filling and tasty - maybe would've liked slightly less mustard if I were to nitpick. But not much else to criticise... Upgraded toilet amenities would be one.<br/>At first glance we were disappointed the menu didn't have healthy options but really enjoyed the meal. Service was efficient and friendly. The gimics are interesting and fun,<br/>Love them!

I've heard a lot of good feedback about this place and i finally got to try this place last night. The deco in the restaurant is quite special and they also have a back dining area thats pretty nice. We had the Mc Dowell burger, some fried chicken and the chilli fries. They were all ok but werent really executed right. What i had simply were just like over-rated mcdonalds burgers or kfc chicken.<br/>

Really love the fit out of this place and the staff/style (for which is enough for me to go back), but I must admit I found the burgers way too greasy and thought there'd be more options. It's only one visit, so happy to be proven wrong next time!
Iris Myandowski
I'll admit it. The main reason I chose to eat here was the similarity of their logo to the Babysitters Club book logo. More vegetarian options would be welcomed but overall good fun and a good beer on tap.

The drive here was well worth it! Not only do the burgers remind me of the states but the service matches up as well! So great that kids get an activity pack. Food was served super quick it was fresh just so good I can't wait to come back and try more my only regret on Mother's Day was that I wished I ordered the waffles around 8pm on the couch 😝
Luc
Just got back from this place well worth the drive to werribbe the burgers are awesome and so are the chilli cheese fries will definitely be back try the optimus prime if you dare massive and tasty
Lexie
So damn good.<br/>Went tonight, now am officially in a food coma on my couch.<br/>Everything was fresh and delicious, best burgers in Melbourne for sure.<br/>The bun was perfection, light and soft, held together really well even with heaps of toppings.<br/>The mac and cheese croquettes were scrumptious, the onion rings were crispy and fresh.<br/>I wish they served aioli or some dippig sauces with the sides but other than that, perfect.
Michael
Better than 8 bit. <br/>The Chilli frise amazing, burgers awesome little grease cooked to however you want.<br/>Price is reasonable, would like them to introduce mushrooms again back on the menu.

Classic burger place love the decor but he food wasn't disappointing either ! Disgustingly good truck stop food ! Reasonably priced and great service ...

You cannot fault the ambiance of this kitschy American-esqe diner/truck stop; from its hollowed up truck cab booths, to its breezy deck flush with picnic tables overlooking the river, Truck Stop Deluxe is worth a visit simply to bask in the brilliance of great interior design. There are further cute and clever flourishes throughout (like the condiments stored in yellow and black tool boxes) which add to the overall visual appeal and atmosphere of the place.<br/><br/>As for the food itself: those who are familiar with the simple and sweet all American burger restaurant will likely enjoy the experience as their tastebuds transport them instantly across the Pacific. The Fine and Dandy is true to its name sake: a simple burger with a typically American overly sweet bun, deliciously rounded ingredients and perhaps just a tad too much grease. For the price tag (which I found reasonable considering the quality) I'd take one of these over fast food any day of the week.<br/><br/>Come with family, friends or just by your lonesome to enjoy a wholesome taste of the US.

Have only visited once so far which was a so so experience, had the Route 666 burger which despite their claims of it being hot wasn't the least bit spicy in fact it just tasted like a standard cheeseburger with a bunch of jalapeño's added, I wasn't that thrilled with the fries either which had a weird powdery texture to them. <br/><br/>It's good to see a joint like this pop up in this part of Melbourne which has long been a wasteland of crap franchise fast food places, I will try them again with different combo which hopefully hit's the mark a little closer.
Our Foodie Finds
A local favorite for our mates over in the west situated on good old Watton Street down the Hungry Jacks end, Truck stop brings a touch of the late night highway food into the local streets. Fitted adequately with truck parts and booths, the setting and feel of the design makes for the beginnings for a good old American trucker meal.<br/><br/>Had the Francis Underwood along with some fried chicken and the chicken was good, slightly over cooked but was OK as the sauce was awesome. Can't remember what it was but all we remember was that the burger needed to replace the beef pattie with the chicken and the sauce it came with. We could've given the Francis Underwood a miss had we not substituted the beef pattie for the chicken and the sauce it came with. We should've gone for the locals favorite: McDowell's! Next time.<br/><br/>Overall the place is good and makes for a great hang out as the backend of the restaurant backs out onto the Werribee river via an enclosed deck and makes for a great sunny afternoon chill sesh. Staff here are friendly and helpful when needed, prices are reasonable, table comes with complimentary condiments (like various hot sauces!) and if you're on the deck out back, the view isn't too bad either.

Yes I am slightly biased when it comes to places in the West. But I don't have to be when it comes to TSD, this place has amazing burgers. Top notch, even with the myriad of burger joints popping up around town and csn arguably be on my top five. The patties were thick, pink and juicy, and the bun was not overly soggy nor sweet. The fries and chilli loaded fries was yummy, although it could've had more chilli. The readily condiments available, along with wet towels, was a nice touch; pleasantly complemented with solid service from the girls. I'd stop my truck here anytime.

Went for Dinner on Saturday night with the family. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. Only 1 issue, we ordered the Fried Chicken and it was over cooked and disappointing. Have since had a friend tell me that the fried chicken is always good... Maybe we just got unlucky. <br/><br/>Certainly not a reason to not go back for the Burgers. <br/><br/>Ice cream Donuts were fantastic. <br/><br/>If you have a young family and need a place were they can be loud and entertained (on the big truck's) then this is the place for you.

omg. anytime i eat here i have a food orgasm. 10/10  the best burgers going around.!!!!<br/>

Went there with  group and was told we could not sit together and pay separate nor would they let us order at the front & take it to the table to eat so we sat outside and had our stuff brought out in big paper bags.  The people there did not seem to know how to accommodate a group and could offer no suggestions.  The onion rings were cold when we got them and the 2 different types of fries were just nasty tasting so we threw them away.  We are from the USA and was hoping for a good home experience and we got poor service, poor food and poor attitude.  I will keep looking for a TRUE place that honors the USA idea of customer service, low prices and good food.  This is definitely NOT it.  Save your money.

A really nice addition to the werribee. Great burger. Great sides. Great value. Great service. Fun fitout. Definitely worth a try if your in the area

Absolutely delicious! I was taken here for a surprise dinner by my partner! We got burgers, truckers fries, popcorn chicken and Mac and cheese (we had to try it all!). Everything was on point - hot and tasty! Will be coming back again and bringing the fam!

By any stretch of the imagination, I am not a "burger" person. Having said that, I have consumed my fair share of burgers over the years and the burgers at Truck Stop Deluxe in W'Bee was pretty impressive... To the point where I finished my burger. And it was a HUGE burger! <br/><br/>My burger rating scale is as follows:<br/><br/>Truck Stop Deluxe 8.0 - 9.0<br/>Industry Beans 6.5 - 7.5<br/>Mr Burger - 5.5<br/>McD's Big Mac - 4<br/>8bit Footscray - negative 100 million trillion<br/><br/>The burger at Truck Stop wasn't overly greasy, and it was tasty without being too meaty. The sauces definitely carries the flavours of the USA. And the atmosphere was really innovative with friendly and efficient service.<br/><br/>Their kinder surprise milkshake was definitely a surprise. I didn't expect to get the actual chocolate. The milkshake itself was forgettable, but that's not why I would go to Truck Stop Deluxe.<br/><br/>I wouldn't hesitate to return to try their other burgers. This is a win for W'Bee!

Had the Francis underwood & chilli con carne fries (to share). Awesome meal and was really happy with the both the burger and side. Also had the waffle stack which was okay. Staff were super friendly & the restaurant decor was very unique!

Ordered the bacon bacon, a hearty burger and wasn't overpriced like you often see at some burger places. Chipotle sauce inside was delicious, however, it was drenched only on one side of my burger making it quite overpowering where I began eating, then bland toward the end. Definitely recommend adding caramelised onion. Chilli cheese fries lacked some kick and seasoning, chips were brilliantly crunchy. Atmosphere was perfect to slide back a few bevs. Overall, a pleasant burger experience. <br/>

Ordered the Saint side with an extra patty, it was tasty, however was very small for a burger that cost $18, very overpriced in comparison to lots of burger joints around Melbourne, will not rush back here any time soon.

Onion ringers, burgers & chili fries 🍟🍔 With a massive Truck cabin as you walk in, to the USA style diner booth seating and the little touches like a tool boxes to hold the cutlery it's fun place to eat.We choose to sit in the back deck area with a view of the #Werribee trail.Being the sibling to @grandtrailerpark you know your in for a good feed.Lots of options on the menu and the dessert options caught my eye #wizzfizz #icecream anyone? Or doughnuts stuffed with icecream?.After checking out the grand opening @royalstacksau I had to check out @truckstopdeluxe Dani Zeini’s and partners other ventures 👌🏻
Mr MM Smith
went there not long after it first opened and had the McDowell..what I recall was the burger being drowned in sauce, thus making the meat itself taste like..well, some kind of sauce. I found the burger to be overrated. I haven't been back, and for $15 I am certain I can find a better burger...better still, I could make one myself.

Loved it! The burger craze in Melbourne continues, but still not everyone can get it right! Great food, great atmosphere & friendly staff! <br/>This place is awesome if you want an awesome burger!! <br/>will definitely drive the hour to get another burger!!! Delicious!

I stopped in here for the first time on Saturday.. I'd been in Geelong with my 2 kids and thought it the perfect opportunity to sample some of the delights on the way back through to Melbourne. It's a bit out of the way otherwise.. <br/>Glad we stopped, for sure.. We grabbed a table outside in the glorious Werribee sunshine and ordered.. I had the bacon bacon; a double pattie, double cheese, double bacon monstrosity with pickles and I got some jalapeños added too, washed down with a couple of Pacific Ales by stone & wood brewery and the chilli fries. The burger was bangin, couldn't fault it.. The chilli could've used a bit more seasoning, but people that know me know I like a lot of salt, so it's probably perfect for most.. The beer list was a little on the skinny side compared to what was on the webpage but I'm just being picky now. <br/>The kids had some fries and popcorn chicken which I tried and it was real good. <br/>The standout for us was the service..The staff were super friendly, when ordering I asked for another glass for the coke (so the kids could share it) and he just gave us another glass full.. It's only post mix and doesn't cost them anything but it's the vibe that counts. After reading a few reviews I was expecting a wait but the food came out really quickly and the guy that served us noticed I was getting low on my beer and brought me out another and told me to fix it up later.. one of the other fellas brought the kids out a donut ice cream sandwich on the house, we were planning on buying one but he brought it out just as they were finishing their chips.. Good timing! What a bunch of legends! <br/>The only downside and it had nothing to do with the staff or venue was the fanatical and extremist Christian on the PA system about 50m down the street raving about homosexuals and sinners.. It was kind of funny though. <br/>I would definitely return if in the area, maybe sit inside next time though.

It was with much expectation that I came all the way west of Melbourne to visit Truck Stop Deluxe. In fact, I was in Woodend riding my mountain bike, and took a 30 minute detour on the way home specifically to check it out. Truck Stop Deluxe was opened recently by the same crew that is behind Dandenong Pavilion and Grand Trailer Park Taverna. Keen readers will remember my fondness for the great work done at Trailer Park, and perhaps my ambivalence towards Dandenong Pavilion, despite their massive reputation and tasty burgers.

This joint is new in the area. So decided to hit this place for a Sunday cheat day. I was very impressed with the decor.. the service was very good. The burgers were amazing. We ordered 2 burgers at the start and went for second rounds. The bun was realy soft and so good. Will be difently coming back again.

Liked it a lot.<br/>Burgers were a decent size with fat meat patties.<br/>The Optimus prime was to big for me just couldn't eat it all and that's a first for me.<br/>Great service with a friendly smile from all the staff.<br/>Will be back for more.
Hello. Imnikki
Finally got around to trying this place. Have always wanted to see if it matches up with both Dandenong Pavilion and Grand Trailer Park and we weren't disappointed. The first thing that greets you is a huge truck fitted inside the shop. I felt like a kid in Disneyland. We ordered the Ivan Drago and Route 666. Both were delicious! Loving the beef patties. Thick and juicy, such meaty goodness. The s'mores wagon wheel milkshake was a bit pricey but you gotta factor in the fact that it's spiked with alcohol and that it is quite a big serving. Definitely a must if you like alcohol and sweets.

Went this evening to discover the hype of TSD. Turns out many other people did too. We couldn't get a table so had to eat outside which was fine, but were told there was a 15/20 minute wait for a table. After about 30 minutes and $55 later for 2 of us, i decided to see if we could get that table (we had our baby with us and it had turned very cold) we were told may be available, as a table of 6 who were also sitting outside were told they could have a table because they were freezing! I was told since we had ordered take away, that we werent allowed to sit inside. After another 10 minutes our burgers came out, at last! Took us 5 minutes to eat and the only bit really worth the wait was the tomato sauce and mustard! After tonights performance in all aspects, i cant say we'll be rushing back.
